Tails eventually wakes up from his nap stretching and yawning loudly, he wipes his eyes and looks to Sonic's seat, the fox sees he's not there so he figures Sonic went to use the restroom. He opens his laptop and types a little bit documenting a species of tree that caught his interest.

Tails who expected Sonic to be right back in his seat began to grow uneasy after almost a few minutes of typing, so he gets up from his seat and walks up to a passenger who's sleeping and gives the woman a gentle nudge.

"Hi, you wouldn't happen to see where my friend went off to right?"

"He went towards the back I think after some little bloke in a hoodie" She answers.

His eyes swell with fear, the fox can feel tension twisting around in his chest, the feeling of worry. So he runs back to his seat grabs his bag and runs from car to car, he prayed that Sonic wasn't hurt or found out something that would end their relationship, or worse prove he's the cold blooded murderer Shadow said he was.

"Okay... Nine. It's nice to meet you, but I really gotta get back to my seat, me and um normal Tails have a festival we're going to together so if you could please pull your sharp metal claw thingy out of the door" Sonic says with a nervous grin.

"That's not happening, what I'm telling you concerns your safety" Nine responds, crossing his arms.

"Dude, what are you even trying to protect me from? Whatever it is I'm pretty sure I can handle it"

"You're opponent isn't as easy to defeat as you may think he is, he's cunning and doesn't show any remorse for what he's done... At all" Nine responds taking something from his utility belt, it's a small silver disk with a glowing blue neon material glowing in it

"Okay, who's this big bad villain then? Some nutty version of Eggman? Surge The Tennrec? Oh what about The Deadly Six?!"

"Wrong, wrong and wrong. It's that it's that "normal Tails" you've been living with for the past few years" Nine says, he presses a button on the disk and drops it on the floor, it opens a portal and in the portal to what looks like a futuristic city down below.

Sonic face palms when he finally hears Nine talk about how Tails is a murderer, "Look pal! I don't know why you think Tails is a killer but he's anything but that. Yeah, he can be a bit cold sometimes, but I've seen his soft side and when you see his soft side you'll change your mind"

Nine can feel his patience growing thin at this point, "...I have proof"

"Nine, it was great to meet you. But guess what, me and Tails are dating, I'm not going to leave him. I can't do that to him."

Nine freezes and looks up at Sonic, horrified by what he just heard, "...What?!"

"Dude, are you homophobic?"

"No! I'm not! You're dating that psychopath?! He's an interdimensional killer and you're probably his next victim!" Nine shouts.

Tails who passes by the lavatory hears Nines voice and preses his ear against the door so he can listen to what's going on in there.

"Let go of the door Nine!" Sonic says.

Nine chuckles and lets out a frustrated sigh, "Fine, If you won't go with me... I'll drag you myself"

The metal claw pulls out of the door and it strikes Sonic in the face sending him tumbling to the floor by the portal, when Tails hears Sonic's pained moans he gasps in horror and desperately tries to get the door open, but it won't budge. He pulls out his laser blaster and starts to cut a hold in it.

Sonic spin dashes into Nine pushing him backwards, the crafty fox jumps on the wall and thrusts himself at Sonic slamming his foot into his face, he strikes Sonic in the gut and slams his elbow into his back Sonic falls to the floor and immediately rolls out of the way just before Nine can attack him again.

Sonic jumps to his feet and runs into Nine throwing a blow to his face, and another, and another until he finally collapses to the floor. His head feels like it's about to come off but Nine gives Sonic a defiant glare. Sonic is about to finally finish him off with a spin dash attack when suddenly the fox presses a button on his belt and his mechanical Tails emerge and the strike Sonic causing him to fly backwards into the sink. Tails finally cuts threw the door and what he sees horrifies him, Sonic is wrapped up tightly by the metal tails, struggling like mad to get free from Nine who's panting, bruised, and even more irritable.

"What... What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Tails shouts aiming the laser blaster at Nine.

"Taking away what you took from me" Nine responds, squeezing his fist.

He jumps into the portal still holding onto Sonic, the hedgehog shouts as he falls with Nine down into the new reality.

"Tails!" Sonic screams, trying to grab Tails'hand.

"Sonic!" Tails shrieks, also trying to reach for his hand...

