It's been 3 years since we first saw avneil onscreen with this promo which aired on 3rd March 2017 and the first avneil episode which aired on 6th March 2017.

I know that We all are missing them badly 😭😢..

They have made a small corner in our hearts and are still alive in our hearts.

This chapter is dedicated to them and this special date - '6th March'

I forgot to tell earlier that Neil was 4 years elder than Avni. When she was 16, he was 20!

Tina was married to Rakesh Gupta and stayed in Delhi with her son. Her son was 3 years old. She helped her husband in her in-laws family business. She went to visit Khanna family only during occasions like birthdays but she never met Neil. She wanted to confront him but Neil was never ready to listen to anything about the Mehta family. Neil rarely stayed at home. Whenever he came to Delhi, he either spent his time with his dad or in Chamko Cafe. Neil used to avoid speaking to Shweta or Bebe for he knew they will bring up the topic of Mehta family.

Neil also ignored meeting Tina most of the time. He never had his original smile after that incident. But today, it seemed like no one other than Tina could help him to get whatever happened in past. 

The more he thought about Avni's words the more he was pulled into the past. 

The worst fight always occurs between the mind and the heart. Obviously! The brain is heartless and the heart is brainless. They can never think in each others perspective. Neil was facing it now. A World War 3 was going on between his mind and heart.

Though he had been hating Avni for the last 7 years, she still stayed in the little corner of his heart. He wanted to believe Avni but at the same time he couldn't. He needed to learn the truth! 

The same truth from which he had been running away all these years. The same truth he despised to know. The same truth which can make everything crystal clear to him and only Tina could answer him.

" Mom, I want Tina di's address." He called Shweta and asked without a 'Hi'.

"Tillu, why suddenly?"

"Mom I don't have much time to answer. Please Whats-app me the address." Neil didn't wait for a reply and cut the call.

He was desperate! He had been sweating badly. He tried to take off all his emotions. He couldn't and so decided to take a shower. The cold water ran down his well trimmed muscles. His head cooled down but the war was still going on---

"She is a criminal Neil" his brain said.

"Avni is right. You are a criminal. She is telling the truth. Believe her." his heart echoed.

And it went onnn.....

He came out of the bathroom and slouched on the couch. Just then his phone rang. It was 10pm. Who could it be?

"Hello" he spoke with a tired voice without looking at the name of the caller.

"Hello Neil."

It was Raj sir, his director of his present TV show which was going off air.

"Yes sir."

"Neil we are planning to shoot the last to episodes after 3 days. I will call you when you have to come. No shoot tomorrow."

"Okay sir."

In general case he used to ask the reason for giving a day off but today he agreed in one go. This was unusual. Even director Raj was puzzled by his behaviour.

Neil laid on his bed with eyes fixed at the ceiling. Avni's words still ringing in his ears. 

Notification tone...

Neil picks up his phone and booked his tickets for Delhi. He silently thanked his Raj sir. Before leaving he wanted to meet Avni. he knew it was late.

10:45 pm. His mobile screen showed. He was standing outside Avni's apartment. With a deep breathe, he went upstairs only to find the door locked. He went down and asked the watchman about her.

"Madam went away two hours back."

"What?? Where did she go?"

"Don't know sir. She left with all her luggage."

Neil stood their with shock. Just a few hours back, she was with him and now she is gone. How was it possible?

He sat inside in his car and called DD.

"DD, do you have Vidyut's number?"

"Which Vidyut?"

"Arre, our college friend Vidyut."

"Ohh, yes I have. But why do you need it suddenly."

"I will tell you later. Just send me his number."

DD knew something was really wrong with Neil. He never reacted like that even in the case of professional urgency.

NEW DELHI

5:00am

There was continuous knocks on the door. 

"Who is this knocking continuously that also early in the morning..." a lady grumbled as she went to open the door only to receive a shock. A boy of 27 standing outside the door with restlessness. Her face changed into different expressions. First worried at his condition and then a bit angry. She never expected him at her doors.

"Tum!" she said shocked to see the guy at the door. Her face was burning with anger on seeing him and was about to close the door at his face when he stopped her.

"Tina di, please listen to me once. I need your help."

"Why have you come here Neil? And what kind of help are you expecting from me?" Yes she was angry. Neil's face reminded her of Avni. She had seen her in pain with her own eyes.

"To get enlightened about the past."

"Oh really!" She said with a sarcastic laugh. " Which past Neil? The past from which you wanted to run away. Or you want to know the truth you never bothered to hear."

