Part -20

Nandu : it's not your mistake to tease him , don't say sorry . It's his mistake he didn't even hear what I'm saying , he just left . How could he doubt that I don't love him anymore ., It's okay what happened has happened come have lunch , it's already late ...she said with a small fake smile...

She made everyone sit on the dining table and started serving everyone even though everyone are protesting , she just glared them and all sat there not wanting to make her cry .... ......

At the same time Manik walked inside the house . He saw everyone sitting near the dinning hall , no one started to eat , Manik thought of going to his room .....

But nandu ran to him and held his hand , Manik just stood on his place but didn't turn back ......

Rest all are just looking at them , not knowing what to say , they thought manan will fight again and are scared ....

Nandu : I'm hungry , she just said that nothing more nothing less making everyone shocked bcoz they expected her to fight with him ......

Manik turned the other side and saw her holding his hand like a stubborn kid with her head bent down , he didn't knew what to say but , he didn't say anything but started walking towards the kitchen , nandu walked behind him like a shadow still holding his hand , he didn't push her away or didn't even hold her ....

He sat on his chair , nandu started serving him , she is about to sit and eat both the kids started crying . But nandu didn't say anything she just saw Manik and kids and sat there having her food everyone are surprised to see her eating when kids are crying even Manik is just looking at her in shock . She exactly had two bites and noise of crying became more , she washed her hand in plate and ran to them and held them in her arms and they became quiet ....

Dadi : you all have food , I will make sure nandu eats it ....she said and everyone had their lunch ....

Nandu just sat on the couch looking at her kids with tears in her eyes but didn't say anything to anyone ....

After a week .....

Manik came back from office late , he found nandu sitting on the dining table and waiting for him .

He sighed in disbelief bcoz he asked her to sleep , it's like he warned her last night but she didn't listen to him .......

Manik just closed his eyes remembering what happened in the past one week after they returned from farm house .....

Flash back ....

They reached late night and everyone moved to sleep , nandu shifted both the kids into the room beside Manik and nandu . Manik is just shocked after knowing it , he went to see kids but he found dadi sitting there with kids ....

Dadi : kya hua Manik kuch chahiye .....she asked finding him on the door looking at kids .....

Manik : bache yaha kyu hae , he asked her ....

Dadi : Nandini ki tabed karab hae , usne bachon ko yaha sulaya , main rahungi bachon ke saath tum jaoo sojaoo.....dadi said with a smile . But Manik didn't even knew nandu is not well bcoz she is completely silent only answers whatever is asked.....

Manik kissed both the babies forehead and moved to his room to see nandu on bed ready to sleep. He slept beside her starring at her but she moved and hugged him and slept .....

This routine is followed till yesterday night, kids sleep with either dadi, amms or sometimes with cabir, arya .....he didn't knew why she didn't bring kids to sleep in their room .....even mukti , navya , ruhi Abhi left to Pune , rest all resumed working , aliya is in her mother's house along with dhruv bcoz kamaya wanted to take her home for few days , no one objected even dhruv followed her .....

The next day after returning from farm house , nandu sat on the bed fully ready , after waking up Manik. She helped him in getting ready , she didn't leave the room to check on kids or to make breakfast , she just called the butler and Informed him what to do ....

She came down with Manik to see cabir and arya trying to handle crying kids , on seeing Manik ditu threw there hands in air ....

Manik immediately took her in his arms and she stopped crying , nandu took hitu in her arms and started serving breakfast .....

She took milk bottles from the butler and started making kids drink , Manik just took a bite of his breakfast to spit it away immediately ....

Nandu: kya hua ??? She asked being worried ...

Manik : it's salty , he said and nandu immediately gave hitu to arya and moved to kitchen ....

Manik is just watching her ....she just fixed sandwiches immediately for everyone but took a plate and came out and served Manik first and the butler brought the rest outside and maid served them to everyone .....

She even moved to the door to wave Manik a bye as he is going to office ....

She made both the kids bath and fed them food , she started cooking and packed food ....she took both the kids and gave them to dadi and left to manik's office with lunch ....

She reached the pent house of their office building and arranged the table for manik's lunch ....

She called Manik to come up for lunch , he is surprised seeing nandu there. He hugged her tight in happiness .

Manik : kids ?? He asked looking around ...

Nandu : at home with dadi , have lunch ....she said pulling a chair for him and served for both of them ....

Manik is just observing her who is eating in silence . After that she left home after kissing his cheeks , Manik smiled at her but he found her habit weird bcoz nandu is being clingy which is something new .....

That night he found her waiting at dinner like always , even today kids are with dadi ....

Like this the whole week passed , even today she is waiting for him and fell asleep on dining table ....