They miss and as a result, Sonic falls down into the interdimensional portal still shouting, Tails can feel the tears streaming down his face as he watches Sonic get smaller and smaller, he notices the portal is closing and stumbles backwards until he falls onto the floor. Eventually the gateway is closed and all Tails can do is weep and sob, squeezing his fist so tightly it's shaking.

"Sonic..." Tails sobs.

Sonic is dropped ontop of a puddle on the damp concrete, Nine lands next to him having used his twin tails to slow his decent.

"Ngh, talk about a level nine attitude, oh, and headache..." Sonic says.

Nine extends his hand towards Sonic, the hedgehog is baffled by this but takes his hand anyway, he looks around and sees nothing but futuristic technology and halograms almost everywhere. It's like a cyberpunk dystopian universe.

"W-Where are we?"

"Moon City, this place used to be New Yoke City" Nine responds.

"It's just like Nightstar City, but it feels bigger?"

"The fuck is a Nightstar City?" Nine asks.

"It's a place me and Tails visit often, it's where we shared our first moment, it's kinda like here but more neon lights and cool glowing stuff" Sonic responds, happy as he looks back on the memory of that day.

Nine grunts and starts walking down towards the street, Sonic reluctantly follows him.

"Where are we going?"

"My lab... Follow me or I'll drag you with me" Nine responds.

"O-Okay... Fine..." Sonic says, while crossing his arms.

The two walk for a significant amount of time passed bustling markets and through dark alleys until finally they arrive at an emergency access door, Nine puts in the access code for the door and opens it for Sonic.

"After you"

Sonic sighs and goes inside, Nine following behind him. When Sonic gets to the bottom of the stairs he's impressed by what he's seeing, at the far end of the room are 3 large monitors each with Nine's insignia on it, across the walls and ceiling are cables and pipes strewn about, there's a sofa and a small metal rectangular cube projecting a dancing happy little chayote dancing around excitedly, Sonic stares at it for a second as Nine comes in from behind him and closes a door.

"Quite the place you've got-" Sonic says with a nervous chuckle.

"It does the job" Nine says sitting down Infront of the computer screens and typing something.

Sonic looks to his left and on the wall is a spray painted mural of a happy fox and hedgehog enjoying each others company, Sonic is captivated by it's beauty as he slowly walks closer to it. Nine looks back over his shoulder to see Sonic looking at it, just as he was about to put his hand on it Nine snarls aggressively.

"Whoa, okay fine no touchy" Sonic says raising his hands in the air as if he's surrendering to the police.

He sighs and continues to click around on his computer for a moment. Sonic moves back from the mural and sits on the sofa.

"So uh did you make that?" Sonic asks.

Nine stops typing and his head drops a little, he turns around and faces Sonic looking into his eyes, "Yeah... But I had help"

"From who?"

"You... Well, my version of you" Nine answers.

"Sweet, he must be a really great artist"

"He's dead" Nine says, then he stands up from his seat and walks to the fridge in the other room to get some juice.

Sonic's smile disappears when he hears that, "O-Oh, I'm sorry-"

There's a bit of silence as Nine sits down next to Sonic still slurping his juice, he takes something from his pocket and hands it to Sonic, it's another metal disk with the blue glowing neon within the circuits.

"Open it" Nine says.

"What if it opens another portal or some-"

"Just open it"

Sonic takes a moment to relax himself as he prepares to open the disk, he pushes the button and a hologram appears, he sees a holographic version of Nine and the Sonic of his universe who's got these futuristic looking gloves, he's just finished typing something in the laptop when Nine come from behind him, eager to show Sonic what he's made.

"Hey Sonic, Look what I made" He says.

"What's up?"

Nine places a cube on the desk infront of the keyboard and preses a button on it, a hatch on the right end of the cube opens and a chilli dogs comes out.

"Whoa" Sonic goes he takes it and looks at Nine who nods.

Sonic takes a bite out of it and moans satisfied with the taste, "This is good! How does it work?"

"All you do if pour some water in there, select the food you want the machine to print and it'll print it for you usually within seven minutes depending on the food"

"That's awesome"

Nine smirks at Sonic, when Sonic is done eating the chilli dog, Nine climbs onto him and sits on his lap surprising Sonic.

Sonic flinches as he watches Nine stroke his Sonic's chin, Nine rubs his shoulder his face reddening a little.

