"Hey Ocean are you busy on Saturday? I want to invite you to my birthday party!" Y/N says

"No sorry. I have piano lessons" Ocean says

"What about next week? Want to go to the mall?" Y/N asks

"No sorry. I have fencing lessons" Ocean says

"You never have time for anything fun! Why is that?"

"I cannot answer that"

Ethan's POV

It is December 26th and my last day in LA and I decided to not spend it with my family but to spend it with Ocean.

The day before I asked Ocean if she was doing anything and I passed it off as me wanting to FaceTime her.

Y/n gave me Ocean's address so I got in an Uber and set off. Y/n also gave me a list of things to do during the date since I didn't know the area

I told the the Uber driver to stop a few houses down so I could walk the rest of the way. I paid the driver and got out.

I could see Ocean in the front of her house. She was sitting on the lawn reading. I start walking and so far she hasn't looked up from her book

Once I was in front of her house I say, "Excuse me miss, do you think you can help me? I need to ask a girl out and she's sitting right in front of me"

Ocean didn't look up when she says, "Sorry sir I'm not interested-" she looked up at me and gasped. "Ethan!?" She got up and gave me a hug.

I hugged her back with a smile. "Hey Ocean. Wanna go on a date?"

"Wait what" She pulled away from the hug and stepped away from me. "D-date!?"

"Yeah" I say. I grab her hand and say, "I realized that I really like you and I want to have a fun day with you. So let's go. Right now"

"Okay! But what are we gonna do? Last time I checked you barely know the area" Ocean says

"Y/n gave me a list of things to do and we can do whatever you want" I say. "Let's get in an Uber and let's go!" I start heading off but Ocean tugged on my sleeve

"No. Uber is expensive. We'll take my car" Ocean says and he starts pulling me in the direction if her house

Ocean takes my hand and leads me to the front door, she opens the door, grabs her keys amd says, "Mom! I'm heading out!"

"Okay sweetie! Be back by ten! I'll save you a cupcake" A women says

"I will!" Ocean says before she closes and locks the door. We start to head to her car

"Ready?" Ocean asks

"Yup"

TIME SKIP

3rd Person POV

"Y/N gave me an ice cream place to go to because we both love ice cream" Ethan says

"Wait let me guess, Little Damage?" Ocean says

"How did you know?"

"I've been telling Y/N how much I want to go there but never had the time. I'm like, really excited" Ocean looked at Ethan and smiled for a bit before looking back at the road

Ocean keeps driving and finds a parking place. She pays the parking fee and says, "Okay we have two hours before we have to move or go back and pay again"

"Two hours?" Ethan questions. That seemed like a lot

"Well there's a lot of things here that I really want to try. Also there's a lot of places that are in walking distance"

"Fair enough let's go" Ethan says. He held Ocean's hand. "Lead the way"

Ocean and Ethan start walking. "So, your mom bakes?"

"Oh yup. I just realized we never really discussed my home life. My mom is a baker and my dad is a business man."

"That seems like a weird couple don't you think? Someone high end person and a baker" Ethan says

"Is that supposed to mean something!?" Ocean says, starting to get a bit offended

"No! I just mean, in my head it sounds a bit weird" Ethan says, trying to defend what he said

"Well, my grandma and grandpa on my mom's side were very popular and wealthy. My grandpa was the son of a fashion designer and a model. My grandma was a fashion designer. They had some ties with my grandparents on my dad's side. The kids of those people, my parents, met. They fell in love and when they were both old enough they got married and had me. That's the short version of the story" Ocean explained

"That seems like a lot" Ethan says

"Yeah, it is. Being the daughter of a business man isn't easy. The want someone who can literally do anything. Like I do fencing, archery, art, acting, piano, and like a lot more" Ocean says

"Wow. You seem like you never had time for anything"

"I really didn't. Oh look, we're here" Ocean says

"Let's go inside"

Ocean and Ethan head inside. They get in line and they soon have their ice cream. "Wow, this ice cream looks cool" Ocean says to Ethan. She had a big child like smile on her face

