Tails wakes up in bed, Sonic sleeping next to him, he wipes his eyes and reaches for his phone on the night stand sitting up on the bed frame as he reads more about what the humans gathered from the incident last night. Sonic rolls around and reaches around until he grabs hold of Tails, the fox puts his hand on Sonic's spikey head and messages it gently as he continues to read on. When he's done reading, Tails gets off the bed and stretches, Sonic comedically rolls off the bed behind him and onto the floor.

"Ow" Sonic groans.

Tails holds his laughter back and shakes his head.

"It's already the morning?"

"Yep" Tails says putting on his socks.

"What did we do last night"

Tails can feel his face getting warm, "I forgot to be honest"

"Oh yeah we got crazy in bed again-"

Tails bangs his head on the dresser making Sonic sit up in surprise.

"What's wrong"

"N-Nothing, you're just really hard to resist" Tails says bashfully.

"Shut up, I can say the same about you" Sonic fires back, just as embarrassed himself.

"I'm gonna go make breakfast" Tails says walking up to the door way and turning around. It takes Sonic a second to realise Tails is waiting for him he gets on his feet and walks and grabs his shoes and gloves.

Sonic sits at the counter as Tails mixes some eggs in a bowl, he's been interested in the music festival they were going to check out since Tails mentioned it.

"Glastonbury huh"

"Yep the Glastonbury Festival" Tails says while pouring the mixed eggs into a pan, the sound of liquid sizzling is like music to both their ears.

"That smells really good"

I tried putting some spices in it this time"

"Ugh, I wanna eat now"

"Just a bit more Sonic, I know you can wait"

Sonic tries taking his mind off the hunger by continuing to read about the Glastonbury festival. He sees the festival usually goes on for five days at most and most people who attend sleep in yurts.

"Tails, this festival goes on for 5 days"

"Really?"

"Yeah, But hey at least there's some pretty decent food from what I'm se... Oh hell yeah! They have a rock band playing the first day!" Sonic says, the hedgehog is vibrating with excitement as Tails looks back at him and smiles.

"We still gotta write that song" Tails says.

"Yeah, yeah I know... Whoo! That got me super excited!"

Tails finishes cooking the eggs and slides half onto Sonic's plate before putting the other half on his.

"So when are we leaving?" Sonic asks.

"As soon as we're done eating" Tails responds, he takes a fork full of fluffy eggs and puts it in his mouth.

"We trying to beat the crowd or something?"

"Something like that"

Sonic shrugs and is about to put a piece of egg in his mouth when he gets an idea, as Tails is about to put another piece of food in his mouth, he sticks the piece of egg up to his face, the fox's face turns strawberry coloured almost immediately when he realises what Sonic is trying to do.

"Say ahhh" Sonic says with a smirk.

"C-Come on Sonic"

"You want it our not?"

Tails gulps and opens his mouth, "A-Ahhh"

Sonic delicately puts the piece of food in his mouth and Tails chews and swallows it.

"That reaction was adorable haha"

Tails, slightly flustered, cuts off a piece of piece of his food and puts it in his face, "Say ahhh"

"Ahhhh nomf" Sonic goes, taking the piece of food from the knife with his teeth without a second thought, it makes Tails flinch, Sonic sits back on his chair and laughs.

"Hmph" Tails pouts, still blushing.

"Lol" Sonic goes with a cheeky grin.

When they're done eating, Tails wraps his arms around Sonic while the hedgehog cleans the dishes.

"Are you trying to get my attention" Sonic says as he sets a plate back on the dish rack.

"Nah" Tails responds, resting his face on his shoulder.

Sonic looks down at him, raises an eyebrow and grins at him, he knows what he wants. Tails grumbles, "Okay fine, yeah I want your attention"

Sonic lifts Tails up and spins him around, Tails shouts loudly as Sonic laughs his butt off, he tosses him up in the air and catches him in his arms, Tails can feel his head spinning, but he's never been happier.

"Oh that was cool" Tails says, still dizzy.

Sonic gently pushes his head on his chest and kisses him on the forehead, Tails locks eyes with him and looks away shyly.

"Should we get going?" Sonic asks.

"M-Maybe we could stay for a few minutes" Tails responds.

"I was thinking the same thing"

Sonic leans in slowly and kisses Tails gently on the lips, Tails wraps his arms around him tasting the inside of Sonic's lips, the salty yet somewhat sweet taste drives him crazy. Sonic is surprised when Tails suddenly wrestles uses his body weight to take the two down to the oak wood floor, the fox's tails swish around excitedly as he continues to kiss Sonic's lips.

Sonic though days into their newfound relationship, still can't believe Tails was this crazy for him. His original hypothesis was that his shyness around girls made it clear that he was attracted to girls, and when Tails told him what he was really attracted to him, he still couldn't believe that he was wrong... As if the fox boy's swept him off his feet.

