Next day morning, he admired looking at her in a peaceful sleep. Hugging the pillow closer to her and fully covering her body, she slept in peace. He took few minutes to move his eyes away from her. His hands wanted to touch her forehead and move away her messed up hairs but somewhere his brain stopped him.

Dev left from her room and went to downstairs. Moving inside the kitchen, he prepared a cup of coffee for himself. He came back to the living room and placed the cup of coffee in the table. Dev picked up his laptop and sat on the couch, resting his legs on the table.

Dev quickly switched on the laptop and opened his mail. Each time he wanted to get information about anyone it just took him few hours but wanting to find information about sonakshi it took him three days. From the day she was gone missing, he tried hacking all her social media and university mails.

Dev was happy to know that he can completely know about Sonakshi but somewhere he was scared to know how dark was her past? Dev didn't take much time to open the mail which he received from Vicky.

After completing her medical degree sonakshi worked in a small clinic. She was getting her training done there. She also started a home for children who lost their parents. She took the responsibility on herself to educate the children and provide them all their basic requirements.

Sonakshi ran this orphanage with the money she earned, their were also some people who used to give donations. Most of them loved her for what she was. Everyone in that particular area looked up to her caring nature.

In later periods she really developed that orphanage like a private school. Looking at the children grow in front of her eyes she had a smile on her face.

Big businessman and the wealthy people of the society also started to donate in her child care centre to get reduction in their tax.

When one time the great young business man ANURAG met her, he started to develop feelings for her.
They had a better relationship with each other. He started to help her in whatever she wants. She always made him feel happy inside, like everything is good in the world.
Probably no one developed hatred over Sonakshi. There could be non hating her or thinking her as their enemy.

When anurag decided to start a life with sonakshi, his family didn't accept. Anurag was already engaged to his father's friend's daughter KOMOLIKA. They both were good friends and their family hoped to get them married.

When dev was done reading till there he noticed a video below that. Dev felt proud to know that she was a bold and beautiful girl. He started to love her more for being independent and strong. Clicking on to the video he took a deep breath.

"I don't think it will be ideal for me to marry you, when I have sonakshi in my heart" anurag said with pleading eyes.

"I would have thought about if you said me before. Not when we are going to get engaged. If we break this today our family pride will go down" she replied. As it was cctv recording the face of her wasn't really clear but dev understood her to be the finance of anurag, komolika.

"how can I push our family in embarrassment" komolika said with a sad face. Anurag literally felt all her genuine words but he never wanted to leave the love of his life also at that moment.

"I'm sorry girl. I can't help this lovely dovey couple" komolika spoke with tears in her eyes and walked away from the couple who were literally waiting to seek her help.

"It's fine what she's saying is also right. Now, things have crossed out of our hands" sonakshi sounded really low.

"I won't leave you" anurag held her hands and took her to the place everyone was standing.

"Anurag, let me go" sonakshi was pleading him.

"Wait What will you say? You love her and stop the engagement. That will literally bring down our pride. My parents and your parents can't take up this." Komolika was crying in front of them as Sonakshi took few steps away giving them some private time.

"What do you want me to do? I always tried speaking at home but no one in the family heard me. No one spend time with me. It was only sonakshi who was always with me. She helped me stop my drugs and drinking habits. How on the earth will I leave her?" Anurag voice was too loud even sonakshi who stood few distance away from them hearing that had tears in her eyes.

"Lets get engaged today and decide later" she said and pulled him to the stage.

Sonakshi had to smile with tears in her eyes.

The vedio ended with anurag getting engaged with komolika.

There was another 10mins vedio which showed komolika threading sonakshi.
It was a cctv footage from her child care centre orphanage.

"You have to give this kids the medicine I give you instead of polio drops and then I don't think of losing anurag to you." She spoke harshly.

"It's hundred life which matter to me. I can't do it being a doctor. Now, get out" sonakshi yelled on top of her voice.

"Hey calm down sweetheart. It's just to check whether children are getting immune to it. As my father is a minister I know how much we spend on giving free polio drops to such poor kids" she spoke and that made sonakshi's eye's turn red.