"N-Nine I'm still looking to see if there are any reports of Mr. Doctor Eggman's esca-"

"Take a break, you've been at this for hours" Nine says running his hands all over Sonic's chest.

Sonic sighs and puts the mouse down, he kisses Sonic passionately, Sonic slowly moves one hand around his waist and the other onto Nine's face. Sonic grunts as Nine starts to get rough with him.

"Ngh, slow down!"

"Did you just say go slow? You're funny" Nine says.

Sonic wipes the sweat off his face as he watches Nine continue on the alternate Sonic going faster until he finally lets out a loud yelp, Nine laughs through his heavy breathing, a satisfied smirk on his face.

"You're stamina's the worst, how long was that? Two minutes?"

"Shut up, you make it feel really good and you gotta learn how to take it easy" Sonic says with a pained groan.

"If I took it easy every time we fucked each other you'd forget how capable I actually am" Nine says, then follows up his response with a kiss on Sonic's cheek.

"You're an asshole" Sonic grunts, smiling at him.

"Shut up or I'll fuck you again" Nine says resting his head on Sonic's shoulder.

Sonic messages Nine's back and looks up at the computer screen to one of the security feeds that the front door to their hideout is open, "Hey Nine"

"Yeah" The fox says with his eyes closed.

"I think someone's-"

Suddenly the door is blown open by an explosive, Nine is jolted by this and he immediately jumps off Sonic, fixing his trousers, Sonic stands up from the chair and they both run over, standing there wearing the doors once we're was what looked to be Tails but something was off about him, instead of having azure coloured eyes his were blood red glowing eyes.

"Is that you" Sonic says, horrorified by what he's seeing.

"I-I don't know" Nine stutters, concerned by what he's looking at as well.

The crimson eyed fox looks around Nine's hideout and then narrows his attention to Sonic. In a split second he unholsters his blaster and fires a bolt at Sonic's chest, it sends him backwards into a table.

"NOOO!" Nine screams.

He runs over to Sonic who's shaking, he was wheezing and drooling blood, Nine's eyes fill with tears as he watches Sonic struggle to breathe.

"Nine" Sonic says weakly.

"Sonic! I'll save you don't worry, just hang on!"

"I'm not even supposed to be in the world remember?" Sonic says weakly.

"I don't care!" Nine shouts, still fighting his tears.

He runs and grabs a medical kit from under his desk, while the red eyed fox holsters his weapon and leaves a panicking Nine behind so he can make his escape, Nine tries his best to relieve Sonic's burn wounds but he can feel the hedgehog's body getting cold, Sonic puts his blood stained glove on Nines face and grins weakly.

"I guess that was my last chilli dog huh?" Sonic says.

"You have to fight, you have to!" Nine sobs squeezing his hand tightly.

"I... Love you Nine"

Nine squeezes his hand tighter, "I love you too... J-Just hang on"

"We're not gonna get to see the sunset tonight huh?"

Nine grips Sonic's hand tighter desperately using his other hand to put pressure on his chest wound.

"Sonic!... Please... Don't go, I don't want to be alone again! Sonic!"

"You're never going to be alone... I'll watch over you... I'll love you... Forever"

Nine can feel Sonic's grip loosening until finally his hand falls to the ground in the pool of blood and his pupils expand, his smile still on his face as he finally passes away in Nines arms. Nine can feel his entire body shaking, eyes darting every which way, all he can do now is mourn.

"Sonic?... Sonic?!" Nine shouts shaking him desperately.

Nothing, Nine realising there's nothing he can do closes Sonic's eyes and squeezes him tightly, inconsolable rage takes over and he just lets out the loudest scream he can, he spends the next few minutes sobbing and wailing still squeezing Sonic tightly in his arms.

"I don't wanna be alone..." He sobs.

The sobbing and crying then continue until the recording ends. When it's over, tears are streaming down Sonic's face, Nine sniffles and squeezes his fist.

"D-Did you try and track him down?" Sonic asks.

"He was gone by the time I finally had the balls to go searching... I burried him under a flower field by a tree we used to sit by together, he would make the cheesiest jokes but they still made me laugh. I didn't stop looking for that bastard though, two years after I lost him, I finally tracked him down to universe 8754-"

"Earth-"

Nine nods, then he twists the disk showing a different holographic recording. Sonic almost immediately recognised the location...