" Di, I know I have done a mistake by running away  from hearing the truth..." He was cut by Tina.

"Why have you been running away? Either you tell me or go away and search for the truth yourself."

"I don't know." 

"Wow!" She was been sarcastic yet it was hurting her more than him. She never believed that Neil would do something like that. She always felt that there was some mistake. It seemed necessary to tell him the truth but at the same she didn't want to because it made her cry. 

"Come in" she said a little softer.

Neil quietly entered while Tina went inside. She saw her husband and son sleeping. She quietly opened the drawer and took the keys.

"Take this" she said handing the keys to Neil. "Go to London. You will find the truth yourself."

"But where?"

"Our house and Avni's room." She whispered and looked away. Tears were bulging out of her eyes. Neil left without another word. Tina went to the temple and prayed for both Neil and Avni.

LONDON.

Neil entered a dark and dusty house which had been locked for a long time now. Without wasting any time he closed the main door behind and went upstairs to the guest room mainly Avni's room. He had no idea where to look. He started searching for some clue.

When you desperately are in search of something and you put all your mind and soul in that, God will always help you. Today Neil was searching for the truth with his mind and heart both into it. There was a sudden noise of something falling down. Neil walked towards the sound and saw a diary fallen down. He picked it up with teary eyes and dusted it to have a look at it.

It was the same diary he had gifted her. The diary where she would write all her feelings when he would be away. 

Neil sat down in a corner and caressed the diary. It was not in the same condition. The edges and corners were burned a little and black soot all over. Did she try to burn it or saved it from getting burned? He wondered.

His fingers trembled as he opened the diary. An envelope was acting as a bookmark for a page. Neil ignored it and started to read from the initial page. He went through the pages and laughed at some of her antics written. He was getting the flashbacks of the happy time they had spent together. He forgot all the grudges against her and enjoyed reading each and every word. It seemed like there was nothing wrong between them. They were still together.

Then the part came where she had written about her father's death. Neil shook suddenly. His smile vanished as he read.

"Neil, at least you believe me. I have not killed my dad. I love my papa so much. You know that, right? Neil, I am telling the truth. When I reached there, I saw my dad lying on a pool of blood and a knife stabbed on his belly. Neil, I didn't kill my dad. My grandmother saw me near dad and assumed that I have killed him. Neil, I didn't. I know you will trust me."

There were signs of her crying while writing it. The dried tear drops. He moved ahead. Only two lines were written but it meant a lot.

"Neil, thank you. Thank you for helping me in getting over my papa's death. I love you."

It was written on the day before their memorable night. He moved to the next page. It had been written on the day he had left for Delhi.

"Neilu, why did you leave me. You know that I feel lonely without you but still you left without meeting me. I am angry with you. How dare you leave. I am already missing you. Please come back soon. I want to tell lots to you. Before that you will get a punishment. You have to get me Ice-creams and chocolates. I love you. Take care of yourself and comeback soon. Remember my Ice Cream!"

Neil laughed at her innocence. She was cute and he knew that. He felt his Avni with him...beside him. She cared so much about him that it made it difficult for him to believe her crimes. His heart was overpowering his brain. The room was another factor for his change. The room had lots of memories. The next page had an envelope stapled with it.

"Neilu, we have made a very big mistake. Yes, I know it's a mistake. Neilu, I am PREGNANT with YOUR Child. Neilu, I know it's shocking for you. Even I was shocked hearing the doctor. I didn't want to believe. I am just 16 and it's such a big thing. I didn't know how to react. I thought only abortion could solve the problem. Neil, I wanted to abort but Tina di stopped me. I hope you are not angry with my decision. Tina di said that I must speak to you. When are you coming Neil? I miss you a lot. I need you"

The last line made Neil repent for what he had done the day when he had return. He was getting all flashbacks.

"It means that Avni was pregnant when I had pushed her. What have you done Neil? What the hell you have done. Yes Neil. You are a criminal. How can you kill your own unborn baby?" Neil said to himself. He was regretting to the very extent of the pain he had given to Avni.

Tears were flowing from his cheeks. His fingers trembled as he opened the envelope. It was the pregnancy report saying: POSITIVE.

"That means she was not lying. I was a fool to not believe her. She trusted you Neil. What have you done?" Neil was literally banging his head on the wall.

But there was more to come.....The upcoming would bestriking him badly.

He didn't what was going to come up. He flipped the page. His hands were already numb. His body half frozen with his guilt.