"Yeah it does, I love ice cream so I hope it's really good" Ethan says

"Hold on let's take a picture I want to post it to my Instagram" Ocean took out her phone as they walked out of the ice cream place

Ocean and Ethan put their ice creams close together and Ocean took a picture. "This looks great, I'm gonna post it right now" Ocean says

Ocean went onto Instagram and posted the picture. "Go like my post" she says. She put her phone away

"I'll like it later. Let's enjoy out date" Ethan says

Ocean looked at Ethan for a moment, her face heated up with a blush before smiling. "Okay Ethan, where to next?"

"Well I was thinking of going shopping and then maybe we can get some dinner?" Ethan says

"Shopping? Well I know a place and they have some really nice clothes-" Ocean starts. "Wait. Can I choose an outfit for you!?" She looked really excited

"Sure, anything for you" Ethan says. "Lead the way"

They headed off

TIME SKIP

Ocean was asleep in the passenger seat as Ethan drove Ocean back to her house

Ethan got to a stop light right as it turned red and he sighed. He looked at Ocean and smiled softly. "I love you Ocean. One day I'll man up and ask you to be my girlfriend. I promise" He grabbed her hand gently to not wake her and kissed it. He set it down and watched  the stop light turn green

He drove Ocean back to her house

TIME SKIP

Ocean woke up right as Ethan parked the car. "Are we here?" She asks

"Yup, I'm gonna call an Uber to take me back to my hotel" Ethan says

"Okay, let's go inside and we can wait there until your Uber comes" Ocean says

The both get out and head into the house. "Ocean am I going to meet your parents?" Ethan asks

"Yeah, but they're okay. My dad isn't home right now, but my mom and brother is. My mom is very, ummm, embarrassing. . " Ocean says as she opened the door

The two walk into the house, closing the door behind them. They both take off their shoes and start walking to the living room

On the couch was 4 year old boy and a women watching TV. They look at Ethan and Ocean. The boy shoots up off the couch and runs to Ocean. "Big sister! Big sister!" The boy says

"Hi Ryuuichi" Ocean says. She goes down to his height and they hug. "How are you doing?"

"Me and mommy are watching TV!" Ryuuichi says

"Just trying to pass time until he falls asleep" The women says. She went up to the others and looked at Ethan. "You must be Ethan. I'm Ocean's mom Emma"

"Hello miss, I hope I'm not causing a disturbance. I'm just waiting here until my Uber arrives. How did you know my name?" Ethan asks

"Ocean talks a lot about you, good things of course. I take it you two had a fun day today?" Emma says

"We did mom" Ocean says as she picks up Ryuuichi. "I'm going to tuck Ryuu into bed" and with that Ocean left the room

"So, you must really like her. She really likes you too" Emma says to Ethan once Ocean is away

"I really do, I just need to find a time to ask her out. Wait, how do you know she likes me"

"She talks about you a lot. Sometimes I wonder if she ever leaves your mind. Don't worry I approve of you two. I just think you need to worry about her dad. He's really strict when it comes to boys and very protective over her" Emma explains

"Wow. He sounds scary" Ethan says

"He's really a big softy. You just need to show that you truly love Ocean. After that he might still give you death glares but it's all in good fun"

Ethan's phone beeps and he looks at it. "Looks like my Uber is almost here. Thank you for the warning slash talk? You're a really nice lady Ms. Kaneko"

Ocean comes back into the room. "You're leaving now?" She says while she walks up to him

"Yeah I'll see you when you come back to North Carolina" Ethan says. He hugged her and kissed her forehead

"See you then" Ocean says with a smile. "I'll be sure to get you something from Paris. I love you!"

"I love you too" Ethan says. He pulls from the hug and gathers his stuff. He exits the house

"So, when are you two gonna get married?" Emma asks

"M- mom!" Ocean says, her cheeks turning pink

They then talked for the rest of the night
