Dadi: What is this Manav? How can you slap your own daughter for an outsider?

Manav: Maa didn't you hear what she said ... and you are speaking as if it is my mistake?

Dadi: I heard Manav and I know she shouldn't have told about any girl like that ... especially about Khushi Bitiya without knowing her ... that too when she is your friend's daughter ... but at the end of the day, Anju is your daughter and you are doing the same mistake Arnav had done by supporting a guest over your own

Manav: Being my daughter doesn't give her the license to badmouth anyone ... and don't think I will be silent bearing your accusations against innocent people like old times. Moreover, who told she is just a guest here? ... and Arnav didn't do anything wrong they too are his family ... for Arnav Kabir too is his Papa ... so obviously to Kiya, I am her Dad ... so don't you dare to say ill about her ... then you will have to face me along with Arnav

Anjali: Papa just by saying it will not make her your daughter ... these days I hadn't said anything because I wanted to talk to you directly about Arnav's behavior ... but here you are supporting him ... and this is the heights what she did today

Dadi: Yes Manav these days I hadn't said anything because I know Arnav have the attraction to foreign culture from childhood in everything he does and he isn't aware of the Indian traditions and culture. (Pointing at Khushi) ... from what I know about them it is clear that they too are like that ... so I neglected the affection they show before us considering it as their friendship but what had happened today is unforgivable and you know how much the cultures and tradition are important in this family. Then how can you support her after she had done a work which was only meant for family ... yes, Lavanya and Anju were busy but she could have called Payal Bitiya or Sheetal Bitiya which she didn't so it was obviously her mistake

Manav: Maa ... I appreciate your observation skills because you are right ... sometimes Arnav behaves as if he is not an Indian (With a dry chuckle) ... and that is because he had spent most of his life in abroad ... and you very well know the situations and reasons for it too. So it will be better if you don't comment on his behavior or culture and yeah if it was only meant for family members only, how Sheetal became one?

Chachu: What are you saying Manav? It is okay ... I admit we weren't that much attached to Arnav like we are to Anju ... but that doesn't mean we don't care about him and ... how can you ask a question like that? ... Sheetal is our Damad Ji's sister ... so obviously she is a member of Raizada family

Manav: Really Bhai? As far as I know according to Indian culture after marriage Anjali herself is a Jha ... so how come, her husband or his sister will be a member of Raizada family?

Dadi: Manav! ... how can you say that? ... Sheetal is a member of our family

Manav: No ... never Maa ... she is a relative of Raizadas but never a Raizada

Chachi: That is the point Devar Ji they are at least the relatives and about Arnav ... he is a man but like Anju said ... didn't she have any shame left in her to act like that with her friend when she is engaged and ... that too in front of his soon to be  fiancée

Khushi gasped at that and Manav left Khushi with Lavanya and stepped towards them with the rage that was almost equal to what they saw in Arnav.

Manav: Bhabhi ... didn't you hear what I said ... she is my daughter and I won't tolerate these nasty words against her and ... who told you this rubbish ... how did you thought it will happen?

Manav told hearing Sheetal is his soon to be DIL because when first his family talked about it Arnav and Khushi weren't married and Sheetal was too young so he told not to think like that hoping them to understand. Later, on many occasions, he had seen his family praising Sheetal in front of Arnav and him but never knew that they hadn't stopped this stupid thought at all and now hearing it he knows how much it will impact Khushi. But they all confused thinking what was he referring to.

Khushi: (In a low voice) Dad, please ... leave it

And that angered Manav

Manav: Leave it? You are saying me that ... they are saying this in front of you and you are expecting me to be calm?

Khushi was very weak to say anything further as even though she knew what she heard is not going to happen, her unconscious mind was afraid. But even when she had started to breathe heavily due to constant crying she smiled weakly at the concern and care he carried.

Anjali: Oh please ... don't start a new drama Khushi Ji ... and now you are happy, right? ... by turning my own father towards me ... splitting up a happy family?

Manav thought he should repeat what he did hearing her and would have done that too but before he could slap her he heard Lavanya's frantic voice calling out for Khushi.

Khushi who had decided to stop Manav from fighting with the family stepped forward only to be stopped rooted in her place hearing Anjali's words, which hurt her as she couldn't even think of doing something like that ever. The constant crying, the stress she going through, the painful words, and hyperventilating and the result was again Arnav's worst nightmare ... her panic attacks. She swayed on her feet losing consciousness and Lavanya who was now standing a little away from her understanding her situation called out for her and rushed in her direction. Khushi was sure that she is going to fall but before that, as always two strong hands held her from her waist and held her close to his heart.

