The three boys fly in a craft Nine built to the coastline. As it descends slowly into the jungle it blows dust and dirt everywhere, once it's landed Nine pops the cockpit and all 3 of them jump out as the engines slowly power down. Tails turns on the scanner and spins around for a second until he finally sees which direction they need to go in.

"This way!" Tails says as he walks through a bush, Sonic and Nine follow behind him.

Sonic and Nine hold onto each others shoulders so Sonic can help the injured fox boy along.

They walk for hours and hours through the Baronoa Forest, passed lucious locks of grass and trees in the most pristine condition possible, over a deep revine, through the plains until they eventually reach the Alturia Coast.

When they get there they stop and Tails takes a moment to admire the view of the ocean in front of them, he's in awe as he looks at the water ahead of him, Sonic's mouth drops when he sees the breathtaking view too, for Nine it brings back a pleasant memory of when him and the Sonic he loved came to that exact spot.

"You good Nine?"

"Yeah"

The fox is visualizating the touch of his beloved on his body, it's as if his warm body was still on his, kissing him gently and running his hands all over him.

"This is where me and him first made love..." Nine says, after a second he looks up at Sonic and then towards the ocean view again.

"Huh" Sonic goes.

Tails looks back at them for a moment and then continues along the cliffside towards a formation of rocks, they are getting closer to the gem now.

"We're almost there" Tails says as he makes his way down a rock formation.

Eventually the three of them find themselves scaling the side of the cliff, below the waves of the ocean crashed onto the rocks below, if someone fell it would be a quick, yet painful death. Nine grips Sonic tightly, he feels nauseous and jittery because of the deep drop below.

"Take it easy Nine, I got you" Sonic says.

"I know" Nine says with a weak smile.

"You're a lot stronger then you think you are I hope you know that" Sonic says grinning at him.

"Ugh, shut up" Nine says laughing weakly, he lets his head rest on Sonic's chest as the hedgehog helps him along.

Tails snarls loud enough to make Sonic notice, "What!? He's still banged up, and your did this to him!"

Tails growls again and turns around so he can keep leading them to the location of the ruby. After a bit more walking down the crumbling cliffs and the sea side, all three of them sit down to take a break. Sonic takes the opportunity to check on Nines wounds, none of which opened up but they still hurt Nine like hell.

"Gah" Nine shouts.

"Easy there"

"Take it easy!"

"My bad bro"

Sonic applies some more of the ointment to Nine's injuries and then covers his wounds back up. He looks up at Tails who's looking back out towards the ocean again, he stands up and leaves Nine to relax.

"You okay?" Sonic asks.

"Yeah" Tails responds, "I guess I really need to work on controlling myself a lot more then I thought"

"You're still feel bad for what ya did don't ya?" Sonic asks.

Tails nods, "I just felt so angry when I discovered what was happening that I couldn't-"

"Tails, in the future just think before you do. Your anger is justified but you can't use it like that" Sonic says to the fox boy putting his hand on his shoulder.

"You're right"

"Promise me you won't do something like that again" Sonic says.

Tails goes in and hugs him, resting his head on his chest, "Promise"

Sonic tries to get up so he can go check in on Nine but he feels how tight Tails is holding him, he looks down at him and sees him pouting.

"You want attention don't you" Sonic asks, as if he's reading his mind.

"Yeah" Tails says.

Sonic smirks and kisses Tails on the lips, the fox moans when he feels Sonic's lips press against his.

"Everytime I kiss you I go nuts you know that right?" Sonic says, stroking his face.

"You haven't seen crazy from me yet" Tails fires back, licking his lips.

"I'm right here" Nine says, laying against a rock with his eyes closed.

Sonic and Tails jump when they hear Nine speak and straighten themselves.

"Sorry Nine, I guess we got carried away" Sonic says scratching the back of his head.

Tails licks his face lovingly, "Hey, stop!"

Tails takes his hand and sighs, a satisfied, warm smile on his face. Sonic smiles bacl at him and then looks over towards Nine.

"Ready to keep going?" Sonic asks.

"The medicine's doing it's job so yeah"

Sonic lets go of Tails so he can help Nine walk. But Nine doesn't let him which makes Sonic flinch slightly.

"I can walk myself"

"You sure?"

"Yeah, the pain isn't so bad anymore"

"Whoa that stuff works fast"

"I invented it"

Sonic puts his hands on his hips, "I'd expect nothing less from you pal"

"Thanks... Lets get going" Nine says.

The trio continue scaling the vast sea cliff until finally they spot what looks to be the remnants of a ship, Sonic noticed it had that Eggman flare to it, when he sees it he squeezes his fist.

"Eggman" Sonic says.

"Does he exist in your world" Nine asks, curious to know what the Robotnik he knew was like compared to Mr Doctor Eggman.

"He did... I accidentally killed him in a fight" Tails responds.

