Night 1

After Master Shifu got all thirteen girls settled, he led them back to the kitchen where Po was busy finishing up the touches of his soup. The rest of the masters were busy placing more chairs around the table which now had an addition added onto it in order to make room for the new arrivals. Ella, who was wrestling with Ming for a spot in the front, quickly called out, "I call the seat next to Po!"

"No, that's where I'm sitting!" Ming snapped at her.

"Do you have a beautiful fur coat?!"

"Is your father the head of the imperial law system?!"

"Um, you two do realize that I can sit in between you, right?!" Po quickly called over, not in the mood to listen to anymore fighting.

"Yeah, Po generally sits in the middle of the table," Monkey added quickly. "You two can sit on either side."

"I don't like to share!" Ella complained, folding her arms with a cross look on her face.

Ming rolled her eyes and aggressively looked over at one side of the wall.

"Girls, can we keep the fighting at bay, please?" Master Shifu asked, putting a hand to his head.

"That depends on Little Miss No-Fur over here," Ella grumbled.

Ming let out a 'hmph!' and made a much more dramatic head turn towards the wall. Po added the last few ingredients to the soup pot and then walked over to the cabinet to grab 20 bowls. The girls were then directed to sit down at the table, some of them clumping together on one side and a few of them attempting to avoid each other. (Though this was mostly Ella, Ming, and the shy Kay). Once the girls sat down, the Five and Shifu took their place at the table and Po began to serve them their soup.

"Thank you, Po," Tai-Lin said, smiling and taking her bowl. "This smells delicious."

"I know!" Lam exclaimed, eagerly gulping down her food. "And I thought my food was delicious!"

"Actually, if you want the best food," Po corrected. "I should take you guys down to see my dad. His soup is out of this world!"

"Is your dad as strong and handsome as you?" Ella asked, batting her eyelashes.

Ming scowled.

"Well, he can carry a huge pot of soup without breaking a sweat," Po said. "And he can balance twelve bowls at a time without spilling, so...I'd say he's pretty strong."

"How far can he fly?" Song asked before taking another bite of soup.

"Not sure," Po admitted. "He prefers walking to flying."

Ella and a few of the other girls gave Po a quizzical look, to which he added, "My dad's a goose."

"Oh, you're adopted?" Master Leopard asked in surprise. She then chuckled. "Doesn't that seem to be a trend around here."

Shifu frowned as he watched Tigress slowly glance up from her bowl of soup. He quickly piped up, "Actually, Master Leopard, there are very few masters who don't know the location of their parents. Or their fate. It just so happens that you know several people who-"

Master Leopard laughed. "Shifu, there's really no need to go and point out every logical fact," she chided. "I was simply stating an observation. There's nothing wrong with being adopted. In fact, I think it's actually a good way to tell how mature and responsible someone is."

"Thanks," Po said with a smile. "I'll be sure to pass that on to dad."

Destiny, who was on the other end of the table by Monkey, began to rock back and forth in her chair, staring at her soup before going to take a bite.

"Destiny, if you feel light-headed, please step out into the hallway please," Shifu asked her. "And only because I don't want you to pass out and get burning hot soup on your face."

"I can eat her soup if she doesn't want it," Jai-Rong said, glancing over at the soup bowl. "More soup sounds pretty good right about now."

"There's plenty more in the pot," Po assured her. "Jai-Rong, right?"

"That's correct."

Destiny simply stared at her bowl of soup for another moment before silently returning to finish her soup.

"So, Dragon Warrior," Ordai piped up from next to Madame Zing. "Do you have any plans for us?"

"Tigress is the Dragon Warrior now," Po reminded her.

"Well, I still think of you like that. So what do you plan on doing tomorrow, Dragon Warrior?"

"Ordai," Shifu explained, inwardly taking a breath in order to compose himself. "You cannot address Po in such a way. He has passed on the responsibility and the title to Tigress. So if you could kindly respect that-"

"I respect the fact that he's a great warrior and deserves the title he earned, given up or not," Ordai interrupted. "Now, I'd like to know what the Dragon Warrior plans on doing tomorrow, so if you don't mind...."

"I mind," Tigress challenged, casting her a warning glance.

The chatting at the table dropped off a bit as Ordai and Tigress simply stared at the other, Ordai, scootching her chair back out of slight fear.

