Manik got ready, and they both came downstairs to find Dadi sitting with Ayaan while Nyonika was in the kitchen. Nandini went into the kitchen, while Manik took a seat at the dining table. Normally, when Manik came downstairs, he would talk to Dadi, and she would engage in conversation with him. However, today was different; they didn't exchange a word.

Dadi (in her mind): Today, my Mannu didn't even talk to me. It's all because of that girl. I wonder what time she will choose to get Mannu married to her.

Manik (in his mind): Dadi, I'm sorry for ignoring you, but you should also understand that you can't always blame Nandini.

Ayaan: Manik, there's an important meeting at the office today. Do you remember?

Manik: Dad, can you please attend the meeting for me?

Ayaan: Are you going somewhere?

Manik: Yes, Dad. Nandini and I are going to the doctor.

Ayaan, understanding the situation, nodded in agreement. Meanwhile, breakfast was served, and they began eating. After breakfast, Ayaan left for the office, while Dadi went to her room without acknowledging their presence.

Nyonika: How long until your appointment, kids?

Nandini: Mom, it's in half an hour.

Nyonika: Then you should leave now. There might be traffic on the way.

Manik: Yes, Mom. We're just about to leave. I'll grab my keys and wallet, and he left from there.

Nyonika: Nandini, my child, don't worry. It's just a normal checkup. Don't let negative thoughts fill your mind.

Nandini: Yes, Mom. Manik was also saying the same thing, that everything will be fine.

Nyonika: Then why the gloomy face?

Nandini: Mom, I'm just scared, what if...

Nyonika: Shh... Don't entertain such negative thoughts. Everything will be alright. You'll see, soon you will become a mother.

Nandini: Yes, Mom.

Nyonika smiled, and Nandini smiled back.

Nandini: I love you, Mom.

Nyonika: I love you too, my child, and she kissed Nandini's forehead.

Manik witnessed this loving exchange between them and smiled, feeling happy to see them together.

Manik: Nandini, let's go.

Nandini: Yes.

Nyonika: Go peacefully, my children, and Manik, drive slowly.

Manik: Okay, Mom.

With that, they both left, embarking on their journey to the hospital. The journey was silent, but their hearts were filled with prayers, hoping that everything would go well.

However, life is never as easy as we imagine. It is full of obstacles. It depends on us how we accept and deal with them. The same would be true for Manan. Let's see if they can stay strong or if they will break under the challenges that lie ahead.

Manan reached the hospital and approached the reception, where they asked for Dr. Veeba. They had an appointment with her, and the receptionist guided them to her cabin. They entered and greeted the doctor.

Dr. Veeba: So, you must be Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra.

Manan: Yes.

Dr. Veeba: Alright, please have a seat.

Manik and Nandini took their seats, and Dr. Veeba asked them the reason for their visit.

Manik: Doctor, my wife and I are trying to conceive, but we haven't been successful.

Dr. Veeba: I see. How long have you been trying?

Manik: It's been about four months, approximately.

Dr. Veeba: I see. How is your sexual life?

Manan felt awkward but understood the importance of answering honestly.

Manik: It's good, Doctor.

Dr. Veeba: Mrs. Malhotra, do you experience any issues with your body, such as irregular periods or any other concerns?

Nandini: Yes, Doctor. I have irregular periods, and they are accompanied by severe pain.

Dr. Veeba: Irregular periods are a common issue, but we need to conduct fertility tests to assess the situation.

Nandini: Alright.

Dr. Veeba: Mr. Malhotra, we will also need to run tests on you.

Manik: Okay, Doctor, no problem.

Dr. Veeba: Alright. Nandini, please come with me, and Mr. Malhotra, a male nurse will take you to the testing room.

Manik: Alright.

Manik went for his tests, while Nandini accompanied Dr. Veeba. After their respective tests, Manik finished first and waited for Nandini in Dr. Veeba's cabin. After some time, Nandini entered the cabin with the doctor, and they both exchanged smiles upon seeing each other.

Dr. Veeba: The reports will be ready in about half an hour. Please wait here as I have another case to attend to outside.

Manan: Alright.

Nandini: Mani...

Manik: Yes, my love?

Nandini: I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen.

Manik: Shh... Relax, my love. Nothing bad will happen. And even if it does, we'll face it together. Okay?