Arnav was happily chatting along with Nani, Rudy, and Kiran when he reached RM but as soon as he stepped into the house he heard the commotion there. He saw his angry father, helpless Lavanya, and Nikhil but his breath sucked out of his lungs as he saw Khushi who was looking like a living corpse. Then he saw her swaying and rushed towards her holding her in the nick of time ... and called out frantically as he saw she was losing her consciousness.

Arnav: Kiya ... Kiya ... open your eyes, baby ... Kiya ...

Seeing her state everyone gathered around her and expect DR started calling out for her knowing her situation. Arnav bent on his knees taking her in his lap and Kiran too crouched before them. Kiran was in tears seeing her sister again like that. Lavanya and Nikhil sat near them and started to rub her hands and legs.

Kiran: Kiya ... sis ... wake up ... pl...ease ... pl...ease

Arnav: Baby ... baby, please open your eyes ... don't do this yaar ... open your eyes ... see Kiddu is crying

But actually he himself was in tears seeing her again like that and that astonished DR. Manav told knowing about her health condition

Manav: Arnav ... put her on the sofa ... lay her straight ... and you all please give her some air and Lavi ... please bring her medicines soon

Arnav nodded his head, stood up taking her in his arms and placed on the nearby sofa. Then he sat on his toes before her and cupped her cheeks called out again

Arnav: Khushi ... baby ... baby ... wake up

Manav took the water bottle placed near and sprinkled the water on her face once but there was no response from her.

Arnav: Dad ... she

Manav being a doctor very well know her condition and the problems she faces to breathe during these attacks. So he tried CPR by pressing her chest but she was as cold as ice so the only choice left was to supply artificial ventilation but as it will take time to go to the hospital in this condition, the best option was mouth to mouth resuscitation. And thus he instructed Arnav who had done that in the past

Manav: Arnav ... try MM ... she is already very cold

Arnav nodding bent down and tried twice. And she started to cough to the relief of all except Anjali who was fuming witnessing the scene. Khushi slowly opened her eyes and seeing Arnav and his condition cupped his cheeks whispering

Khushi: Ar ... Arnav

Arnav hugged her tightly and kissed her head breathing in relief.

Arnav: Baby ... don't scare me like this. What happened to you yaar? You were ok until I went ... what happened suddenly?

Manav: What else do you expect Arnav? When you know they are blaming her in front of you ... what do you expect to happen behind your back? And where the hell was you? Is this how you promised me to take care of her?

Arnav: Dad ... I

Manav: No Arnav ... I don't need your stupid explanations now

Nani pressed his shoulders and spoke so that Manav will not hurt Arnav with his words.

Nani: Manav ... Arnie ... you guys can argue later ... first, look after her ... give her the medicine

Lavanya reached there gave the medicines and Arnav helped Khushi with that. After finishing with that Arnav again picked her up and spoke generally

Arnav: I am taking her upstairs

Everyone was really worried about her condition so didn't say anything but Anjali cared less and came in front of them.

Anjali: Now what is this new drama ... and Arnav do you even realize what you had done early? That too in front of your would-be wife

Arnav: Now who the hell is that and what did I do ... she was struggling to breathe dammit and do you expect me to be calm?

Anjali: Sheetal of course ... but how could you do that to Khushi ... I mean we could have admitted her to the hospital. (Sighing) anyway, now put her down ... enough of your doings. Any of the ladies will help her to walk ... you don't have to be that much concerned about her ... cant you realize you are hurting Sheetal with your actions?

Arnav decided it is time, he can't tolerate any more rubbish that too when Khushi was in that condition but hearing a laugh everyone looked back to see Rudy laughing like mad

Rudy: Wow ... joke of the day ... Arnie ... you didn't tell me you are going for a second marriage

The Devil Raizadas were thunderstruck hearing him but Anjali was not ready to back off and shouted

Anjali: What the hell are you saying? ... second marriage?

Rudy: (Shrugging) I guess that is what you call the marriage of an already married man

Anjali: And how do you know that he is married? (Sarcastically) ... and yeah please introduce his non-existing wife to me

Rudy: Of course I will ... because I had witnessed it and about his wife ... I will be privileged to introduce her please meet the pretty lady in his arms ... Khush

Anjali: Now this is the joke of the day you stupid ... do you think I will believe this that he had done this? When I want him to marry Sheetal? He just said that to rile me up ... I know he like Sheetal ... he is just acting and you believed him? And by the way who asked you to speak in my family matter? Who are you?

Arnav: Don't you dare to question him ...he is my brother and ... (Looking at Manav who blinked back) whatever he said is right Anjali

Everybody gasped hearing that but Anjali Manohar Jha was not ready to come back from her illusion

Anjali: Arnav ... you don't have to pretend anymore ... I know you love Sheetal ... now drop all these and tell Papa the truth that you want to marry Sheetal

Arnav: What the! Who told you this? I ... I like Ms. Jha? Do you think I have gone mad or what? Listen ...  all of you ... listen to this carefully for once and all ... I had loved, love and will love only one woman who is my life ... my one, and only wife ... Dr. Khushi Singh Raizada

Anjali: What the hell Arnav?