Nine's gasps quietly and looks back at Tails for a split second before looking forwards again, he can feel his heartbeat jump when he hears that. He knows though judging by his most recent fight with Tails though that theres no way it was an accident.

Accidentally my ass...

"He was attacking a city so we had to go in and stop him" Sonic explains.

"What about the other members of The Chaos Council?" Nine asks.

Sonic shakes his head, "Never seen or heard of them"

"Who are The Chaos Council?" Tails asks, genuinely curious to know who this council was.

"A group of five idiots who had control over the island for a while, they also tried to conquer other universes, we managed to get rid of them and gain our independence, all thanks to Sonic and his spcial abilities" Nine explains.

"Alright!" Sonic shouts.

"Sounds like you two made a good team" Tails says.

"We did, there were a few disagreements, but we were unstoppable" Nine says.

Tails stops by a piece of the ships hull that came off and decides to check it out by scanning it with the Miles Electric.

"The same metal Eggman used for his ship the day he died" Tails says astonished with his discovery.

"Not really surprising" Sonic answers, putting his gloved hand on the cold piece if metal, "Hey Nine, what happened to The Chaos Council after you guys won?"

"No one knows, a lot of people say they vanished or that they died in the crash. Whatever the hell happened though, I just hope it keeps them from coming back... For good" Nine answers.

"How close are we Tails?" Sonic asks.

"The ruby is inside the ship" Tails answers looking upwards at the larger portion of the wrecked ship.

Nature had already done its work, the metal was rusting and it was covered in plants and vines. They find an opening to enter in the form of a giant hole in the hull, Nine uses his mechanical claws to make it bigger, he steps in and sees just how much the ships endured since then. Hanging wires, eroded and crumbling metal, holds in the hull letting sunlight peak on through, Sonic steps in behind Nine and helps Tails inside.

Sonic whistles, amazed at the condition the interior was in, "Must have been a hell of a crash landing"

"Must've been" Nine says, still in awe at destroyed vessels interior.

"Straight ahead" Tails says as he steps over a piece of metal.

Nine and Sonic follow him through the maze of metal and tangled wires. Puddles of murky water are present throughout as they traverse down a hallway, Tails stops walking when he notices a red glow in front of them. He looks bsck at Sonic and Nine. Sonic sees the glow is coming from behind a door so with all his might he pulls it open, Nine comes in to help out as well, the show of grunting and tugging eventually pulls off when they finally manage to get the heavy door open and out of the way.

"You do know I could have just used my plasma cutter right?" Tails says crossing his arms.

"What's the fun in that?" Sonic responds with a smirk, panting from exhaustion.

Nine also tired from all the pulling leans on a wall so he can recover. Sonic puts his hand on his back and gives him a thumbs up, it makes Nine smile.

Tails kicks a damaged Eggforcer to the side and comes across the ruby, it shines almost like the sun in his eyes, a bright red radiant light in the room, almost mesmerising. He picks it up and presents it to Nine and Sonic.

"I-I'ts beautiful..." Tails says.

Nine and Sonic approach from behind him.

"What do we do now?" Sonic asks Nine.

Suddenly the ruby begins to glow brighter and brighter, almost blinding the three boys. Sonic covers his eyes, Nine does too, Tails looks away and grunts.

"Sonic whats happening!" Tails shouts.

"I don't know! Tails your gonna be okay just give it to me-" Sonic shouts back, extending his hand to Tails so he can try and give him the ruby.

Eventually they're unable to see anything... When the light is gone, everything is dark, quiet, it feels cold, damp and Tails'eyes sting like hell. When he finally manages to open his eyes it looks as if he's in an empty void, nothing but red sky and dark grey clouds. It feels like he's standing in a large shallow ocean so he stands up and wipes his eyes, the light from the red sky makes his fur appear blood orange, behind him Sonic and Nine are also coming around.

"Ngh, my head" Nine grunts.

"That's a sonic boom of a headache... Guh, I can barely stand" Sonic moans as he tries to rise.

When Tails' vision clears, the fox boy is somewhat dreadful of what he's seeing.

"Where are we" Tails asks.

Sonic and Nine's vision starts to clear up and they too are somewhat shaken by their surroundings. There wasn't a tree, rock, mountain or hill in sight, just a shallow ocean and it seemed to stretch miles and miles.

"I think it teleported us here. This must be a separate dimension of some sort" Nine explains.

"Incorrect mortal" A deep distorted voice says.

Everyone jumps, heads snapping around in all directions trying to find the origin of the voice.

"W-Who said that? Show yourself!" Tails shouts.

Another blast of almost blinding bright light flashes the three of them, they cover their eyes until the light dies down. When they unshield their eyes infront of them is what looked to be a tanuki with a large gold earing on her left ear, ancient clothing and hands glowing like they were on fire. To top her look off, her pupils looked like hearts and there seemed to be a red glow outlining them.

"W-Who are you?" Nine asks right off the bat.

"I am Lumios, the eternal god of lust!" The distorted voice bellows, "What do you seek mortal?"

