With utter sadness cloaked in her eyes, Klein looked at her school ID and the course that was written there. Just to stare at the words Medical Biology is enough to make tears well up in the corner of her eyes. She couldn't believe that she was about to spend four years of her life doing something that she doesn't want to do.

"Okay ka lang?" Tanong ni Finn nang tabihan niya ang kaibigan sa counter. Agad namang ibinalik ni Klein ang ID niya sa kanyang bag at itinago ito.

"Yeah," Klein replied.

"You're on your third bottle. That doesn't seem okay to me." Sabi naman ni Finn.

"Mind telling me what happened?" Tanong niya pero nanatiling tahimik si Klein. Kinuha niya ang shot glass mula sa bar counter at agad na ininom ang laman nito.

She sighed, "It's about college."

"Of course it is. It's everyone's dilemma. College starts tomorrow and I myself can't figure out I'm gonna do or who I wanna be." Finn said and chuckled.

"I just hate it that I'm forced to take a course that I'm not interested in."

"It's medicine, right?" He asked and Klein nodded defeatedly as a reply.

"Well, I can't blame your surgeon dad and neurologist mom," He said and chuckled.

"It gets worse when your brothers are all doctors."

"I just want to move out and be what I wanna be."

"Like what?"

She sighed, "Like an artist." She said before finishing another two shots.

"It won't work out, Klein."

"Why? Is it because you think I'm not talented enough?"

He chuckled, "No, I think you're very smart and talented, Klein. If it weren't for the obstacles that hold you down, you can be the female Picasso." He said and Klein giggled softly in return.

"But it's your mom and dad. They're the problem." He said and Klein drank another shot of tequilla at his remark.

An hour later, Finn left his seat to dance and meet other people while Klein is left in her seat, mumbling all the bad words that has ever existed. It was only then that she realized that she's actually as talented in bad mouthing people as she is in drawing.

"A glass of martini please." Someone said.

Klein stopped to notice a guy sitting next to her. His pleasant fragrance makes it inevitable not to notice him. Klein looked around to see if the seats are occupied but every seat except hers and the guy's are empty.

She put her hand under her chin as she stared at him. The attraction was there. He was handsome, fit, and he smelled good.

She smiled, "Hi, I'm Klein." She said before offering her hand.

When he faced her, Klein flashed a huge smile. It wasn't a false assumption. Hindi talaga siya nagkamali. He looked undeniably handsome and she's determined to shoot her shot.

"I'm Reign." Pagpapakilala naman niya.

She smiled. It was only when she moved closer to him that she realized how much more handsome he actually is. He had the most beautiful pair of brown eyes she had ever seen. His pointed nose and half-dome cheekbones sat above an oaken jaw. He had full lips that looks sexier when he form a grin.

"Aw, that's cute. Bagay tayo. Klein and Reign." She said, giggling softly. Then she continued, "I wonder if we're cuter together more than how cute our names are."

He grinned, "Are you flirting with me?"

"What do you think?" She asked.

"I'd be thrilled to date you but..."

"But?"

"I'd prefer it if you aren't drunk."

"Hindi ako lasing." Matigas niyang sabi.

He chuckled softly, "Oh yeah?"

"Tsaka mo na 'ko tanungin pag hindi ka na lasing."

"Eh bakit hindi ikaw ang mag tanong sakin?" Tanong niya.

"Hindi mo ba 'ko type?" Klein asked to which Reign replied with a faint smile.

He chuckled before grabbing his shot glass and finishing the shot. For him, she is so attractive and sophisticated. He was charmed with her. She wore a peach satin strass dress that shapes her figure perfectly. She had heart-shaped lips glazed in crimson red lipstick. She smelled like vanilla and she was beautiful. 

She's exactly everything that he wants.

"Just so you know, you're exactly my type." Klein said. Then she took another glass of tequilla before saying, "You know that? I'm actually thinking of moving out of my parent's house."

Reign looked at her as he anticipated what she'll say next.

"And if I do, I'd move out and live with you." She said which almost made him choke on his drink.

"But we just met." He said.

"So? My dad and mom met in a cruise and decided to date then. They're married for twenty years."

"But we're not your mom and dad."

"But we can be like them."

Reign smiled as he shook his head before finishing another shot of martini.

"Lasing ka na." Sabi niya kaya naman napakunot ang noo ni Klein.

"Excuse me?" She asked, brushing his hand away when he tried to catch her from falling from her seat.

"I'm not drunk, Mr. Reign."