"We don't do animal testing also for some products. How do you think I will accept you to test on the children I educate and protect them. Leave before I fuck you" soanskhi was forced to be harsh on her. He didn't like to scold anyone or show her anger. May be in her whole life she was only getting angry on komolika.

"Calm down. You still don't gst at me right. This polio drops are cheap sonakshi. I'm a money minded person. I can't tolerate spending money on useless life. Try this new polio drops on them and I will get you married with anurag" komolika looked like she wasn't really going to leave sonakshi.

Sonakshi gave a tight slap on her face.

"I don't need him. I care more about these children and I can do anything for these children. They are my life. If you want me to choice between anurag and the children I grow. I choose these children" soanskhi said with a smile across her lips. She did not feel sad for leaving anurag to her, she felt happy for protecting the children. It was true that the children in her orphanage meant the world to her.

When komolika was about to leave from there after enough of embarrassment she said. "I will make anurag to hate you and destroy this beautiful child care centre of yours. My challenge to you" she said to sonakshi.

"You can make anurag to hate me but never destroy this place. It's fucking true that I consider this as my home. Before I kill you run away." Sonakshi spoke and shut the door.

That cliping ended and there was one more vedio for dev to see. Hopefully it should be the last vedio he thought. Dev really felt like respecting sonakshi for what she was. A talented and a caring woman was still a deadly combination for him.

The next vedio was yet again a cctv footage, from a shopping mall.
Sonakshi was quickly picking up dress for small children. She was in the kids section. The vedio clearly expressed how much she loves kids.

There was a random man who tried to lay his hands on her. She was trying to escape from his hold but he was continuously following her.

The guy pulled her to the corner of the floor. "Just giving me a kiss and that will be sent to your boyfriend" he spoke on a seducing tone.

He was trying to touch her and sonakshi lost her patience. "Get your fucking hands off me" she growled menacingly, stepping backward.

She put her hands on his chest and pushed as hard as she could, but he didn't let go of her, he just held me tighter, laughing.

"You're so beautiful" he breathed in her eyes and sonakshi felt it so awkward.

This time he dug his fingers into her sides roughly. Pain shot through her, making me cry out, but no one could hear because she was far away from people's moments.

"Please! Why are you doing this?" I cried, tears falling down my face.

"One night stay with me and I will pay you for that" he said making sonakshi's blood boil.

"Tell her I will get the money in a better way from a person who offers from his heart." Sonakshi replied furious.

"It is also a better way. Tell me how much for a kiss?" He purred, kissing her neck.

"Millions. Give me million" sonakshi yelled.

"Move away from her" a masculine voice was heard.

"Look she's just behind your money. Gold digger" komolika gave a smile to sonakshi.

"Yes. I need money. I want this random guy to settle the bill and so I was romancing with him" sonakshi said and walked out with teary eyes.

"In what I challenged to you, one is already done. Just one more to go" komolika said and raised sonakshi's anger.

She gave her a tight slap and anurag who looked at it raised his hands for the first time against sonakshi.

"Go to hell. I don't need you. I hate you" sonakshi said. "You will know the truth before you for anurag. You need to know, I'm not a characterless girl" she told him with a smile and the video ended.

After few months anurag came to know that sonakshi is innocent. He decided to get back to her but unfortunately when he returned from his business trip his flight got crashed.

Dev then noticed a voice recording, which was taken from anurag's phone.

I love you.....you are my back bone.
I'm still guilty for not trusting you. I personally went to check the cctv footage from the store and I noticed you pushing him darling. Now, before I die in this flight I would like to apologise you baby. I really feel like I don't deserve you for trusting you. I hope it reaches you one day.

This was recorded by anurag to sonakshi few minutes before his flight started to burn.

The mail came to an end. Dev finished his coffee and switched of his laptop.
"She is too strong. Having so much problems she always smiled. You are the best doll" dev whispered looking at her picture in his laptop.

The more he knew about her his heart started to melt for her.