"Respect is a highly treasured virtue in this temple," Tigress told her sternly. "If you can't show the proper respect, I can show you the door."

"Po doesn't live here," the panther challenged.

"Are you sleeping here?"

"Yes-"

"Then you're going to show respect. End of discussion."

The Dragon Warrior went back to eating, ignoring the tense silence that had now settled over the room.

"Thank you, Tigress," Shifu finally said, returning to his own soup.

Po coughed lightly, hoping to break the tension. "To answer the question though, Ordai, I thought we could tour the village a little bit. You know, to get you guys used to the new environment."

"As long as I get to hold your hand," Ella gushed.

"He's holding my hand!" Ming snapped angrily.

Po winced. "Can't we travel in a group?" he asked.

"No!" the girls yelled.

Master Shifu cleared his throat. "Actually, neither of you will get that privilege," he explained. "You're both getting sent home after dinner."

"WHAT?!" the girls exclaimed looking over at the grandmaster.

"What are you talking about?!" Ming demanded.

"Both of you have displayed inappropriate behavior, not only towards each other, but towards the other girls. You're rude, inconsiderate, arrogant, boastful, and very disheartening, and you will not be kept in this Jade Palace for any longer than necessary. You're to be escorted back home as soon as we've all had dessert."

"Isn't that Po's call?" Ella asked, folding her arms and giving Shifu a look.

"It was Po's call," Shifu told her. "Indirectly, but he still called it."

Po looked over at his friends with a slight look of annoyance, but everyone continued to eat their food, not giving away who told the grandmaster on him.

"You don't want me?!" Ella screetched. "How dare you!!!!! You and I are meant to be, Po!"

"No offense, Ella, but I'm not sure if I can live with someone who's going to insult everyone who she thinks she's better than."

"No one is better than me!"

"I'm better than you!" Ming screamed. "And if I'm not going to get him, you wont either!!!!"

She then proceeded to lunge out of the chair at Ella, though thankfully Po caught her before anyone began to spill blood.

"Can we have them leave now?" Tai-Lin asked, folding her arms in annoyance.

"Lets just have Po handle it," Xiao-Niao said, patting her shoulder to get the clouded leopard to calm down.

"Put me down!" Ming demanded.

Po gently set her down on the floor, anxiously waiting to see if she'd attack again.

"I'm not putting up with this!" Ming huffed. "I'm not going to stand here another minute! I'm leaving right now!"

"No, I'm leaving right now!" Ella argued, hopping out of her chair before Ming could get over to the door. "You can all kiss my furry tail!"

"You can kiss my tail!" Ming protested, wrestling to leave the kitchen before her.

Eventually the two managed to leave the kitchen, still arguing with each other and elbowing each other to leave the premises first. Some slight creaking could be heard before silence finally fell over the room.

"Thank goodness for that!" Master Leopard said. "I was about to kick those two right out of  the kitchen myself!"

"I apologize for having them prematurely removed, Po," Shifu said, seeing Po's look of confusion. "Crane informed me about your decision earlier since he thought I would like to brace myself for their protesting. Though I admit I actually expected them to act worse."

"Same," Lam piped up.

"However, they were really getting on my last nerves and I figured it would be best to get that part over with now. Besides, I don't feel like having them sleep in the Jade Palace."

"Why did you allow them to participate then?" Po asked.

"I told you before, I didn't want to be picky," Shifu said.

The masters and the remaining eleven girls continued to eat their dinner and eventually the conversation began to pick back up. As everyone finished and began to clean up from dinner, Zeng walked into the kitchen, slightly shaken, and said, "Um...Ming and Ella are about to leave. And one of them tried to pull out my feathers, so...."

"I'll see them out," Po offered, getting up from the table. He then proceeded to walk out of the kitchen and over to the front door where the girls were beginning to leave.

"We could have been an item had you given me the chance!" Ella snapped, tossing a suitcase at Po.

Po caught it before handing it back to her, saying, "Trust me, it wouldn't have worked out."

Ella let out a 'hmph!' before taking her suitcases and following an attendant out of the Jade Palace gates.

"You'll be sorry!" Ming snapped, following suit.

When the gates were shut, Po let out a sigh and walked back to the kitchen in order to serve dessert and calm down from the latest activity.
