Summary: This takes place in Defenders of the wing part 2 when the hunter is aiming the bilisa at Astrid.

ASTRID  

I was headed towards the snow capped volcano when I saw a bilisa arrow headed towards me. I tried to turn around but I was to late. The arrow hit me. 

HICCUP  

I yelled Astrid's name in terror as I watched her get hit by the bilisa arrow. I flew Toothless towards her and picked her up onto my lap. Astrid was bleeding furiously. "Just hang in there Astrid". "Hiccup" she weakly said before passing out. I landed Toothless on a nearby island and gently set Astrid down. I couldn't believe this, Astrid, the love of my life, of all people. I tore off a piece of my shirt and used it to slow the flow of blood. I didn't want to leave Astrid but I needed to get Fishlegs. So I hopped on Toothless to go get him.

After a 5 minute flight

*********************************

HICCUP 

"Fishlegs! Astrid got shot by the bilisa we need to help her"!. "Ok I have my medical bag, but Hiccup you need to keep fighting". I didn't want to stay, I wanted to be with Astrid but I knew he was right. I nodded and went to help Snotlout and Malla.

About a half hour later with Fishlegs and Astrid

FISHLEGS  

I was able to help Astrid but she was still unconscious. I had stitched up the wound on her waist and wrapped a cloth around her waist. Just then Hiccup, Heather, Snotlout, Ruff, and Tuff came into view. Hiccup and Heather ran up to us.

HEATHER  

"Hiccup just told me what happened how is she doing"?. "Better," Fishlegs said, "I was able to stitch up her wound but as you can see she is still unconscious and she lost quite a bit of blood". Hiccup now had one hand on the back of Astrid's head and the other on her back. He looked really worried. I put a hand on his shoulder and said "Hiccup she'll be ok  after all she's Astrid Hofferson". "Thanks Heather" he said. Come on let's get back to Dragons Edge. He nodded and picked up Astrid bridal style and carried her to Toothless.

HICCUP  

The Edge was coming into view and as soon as we got there I got off Toothless and carried Astrid to my hut. I laid her down on my bed and I sat next to her thinking. I was looking at her cut hoping that she was alright even though she was Fearless Astrid Hofferson I was still worried about her. I picked up her hand and just sat there with. It was like this for several days. Every day I would just with Astrid and talk to her. One day I was sitting with Astrid holding her hand when she started to stir. "Astrid". "Hi Hiccup" she said before smiling a me. I picked up, and hugged her tightly and she did the same. "Astrid I love you" that was all I said before kissing her passionately and she kissed back. "I love you to Hiccup" she said between kisses. I rested my forehead on hers. "Be mine"?. She nodded and I couldn't be happier. I wrapped my arms around her waist and tightened the kiss.
