"Hey Y/N" Ocean says to me. She was visiting my house for the day

I walk over to where she is

"Who is this boy?" She asks and points to a picture of me and Jimmy at the park.

"That's my old neighbor Jimmy. I used to like him" I say with a small smile.

"Why not now?"

"Because I realized he can't like someone who isn't always by his side." I smiled sadly

Y/N'S POV

"Wow! Yesterday was so amazing Ocean like you would not believe!" I said. I was still hung up on the thought of how well the date went. "We cuddled and watched movies and he had his arm around me and EEEEEE!" I couldn't help but squeal.

"Okay okay calm down my child" Ocean says with a laugh. "So. Did you kiss?" She asked me with eyes that showed great interest.

"I wish! Our faces were so close at one point if one of us were to just lean in a bit further we couldn't kissed" I said. Just thinking about it made my blush. "His face after that moment was so cute! He was blushing and he was nervous. In a cute way!"

"Sounds amazing. Did you guys plan a follow up date?" Ocean asked me. "Maybe with that you guys will kiss! That would be so adorable!"

"I'm allowed to keep a few details to myself aren't I?" I explain. "So enough about me, how was your 'ice cream hangout'?"

"Oh my gosh don't get me started. Ethan flirted with me but it was so bad!" Ocean says. "But it was still so cute. And I invited him to the dorm, we watched some videos. . . and we. . ."

"Go on" I say leaning in her direction slightly so I can hear more and show my interest in what she's saying.

"We talked about me making a YouTube channel" Ocean says. "I bet you thought we kissed but no, we talked about YouTube"

"Oh my gosh girl don't mess with me like that! But in all honest you should" I say as I lightly punch her shoulder with a laugh.

"I mean sure," Ocean says she shrugged with a smile

I hug Ocean. "It's gonna be great!"

TIME SKIP

Ocean was out getting groceries for the dorm, so I decided to FaceTime Jimmy. I pressed on his name in my contacts and let my phone ring. While I waited for him to pick up I brushed my hair with a brush to look a little bit presentable.

"Hello?" Jimmy says as I brushed my hair.

I rushed over to my phone and held it in my hands. "Hi Jimmy!" I say with a smile. "How has your day been?"

"Pretty good. It's been a bit stressful because me and the boys shot a video but I think I want to scrap it" Jimmy says and did that little thing where he rub his forehead which I thought it was pretty cute.

"Well, if I filmed it and I was thinking of scrapping it, I'd leave it for a day and then the next day go and watch it to see if it grew on me" I say. "What was the video idea?"

"I'd rather not say because the whole idea was dumb and thinking about it now, going through the whole video seemed like a bad idea"

"Respectable. Well, I hope you find some parts of it good and don't stress too much. It's your channel. Take breaks as you see fit"

"Thanks Y/N. Oh by the way you left your jacket at my place yesterday. I didn't notice until this morning"

"Oh shoot I did? Do you mind dropping it off at my dorm room?" I asked. That was mostly because I didn't want to put on some presentable clothes since I'm lazy

"Sure. I was gonna ask to meet up since I wanted to ask you something" Jimmy explains. "I'll be there in around fifteen minutes. See you soon"

And with that he ends the call. I quickly set down my phone and sprint over to my desk and start cleaning up there. Then I make my bed and just fix up my part of the room overall.

"I'm back!" I hear from the main room. That was Ocean.

I go to the main room to see Ocean struggling with groceries. I go over to her and help her place all the bags on the table.

"Okay so Jimmy is coming over so please please please leave! I'm sorry but you can be kinda. . . embarrassing . ." I tell Ocean as kindly as I can.

Ocean sighed and says, "Okay fine. I'll leave right now as long as you put away the groceries. I'll leave you two alone" she walks to her room and in a few seconds she leaves with her purse.

Before she gets out the door I hug her tight and say, "Thank you so much. I'll make it up to you I swear"

"Nothing I won't do for my best friend" Ocean says and hugs back.

We separate from the hug and Ocean sets off. Where to? I don't know.

Once she's gone I start to put the groceries away. The minutes pass by and I finished putting away the groceries. I wonder when Jimmy will get here. Once I think of him, speak of the devil, there's a knock on the door. I go to open it and it is Jimmy.

"Hey Y/N" Jimmy says and immediately gives me a hug.

I blush and smile softly, "Hi Jimmy" I say.

Jimmy pulls from the hug and placed my jacket on me. "Okay. Let's go for a drive" he says with a smile.

"Wait what. Right now?" I ask. Though I'd love to, it came off really sudden.

"Yes right now" Jimmy says as he grabs my hand. "I really want to ask you something"

"Okay okay. But I have a morning class so don't make this take up a lot of time" I say. I fix the jacket Jimmy out on me and grab my phone and dorm room key.

Jimmy waited patiently for me to lock my dorm room before he takes my hand again and leads me to the elevator

We both get in and he has his arm around my waist, he held me close in a sort of protective way. The ride down to the ground floor was quiet. It was a bit uncomfortable.

Once we get out, Jimmy takes me to his car and tells me to get it. I get in and I don't question anything.

Jimmy took me to an empty park with a pond and gazebo. All the pathways were lined with fairy lights. He led me all the way to the gazebo. It overlooked the pond with sleeping ducks and turtles.

The gazebo was lined with fairy lights too. The lighting along with the sunset gave everything a certain glow.

Jimmy took both of my hands and face me. "Y/N, you know our date felt so special. And throughout the date I couldn't stop thinking how beautiful you looked and how lucky I am to have you in my life. . . and when I see an opportunity, I take it. So. . . I have two questions for you. Will you be my girlfriend? And work with me and the crew?"

I felt my face heating up at the questions. He wanted me to be his girlfriend and to work with him. "Jimmy. . . of course!" I say.

He smiled wide and hugged me tight. While hugging, he picked me up and spun me around before setting me down. "I'm so happy right now. . ."

I smiled softly and say, "I love you Jimmy. . . so much. ."

"I love you more" Jimmy says and he kissed my cheek.

"Before we go let's get a picture with the sunset" I say. I take out my phone and we take a picture.

In the photo Jimmy had my arm around me and he kissed my cheek. "You want the picture so we can both post it?" I ask

"Yes. I want to make sure the world knows that I'm taken and you're taken. I don't want anyone hitting on you since you're my girl" Jimmy says.

"Okay. I sent it. Let's go." I say and hold Jimmy's hand.

Jimmy's hand squeezed mine lightly. "Of course"