"You came and you left. What have I done Neil? Why did you give me such a big punishment? Did you got to know that I was pregnant and so you left me like other guys do? But you could have told me to abort. Why did you kill our baby? Why did you give me so much pains? Neil, why have you done this? I didn't do anything with your family. Why were you blaming me? Has your trust for me vanished? Tell me Neil. I want an answer? Why did you kill our baby? I don't know what has happened with your family nor do I know what had happened to Prakash uncle. I didn't kill my dad Neil. Why don't you believe me? You didn't even wait for my answer. This is not my Neil. I am sure someone is paying game with us. I know you can't do this to me..."

Avni still believed that Neil couldn't do this to him. She still trusted him like hell...but he??

Neil kept flipping the pages with immense disbelieve. The next page was full of dried tear drops

"I hate you Neil. I hate you. You have broken my trust Neil Khanna. First you kill our baby and then cheat on me. How could you Neil? How dare you? I had thought that you were different than the other guys. You were an honest person with a good heart. You proved me wrong! You kept on playing behind my back. Why did you do this Neil? What was my fault? I thought of our future. I thought we will be like a happy married couple after our marriage. I was such a big fool to have believed in your care and fake love. I was such a fool to imagine our marriage. How would I know that you would turn up to be a BLOODY WOMANIZER! Thanks to Juhi and Mitali that I came to know about your true colors. I believed you even after they showed me the proof. But I couldn't ignore the proof too. I saw the proof a million times but it only made me believe that you are a bloody liar and a cheat. I hate you Neil but I won't leave you until and unless I get my answer."

Neil was in dilemma. 'WOMANIZER' she had written. His jaw tightened on reading. He couldn't believe that Avni thought him to be a womanizer. He was puzzled about what proof she was talking about.

Neil was in dilemma but he still carried his brain along with him. "Juhi and Mitali" he repeated softly. "Oh yes. Who else could have filled Avni's mind with doubts?"

He read further. It was the last note written on the diary and it was long. It was written after 3 months.

"You left me with millions of doubts. You left me lying down in a blood pool. You left without looking back at me. You left me broken. You cheated behind my back. You took advantage of the situation. You blamed me for your father's condition. But hard to believe that you were giving excuses for leaving me. That's what you have done Neil. Am I right? That's the reason you never came back. That's the reason you never heard what I wanted to say. That's the reason why you didn't want to know the truth. Am I right Mr. Neil Khanna? But do you know what you have done to me?

You made me lie on hospital bed for a month.

Whenever I thought about you, I used to get panic attacks.

Because of you I had to be with the counsellor.

Just because of you I have to take sleeping pills.

You blamed me for your father's condition, right? Do you know the truth? Oh! I forgot! How will you know? You didn't even try to hear. Well then listen.

Dayawanti had killed my father. Yes, she was the one not me. My own grandmother had killed her own son and blamed me for that. And again Dayawanti Mehta was responsible for your father's condition not me. Your whole family knows it now. And you? The person whom I trusted more than myself cheated on me. Didn't trust me? Wow! That's Incredible!

I believe that the person I trust the most always leave me. Thanks to you. You opened my eyes.

Don't think I still love you. I hate you the most. More than you, I hate myself for loving you so dearly. I want to erase every memory I made with you. I am leaving. I am burning this diary and the heart shaped locket you had gifted me. If you still have a bit of affection for me...oh sorry! I forgot. You never loved me. Okay, so if you still have a bit of humanity left in you...never show me your face or Avni will die forever and won't come back even if you call her....."

"Avni! You can't leave me like this. No Avni You can't leave me." Neil almost screamed. He was broken into bits. He recalled their last conversation and cried with guilt.

"I am sorry Avni. You have suffered so much because of me. I am sorry! I know that I am not worth your forgiveness but please come back. Neil has never cheated on his Avni. I know I have reacted very badly out of anger. But I never cheated on you. Please come back Avni. Neil is nothing without you.

Then he remembered 'Juhi and Mitali'. Neil made a tight fist and hit on the wall.

"It was all planned. I promise you Avni. I promise you Avni that I will make everything right between us. I promise you that Avni and Neil will again come back. I will bring back our UNBREAKABLE AVNEIL BOND."

Suddenly his phone rang.

"Vidyut, did you get any news."

"No Neil. There is no sign of her. It seems like she has vanished in thin air....."

Precap: Neil was sitting on the chair with his head down and tears welled up. He saw a figure coming towards him. She was wearing White salwaar kameez with yellow dupatta.

"Avni" he mumbled....