But deep down he know's he's always in some way felt the same way about Tails so when Tails suddenly kissed him that day in the kitchen back at their base, he couldn't believe it, his heart wasn't confused, more or so jumping for joy, celebrating with an intense display of fireworks.

"H-Hey Tails" Sonic says as the fox kisses his chest.

Tails rests his head on his chest and meets Sonic's gaze with a satisfied grin, "What's up?"

"What are we gonna do when we get back to Mobius?" Sonic asks.

Tails licks his neck and sighs, "We'll figure it out"

"Also... Is it bad that I'm wondering if you're this cute in every universe?" Sonic asks, trying to hide his blush.

Tails stares at his partner and holds back his laughter, he gives Sonic an excited smooch before pulling away and resting his forehead on his, "I'd explain, but you'd get bored if I did"

"Try me" Sonic says.

A smile slowly appears on his face and he nuzzles Sonic's chest, "Each version of us has different personalities. In one universe, maybe you're actually a villain and Eggman is the hero. Or maybe, you're the one that has a crush on me!"

"So what you're saying is... There's several alternative versions of all of us?"

"Mhm"

"So I could potentially find a version of you with more Tails?"

"Mhm"

"Bigger fluffier ones?!"

"Mhm"

"Whoa"

"Hey! My tails are plenty big and fluffy!" Tails says, stroking them gently.

"I-I never said they weren't! Sorry hehe" Sonic responds.

"I forgive you" Tails says looking away like a tsundre.

"It's still crazy to me how many more of us exist out there. Do you think maybe Mobians exist on this world?" Sonic asks.

"Maybe they do, but I haven't found any evidence to support that claim. Maybe this world was always inhabited by humans"

"Oh" Sonic says, disappoint in his voice.

Tails not liking the disappointed look on his face immediately changes his stance, "But maybe there is evidence and we just haven't found it yet!"

Sonic perks up a bit, "I hope you're right"

"So how was that?" Tails responds.

"A lot to take in... But I'm interested more or less"

"I'll always be the best version of all of those other me's out there, right?" Tails asks.

"Of course" Sonic responds.

The boys share a kiss, Sonic's chest feels like it's melting from the burning fire in his heart, the feeling of Tails touching him would make him slowly lose control of himself more and more, the fox's kisses were addictive. The way Sonic touched Tails made him feel feral, Sonic had his hand grasping Tails' thigh and that was making Tails moan and breathe heavily. Sonic looks over at the clock and sees it's almost time for him and Tails to go.

"Mm Sonic, I think we should get going-"

"Already?"

"Yeah"

Tails gives Sonic one more kiss and stands up. Sonic sighs and watches as Tails puts some of his gadgets in his bag. Sonic jumps on top of the counter and sits on the other end watching Tails put his essentials in his bag.

"What are you sitting there for?" Tails asks slinging his bag on his shoulder.

"Nothin, just can't believe you're my boyfriend now"

Tails pulls him from off the counter and kisses him roughly before pushing him him backwards while smiling at him, "Go get your bag dumbass"

Sonic salutes and smiles bashfully, "Aye aye"

It's now fifteen minutes passed eleven, Sonic carries Tails to the Paddington train station zipping through the busy streets of London. Tails is on his back, arms wrapped around Sonic. When Sonic reaches Paddington he lets Tails down and the two hold hands as they enter the station.

"I can't wait to kick back during the train ride Sonic says.

"I'm interested to see what other stuff I could learn about humans while I'm on the train" Tails says as he uses the ticket machine.

Sonic sighs still smiling at him, "There you go with the nerd stuff again"

Sonic notices Tails selecting a different destination on the ticket machine and wonders what Tails is doing.

"Um Tails, that's not Glastonbury-"

"The train won't take us directly there so we have to get off at Bristol Temple Meds? Meads? I don't know how you say that" Tails says still pushing buttons on the machine.

"Alright if you say so" Sonic responds.

"Oh it is Bristol Temple Meads" Tails says looking at his phone.

Sonic looks around the bustling station, there are humans taking pictures of them but he notices they're younger looking, teenagers and children mostly and the regular commuters and tourists alike rushing around the station. However something else catches his eye, a small figure in a torn up grey cloak the size of Tails. Sonic can make out a tired blue eye as he and whoever's in the cloak stare at each other feels a sense of dread. Eventually a group of school children walk infront if him and when they all pass by they're not there anymore, Sonic wants to go investigate but can't because Tails is holding his hand.

"Hey Tails?-"

"Yes I know there are people taking pictures of us" Tails says, tapping his foot as he waits for the machine to print the tickets.

"It's not that, I think I saw some wackjob watching us, like a small dude in a dark grey cloak" Sonic says.

Tails looks back at Sonic now sharing Sonic's concern over their safety, "Let's stay close"

Sonic nods.