He felt the need to really do some workout and kill his frustrations.
The little more which dev wanted to know was how did sonakshi get those scars? and he made another plan for that. Going near the garden he picked up his weight lifting equipment. Little did he know exercising aggressively could reduce his stress.

Sonakshi woke up from her bed and noticed dev wasn't sleeping beside her. She quickly moved to the side of bed he was sleeping and Hugged his pillow, she felt his masculine scent. Somewhere that's how she wanted to begin her day.

She went to quickly open the curtains. From one side window of the room she looked at the busy city and when she opened the other side curtains, she looked at dev who was busy exercising In the garden. She unknowingly started bitting the nails in her fingers. She watched his perfectly-toned body and stared at him from top. He was wearing his track pants and just a towel on his shoulder giving way for her to admire his perfection.
She could see every muscles under his skin. His body was lean and cut. Everything is flawless; his arms, his chest, and his abs. She noticed him sweating so much. She just wanted to run to him and place a kiss on his chest but just decided to stare at him for awhile. It looked like dev wasn't going to stop exercising and sonakshi wasn't going to stop staring at him.

Few minutes later sonakshi walked down after freshing up herself. Dev just entered inside the living room after his heavy exercises.

"I feel like I never saw you exercising early in the morning. That too you really look exhausted now" sonakshi complained looking at him.

"I will go fresh up and come" he said making her swallowed the lump in her throat, too scared to even ask what him.

Sonakshi decided to go inside the kitchen and prepare a small breakfast for both of them. When she went inside the kitchen she noticed a bowl full of noddles and a jar filled with Orange juice. She looked it surprised thinking when he had time to make all that.

"Are you hungry?" he asked simply, noticing her placing plates and the dish bowl in the dining table.

"Yes" she said

He quickly pulled out a chair and asked her to sit, he sat closer to her, making her little nervous. There was lot of thinks Sonakshi wanted to hear from his facial expressions but found it really hard.

Using his fork, dev picked few amount of noddles and held it out for her, expecting her to take it with her mouth. His eyes told her this was no offer, but a way for him to prove he loves her.

Sonakshi stared at him. Something in her sensed he was hurt, she felt he was not himself.

"I can't hold like this a long time doll, open your mouth" he put his hand down and again raised it.

Slowly parting her lips, She took the noddles into her mouth and slid her lips away from the fork.

"It's nice" sonakshi said even before he could ask how is it? He just gave her a smile and continued making her ear the noddles.

She didn't expect him to pamper her this much but she was still loving it.
They ate their breakfast in silence and, when he took their plates to the kitchen, she hoped he will tell her something but he walked silent.

Sonakshi waited for dev in the living room as he took some time to clean the mess he created In the kitchen.

Looking at sonakshi sit silently In the couch he said "I want to help you overcome your fear of touch" his voice was commanding.

"I will become alright as time pass" sonakshi silently said to dev.

"Shh.... I can't give you much time" He frightened her to the core.
Please let me go! She started pleading in her head. She knew he won't leave her until he got questions for all his answers.

"Aren't you going for work m" her question came out really fast.

"I took two months leave to look after you" he replied making her eyes moist. She was loving few changes about him but still was scared to speak up the truth to him.

"Better try telling me the truth doll. How did you get those scars?" Dev questioned her, he sat next to her the couch as his hands moved around her shoulder.

"My chain it" before Sonakshi could say anything dev pulled out a knife which was in his pant pocket. He was about to cut his hand and make a scar but Sonakshi stopped him.

"Dumb. Stop hurting yourself." She said resting her head on his chest. She was clinging to him.

"You have fear of touch and your hugging?" Dev asked trying to move her away from him but she made her hold on him even more tighter.

"Why did you take the knife and go to cut your hand? First answer me this" she was almost crying in his hold.

"I wanted to show you the difference between a knife cut and a chain scratches. You can stop me from cutting my hand today but daily you have been piercing my heart by not telling me the truth about your wounds" he said and softly moved his hands around her hair. "I'm sorry, I really don't remember what happened that day" she was about to cry when he was speaking up to her with lots of heavy emotions.