"Do you have a friend with you who can take you home?"

"Bakit hindi mo na lang iuwi sa iyo?" She asked while looking at him and Reign was obviously taken aback at how close her face is to him.

He looked away to see her purse on the bar counter.

"Is this yours?" Tanong niya.

"Do you mind if I check your address and drive you home?"

Klein scoffed before snatching the purse from him.

"I'm drinking a few more. You can leave if you want." She said, obviously frustrated that he doesn't look as interested as he is to her.

Despite the fact that he was pushed away, Reign decided to sit down and drink with her. Aside from he wants to spend more time with her, he's worried that some guy might bother and take advantage of her knowing that she's already drunk.

"You know what?" Klein asked after a moment of silence.

"What?"

"I have six brothers."

"Really?"

"Yeah, and all of them are freaking doctors. Dad is a surgeon and mom is a neurologist."

"Wow, that's impressive."

"Of course it is. But it's not what I want." Nag-tatampo niyang sabi kaya naman napatingin si Reign sa kanya.

"They're forcing me to be a doctor. But they don't understand that it's not just what I dreamed to be and to make it worse, they don't ask me what I want at all."

"Ano bang gusto mo?"

"Maliban sayo?" Tanong niya kaya naman bahagyang natawa si Reign.

"Did someone ever tell you that you're so talented at flirting?"

She smiled, "Why? Is my flirting technique working on you?" She asked and Reign looked away. His racing heartbeat tells him that yes, it is effective and it's definitely working on him.

"But seriously though, I like to paint and draw." She said.

"Really?" He asked as he looked at her.

"I want to have my own museum with all of my works displayed on its wall." Nakangiti niyang sabi. At hindi naman mapigilan ni Reign na mapangiti rin habang nakatitig sa kanya.

"I was four when I first touched a paint brush and you know what my first artwork is?"

"What was it?"

"It was only a sloppy yellowed heart but I felt so happy." She said and smiled.

"I can never be as happy as I am whenever I touch a paint brush or a pen and there's nothing that I picture myself achieving except for having my own museum and at the same time, having you." She said and Reign chuckled softly as a reply.

"You really are something, Ms. Klein. You can get a Bachelor's degree just by your pickup lines."

She smiled as she turned her entire body towards him.

"Is it working?" She asked.

"You're ridiculous..." then he muttered, "Of course, it is. You've been working your way to my heart since you talked to me." He said which she didn't catch.

"What was that?"

He smiled, "Nothing." He said which Klein decided to shrug off and ignore.

"What about you, Reign? What makes you happy?" She asked before looking at him.

"Rain," He waid which made her raised an eyebrow.

"Your name makes you happy?" Tanong niya kaya naman natawa ito.

"Ang ibig kong sabihin ay ulan."

"Ulan? Paano ka naman napapasaya ng ulan?"

"Well, all the happiest memories that I had happen every time it rains."

"Really? That's interesting."

"Really,"

"Even my mom gave birth to me while it was raining."

"Wow, that's so cute. Is that how you got your name?"

He smiled, "Yeah,"

That then, Finn came back to where Klein is when he noticed her talking to someone. He immediately stopped to see her giggling and laughing with some guy. He took a picture of them before leaving the two alone, making sure that he doesn't fuck up with his best friend's on going love story.

Two hours later, Finn came back to the bar counter again but Klein and the guy has left already. After texting Klein's brother about her being on the way home, Finn decided to get back on the dance floor and break his sweat dancing.

"Klein, ihahatid na kita." Sabi ni Reign nang makalabas sila sa club.

"I'm okay." She assures him but not when she suddenly stumbled and broke her heels. With his fast reflexes, Reign caught her by the arm before she could fall.

He can't help but stare at her eyes and lips. It was so soft and alluring as if it was begging to be kissed.

"Sorry about that." Klein said, giggling as she moved away from him. He cleared his throat and looked away, stopping himself from completely kissing her.

When they arrived at the parking lot, they stopped at where Reign's car was parked. It was obvious that both of them seemed hesitant to leave and part ways.

"Klein, hatid na kita pauwi." Giit niya

"Hindi na. Okay nga lang ako."

"I'm not assured. You can't even walk properly." Sabi niya kaya naman napangiti si Klein.

"Wait, are you worried about me?"

"Of course, I am. I'm the last person that you're with so if anything happens, I'll be responsible for it."

"Why don't you just take responsibility of me for the rest of my life?"

