Chapter 2

(DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to make teenagers in general look bad, I just couldn't think of a better way to do this without being offensive.)

At the store-

"Why are we here again?" Wheeljack huffed, following Ratchet into the store.

Ratchet grabbed a basket and hung it on the crook of his arm, pulling Wheeljack along with the other. "I have a surprise for you." He smiled, stepping off to the side.

Wheeljack tilted his head and scratched his chin in confusion. "What surprise? It better not be medicine again..." he sighed, remembering how Ratchet dragged him to the pharmacy to get medicine for his wounds that he insisted were okay.

"No, silly. We're going to make cookies!" Ratchet laughed, booping Wheeljack on the nose with his finger and walking away.

"Sweet!" Wheeljack exclaimed, quickly jogging after Ratchet.

The first thing they were introduced to when they became humans was cookies, and they absolutely loved them. Ratchet learned how to make them just for Wheeljack.

As they looked for the ingredients in the baking aisle, a group of teenagers passed by. They snickered as they saw Wheeljack wrap an arm around Ratchet's shoulders and kiss him on the cheek.

"Hey weirdos! Are you two gay or what?" One of the teenagers teased, laughing loudly.

Wheeljack simply glanced at them and smiled brightly. "Well of course we are! Thanks for noticing!" Once he looked away, he rolled his eyes in disgust and continued looking for chocolate chips.

The teenagers scoffed, wanting a better reaction than that. But they didn't get anything more than just a death glare from Ratchet, which drove them away.

"Kids these days, ugh.." Ratchet grumbled, tossing a pack of brown sugar in the basket.

"Yeah I know, took everything I had not to go over there and punch their faces in." Wheeljack chuckled, rubbing the back of his head.

"Well I'm glad you controlled yourself because there was no way I was going to be able to explain that to the officials." Ratchet sighed.

Once they had gotten all the ingredients, they made their way towards the checkout. Ratchet pulled out a wad of cash from his back pocket and gave it to the cashier, who accepted it and bagged their groceries.

Now it was time for the walk back home. They didn't live far from the store, so they usually walked there almost every day. They were still getting used to the fact that they couldn't just change into a car and drive everywhere.

-Home base, 10 minutes later-

"Wheeljack! For the thousandth time, raw cookie dough can give you salmonella! I will not allow you to eat it!" Ratchet scolded Wheeljack, fighting him off while simultaneously trying to read the directions.

Ratchet shoved his palm against Wheeljack's forehead, holding him back while he tried to push forward.

"Aww c'mon Ratch! I saw Miko do it and she didn't get sick!" Wheeljack whined, trying to reach for the bowl.

"She didn't get sick because she's used to it! Now quit your whining and wait!"

Wheeljack smirked, thinking of an idea. He bent his head backwards so his mouth could reach Ratchet's hand and he licked it, forcing him to let go.

"Ew! Did you just lick me?!" Ratchet shouted, grossed out by what Wheeljack did.

"Yup! And it was totally worth it!" Wheeljack laughed, quickly taking a spoonful of the cookie dough and running for his life.

"Hey! Come back here!" Ratchet yelled angrily, running after him.

As he ran by the couch, Ratchet tackled him onto it. He began wrestling with him for the spoon, each grabbing and poking each other.

Ratchet eventually got tired and slumped down on top of Wheeljack in an awkward position. "You... are... so... stubborn!" He said, still trying to catch his breath.

"I know, that's why you love me." Wheeljack said with a cheeky smile, shoving the cookie dough in his mouth as a victory prize. "You're pretty heavy, you know that?"

Ratchet sighed, giving a half smile before resting his head on Wheeljack's chest. He could hear his heart beating and it soothes him, almost putting him to sleep. "Yep, and I have no intentions of getting up."

"But what about the cookies?"

Ratchet groaned, forgetting about the dough sitting on the counter. He really wanted to stay there and cuddle, but he couldn't just leave the dough sitting out. "Scrap, I forgot. I'll finish them and put em' in the oven, you stay right here." He huffed, pushing himself upright and walking back to the kitchen.

Wheeljack smiled, propping his head up on a pillow and watching as Ratchet dropped the dough onto the cookie sheet. He opened the warm oven, sliding the sheet in and setting the correct amount of time so that they didn't burn. Once that was done, Ratchet trudged back over to the couch and flopped back on top of Wheeljack.

"Oof! If you did that again, you'd probably break a rib!" Wheeljack joked, getting comfortable.

Ratchet rolled his eyes, nestling his head under Wheeljack's chin and wrapping his arms around his neck. He sighed softly, closing his eyes. "You make a pretty comfortable pillow." He mumbled, gently stroking the soft shirt that Wheeljack was wearing.

"Really? I thought you said I was as hard as a rock." Wheeljack snickered, ruffling Ratchet's white and orange hair affectionately. He adjusted the pillow behind his head and sighed, staring up at the ceiling.

"Yeah, when you're all tensed up. If you let your muscles relax, you become much softer." Ratchet smiled a bit, feeling his legs becoming entangled with Wheeljack's.

"Wanna see if there's anything on tv? That'll pass some time while we wait for the cookies." Wheeljack suggested, reaching for the remote on the nearby table.

"Sure.." Ratchet mumbled quietly, half asleep. He snuggled up against Wheeljack and turned his head to the other side so he could see the tv.

Wheeljack clicked through the channels until he found Mythbusters, which was their favorite show to watch together. He craned his neck forward and kissed Ratchet on the head, draping his arm across his back and rubbing it slowly.

They watched Mythbusters until the oven beeped, showing that the cookies were ready to be taken out. Since the other members of Team Prime were out somewhere else, they had the cookies to themselves for now.