The three look at each other and then back at the tanuki floating there in front of them.

"We came to ask you if you have any idea who murdered my Sonic. Do you know who the killer is? Because he used the Ruby of Lust on his world to summon you..." Nine explains.

"You seek vengeance for the one who took your love?" Lumios asks, confirming his question.

Lumios floats down, touching down in the shallow creek so they can walk up to Nine, they run their hands all over him as Nine does his best to stay still and stay calm. Sonic and Tails look at each other then back at Lumios who finally stops caressing him and firmly places their wrapped hands on his shoulders.

"I am aware of who you speak of... And I do not know their current whereabouts because they are no longer in possession of their ruby"

Nine's head hangs low as squeezes his fists in frustration.

"We tried Nine" Sonic says.

"Now that you're here and bought up the subject however..." Lumios says.

Nine picks his head back up, Sonic raises an eyebrow.

"...Storytime" Lumios says with a lick of their lips.

With a snap of the fingers and s brief flash of light, they are transported to The Green Hill Zone. Sonic and Tails are surprised when they see this happen, Nine, unfamiliar with what he's seeing is mesmorised by the lush green plants and jungle.

"Is this-" Sonic starts.

"The origin universe in which the Tails you speak of comes from" Lumios says, looking at them for a brief moment and then the cliff side where a familiar blue blur is zooming along the coastline and into the woods.

"Thats me-" Sonic says, watching his doppelganger run through the woods.

"Woohoo!" He shouts as he zooms through passed the trees and towards the mountains.

He hears shouting and grunting so he immediately pulls the brakes and looks around to see where the noise is coming from.

"Come on nerd fight back!" A voice shouts, laughter follows as the sound screaming returns.

he finally notices a pair of heads poking out from behind the brush. He dashes over and what he sees alarms him, laying on the ground huddled into a ball is Tails and it looks like he's protecting something. One of the bullets kicks the poor fox and the other jabs him with a stick.

"Come on freak show us what you got over there!"

"Or are you scared we'll just take it from you! You fucking freak show!"

They continue to stab Tails with the stick and beat him, and all Tails can do is sob and scream.

While they watch, Sonic notices Tails is in discomfort so he brings him close, because after all watching yourself get beaten up isn't exactly a fun thing.

~

Seeing this makes Sonic angry so he finally has enough and runs in front of Tails, towering over the bullies who were tormenting the poor fox.

"Get lost" Sonic says.

"Or what?! You'll beat us?!" One of them arrogantly shouts.

Sonic throws a left hook at his face and it sends the kid tumbling backwards into a tree, the other bully stands there shaking in fear as he looks at Sonic's rage filled eyes.

"You wanna be next?! Get lost! And leave him alone!"

"Man, screw this let's get outta here!" One of them shouts as they run off into the woods.

When they're gone the hedgehog looks down at Tails who's peaking up at him. Sonic gives him a smile and extends his hand out to help the poor boy up to his feet. Tails however is reluctant to take his hand.

"I'm not gonna bite you, come on let's get you fixed up" Sonic says still smiling at him.

The fox debates for a second, but then he finally takes Sonic by the hand and he helps him up. He shouts and covers his side, Sonic sits him down on a nearby rock and sees his waist is bruised heavily, it twists his heart to see how badly he's hurt, Tails whimpers in pain as Sonic pours some water on his wounds and then covers them up.

While he's bandaging up his wounds he notices something off about his tail so he pulls it to the side and sees he has two. Seeing Sonic has discovered his abnormality, Tails panics and steps back from Sonic shaking intensely.

"Okay..." He says, shocked by his reaction.

Sonic raises his hands up in the air and slowly approaches Tails, eyes tearing up he braces for Sonic to attack him verbally... Instead the hedgehog wraps his arms around him and hugs him tightly.

"I don't care if you're different... You should be proud of who you are. Trust me I know" Sonic says.

Tails finally lets himself fall apart in Sonic's arms, crying and wailing loudly. Sonic stays there the entire time, listening to him ball his eyes out while rubbing his back.

"I gotcha buddy... It's gonna be okay" Sonic says.

While Tails watches himself cry in the other Sonic's arms, tears flow down his eyes. Sonic wipes his face and kisses him on the forehead.

"You went through that too?" Sonic asks.

Tails nods.

"I-I'm sorry I wasn't there" Sonic says.

"I'm just glad I still met you" Tails answers, wiping his eyes.

Tails, once he calmed down, sat with Sonic and presented his invention to him... A miniature water sprinkler. Sonic was impressed with it and at one point, to make Tails laugh, tried to drink from it, to which it did cheer him up. After spending the whole evening with the lonesome little Tails he stood up and looked back at Tails who was sleeping on a pile of leaves, it made Sonic frown so he runs off rips a giant leaf off a tree and come back so he can cover his new friend with it.

"Sleep tight buddy" Sonic says.

He stands up and gets ready to run off, but something stops him from doing so... A hand.