The two walk to the platform where their train is and get on it sitting in their seats, Sonic peaks into the isle only to see a family taking their seats in the car behind theirs, he looks the other way a couple sharing a kiss before sitting down in their seats, theirs no sign of their would be stalker.

"Do you think Shadow got out or something" Sonic asks.

"Can't be, it would be all over the news" Tails responds.

Tails, not anticipating a random an unknown random suddenly following them needed to come up with a plan to dispose of them and fast. He's worried about the potential risk to him and Sonic, the last thing he needed was for him and his blue spikey lover to get into a fight or worse.

"When you see him let me know" Tails says quietly.

"Gotcha" Sonic responds.

Five minutes later the train is off to Bristol Temple Meads, Sonic looks on outside at the passing scenery as Tails types something on his laptop.

"What's that?" Sonic asks.

"Daily log, it's like my diary but a public one that I eventually share with you guys. Stuff like my discoveries and the stuff we do here on Earth gets typed up in here" Tails explains.

Sonic nods understanding what he's explaining to him.

"Sooo did you add the one where you said you loved me?" Sonic asks.

Tails can feel his face warming up, he covers his face and shakes his head. Sonic holds back his laughter and pats Tails on the shoulder.

"I-I mean I did document everything we did I just didn't talk about us... You know..."

"Hah, I'm sorry but you look adorable when you're blushing" Sonic says still trying to not laugh.

"Sonic! Shut up!" Tails says, his face totally red from how flustered Sonic was getting him

Sonic can't take it anymore and he lets out his laughter. A passenger throws a water bottle near them which Sonic avoids by dodging it, an aggravated man in a polo shirt glares them down not far from the other end of the carriage.

"Can you two little pricks shut up!" The man says.

"Dude, what the hell is your deal?!" Sonic shouts back.

"I'm trying to work and your being loud and rambunctious! Be quiet!" The passenger shouts back.

"You're not my dad!" Sonic returns.

Tails stands up and opens the water bottle, the man and Sonic keep shouting at each other as the passengers try and mind their business or record the spicy drama going down, the fox walks up to the passenger with a blank expression on his face and stares him in the eye, tipping the water bottle and pouring the liquid all over his papers and laptop, the man is in so much shock he shuts up.

"Shut the fuck up"

When all the water is poured out of the bottle Tails drops it on his soaking wet laptop and walks back to his seat. Sonic's mouth is wide open as Tails climbs back onto his seat and continues to type on his computer.

"You little shit-"

"I wouldn't be talking about little because that describes your penis size asshole" Tails responds, still typing on his orange little laptop.

Sonic and a couple of other passengers burst into laughter as the angry passenger just sits back down in his seat and messages his face in defeat.

As the train is halfway near Bristol, it is much calmer inside, everyone is back to being quiet and minding their business. Tails is asleep, taking a well deserved rest after typing documents for the last few hours or so, and Sonic is on his phone looking at cat videos on Instagram when he notices the small creature in the grey cloak walk right passed him towards the next train car.

Sonic looks back at Tails for a second, he nudges him to try and wake him up, nothing, he tries again, nothing. After a few more attempts, he gives up trying to wake his companion and he follows whoever's in the dark garment to the next train car, he follows them a few cars down until he's suddenly pulled into a lavatory, the door closing swiftly behind him. It's dark and all he can see is pitch black. Until finally a light turns on and standing across from him is the mystery person in the grey cloak.

"Okay, I don't know what you're deal is but if you're gonna try and kidnap me you've got another thing coming"

Two gloved hands remove the hood and Sonic's eyes go wide.

"T-Tails?"

Standing in front of him is what looks to be Tails, but it's not Tails at the same time. He's wearing a dark grey shirt with yellow and bluish coloured linings over a hood, black trousers, his utility belt is polished and deeply cleaned, he's got gloves one black and another white and, the three hairs on the front of his head sticking upwards. Sonic can feel the aggressiveness and murderous intent coming from him.

He backs up slowly and reaches for the door handle when something metal rises from behind the fox and thrusts into the door keeping Sonic from opening it. The hedgehog can tell it's a mechanical arm and he shouts loudly when it almost punctures his hand. Then Sonic recalls the conversation him and Tails had back in London before they left about alternate versions of themselves, Sonic is forced to conclude that this is indeed what Tails was talking about, an alternate version of him from another universe and the blue hedgehog can tell he's not here to get friendly and acquainted with him.

"Oh, so uh you're the bad guy Tails... Cool, but uh what do you want with me"

"First of all, my name isn't Tails. I hate that name..." He responds in a gruff voice.

"Miles?" Sonic goes with a nervous smile.

"Nine!" He shouts.

Sonic flinches and presses his back up against the door, he's praying that this new version of Tails whoever he is doesn't kill him and string his body parts up like Christmas ornaments.

"My name is Nine... And we need to talk"