"Doll, I know you didn't forget anything, I personally spoke to the doctor who treated you." This was really hard for sonakshi to take up. She had no idea on how to react to him. He needed her to trust him with her secrets. Few drops of tears left from her eyes. That somewhere caused a pain in his heart.

"Shh....relax I'm not angry on you for that. I just want to know what made you do all this" He pulled her back into his body and into his arms, holding her tightly, unable to bear her pain any longer. He silently cupped her face and started to kiss her tears.
"Now, don't cry after getting caught red handed in my hand" he whispered in her ears and reduced the tear drops falling from her eyes. "I said I lost my memory so that you don't question me about my accident and.... I said I have fear of touch to you, so that you don't touch me and find out about my scars" sonakshi took a deep breath, she finally surrendered herself to him.
The way her eyes turned pale and nose turned red made admire at her. Some where he felt she was crying for him. Looking at her eyes it was now hard for him to think God could not exist. There was no way sonakshi could exist if God didn't. Sonakshi was made special, from the first time he met her. Made for him, like she's only belongs to him.

"Fine. Who did this do you? Don't think I should show them death" his dark deep black eye ball looked straight into her eyes. "I'm telling right the scars in my neck are just caused by-" this she was yet again coming up with a lie, he got annoyed and placed his finger on her lips. "Don't lie. I will cut my hand with this knife and show that the cut In your neck and my hand are way too similar. Shall we go for that doll?" Before he could even complete his question she nodded her head in a no. Never in her dreams she wants to see him bleeding red.

"I'm here on this earth for you, to save you" he spoke those words with a huge emotion and placed a soft kids on her cheek.

Taking her hand, he pulled her even closer to him, telling her in his commanding tone, "Come here" he pulled her by waist and made her comfortably sit on top of him. Her body fell into his lap, not knowing if she craved his touch or it was a command from him. It was all very strange to her, trying to deal with this new version of dev who learnt everything about her and she wasn't able to keep up her secrets with him.

Dev turned her to face him and at same time he felt like she could rest her head on his chest, when she really wanted to cry because of his continuous questions. He moved his one hand at her back, pulling her really close to him while he rested his other hand on her thigh. She felt protective in his hold and She could feel herself melting into him.

"Knife cut?" His voice was soft, yet strong like his touch on her.

There was no more pretending that she had gotten them from the chain as she met with an accident, not from dev. He had known the second he saw her for the first time in the hospital that they had been caused by a knife. After all she wasn't able to fool him.

"Yes..." Sonakshi agreed to dev.

Sonakshi found it really hard to hide the truth from dev. She even made the police and doctor believe, she got them as her chain cut her skin. From the time dev noticed her neck, she only got scared looking at suspecting stare on her fresh scars.

"Do you remember that person's face or any clue can you tell me" dev asked her with a pleading eyes. He wanted to show that person what a real death looks like.

"No, I wasn't in my conscious. You don't stress on that. I can't see you hurt. I have nothing left to lose more" she said Biting her lip. He decided to not question her more about it.

"You don't just have a scar on your neck right?" His haunting eyes made her get scared. Further more lie one day or the other she was going to get caught by him again. She slowly shook her head in a no.

"Won't you reveal it to me?" He asked with a hope she will tell him.

"Only if you promise me you would not ask me any more question" she gave a look like, one more question and I'm dying. He nodded in a yes.

"In my arm" she replied

"Show me" he ordered moving his face closer to her.

She quickly pulled up her long sleeve top."how did you find out like I would have some more scars?" She asked him. "I don't suffer from a memory loss and you never wore clothes with long sleeves when you stay at home" his answer made sonakshi happy on thinking that he actually noticed her.

Sonakshi revealed him her scars on right hand. It was fresh and so pinkish, making him get scared. "Isn't it burning when you Cover them?" He asked panicking. "You need to apply some medicines on it" he said moving his fingers on her scars which was revealed to him, there was continuous five to six cuts on her arm.