Arnav: And yeah if you want to argue ... you can do that later. Right now my wife needs me the most and she comes before anything and anyone for me ... so please excuse us

Saying this he marched towards his room carrying her caring less about the shocked faces of his family and Khushi was looking at him only. Lavanya and Kiran too followed him before anyone can say anything.

Anjali: Papa ... did you hear what he said and ... why didn't you tell him anything? How can he marry Khushi Ji when we all want him to marry Sheetal? That too without informing anyone? He ... he was kidding, right?

Manav: (Frustratingly) do you think anybody will joke on something like that?

Dadi: Manav! What the hell are you saying? Arnav got married without informing anybody ... on his wish ... without his family ... elders blessings and even when you get to know about all these ... you are supporting him? For how long you will support his mistakes?

Manav: Maa ... don't call their marriage as a mistake because it wasn't. And who told he married according to his wish? Yes, it was his wish too ... but more than that he married Kiya as per his parents' wish. This was what Kabir and Gayu wanted ... even me and Arpi too ... and he married in mine, his Mama-Mami's, and Nani's blessings. His friends, brothers, and sister too was there to support them

Chachi: Hello hi bye, bye. So Lavanya knew all these and didn't inform us ... okay, I got it this was all the plan of Oberois. Doing the marriage of our son without our own knowledge?

Dadi: Manorama ... shut up. Manav ... you knew everything before and didn't find it important to tell us? Don't you think, being his Dadi I should be present at his wedding? Did you think I won't be happy for him? At least I didn't expect this from you Manav

Manav: Really Maa ... from when did you become this super cool Dadi? As far as I know ... you never cared about anyone other than Anjali ... when did you start to care for him this much?

Nani: That's enough Manav ... stop it now ... you are talking to your mother ... don't forget that

Manav: Don't stop me today Mamma. I had tolerated their behavior towards Arnav until now. He too is my child and seeing the ignorance he had faced ... that too just after his Mom gone was never easy for me ... to see him like that. Don't you know Mamma how much he had detached from everyone until he got Kiya back? And now they are saying all these about him as if he had done something grave

Chachu: But at least you could have told Manav ... do you think we will conduct his marriage without his wish?

Manav: Really? Are you saying that Bhai? I hadn't forgotten anything happened here when I announced my love for Arpi. You people locked me up inside my room without anything to communicate with her ... I had ... I had pleaded you all that at least let me talk to her once. But you didn't allow for that instead threatened her sending goons and what not you had done to stop the marriage? If not for Kabir and Gayu I would have lost her ... and do you think I am mad that I will tell him to talk to you before marrying her ... in the crucial point of their life ... that too when I know my son can't breathe without her ... no, right?

Anjali: But we all want him to marry Sheetal. And I am his sister so how could he go against my wish? And didn't I have any importance in his life? And ... did you think about Sheetal ... the poor girl was weaving dreams about a married life with him and he got married hurting that poor soul? And do you think I will accept this marriage?

Manav: Are you hearing what are you saying Anjali? Now too ... you are worried about your sister in law ... not your brother and... you are saying me this? The person who got married without waiting for her father and brother's arrival. And about Sheetal did Arnav say once that he will marry her? No, right? It is your problem that you had instilled false hopes in her. And by the way who are you? ... a queen ... that everyone will act according to you? It is not your concern but your ego speaking ... so understand for once and all Anjali ... your brother is a happily married man

Hearing his harsh words Anjali ran to her room crying followed by her husband and Chachi.

Dadi: MANAV ... what have you done? ... you made Anju cry? And how can you accuse her? Her marriage happened without you two because of the auspicious time ... but what about Arnav?

Manav: Auspicious time ... my foot ... is it that much important for her than her own father and brother? When in Arnav's case it was the situation's demand (His voice choked at the end remembering the importance Anjali showed him and Arnav in her life) ... forget it ... it is my stupidity to explain to you all

Nani said seeing him going overboard.

Nani: Manav will you please calm down for some time? I will explain everything to Devyani ... you go and rest for some time

Manav: And you think they will understand it? It is the waste of the time Mamma ... they all can never understand me or my son, so don't even try it. And everyone ... now listen to me carefully I won't tolerate it if anyone ... and I meant it, anyone ... accuses Arnie or Kiya  ... or else you will have to face their father Dr. Manav Singh Raizada and let me tell you ... that will not be very nice

Saying this he too marched to his room.
