Permission (Kirstie)
Does anyone have any requests? I'm open to anything!
I love you all, my darlings!
Being a sibling was hard, especially if you were the younger one. What made it even worse was having an older sibling that was overprotective, sometimes more than your own parents. That's the situation you were in. Your older sister, Kirstie, was horribly protective. Sure, she was fun and sweet and very loving, but when it came to your safety and happiness, Kirstie transformed from a kitten to a puma.
The two of you were in high school together. Kirstie was two years older, so while you were nothing but a sophomore, she was a senior. The school was hers to control, and as her last year, she was going to make sure she enjoyed it. And you wanted her to enjoy it as much as possible. That meant parties. Lots and lots of parties.
You gathered her two closest friends, Mitch and Scott, and managed to find a weekend when your mom would be away for work. The three of you planned a secret surprise party for no other reason than to get Kirstie's school friends together for a memorable moment.
Finally, after quite a bit of hushed planning, the time for the party arrived. Kirstie was floored, and you glowed happily under her praise. But, as the night progressed, so did the problems, primarily alcohol. You had explicitly told those you invited not to bring any, for legal measures of course, but there was apparently someone who hadn't listened. And so alcohol was being passed around freely.
You grabbed a cup because, why the hell not? You reasoned you had been behaving well enough in the past and you kept your grades up in school. It was about time you indulged yourself, let loose, and enjoy being young and in the moment.
Kirstie had another idea. "What are you doing? Is that alcohol?"
The nice buzz you had going pushed you to be sassy. "I'm sure there's some in here, somewhere. Why? Want some?"
"No. You can't have that, Y/N."
"Didn't realize I needed your permission. When did you turn into Mom?"
She took your cup and poured the liquid down the sink. You pouted but offered no more rebuttal. "You're going to stay near me for the rest of the night, okay? I don't know how strong that drink was, and I don't want you to pass out or get alcohol poisoning."
You sighed. "Okay, Mom."
Kirstie lightly hit your shoulder before the two of you rejoined the party. It didn't last much longer, but the headache you had later that morning did. At least Kirstie had a good time, protective nature and all.