"Hey is that New York-"

Nine nods again.

The recording starts and it shows the red eyed Tails in a bar kicking back and watching the patrons do their usual thing. Not long later, Nine kicks the door open and it immediately draws the attention of the humans in there, with a fierce snarl everyone stears clear if Nine as he storms his way up to Tails sitting there, the other fox adjusts his gloves and looks over at Nine who's staring him down, hatred and rage burning like a bon fire in his eyes.

"Oh, I was wondering when you were going to show up" Tails says.

"You took everything from me..."

"I didn't take everything, just what I thought was necessary to take"

"He was EVERYTHING TO ME, and you slaughtered him like he was a farm animal" Nine screams banging his fist on the table cracking it.

"You wanna know something? Trying to kill me won't solve your problems, it'll just leave you with more questions-"

"It's a good thing I plan to to squeeze the information out of you before I give you the slow painful death you deserve" Nine says, getting close to Tails' face, the fox, however, doesn't flinch but rather sits up and leaves his table pretending as if Nine didn't exist.

This pushes his patience to the brink and he pulls something from his utility belt it's a small blade with glowing ends, he throws the weapon at Tails. To the shock of everyone in the bar, Tails catches the knife with two fingers and throws it back, Nine is forced to dodge the blade as it whizzes passed him and cuts a bottle of beer open. Tails jumps and drop kicks Nine sending him crashing to the floor, the fox grabs him by the shirt and picks him up, Nine headbutts him and Tails stumbles backwards, but all it does is makes Tails smirk.

"What's wrong, I thought you were going to give me a slow and painful death" Tails taunts.

Nine presses the button on his belt buckle activating the mechanical tails folded around his organic ones, he jumps at Tails, the metal spiderleg like tails swing and jab at Tails who dodges every blow somewhat gracefully, Tails grabs one of the claws and swings Nine around for a second before letting him fly out the glass window and onto the street, Tails jumps out of the broken window and rolls ontop of Nine, throwing hands at his face. Nine kicks him off and forces himself off the ground wiping the blood from his lip.

"As much as I love doing this I have other things I gotta do, and neither of them involve getting into pointless skirmishes with you"

"I won't stop until you feel my pain!" Nine growls he gets into a fighting stance and prepares to jump at Tails yet again.

He leaps high into the air and lunging at him again with his mechanical claws, Tails winds up a punch, red lightning sparks around his fist and he lets his fist fly into Nine's jaw, this also creates a massive shockwave that shatters windows, throws people backwards and rips stuff like Street lights and mailboxes from their structures. Nine is thrown into a car and the car spins onto the street causing other cars to crash into it and thus causing a massive multi-vehicle pile up.

Nine uses his mechanical Tails to help himself back up, Tails tosses a ruby coloured ring into the air and it opens a portal.

"You're dedicated, I like you" Tails says with a smirk.

"Go to hell" Nine says, squeezing the part of his face where Tails struck him.

Tails jumps onto a car and then into the portal which closes behind him. Nine hearing the sirens flees the area by climbing on top of buildings with his claws. The recording ends and Sonic looks down at a somewhat emotional Nine who's in a ball holding his knees close to his chest.

"I... I don't know what to say" Sonic responds.

"You don't have to say anything, all I want you to do is lead him here so I can finally rip that psycho apart"

"Nine... How do you know for sure that it was the Tails from my universe?" Sonic asks.

"While I was still looking into answers as to where he came from, I found a universe where there was another Sonic and Tails couple and I also saw that the Sonic of that universe was killed protecting a city from that version of Doctor Eggman and that universe's Tails couldn't handle the loss and he disappeared. It's unknown what happened between that and the time and the day he ripped my Sonic from my hands but I can only assume it's one of those if I can't be happy, then no one can phases"

"Maybe we should get the full story first" Sonic recommends.

"And why would I do that?" Nine responds.

"You said it yourself, you don't know what happened between the time that Tails vanished to the time this one came and killed your Sonic... Or whatever universe that Sonic came from" Sonic explains.

Nine thinks for a moment and reluctantly agrees, "Fine, but if he's bullshiting, I'm ending him myself"

"Okay, cool, that's fine" Sonic says, a little uneasy with his response but he's just glad he understands.