"They aren't much painful" she said In a soft tone, blowing on his face and moving the messed up hair on his forehead as he tightly held her hand.

Each mark almost glowed against her pale skin, the mark was actually deep. Dev's lips touched her scars making her shiver in his hold. He still had a tight grip on her and noticed how she got goosebumps when his lips touched her scars. He made sure he kisses all the scars in arms. He found those scars also beautiful just because he knew she had beautiful heart too. Now, as he felt like murdering the person who gave her too many cuts, he also felt like killing himself for piercing her heart with his words. He waited to kiss her soul and ask for apologise.

"I feel much better now" she said giving him a smile.

"You still have some more scars?" He questioned her, he had an expression on his face which told I know about all your scars, making her completely stare at him in defeat.
She swallowed hard.

"Are you going to make show them. I don't know why but I feel embarrassed " she said with pleading eyes, stating I can't completely expose myself here.

"Not today, but just remember one day or the other you need to reveal it me" he told her, still touching each scars in her arm.

"I know but still-
I can't lift my cloth and show you in the living room" she whispered.

"Atleast Tell me where the rest of the scars are?" He was behaving like he wasn't really gonna leave her, until he knew everything about her scars.

"In my chest, a little below my neck. My lower stomach. Now please leave me" she tried her level best to get up from his lap but his hold was too strong on her.

Dev grabbed her face, forcing her to look at him. "Did you apply medicine there?" He sounded concerned and she nodded in a yes. "Do you seriously think I will rest before killing that person who caused you this much scars" he questioned her, making her regret for telling him everything. Somewhere his eyes was making her get scared. "Please dev don't get into any trouble. Let's forget it." She said.

"I can't, no had the rights to trouble my doll. You can forget but not me" he roared like a lion, she helplessly looked at him.

"You don't even know who's that person nor I remember who's that person. Let it go until they don't come and trouble us. I promise you, I won't leave this house as i kmow this the only place I can be safe" she tried her level best to control his anger but he did not listen to her.

Little did dev know she was feeling insecure with her scars. How can that be going without notice to him? He tried his best to make her love her scars by losing his hold on her and taking his hands over her lips.

"You beautiful doll" he squeezed her, she had do giggle as his hands tickled her.

"Even after looking at my scars you find me beautiful?" She questioned him and he held her waist even more tighter bringing her lips closer to his.
His breath teased her lips. She closed her eyes feeling his lips against her's.

Dev biting her bottom lip caused a noise of pleasure to escape her throat, like it had the last time. He smiled against her lips before he smoothed his tongue inside her mouth. As he was about to whisper, sonakshi start to kiss him harder to just stop him from telling something. The moment they broke the kiss she said "don't you dare try to speak anything while kissing me" that made him chuckle and silently nod his head.

"I think you like being bit, doll" he teased her, immediately her whole cheeks turned red.

"You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Believe me doll" dev told placing a light kiss on her lips.

"But I'm hating these scars on me" she decided to tell him, how much disgusting she was feeling to look at those scars.

"You love me right?" He questioned her with a hope she would say yes and as per his wish she nodded her head in a Yes, not making him disappointed.

"I love your scars the way I love you. Trust me when I say, you and your scars are the only thing I love in this world. As you love me, I except you to love what I love too" his words made her get flattered for him. "Okay! I love my scars happy" she said and placed a kiss on his forehead before getting up from his lap.

"I'm going down to My office, which is basement. Any emergency text me doll. I will meet you later" he said leaving her alone in the house. Soanskhi bid a bye to him without asking him any questions.

It was time for lunch dev didn't come, sonakshi felt annoyed for eating her lunch alone. Sonakshi went back to her room and took her phone. That's when she noticed dev's text.

Wear the saree I kept inside your cupboard tonight.

Sonakshi felt clueless on why dev instructed her wear a saree and said her to have dinner before 8pm and take rest.

Saree will expose my scars.

She texted him back.

JUST DO WHAT I SAY!

