after having various vodka drinks and various shots of any liquor i could find, i realised that my alcohol tolerance isn't as high as it used to be.

"jack! hey!" i buoyantly greeted, seeing him standing a wall talking to a pretty, brunette.

"uh, hey sof" jack hesitantly said, elevating his eyes at my drunk self.

"who's this?" i questioned. "a-another...another one of your girls?".

"who's she?" the girl asked.

"just my sister's friend" jack answered. i laughed and squeezed in between them.

"aw come on! i'm more than that, i'm your friend too!" i corrected, then turned to the girl. "are you jack's friend?".

jack leant into my ear, "i was hoping we'd do more than what friends do".

my brows frowned, "oh wait, wait, this is maya? maya gates!".

"hi" she gave me a smile that was clearly filled with sarcasm. i could tell that i was bugging her, but i've had way too much to drink to care.

"jack's told me so much about you. you know, with how he wants to fu—".

"sofia!" jack instantly cut me off. "where's kenzie? find her because you're wasted".

he removed me from between them and gently pushed me into the crowd of people before us.

"wasted? i'm not" i spoke, even though i was too far away for jack to hear me.

i tried to do as he said and get myself through the large group of people, but bumped into a tall, beanie-wearing figure on the way.

"sorry" i apologised.

"you should watch where you're going" he said with a smile across his lips that lightened his words.

"sorry" i repeated, pulling down the bralet i was wearing.

i recognised him but due to the alcohol, i couldn't quite pinpoint where from. he removed his joint from his lips and released a cloud to the side of him.

"hey, i know you" the boy said, and it was now that i noticed his piercing blue eyes. "you're, uh, sanchez' new sister".

i folded my arms together, "half sister".

"same thing" he carelessly shrugged.

"says the people who aren't related to dirty dave".

he chuckled then held out his hand, "tommy".

"sofia" i introduced myself before realising who he was. "oh yeah, as in peravích".

"yeah, why? are you a cop or something?" he raised his brows, seeming quite serious.

"no" i corrected. "but know you're hotter up close".

a smirk formed on tommy's lips, "really?".

"i only ever see you from across the street with your siblings or with that mom of yours who scares me quite a bit".

"so i have a stalker now?" he smiles a little, handing the joint to a friend nearby.

"what? no, i'm not a stalker, i never said that. i'm just a very observant person" i rambled.

interrupting our conversation, a blonde girl came and exchanged a few whispers with tommy. i think it's his sister, but i'm not entirely sure.

i rudely rolled my eyes any ways before she noticed my presence and took a toke of the passing joint.

"hey, sofia right?" she asked.

"yes, the new sanchez kid" i said before she could.

the girl shrugged, "i was gonna say kenzie's friend".

"oh" i stood corrected. "yeah, that's me too".

"i'm nina, this asshole's sister" she sipped the alcoholic drink in her hand. "kenzie's a cool girl, have you seen her actually?".

i noticed tommy make some sort of face to tease nina, but she quickly nudged it out of him.

ignoring what just happened, i shrugged my shoulders, "in the kitchen maybe".

the siblings continued to talk to one another, causing me to lose interest in trying to figure out what they were saying.

i looked around the room and happened to catch jack and maya kissing against the wall with her hands running through his hair. i'm not even surprised to be honest.

i grimaced at the scene then turned back to tommy who was finally alone again. without a thought, i bought him down to my height and crashed my lips into his.

he kissed me back and bought me closer by my waist. when i pulled away, i started to feel a little light headed and also the alcohol in my stomach more than before.

"i-i've gotta go" i told him.

"hey, you're just gonna leave like that?" tommy called out, but i ignored him and pushed my way through everyone to get to somewhere more appropriate.

"sorry" i apologised to jack when i bumped into him and maya still locking lips.

jack held my arm back before i could move again, "you leaving? where's kenzie?".

"i think i'm gonna be sick" i told.

"ah fuck" jack let go of me in disgust. "seriously?".

i nodded and covered my mouth.

"no, not here" he reacted, then turned to maya. "gimme a sec?".

"what? where are you going?" she snapped, giving me a look that i would have called her out for if i wasn't in this state.

"i've got to—".

"she's just your sister's friend, who cares?" maya protested.

"yeah, my sister who will kill me if i don't care" jack replied, taking me by my shoulders and leading me through the house.

we finally reached outside and i rushed to a nearby tree as jack held my hair back.

"i'm good" i pushed him off me. "i said i'm good, it was a false alarm".

jack sighed and leant against the tree, "come on, let's get you home".

"nooo" i groaned, resting against him. "what about kenzie?".

i soon started to feel like i was going to vomit again, so i bent over by the tree as jack quickly held my hair back again.

i wonder if he really cares or if it's just so that kenzie won't give him shit about it in the morning.

"hey johnson, yeah i've got to go, man" jack spoke on the phone. "...no, not with maya. i have to take sofia home, she's gone...can you keep an eye on kenzie, walk her home too?.

jack continued, "yeah and you know that i'll kill you if you try anything on her...okay good, thanks man, bye".

"i'm home?" i questioned, seeing that we were now inside my own bedroom.

"yes, you should really reconsider keeping your front door unlocked in this neighbourhood" jack say down on the edge of my bed.

i pulled off my clothes and left myself in my underwear. i didn't care that jack was here, i'm way too tired and really want to sleep this alcohol off.

i grabbed a shirt from beneath my pillow but even with various attempts, it was taking me too long to figure out where the head hole is.

i groaned in annoyance, "hellooo? help me".

jack chuckled and assisted me with putting the shirt on, so i could finally get into my bed. ugh, my head is spinning.

"okay, i'm gonna go now" jack announced, standing up.

"what? no" i declined.

"huh?".

i patted the space closer to me, "come here".

he sat back down and i climbed onto his lap so that both my legs were straddling him. i just want to see what all the fuss is about - jack's hot and he wants me too, so it's better to do it when i'm wasted.

"stay" i locked my arms around his neck and whispered in ear. "please".

i bought my lips closer to his. they briefly brushed against one another but jack suddenly picked me up and put me back down on the bed.

"fuck" he stood up and adjusted his trousers. "as hot as that was, you're way too drunk, sof".

"it's sofia" i corrected whilst he covered me with my blanket. "...my name is sofia".

once my head touched the pillow, i could feel myself drifting off to the point where i couldn't even tell if  jack was still there or not.
