"Dude, I have literally no idea what to wear!" I gasped into my phone.

"Well," Jack said smoothly. "you'll want to impress her but not too much or too little. Get what I'm saying?"

"Nope, not a single thing." I stated, chuckling slightly at his frustrated groan.

"Oh, for the love of...grrr, just wear something that makes you look sharp and dashing, okay?" He said aggressively, making me laugh more.

All of a sudden, I saw Olivia trying to call me.

"Hey, speak of the devil." I said.

"Go have fun!" Jack exclaimed before hanging up.

"Hello?" I curiously said, hearing ragged breaths.

"H-Hey, Trent, I don't t-think I can do it. I'm sorry." Olivia stuttered, sniffling.

"Olivia-" I started to say before she hung up.

Well, that's just great.

I clicked on Jack's contact and called him.

"Shit, man, you okay? I know you really liked her, but you know there's other fish in the sea."
Jack said trying to comfort me.

"Yeah, just...can we hang out?" I asked sadly.

"Sure." He answered. "Be there soon."