He placed his bag on couch and moved to kitchen and washed his hands. He turned around to moved to dinning but found nandu awake , she gave him a smile and arranged the food in plate . They are having dinner in complete silence. .....

Manik : biwi , he called her and she stopped eating and turned to face him ....

Nandu : kya hua ?? Kuch chahiye apko ?? she asked him looking at his plate and dishes on the table .....

Manik : tomorrow night there is an business party for the success of new deal ...will you come with me ??

He asked with loads of hope in his eyes , nandu just thought for a second and nodded in yes ....

Manik : love u biwi , I will send the driver to pick you up and we will go from office , he said and nandu nodded .....

After eating Manik left to room to get changed and nandu cleaned the table and left to check on kids , she checked the temperature of hitu and made her drink a syrup and kissed her forehead with tears in her eyes and slowly moved out of room bcoz she didn't want cabir to notice her crying , bcoz cabir is there in the room with kids tonight ....

Next day ,

As usual nandu did all the things related to Manik and bid him bye for office , After that whole day she sat with kids taking care of them .

Dadi is with nandu helping her with kids , cabir , arya left to their works ....

Evening ....

Nandu got ready as she got a call from Manik saying driver is coming to pick her up .....

Nandu checked up on kids and gave them to dadi , cabir , arya and left the house taking her mobile and wallet but all her thinking was of kids .....

She is just worried how they will be in her absence , finally she reached the Malhotra's office to see Manik standing there waiting for her near his car , she got down from her car still texting cabir and moved to Manik , he gave her a smile and hugged her , nandu smiled back .....

He opened the door of passenger side of the car for her , she got in and sat beside him ...

Manik saw her being so silent , so he thought of asking her but she is busy in her mobile texting continuously .....Manik didn't say anything but sat quiet not knowing what to ask .

Finally they stopped at the venue and Manik got down and opened the door for nandu , thats when nandu realised she is on mobile all the way to venue.....

Nandu gave her hand to Manik and moved out of the car , Manik gave his keys to the valet to park his car and held nandu by her waist and both of them walked inside .....

They are welcomed by the organizers of the party , Manik Introduced nandu to everyone , she just gave them small smiles which are obviously fake which is only known to Manik . He didn't leave her for a second from his side bcoz he knew she hates party.....

Nandu phone rang disturbing them , on seeing the caller ID she excused herself and took the call . She is more worried after the call but stood beside manik .....

They all moved to have dinner , it's been one hour they came to party but nandu is not here in this world , she is worried of something and Manik could clearly see that , he is about to ask her but he saw his mobile ringing showing dadi ....

Manik answered the call ..

Manik : hello dadi , he said politely .....

Dadi : Manik beta come home soon , nanhi ki tabed bahut karab hae and arya called the doctor ....she said and manik is numb in his place .....

Manik moved to the place where nandu is just standing with a fake smile , he told the person who hosted the party that there is an emergency , so he excused nandu and started towards the parking lot .....

Nandu didn't say a word , didn't even ask him why they are leaving , she just sat numb on her place.

After sometime she saw that car came to a halt at home , she breathed in relief with tears shinning in her eyes and got down the car and ran towards the house leaving Manik . He gave the keys to watchman to park his car and ran behind her ....

They heard kids crying loudly , nandu just ran to the kids room and hugged hitu, ditu tight , they stooped crying but nandu has tears .....

Doctor spoke to arya and left the house , Manik is just watching nandu who is just looking at both the kids .....

Dadi : why did u guys go to party Manik when kids are not well ??

Manik has no answer to it bcoz he didn't even knew kids are not well .....

Nandu : he didn't knew it dadi , she said and put her head down not even looking at anyone ....

Dadi understood something is wrong with Manik and nandu , so leaving them along with kids , dadi , arya , cabir , left the room.....

Manik just moved to nandu and kids and took both his kids in his arms and left to his room and nandu followed him with all the necessary things of children ....

She saw Manik playing with ditu who is laughing looking at manik and hitu is on his lap holding his tie in a tight grip ......

Nandu moved to washroom after placing everything near the bed , changed her dress and came out to see Manik already changed his dress and sat on the couch , and both the kids are fast asleep in the bed with pillows surrounding them .....

She tried to go to sleep and moved to the bed but manik held her wrist in tight grip not letting her go. ...

Hey guys ,

Thank u guys for being my Biggest support , I was having mixed feelings that day bcoz my writting is not accepted by my family and they asked me to quit so I gave that message of quitting and taking down my stories , i can't leave everything all of a sudden so I asked my family some time ...thats the time I told u guys " a week " to take down everything but i found my hope in the form of "The last cloud of hope" this came home and my family finally believed I can write ...bcoz it's my first published anthology ....