"Sure, if we meet again." He said and Klein flashed a smile as a reply.

"Actually, I don't wanna go home yet." Sabi niya naman.

"What do you wanna do then?" He asked.

"Let's grab a cup of coffee."

He nodded, "Yeah, let's sober up with that. Where do you wanna go?"

"Hmm, starbucks?"

"Actually, there are no coffee shops in the area."

"What? But I want coffee." She said, getting sulky.

Reign chuckled softly, enamoured by her.

"I don't wanna brag but just so you know, I can actually make a good cup of coffee."

"That sounds intriguing. I'd like a cup of French vanilla latte, please." She said and Reign chuckled in return.

He opened the door to the passenger seat and said, "After you,"

Klein smiled before hopping in his car. Reign closed the door gently before getting in the driver's seat. When he did, he looked at her.

"Can I open the windows? I feel hot." Klein said.

He faintly smiled, "Yeah, go ahead." He said despite hating open windows while driving.

While they were driving to Reign's place, Klein received a call from Finn to which she answered right away.

"Did you get home?" He asked when the call was answered.

She bit her lower lip and said, "Yeah, I'm on my way." She lied.

"You should've given me a heads up. I would've drove you home."

"I'm fine."

"I'll just see you tomorrow at school then."

"Yeah, I'll see you." She said before ending the call. When she did, she looked at Reign who was already looking at her.

"A boyfriend?" He asked.

She laughed, "No, it's just my friend." Reign nodded in return. He was glad enough that he's not wrecking someone's relationship for he knew that he'll do anything for the girl on his passenger seat. Yes, even if that means stealing her away. 

It was a half an hour drive to Reign's place. When they stopped, Klein noticed that they came to a famous apartment building called Prime Heights.

"This is where you live?" She asked when they got off the car.

"Yes, on the top and the highest floor." He said with a smile on his face.

"Let's go." Yaya niya kaya naman agad na sumunod si Klein sa kanya. 

Pagdating sa 63rd floor ay naglakad si Reign papunta sa pinakadulong apartment unit mula sa kanan. 

"Come in. Make yourself feel at home." He said when he opened the door.

They made their way to the living room where Reign invited her to sit on the couch as he make her a drink. When he got to the kitchen, he rolled up his sleeves up to his arm before he brewed a pack of coffee. 

While waiting for him, Klein was looking around his place. It was a simple studio but the interior design was very articulate that Klein could tell what his personality was just by looking at his place. She stood up and approached the full sized windows to notice how raindrops suddenly started pouring. 

"Do you live alone?" She asked when Reign got out of the kitchen. She noticed him instantly by his reflection on the window.

"Yeah, I do." He replied as he served the drink that he made for her on the coffee table.

Klein flashed a grin to see how good he looked with the sleeves of his shirt rolled up to his elbows. His veiny arms were attractive but except for it, he had broad shoulders and chiseled chest.

"Enjoy your drink." He said as he sat on the couch. Klein smiled as she sat across from him.

"Thanks, Mr?" 

He grinned before he took a sip of his drink. He put his cup down before staring at her.

"Stellars," 

"Reign Stellars?" She asked to which he replied with a nod.

"That's a cool name." Sambit ni Klein. 

He stared at her as she took a sip of her drink. He has never been more focused in his life than he is now, as he waits for her reaction.

She smiled, licking the vanilla syrup that left her lips when she took a sip.

"It's amazing. I love it." She said which brought a smile to his face.

A sip of a good french vanilla coffee must have made her come back to her senses for a bit but an eye contact with Reign just makes her more drunk that sobering up is impossible when you're sitting across from him.

She looked away and stood up to recuperate from her fantasies of him. But then Reign stood up and stood next to her.

"Are you okay?" He asked. 

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"It just looks like you have a lot in your mind right now. Or is it just the alcohol?" He asked.

Klein turned to face him, and she locked her gaze on his as he stood there watching the rain fall.

"I didn't even realize that it's raining." Bulong niya.

"I think it's you." Sabi ni Klein kaya naman napatingin si Reign sa kanya.

"Hmm?"

"It's true that I have a lot in my mind right now and yeah, I think it's you."

He chuckled, "So you're not done with your pickup lines? I guess you can do that all night."

"Reign," Seryosong tawag niya kaya naman natigilan si Reign. He was taken aback by how serious she looked and by how she called his name.

"How about you add this night to one of your happiest memories?" She asked and before he can even asked her what she meant, Klein approached him and kissed him on the lips.
