Both Manan was peacefully asleep, devoid of worries or frowns as if they were deeply and madly in love. Life seemed easy and uncomplicated. However, little did they know that storms were awaiting them in the future. Despite this, one thing was certain—they would face it all together, no matter what.

Suddenly, they were interrupted by the sound of their alarm, disturbing their peaceful slumber. Nandini woke up and turned off the alarm. It was only 6:00 in the morning, and Nandini wasn't an early riser before her marriage. However, for the sake of her family, she had changed herself, and she was content with it. She glanced affectionately at Manik, who was still sleeping with his mouth slightly open and smiled.

Nandini proceeded to the washroom for her morning routine, freshening up and changing into a saree. She then stood in front of the mirror, applying minimal makeup. She adorned herself with her Mangalsutra and applied vermillion on her forehead. Casting a final glance at Manik, she made her way downstairs.

She entered the kitchen and saw Nyonika already present there.

Nandini: Good morning, Mom.

Nyonika: Good morning, bacha.

Nandini: So, Mom, what should we cook today?

Nyonika: I was thinking of making something light as we had a heavy dinner last night.

Nandini: Okay, Mom, as you say.

Nyonika: By the way, Nandini, did you guys think about what I mentioned last month? I'm just asking, though it's entirely up to you.

Nandini: Mom, yes, we already talked about it, and we are ready for it.

With happiness, Nyonika tightly hugged her and said, "I am so excited. I just can't wait to hear the good news of becoming a dadi (grandmother)."

Nandini blushed slightly. (The thing was, after 5 years of their marriage, they hadn't conceived yet. In the beginning, they wanted some time, but a month ago, Nyonika asked Nandini about family planning. Nandini said she would talk to Manik, and they started their family planning.)

With this, they began making breakfast while engaging in light conversation. Around 7:30, they finished their breakfast, and Nandini said, "Mom, I will go and give this tea and medicine to Dadi, and then I will go and wake up Manik."

Nyonika replied, "Okay, you go. Meanwhile, I will also go and wake up Ayaan."

Nandini went to Dadi's room and found her praying.

Nandini: Good morning, Dadi.

Dadi: Good morning, beta.

Nandini: Here, take your medicine first, and then have this tea.

Dadi: I don't know what would have happened to me if you weren't here. I keep forgetting to take these medicines.

Nandini: Why do you need to remember? I'm here to remind you every day. (with a smile)

Dadi: By the way, did Manik wake up?

Nandini left for their room, and the sight was pure bliss to watch as Manik was sleeping on his stomach, hugging the pillow tightly, with his mouth slightly open. She smiled and sat beside him, saying, "Manik, wake up, it's morning."

But Manik snuggled into her tummy and went back to sleep.

Nandini: Manik, wake up, or else you'll be late for the office.

Manik: Just five more minutes.

Nandini: She sighed and started caressing his hair while Manik snuggled into her tummy even more, removing a little bit of her saree and caressing her waist as he slept.

Manik: "Wake up, five minutes are over," Manik said, and Nandini smiled.

Manik opened his eyes and sat up straight.

Nandini: "Good morning, Manik."

Manik: "A very good morning, Nandini."

Nandini: "Come on, get up and get ready, or else you'll be late for your office," she said, starting her usual banter.

But Manik just sat on the bed without moving an inch.

Nandini: "What?"

Manik: "First, give me my morning dose, or I'm not waking up."

Nandini: She blushed and said, "Mani, first take a bath and brush your teeth. I believe in a hygienic kiss, you know, Mr. Mahlotra."

Manik: "Is it Mrs. Mahlotra?" he said, pulling Nandini over him and turning them around so that Nandini was under him. He then took her lips in a soulful kiss, both of them savoring each other's embrace. After some time, they broke the kiss and said, "Now, this is a happy morning. See, this is how you wake up your husband."

Nandini: "Okay, fine, Mr. Husband. Go get ready fast, or else you'll be late."

With that, Manik entered the bathroom for freshening up, while Nandini tidied the room, removing Manik's clothes for the day. She then went downstairs.

Nyonika: "Is my son up?"

Nandini: "Yes, Mom, he's getting ready."

Ayaan and Dadi came downstairs.

Nandini: "Good morning, Dad."

Ayaan: "Good morning, beta."

Nandini: "Here's your coffee."

Ayaan: "Thanks, beta. So, where is my son?"

Nandini: "He is getting ready."

Ayaan (annoyed tone): "How come he's always late when he knows we all have breakfast together at 9:00?"

Dadi: "It's alright, Ayaan. He'll come. After all, he works so hard and gets tired. Look, he's already here, my raja beta (king son)."

Manik came and hugged Dadi, saying, "Dadi Maa, I love you so much. You're the one who loves me the most."

Dadi: "Hayee, mera bacha. How could I not love you, my precious child?" She kissed his forehead and said, "Stay happy always."

Manik went to his dad and wished him good morning, and Ayaan also wished him. They all sat at the dining table while Nandini and Nyonika were in the kitchen. They brought out the food and served it to everyone, engaging in small family talks during breakfast.

After breakfast, Dadi went to her room, Ayaan and Manik left for their offices bidding goodbye to their wives. Ayaan left the house, and Nyonika went inside the kitchen while Nandini stood by the door to bid farewell to Manik.

Nandini: "Bye, Manik. Take care of yourself. I've packed your lunch, and make sure Dad has his lunch too. Don't stress yourself."

Manik: "Relax, my dear wife. I know all this. You say it to me every day. Don't you get bored?"

Nandini: "Why would I get bored? I just care for you," she replied with a smile.

Manik: He also smiled and said, "You take care of yourself too. Don't get too involved in work that you forget about yourself. Take a nap in the afternoon."

Nandini: "Okay."

Manik kissed her forehead, and Nandini smiled, as she loved it when Manik kissed her forehead before leaving for the office. She then kissed his cheek, and Manik bid goodbye and left for the office. With a smile, Nandini went inside and moved towards the kitchen...