Tails looks up at him with worried eyes.

"F-Friend?" He says weakly.

Sonic at that point sees leaving him would be a bad idea so he sighs and sits down with him.

"Friend" Sonic says with a smile, he takes the hand Tails used to grab his leg and holds it firmly.

He decides to build his own bed of leaves and he sleeps right next to Tails which makes the fox smile.

Nine can feel his heart melting as he watches Sonic comfort Tails throughout the night, he wipes his face and takes a shaky breath.

~

When morning comes around, Sonic sits up and yawns, dusting the leaves out of his spikes and stretching his arms and legs. He sees Tails is holding on to him drooling like a wild animal.

"Ew" Sonic grumbles, he gently moves Tails head onto his leaf bed and wipes the saliva off his chest.

Tails squints his eyes and then sits up so he can greet his new friend, he smiles at Sonic warmly and gives him a tight squeeze.

"Ah boy" Sonic says, visibily uncomfortable with the hug.

After a moment Tails lets go, Sonic stands up and gets ready to run.

"Hey bro, it was great helping you out for the night, but I gotta go... There's some stuff I gotta go do" Sonic explains.

Tails frowns and his ears hang low when he hears Sonic has to go, feeling crushed that he couldn't stay.

"I had fun though, I'll admit that much" Sonic adds.

He gets into a pose and salutes Tails.

"See ya whenever" Sonic says.

With that he takes off into the woods and back towards the coastline. Arriving at a red biplane parked near the water, he gets in and tries to turn over the engine, but it doesn't start.

"Oh not again" He moans.

He gets out of the plane and opens the engine compartment. He can't tell what's wrong so he lets his head fall onto the chassis and he moans in frustration.

A pair of hands reach into the engine compartment and play around with the wires, Sonic notices and turns to see who it is and low and behold it's Tails. The hedgehog wants to make him stop, but he figures if he could build a sprinkler he could probably fix his problematic plane.

After about ten minutes, Tails steps back and gives Sonic a thumbs up.

Sonic jumps in and starts the engine again and to his amazement it works, he celebrates loudly. He looks down at the little fox and pats his head gently.

"You're amazing you know that?" Sonic says.

Tails scratches the back of his head and looks away bashfully. Sonic stops celebrating afor a second when he realises why Tails fixed the plane.

"You want me to take you with you don't you?" Sonic asks, crossing his arms.

Tails gulps and steps to the side revealing a bag full of his things. Sonic starts laughing which makes Tails look down at the ground in shame.

"Get in!"

Tails gasps and looks up at him so he could confirm what Sonic said to him.

"Want me to say it again? Hop in!" Sonic says.

A tear of happiness flows down his face as he hugs Sonic tightly, his two tails swooshing around with excitement, he hugs him back but Sonic realises he's slowly being lifted off the ground so he panics a little.

"W-Whoa! Who turned off the gravity!" Sonic shouts.

Tails notices what he's done and stops his tails from swinging around, dropping him and Sonic into the sand. There's a moment of silence between the two and then Sonic starts laughing his butt off, the fox boy, still feeling awkward about it,follows along with him slowly.

Sonic scoops him up in his arms, "See what I mean, you're amazing!"

Tails can feel his heart warm up when Sonic says that to him so he rests his head on his shoulder and sighs.

"I'm glad I met you"

"Brother!" Tails says excitedly.

"Yeah, I know... Little bro" Sonic says as he carries him and his bag to the plane.

~

"That was-" Sonic starts.

"How they met... Yes" Lumios answers, finishing Sonic's sentence.

"Why was I speaking like a caveman" Tails asks.

"In that world, you never learned how to speak before hand because of the abuse you received while living in that village" Lumios answers.

There's another brief flash of light and now this time, it's a city scape, sprawling buildings everywhere the eye could see and a large space ship on fire in the center of it.

3 years later | Station Square

"That was fun!" Tails shouts jumping up in the air like an overexcited child.

"What can I say, Eggman's really easy to defeat" Sonic says, hand behind his head.

"That laser he had would have been a lot more stronger if he had more ion charge to power it, imagine the damage he could have done with that, or maybe with a klayex power booster-" Tails says.

"Hey! Don't give the doctor any ideas now pal" Sonic says.

"Sorry, when I see giant machines like that I get excited, you know me!" Tails says, scratching the back of his head.

"At least Station Square isn't ash, that's what matters"

"Yeah, it would have been bad if we didn't step in huh"

There's a moment of silence between the two as they walk into an apartment building.

"Heya Sonic" Someone says as they come out of the building.

"Hey Brad" Sonic says waving at him.

"Yo Sonic, wanna copy of my mixtape?" A teenager asks.

"Can't wait to see if you improved Tyrell" Sonic says taking the CD from his hand and giving him a thumbs up.

Tyrell and his friends cheer Sonic on for taking the CD.

A middle aged woman peaks her head out of her apartment and hands Sonic a bag of cookies.

