"Olivia!" Ashley snapped.

"Wh-What?" I said, zoning back in to reality.

"Where have you been today, girl? It's not like you to be so...quiet." Ashley stated, looking at me with concern.

"I promise you, Ashley, I'm alright." I lied, giving her a fake smile.

"Okay, only if you say so." She chuckled, looking around the lunchroom.
"Hey, Olivia?" She asked.

"Yeah?"

"You don't mind if I ask you why you broke up with Peter?" She said, playing with her rings on her fingers.

"No, it's fine." I casually said. "I like someone else now."

"That's what you always say." Ashley laughed. "When are you really going to have an "actual" relationship?"

I groaned as I could hear the air quotations.

"I don't know, never?"

"Okay, I get it!" She grinned before continuing to eat.