He texted her and sonakshi left it seen. She was literally hating to show those scars to dev. Only sonakshi knew that if she was gonna wear saree, she was going to expose her scars.

It was dinner time, dev still didn't come from his office in basement. Sonakshi decided to go and meet him but that's when a text popped from him telling he would come and meet her in an hour. Dev also instructed her wear the saree and wait for him in her room. She could sense him looking at her for some camera around the house.

Sonakshi moved back to her room after eating her dinner. She was really excited to know about dev's plans.

Sonakshi tried really hard to hide all her scars. If she covered her stomach the scars below her neck was exposed, if she covered that the scars in her stomach was exposed. She really felt annoyed each time she looked at those scars.

The time flew and dev asked sonakshi to come to the living room. The staircase was filled with golden lights and living room looked dark. Sonakshi wondered why dev had called her to the living room, tonight. The moment her eyes met at dev, he looked a bit sexier than he usually did with his buttoned up shirt that was a dark blue. He had a smile on his lips and deep black eyes yet again made her stunned.

Dev slowly started covering the distance between them, sonakshi just stood still in her place. He reached out and took her hand, pulling her toward him. "You look fucking beautiful." He fanned her face with his hot breathes.

Sonakshi's heart started beating as dev leaned down to kiss her lightly on the lips. "You killed me with this look of yours" he said hugging her tightly closer to his chest and she hugged him back "I missed you lots" she suddenly spoke making him laugh.

Dev asked sonakshi to follow him. He took her to the garden, which was filled with red and white roses, that matched with her saree as the blue sky matched with his t-shirt. Sonakshi's eyes feel on the table with two chairs. Dev held her hands and took her till the table. He immediately pulled out a chair for her as Sonakshi admired the dark brown chocholate cake on the table. TO MY LOVE was the three words written on the cake which made her smile. Dev made sonakshi sit on the chair, when she looked really confused. He said "Happy birthday doll" back bugging her and placing a soft kiss on her cheek. She almost had tears in her eyes as it was the first birthday she was celebrating in her life.

Sonakshi smiled as she gave dev a quick kiss on the lips. "Thank you. I love you"

Dev smiled back at her. "You're welcome, my doll" he placed the candle on the cake and asked her to blow it. "How did you find out it's my birthday?" She asked him before blowing the candles. "It's 12o'clock make a wish soon" he replied forcing her to blow the candles.

"Made a wish" he asked as she was about to cut the cake.

"I have nothing to wish. I already got the best" she replied with a small smile adoring her lips.

As Sonakshi cut the cake, he then picked a small piece of cake up and put it to sonakshi's lips. Sonakshi slowly opened her mouth and took a bite. She had butterflies running around her stomach in shyness.

The taste was sweet and bitter, it tasted the best! she didn't know if it was the best chocolate cake she had ever eaten because of the taste or because dev was feeding it to her with lots of love.

"How does it taste, doll"

Sonakshi's heart started to beat fast and same went with dev. She licked her lips and said "Delicious."

"May I feed you?" She asked him and waited for a yes! He felt like why did she even questioned that instead of placing the cake inside his mouth.

Dev smiled, glad with her question. "Yes."

Sonakshi's heart started to race as she cut another piece of cake and took it near his mouth. She put it to dev's mouth and her body waiting in anticipation. She watched him grab her hand and take her whole fingers into his mouth and suck. All she could do was just laugh at his childish act.

"This is the first time I'm cutting a cake and celebrating my birthday. I always tried to hide myself during my birthday every year. You have given me the best birthday surprise" she said looking deep into his eyes. All dev could do was stand up to move to her before she could cry emotionally. "That's why I tried making cake by myself for you" he said kissing her forehead.

As he sat down under feet in the garden she took his hand and held in her hand. "You will always be with me know? No matter what" she asked moving her one hand inside his head and gazing his hair. "Not even your dreams doll" he replied pulling her closer to his face. The moment their face got together he was fast enough to taste the chocolate from her lips.

Just like the stars shined in the shy, he started to shine in her heart. That was the first time sonakshi felt like she received the best birthday gift.