"Great job saving the city again Sonic!... And Tails!"

"Thanks for the Cookies Gwen!" Sonic says as him and Tails go into the elevator.

When the doors close Sonic takes some cookies out of the bag and eats them, he moans loving the taste of them, he hands some to Tails and gobbles down the rest, Tails crosses his arms and grumbles giving him a look of disapproval.

"What? You can always ask her for more!"

"Hmph" Tails goes looking away from him.

Sonic feeling defeated, sighs.

The elevator doors open and Sonic and Tails arrive at their apartment building, the first thing Sonic does when he gets inside is pop Tyrell's mixtape into the CD player so he can listen to the music, he bops his head to the song as he lip syncs with the lyrics. Tails really understands why he liked hip hop but he wasn't going to judge him.

He takes his phone out from his utility belt and sees Gwen sent him a text.

The fox boy can feel his face warn up but he knows what he's got to do, what Gwen's refering to.

"Hey Sonic..."

Sonic hears Tails and pauses the track so he can turn around and listen to his friend.

"What's up" Sonic says

Tails pokes his fingers together and takes a deep breath, "Today's the day I met you... 3 years ago today"

"Oh crap, I totally forgot! I'm sorry Tails-"

"No, it's okay... There's something I've always wanted to ask you and it's something I've wanted to ask for a while but never gotten the chance to, a feeling deep in my chest that I was never sure I had. You make me happy, really happy, and I want to keep living with you and seeing the world with you, growing stronger and learning more about everything. I want to be by your side all the time-"

"Tails your killing me here-" Sonic says, smiling at him.

"...I love you" Tails blurts out.

Sonic freezes, and takes a moment to process what he just heard, there's a blank expression on his face, "Say what now"

"I like you Sonic... Like... Romantically" Tails says, looking down at the floor, blushing wildly.

Sonic is evidently in shock because he's still standing there trying to process what is happening to him. He sits down on the couch and puts his hand on his chest, his heart beats fast but he can tell it's beating faster then usual.

"I guess it was a bad idea to do this I'm sorry Son-"

Sonic suddenly gets up and kisses Tails aggressively on the mouth, tasting the fox's mouth bought him a satisfying amount of pleasure.

"You have no idea how long I've been waiting for you to say that" Sonic says, stroking his face.

"How do you wanna celebrate?" Tails says touching noses with him.

"Let's tell the team, they can be the first ones to know I guess. Where do you wanna do for dinner?" Sonic asks, he moves over to his neck so he can bite it.

"I know a place" Tails says, licking his face.

Tails smiles and pulls him back in so he can kiss him again. Sonic lifts him up and drops him on the couch so he can make love to him.

"They look so happy... What went wrong?" Sonic asks, genuinely curious as to why such a wholesome relationship died.

"Fate" Lumios answers.

Tails and Sonic take eachothers hands as they prepare themselves for what's next.

2 years later | What used to be Station Square...

Fire, debris, crumbling buildings and bodies. It's all Tails can see as he desperately searches for Sonic so he could get him out of this nightmare.

~

The boys notice something on the fox's finger... A wedding ring with a blue shining sapphire on it.

"They got married... Damn..." Sonic says.

~

"Sonic!" Tails shouts, holding his arm.

He sees Blaze's corpse under a piece of rubble and goes in to try and save her.

"No..." He says squeezing her, "I'm sorry I couldn't save you..."

He goes passed Knuckles, Amy, Whisper, Tangle, Sally, Silver... Even Shadow wasn't spared and he was there laying on the ground bleeding out, it looked as if he had been hit with some sort of special weapon. Tails runs over to him desperately trying to save his comrade but Shadow doesn't let him treat him.

"Just go get that blue idiot-" He says.

"Shadow stop, if I don't carterize your wound-"

"I've been alive for almost 60 years kid... Let this go..."

"Shadow! Please-"

"Ngh... Let it go... Guh..."

With that he dies in Tails' hands, a tear flows down his face, "Damn it!"

He lays Shadow down to rest and keeps searching for his beloved Sonic. Hours of stumbling around later, Tails finally comes across Sonic who's sitting ontop of a trashed car. Tails sits next to Sonic and sees the blue hedgehog is covering a wound.

"L-Let me see" Tails says.

"Ngh" Sonic moans.

Sonic moves his shaky hand from the wound and it's worse then Tails thought, he could actually see some of Sonic's organs and the was blood gushing out of it, it makes him gasp in shock, Tails keeps his calm as he tries to save his husband.

"H-How bad i-is it" Sonic asks with a weak smirk.

"Y-You'll be okay" Tails says, trying to calm himself down.

Sonic lays back on the car and lets out a pained chuckle.

"T-Tails..."

"Yes?" He says, desperately trying to close his wounds with an invention of his.

"I love you" Sonic wheezes, he puts his blood covered hand on his companions face as his eyes grow heavy and his body goes cold.

"I love you too" Tails says through tears, he takes Sonic's hand and squeezes it, "Don't go, I can save you!"