Nandini nodded, and Manik hugged her tightly. After a while, they broke the hug and sat together on the sofa in the room. Nandini rested her head on Manik's shoulder, playing with his fingers, while Manik gently ran his fingers through her hair. They didn't need words to communicate; they simply found comfort in each other's presence.

After half an hour, the door opened, and Dr. Veeba entered with the reports in her hand. Manan stood up and took their seats in front of her.

Manik: Is everything fine, Doctor?

Nandini fidgeted with her saree pallu, feeling anxious.

Dr. Veeba: Mr. Malhotra, your reports are all clear. You are fertile, and there are no problems with you.

Manan breathed a sigh of relief.

Manik: And what about Nandini?

Dr. Veeba: She is also fertile... but...

Nandini: But what? (stammering)

Dr. Veeba: Nandini, your uterus is very weak. It is unable to carry a baby, so whenever ovulation occurs, the weak uterus bursts, causing you to experience painful periods.

Tears welled up in Nandini's eyes, and Manik, seeing her distress, tightly clasped her hand.

Manik: There must be a cure for this too, right? (with hope)

Dr. Veeba: There are treatments available there is 1 percent of chance , Mr. Malhotra, but Nandini's body is already very weak to carry a baby. While we can try some medications, they may or may not work due to the weakened uterus. I don't want to give you false hope.

Manik: Oh, okay, Doctor.

Dr. Veeba: However, I would suggest considering surrogacy.

Manik: What are you saying, Doctor? (stands up from the chair) Nandini couldn't control herself any longer and ran out of the room.

Manik said to the doctor, "As you mentioned, there is a 1 percent chance, which means there is hope. And I know our hope will prevail." With that, he rushed outside to find Nandini.

Manik searched for Nandini but couldn't locate her. Restlessness consumed him as he wandered past a storage room. He heard crying sounds coming from within, so he entered and discovered Nandini sitting on the floor, sobbing. Seeing her in that state shattered him because he didn't know how to assure her that everything would be fine when he himself wasn't entirely sure.

Taking small steps, Manik approached Nandini and called out to her.

Manik: Nandini.

Nandini, with teary eyes, looked at him and said, "Manik, I'm sorry that I can't give you the happiness of being a father. I... I'm so... sorry," and she continued to cry, holding onto him tightly.

Manik: Nandini, look at me. You are not at fault. It's not your mistake, and why are you apologizing?

Nandini: Manik, I can never be a mother. I can never experience the joy of carrying a baby inside me. (She cried loudly.) Manik, I want to be a mother. I want our blood to come into this world. I want us to become parents, to hold our baby together and play with them... I don't want anybody else to carry our baby inside their womb... please, Manik.

Manik: Shh... First, calm down. And who said I would agree to surrogacy? I can't imagine anyone else carrying our blood inside them. You didn't listen to her; there is a 1 percent chance, Nandini.

Nandini (after stopping her tears): But 99 percent is not in our favor.

Manik: Where is my positive Nandini, who used to find positivity in every small thing? This is not like you.

Nandini: Yes, Manik, you're right. There is a 1 percent chance, which means there is hope. You'll see, our hope will definitely prevail.

Manik felt relieved to see her positive outlook and gave her a small smile. He said, "Now, let's get up. We need to go."

Nandini replied, "I want to go to the washroom."

Manik said, "Sure, you go to the washroom. In the meantime, I'll go and purchase the medicine."

Nandini nodded, and they separated briefly. Manik went to buy the medicine, while Nandini went to the washroom to freshen up. After a while, they met near the car.

Nandini asked, "Did you purchase the medicine?"

Manik responded, "Yes, you have to take the medicine twice a day, and after a week, we need to meet the doctor again."

Nandini said, "Alright."

In car

Nandini: Manik...

Manik: Hmm?

Nandini: How are we going to tell our family about this?

Manik: I don't know, but they have the right to know the truth.

Nandini: Yes, Manik. It's just that they had so much hope, especially Dadi. But now I feel like I've crushed all their hopes.

Manik: How many times do I have to tell you that you're not at fault? You need to clear this from your mind and not worry about anyone else. I'll handle it.

Nandini nodded and rested her head on his shoulder. Manik gently kissed her forehead from time to time. With that, they reached the Malhotra Mansion.

Sometimes life give u obstacles. Obstacles that may feel unfair or too extreme .But u are given choices
Break through the obstacles or the obstacles will break u and the choices are in ur hand

And Manan chooses to deal with obstacles but it will not easy as they will get so many persons who will try to break them but till the time they are together everything will be fine