Nine takes a shaky breath and looks up at Sonic who's playing around with the hologram projecter. His heartbeat quickens as Sonic continues to make funny faces at the projecter.

"I know this is gonna sound like a weird request but can you uh.... Hold my hand" Nine says looking away from Sonic.

The blue hedgehog stops and looks down at a blushing Nine, the fox trying to give an unfriendly grunt as he extends his hand to Sonic, he sighs and shakes his head while smiling.

"You and Tails have a lot more in common then you'd believe" Sonic says.

Sonic takes his hand and pulls Nine in and the fox wraps his arms around him, "Better?"

Nine slowly nods and moans quietly as Sonic holds him close.

"Are you always like this? Tough exterior and soft interior?"

"The Sonic I know would have talked about how much he loved that about me" Nine says.

Sonic nods slowly, the hedgehog knew Nine missed the Sonic he knew so he didn't really mind this so much, after all him and Tails had plenty of moments like this.

"You know what sucks about being alone? No one's here to cook for you, talk to you when you feel dead inside, share your creativity-"

He looks up at Sonic and bites his neck playfully as if he's vampire, Sonic jumps a bit when he feels his teeth sink into his neck. Nine moves back and gives him a lust fueled, yet sinister smrik.

"...Or to handle you-"

Nine surprises Sonic by kissing his face, Sonic flinches but doesn't try and push him away, the same feeling he has with Tails is the way he feels right now... It just feels right.

"-Especially if you're horny almost constantly... Like me" Nine says with a mischievous grin.

"Well played" Sonic says realising he fell for Nine's trick.

"You and my Sonic have a lot in common too, you're gullible-" Nine says, wrapping his arms around him.

The fox takes Sonic and pulls him into his bedroom, pulling the hedgehog on top of him so he can taste his lips. Sonic while kissing him undoes his belt and yanks off his trousers. Nine watch's as Sonic goes down in between his legs while licking the fox's thighs. A pleasure fueled grin etches it's way onto Nine's face as Sonic plays around with him down there, Nine hadn't felt something that good in years and his quivering body is begging for more of that feeling Sonic gives him as he does his work there. A few minutes goes by with intense slurping and moaning, it's hard for Nine to think straight now, finally he has enough and forces Sonic's head down in between his legs surprising him.

"D-Don't you dare stop" He grunts.

The wet and sticky feeling makes it hard for the fox to keep his composure, his breathing is heavy and he feels like a volcano about to errupt. Eventually, he can't hold It any longer, he pushes Sonic's head down as deep as he can and let's it all go, Sonic takes it all in and eventually when Nine's done he lets Sonic go and the hedgehog takes a moment to breathe and cough out the unusual taste in his mouth.

"Oops" Nine says with a smirk.

Sonic looks up at him and grumbles.

"That's it"

Sonic climbs on top of him and grunts while the fox holds onto him tightly and let's Sonic have his way with him, the hedgehog choosing to go for his behind as Nine licks his lips and braces himself for Sonic's wrath, the grin on his face only grows wider as Sonic gets further inside of him Nine starts to laugh and stroke Sonic's face as he does him away.

"Score" Nine says to himself, still smirking, sweating and laughing.

Back on Earth, Tails eventually reaches Bristol and when he gets there the first thing he does is search for Sonic's whereabouts.

He climbs into an open window of a house and looks to see if there's anybody in, there are two children watching the television as Tails slips up the steps and into a room with a laptop. He closes the door quietly and plugs the Miles Electric to the PC. While him and Sonic were on the way to London, the fox put nanites in his drink to monitor Sonic's health and make sure he wasn't sick or severally injured... But they could also be used to monitor and track Sonic's whereabouts and Tails finally got a lock onto the universe Sonic's is.

"He's okay. Good" Tails says.

Tails reaches into his back and grabs the small Dream Jumper and sets it to universe 3213.

"I'm coming Sonic... Just hold on"

Just as he's about to fire the bolt and open the portal he hears the children approach the bedroom so he unplugs the Miles Electric from the computer, powers down the device and rolls under the bed just as they enter the room.

"Where does mum keep the money again" A boyish voice goes.

"I don't know check under the drawer" the voice of a young girl responds.

"Tch" Tails goes annoyed with the sudden interruption.