"Chin up... Everything's gonna be..."

Sonic's hands loosen up and slide off Tails' face, the poor fox boy cannot stop shaking as he comprehends what just happened to him.

"Sonic... Wake up... Please!... Wake up!... Sonic!"

Sonic is gone, the hedgehog passing away in the arms of the fox he loved, a smile on his face.

"Sonic!" Tails shrieks, shaking him briefly.

Tails realises there's no point in trying get him to wake up, nor to try and save him. All he can do now is pick up his body in his arms and hold it tight.

"Don't go... Please... Don't leave me..." Tails says, shaking intensely.

"Shit this hits hard..." Sonic says.

"I-I can't look at this. Please, stop" Tails says, squeezing Sonic's hand tighter.

"Getting emotional now?" Lumios says, they scoff before the next flash of light shows them a small cemetery on what looks to be a mountainside, the city of Station Square being rebuilt in the background.

Whisper, one of the few survivors of Robotnik's attack, walks up behind Tails who's staring at Sonic's grave, sniffling and sobbing. She puts her bandaged up hand on Tails' shoulder and Tails turns around and hugs her tightly.

She opens her mouth to say something, but she can't find the right words to say so she closes it again and embraces Tails back. The fight had cost her Silver and Tangle, she too sheds a tear for her fallen comrades.

Following the tragic battle, and the funeral for all the members of the team who parished, Tails would shut himself in and search for Eggman, doing everything he possibly can to track him down. He wanted to do more then just take him down, he wanted his blood. Four months pass by and Tails finally finds the location of Eggman's base in the Chemical Plant Zone. Without consulting with Whisper, Cream or Kitsunami, he sets off by himself.

"Kit have you seen Tails"

The fennec fox who's standing there watching the cranes in the distance turns around when Whisper questions him.

"I haven't seen him ma'am, he's locked in his room like always I guess" Kit responds.

Whisper goes to Tails room and knocks on the door but to her shock it's open, the lights are off, the floor is covered in empty snack backs and tissues... And Tails isn't there. When she realises he's gone her eyes go wide.

"He's gone!" She shouts in panic.

Kit's ears perk up when he hears Tails is gone.

"Who's gone" Cream says coming out of her room.

"Tails! He's not here!" She says.

"Let's go find him then!" Kit shouts.

The three run out of the base, Whisper opens a little keypad on her wrist and taps a few buttons, on the screen it displays Tails' location.

"Why's he in the Chemical Plant Zo-"

Whisper can only guess one reason as to why Tails would suddenly take off to that zone of all places to go.

"He's going after Robotnik... He'll kill him!"

"Who's gonna kill who?" Cream asks, concerned about Tails' wellbeing.

"One of them will kill each other, we need to get there and we need to get there fast!" Kit responds.

"The jet! The old one in the hangar! Let's fire it up!" Whisper says running down a path, Kitsunami and Cream following behind her.

Meanwhile, Tails finally arrives outside of Robotnik's base, leaving the Tornado not far from where the base was. As he got closer to the base he saw two drones approach him.

"You are trespassing upon the property of the Eggman E-"

Tails, without even bothering to look at the machine, whips out a blaster and blasts it causing it to spin out of control and crash into a pipe.

The second one gets ready to deploy it's blasters but Tails grabs it, rips out the weapons and looks into the camera built in. Robotnik who's watching the feed can see the rage dancing in Tails'eyes and it made him somewhat concerned to see him acting like this because after all he always saw him as a week

"You took everything from me... Now, I'm going to take everything from you... And believe me, I know where to start"

Then Tails smashes the drone on the ground and stamps on it repeatedly.

Eggman in a panic turns to Orbot and Cubot who are floating behind him.

"Prepare the ship for launch, we need to get off this rock! And fast!" Eggman orders.

"Yes boss" Orbot says.

Eggman orders all the defense drones to deploy so they can take Tails down. The fox uses the Miles Electric to upload a virus to all of them permanently corrupting the drones systems and shutting them down, they all drop like rocks when the virus finally uploads and they fall to the ground smashing into pieces.

Meanwhile, the two robots fly down to the lower level of the base where there's a large rocket below with Robotnik's insignia on it, just as the two get inside of the rocket it explodes sending pieces of debris everywhere, and shaking the entire base. Eggman looks at the camera and sees Tails emerge from the flames holding Orbot and Cubots heads before discarding of them and tossing them over the balcony.

"What has gotten into him?! He's not usually like this..."

"You did kill what was essentially his entire family" One of his servants says.

"I had to destroy that hedgehog and his friends! He was a thorn in my side for too long!" Robotnik shouts.

Eggman jumps out of his chair and tries to open his escape hatch, but the door is locked.

"What?! Who locked this!"

An explosion rocks the room as Eggman freezes and turns around, Tails steps through the smoke, holding the Miles Electric. Eggman can feel his heartbeat jump in fear as Tails drops the Miles Electric on the floor and starts walking towards him, slowly taking off his gloves. He bares his teeth like a wild animal and lets his rage take over.

"W-What are you doing?! Get away from me!"

"I'm going to enjoy this... Every last bit of it..." Tails says, looking at him with cold eyes.

Tails starts to run towards him and once he's close enough he jumps high into the air, pops his claws and slashes Eggman in the face. The doctor screams in agony and fumbles around trying to get away from him, Tails swings at his stomach cutting it open. The doctor can barely stand now as he tries to crawl towards the door. The fox crushes his right ankle and that finally brings the doctor down to the floor.

"Tails! Stop! Ahhh! Please!"

"You killed everyone! You killed Sonic! Why should I spare you!" The fox screams, tears welling up in his eyes.

"I might know a way you can bring him back!" Robotnik shouts loudly shielding himself from his wrath.

Tails freezes as he prepared to take a swing at his throat so he could finally end him. The shaking doctor crawls to a drawer and gives Tails a piece of paper, Tails takes the paper and examines it.

"What the hell is this?" Tails asks.

"A map to the Ruby of Lust... Legend has it, if you find the ruby you can bring back that which you have lost. Or whatever that means"

Tails takes a minute to read the map and after he's done reading he kneels down Infront of Eggman as he grovels on the floor in total agony.

"Please Tails, bring your friends back, just leave me alone and don't kill me!"

After a moment he finally looks back down at him. It looks like Tails has calmed down and realised he had found hope, he could finally bring Sonic back, his life could return to normal, seeing that he's calmed the fox down Robotnik breaths a sigh of relief.

There's a rush of wind and sharp pain in the doctors neck, Robotnik puts his hand on his throat and sees there blood on it, his hand starts to shake as he looks up at Tails who's staring him down with cold eyes and a smirk from hell on his face.

"I have no use for you anymore... Besides, you've done enough damage" He says coldly.

"You... Little..." Robotnik gurgles.

He finally gives out and collapses onto the ground as a pools of blood forms around his head.

"What the hell..." Nine says, somewhat shocked at what he did.

Tails, visibly shaken by what he's seeing, holds Sonic tighter then ever. Sonic does his best to comfort him as he watches the doppelganger leave the base whilst holding the Miles Electric and the map to the Ruby of Lust's location after setting a bunch of bombs to explode once he's not in proximity of the explosion, Tails jumps in the tornado and cleans his hands off before starting up the plane and flying away.

Whisper and the others finally arrive at Eggman's base to see smoke and fire at the base... Then, a blinding light and a loud boom shake the entire zone as Tails flies away from Eggman's base. Whisper's heart drops when she sees the explosion, Kitsunami's mouth drops open, Cream gasps.

"We're too late..." Whisper goes.

Kit notices the Tornado flying out of the zone.

"Ma'am, I see Tails!"

Whisper's ear perks up immediately, she looks out forwards to see Tails flying off in the distance, "Follow him"

Tails and the crew behind him fly for hours until they reach a desolate island located not far from Angel Island which could be seen in the distance. Tails lands the plane on the beach and takes off into the woods towards what looked like an abandoned temple with crumbling pillars and nature taking over it's remains, a red light glowing from within its interior.

He steps in and moves in to take a closer look at it, reaching out to touch it.

"Stop!" A voice calls out.

Tails turns around and sees Whisper, Cream and Kitsunami standing there.

"Stop what?! I have a chance to bring everyone back!" Tails says.

"That gem... Tails you do not want to get yourself involved with that thing! I've heard stories about it-"

"Don't you want Tangle back?! Wasn't she your best friend?! What about Silver! The love of your life!" Tails shouts back.

Whisper falls silent.

"What about you Kit! Don't you want to work under Surge again?!"

Kitsunami whimpers when he hears that.

"And Cream, I know you miss your mother... I miss her too..."

The fox boy clutches the gem tightly as the others look on at him.

"Tails... I want them back just as bad as you do... But that gem, it can do damage... Real damage. Give it to me, we can walk out of here together-" Whisper says slowly approaching Tails.

Tails steps away from her, holding the ruby tightly.

"No! I'm going to bring Sonic back!... I'm going to bring everyone back!"

Suddenly it begins to glow brighter and brighter until they're almost blind, Whisper and the others cover their eyes while Tails gasps in surprise, completely unsure of what comes next... When the light finally dims down Whisper uncovers her eyes and sees Tails is gone, likely teleported by the ruby.

"Tails!" Cream shouts, she's in complete disbelief.

"Is there anything we can do?" Kit says after taking a moment to process what just happened.

Whisper sighs, "I don't think so... I just hope he realises his mistake"

"He wanted to revive his Sonic and thought the gem was his means to do so..." Nine says as he watches.

"What happened next?" Sonic asks.

"Patience, I'm just getting to that part" Lumios says, following that there's another flash of light and all they can see is the hellscape that they are standing in.