He looks around at his surroundings and sees a teddy bear, the fox takes it and throws it out of the room and sure enough it catches the children's attention.

"Mister Fluffybottom!" The girl shouts excitedly, she gets up and runs outside of the room to pick up the stuffed animal and give it a hug, the boy stops what he's doing and goes over to his sister.

"Hey, what about finding the money?"

"Shut up, I haven't seen Mister Fluffybottom in seven years!"

Tails rolls out from under the bed and closes the door quickly, he fires a beam at the wall the portal to universe 3213 opens. He waists no time and jumps in ending up in a dark alleyway. He pulls his blaster from his belt and sets it to the kill setting before continuing down into the city, he'll get Sonic back even if it means he'll have to kill someone in front of him.

Sonic and Nine lay on the bed out of breath, Nine's twitching and shaking while Sonic tries to endure the stinging pain from his aggressiveness, both their clothes are strewn across the floor in various places.

"Gah, fuck" Sonic grunts.

Nine rolls over and wraps his arms around Sonic, "Rad"

"Are you always that rough" Sonic says still struggling to catch his breath.

"He loved it too you know. But you last longer"

"Is that so?" Sonic responds.

"Yeah" Nine says putting his hand on Sonic's soft chest.

"Hey Nine..."

"What?"

"I don't want us to be enemies"

The fox grumbles and sits up looking down at his socks, "Me neither"

Sonic sits up too and tries to climb out of bed but he grabs Sonic from behind and pulls him back so he can rest his head on his back.

"It's been so long since I've felt like this" Nine goes.

"Felt loved?"

"Mm"

Sonic feels his heart throb a bit when he hears that, Sonic's still a bit surprised that Nine's even showing his vulnerable side to him.

"Me and him... We weren't together for a long time. How long was it again? Like two years maybe... It felt too short"

Sonic seeing he's not going anywhere anytime soon decides to lay back on the bed, Nine crawls next to him and rests his head on his chest.

"So how did you meet the Sonic that came before me?"

Nine chuckles at the question, "He just walked into my lab... He thought I was his Tails and I tried to kill him but he saved me. We had a whole bunch of other shenanigans together and then one day we finally defeated Mr. Doctor Eggman and there was this huge parade going on, everyone was celebrating and... Something in my heart just told me to grab him and just take him to a dark corner so I could kiss him, and that's when we started dating. He was a dumbass, but I loved him"

"Oh, kinda like me and the Tails I know, same dynamic"

Nine reaches under his bed and pulls out a small box, inside are a whole bunch of things ranging from pins to a futuristic set of gloves and shoes, the one that caught Sonic's attention was a blood stained white and blue camo bandana which he picks up and holds up in the air.

"He was wearing that when he was killed"

"Oh"

"I couldn't bring myself to throw all his stuff away so I just keep it in storage"

Sonic then picks up a polaroid photo of Nine, smiling at the photographer while holding on tightly to an embarrassed and awkward looking Sonic. Sonic grins at the picture as it reminded him of one him and Tails took in New York, while Nine lays on Sonic's chest he looks up at him and prepares to ask a question he's always wanted to ask Sonic.

"Sonic there's something I want to ask you"

Sonic looks down at Nine and wraps his arm around his stomach.

"What's up?"

Nine gulps and opens his mouth. However before he can say anything an explosion rocks the doors jolting both of them.

Sonic jumps off the bed and puts his gloves and shoes on, Nine gets his clothes from off the floor and puts them on too and they both run out of Nine's room into the lab area, standing there with rage in his eyes is none other then Tails and when he sees Nine he raises his blaster at him and prepares to fire... Sonic however steps infront of Nine.

"Sonic! Move!" Tails shouts.

"Tails! Stop!" Sonic shouts.

"I said move!" Tails shrieks.

Nine squeezes his fist and does his best to keep himself calm remembering that Sonic doesn't want bloodshed.

"Tails! Can you please put the blaster down, this doesn't have to end violently!" Sonic says.

"He took you from me!"

"Oh Chaos almighty! Tails just hear me out... Please! He's not as bad as you think! Just lower the blaster!"

Tails doesn't want to fight against Sonic so he reluctantly lowers his weapon. Sonic slowly walks up to him and embraces him, Tails squeezes Sonic tightly while fighting tears of his own. Sonic lets go and puts his hands on his shoulders.