Laying in the dark murky water under the red sky is Tails, he moans and sits up wiping his eyes. When he sees the hellish landscape he gasps and stumbles around.

"Poor mortal, you seem to not know where you are" Lumios' distorted voice bellows.

"What is this place..." Tails asks.

"The place where the flames of your love may run free"

Lumios appears infront of Tails with a smirk on their face. Tails gulps and takes out a stun stick from his glove, pointing it at Lumions.

"A-Are you the spirit of the ruby or something?" Tails asks, shaking out of genuine fear.

"That I am, you can put the weapon down now, if I wanted to hurt you I would have done it already" Lumios' says.

Tails reluctantly shuts the weapon off and lowers it. Lumios approaches the fox and put ahand on his face, Tails shivers a little as the mysterious tanuki looks him deeper in the eyes.

"You seek to see the one you have lost. How noble" Lumios concludes, then they back away from Tails who's slightly more calm now.

"H-How did you-"

"I can make out the eyes of a lover missing the one they love, it's not difficult"

Tails looks down at the floor, "It's not just Sonic... My friends too-"

"Don't kid yourself. You only want your lover back-"

"Th-That's not true!" Tails shouts defensively.

Lumios gives him a smug grin and looks Tails dead in the eyes, "You cannot lie to an eternal god, for we know all"

Tails opens his mouth to try and make a counter argument but he freezes, realising there is no point in lying to Lumios. He missed his friends, his family... But he missed Sonic the most, he wanted to love him, hug him, love him again. He closes his mouth and collapses to his knees.

"Okay... Yeah, fine, I just want Sonic again. To feel his touch, to be able to hug him, smell him. You have no idea how much he meant to me-"

"Oh but I do" Lumios interupts.

Tails looks up at Lumios who's standing infront of him.

"And that's why I'm willing to give you absolutely anything you want"

"Then give me Sonic!" Tails pleads.

"I'm afraid I can't do that..." Lumios responds.

The fox boy's heart sinks when he hears Lumios turn him down.

"W-Why not" Tails asks, trying to control his anger.

"Reviving someone takes a lot of energy. So much energy that I may not even have enough to bring them back entirely" Lumios explains while strolling around him.

"Then what am I supposed to do?" Tails asks, a tear streaming down his face, shaking, visibly full of rage.

"I can't bring back your Sonic... But I can send you to another universe where he exists" Lumios responds.

"Y-You can do that?" Tails says, showing Lumios desperate eyes.

"I indeed can..." Lumios responds.

Tails, seeing no other choice decideds to try it out, see how it goes.

"I'll... I'll try it" Tails answers, sniffling a little.

"Splendid" Lumios responds, then with a wave of a hand, a smaller version of the ruby appears in Tails' hand.

"What's this supposed to be?"

"Consider it a gift" Lumios says with a smile.

Then a blinding flash of light Tails is sent to a new world, he wakes up in an area surrounded by green, the sounds of cicadas could be heard as he rolls onto his feet, he sees he's in a bush and decides to wiggle his way out of it, the sun is beaming down on him as he emerges from it. He's on a hill, a city in the distance as he shields his eyes from the sun.

"Yo Tails!" A familiar voice calls.

His heart skips a beat as he looks around, finally seeing Sonic standing in a tree, wearing a forest green bandana.

"S-Sonic"

Sonic jumps down and gives Tails a hug, the fox can feel his face warm up but he manages to hug Sonic back.

"I've been looking all over for you, what happened?" Sonic asks him.

"I-"

Tails wants to tell him everything, who he is, but he can't imagine this Sonic's possible response to he would tell him... So he lies.

"... Can't remember"

"I guess you need a refresher huh?" Sonic asks, crossing his arms.

"Y-Yeah, I think I hit my head" Tails says, rubbing his head as if he banged it.

"It's cool, come on... I'll take you to my place and we'll see if there's any unusual stuff going on in there" Sonic says, knocking on his own head as if it was a door.

"Y-You have medical equipment?" Tails answers astonished at what he was saying.

"Yeah... But it's technically yours so-"

"O-Oh right"

"Come on let's go home..." Sonic says, offering his hand with a warm smile on his face.

Tails reaches out and takes it without a second thought, Sonic pulls him in and hugs him tightly, following up with a kiss on the face. This seemingly random display of affection made Tails' face turn red, fireworks go off in his heart and in his face.

"Really though... You have no idea how worried I was about you"

Tails at that point can't control himself and he moves in giving Sonic a passionate kiss on the lips, Sonic wraps his arms around him and kisses him back too. The fox moans as Sonic brings him down to the ground, A big lovesick grin appears on Tails'face as he lets this alternate have his way with him.

"Fuck yeah..." He says, laughing as Sonic kisses his neck and spreads his legs.

Meanwhile, watching in the bushes with horror on his face was the actual Tails of that universe who's shaking in fear as Sonic makes love to this new one, this invading imposter.

"W-What the hell is this?"
