Tails and Sonic decided to settle with the Crossrail as it was the newest and fastest way to get into London quickly. Sonic and Tails sit on the armrests with their bags in the middle, holding hands while watching the train fly down the line.

"Doesn't feel as fast as the one back in the US"

"This one's more of a conventional train, it's not meant to go super fast"

"Ohhhhh"

"I like the slower speeds to be honest, gives us more time to enjoy the ride"

"You're not wrong there"

Sonic and Tails sit in silence for a few minutes, as the train pulls out of a station, Tails can feel Sonic's hand squeezing tighter. Tails can see he's anxious about something and he knows what it is.

"You're worried about everyone back home aren't you?"

Sonic nods.

"Blaze and Silver can handle it! You know you can trust them"

"I know, but I'm still worried about Cream and her condition, last I heard she still hasn't woken up yet"

"Sonic, she stabbed you!"

"I know, but that doesn't mean I care any less about her"

Tails though shocked at what he just said is touched by Sonic words, Tails leans in and presses his lips on Sonic's for a few seconds.

"You're something else"

"Heh, thanks-"

Tails goes back in and kisses him again, this time moving closer so he can climb on top of him, the sensation of the fox touching him makes Sonic warm. Tails and Sonic are about to get dirty yet again when the train suddenly stop at a station, the two jump away from each other as people start to board the train.

"Uhhh, Tails, what time is it"

"Back in Washington it's 2:17 AM, here in London it's 7:17 AM... Rush hour"

"Ah crud"

As the train gets closer to the city center it gets more and more crowded. Good thing, no one seemed to care much about them so they didn't have to worry too much about exposure to the internet again. They end up getting off the train at the Highbury and Islington tube station, when they come up from underground Sonic is relieved to finally have some fresh air, Tails is writing in his notes about how different the buildings were.

"So where are we staying?"

"There's a doctor who's in Spain for the summer, he's not going to be back for a while..."

"It's scary how good you are at finding this stuff"

"I've got a natural talent, what else can I say"

"That your a small gay nerd" Sonic responds with a cocky smirk.

Tails punches him in the gut and Sonic heels over, "Yeah I deserved that" he wheezes.

Tails hugs him though, immediately feeling bad for doing that.

Sonic sighs and stands up straight.

"I really love it when you do that"

"D-Do what?"

"Lash out on me and then apologise with a hug"

Tails stamps his foot, somewhat flustered by the comment he made about his habit. Sonic kisses him on the forehead and takes his hand.

"Lead the way"

Sonic and Tails walk together, a car passes by Sonic on his right side, close enough to surprise him.

"I'm so used to everything driving on the right side of the road"

"You'll get used to it" Tails says, still writing in his journal.

Sonic gives him the 'are you kidding me' glare and then a truck comes out of his blind spot so he decides to stand on the other side of Tails who's still walking and writing stuff down. Sonic, waves his hand in front of Tails face to get his attention, Tails growls at him and keeps writing, this prompts Sonic to chuckle do it again, Tails turns around and Sonic looks up at the grey sky while whistling a tune.

"If you do that again I'll kick your ass"

Sonic indeed does it again, and Tails reaches his breaking point. He takes a deep breath and looks over at the teetering hedgehog, he grabs him by his chest fur and start kissing Sonic aggressively, Sonic can feel his quills stand up all the while Tails continues to savour the taste of his lips. When he's done Sonic turns around curls up into a ball and lets out a muffled scream.

It's Tails turn to laugh now, Sonic turns around red as a cherry.

"Dude! I thought you were gonna attack me with the book not attack me with your lips!"

"I didn't say how I was gonna kick your ass though"

"Gah, you suck"

Tails leans closer with a smug look on his face, Sonic backs away immediately, "Aw someone's embarrassed"

"Shut the fuck up!"

Tails laughs some more and then reaches his hand out so he can help Sonic up from off the damp sidewalk. As they finally arrive at their destination at Cannonbury Park South, Sonic can feel his stomach grumble, Tails can't wait to sit down and just veg out for the rest of the day.

"Whoa, It's been that long since we ate?"

"I guess" Tails says reaching around in his bag for something, it's a small orange metal cube the size of his hand. The fox places it on the keyhole to the house and waits for a few seconds as the sound of whirring and clicking fills the air, when it finishes, Tails removes the cube from the hole and in the slot is a 3D printed key to the house. Sonic raises an eyebrow.

"Wow"

"I used this to break you out of that cage Doctor Starline locked you in, just so you know"

"Huh... What happened to Starline anyway?"

"He's in a high security prison, he's not going anywhere"

"When did that happen"

"While you were recovering from being shot" Tails responds, sounding somewhat gloomy. He twist the key and opens the door to the house, Sonic steps inside. Tails looks around the block before closing the door behind him and locking it.

"Why are you still so down about that?"

"It's my fault that happened to you, if I hadn't been such a clutzy idiot and dropped my diary you would have been fine"

"Tails... If I could go back to that moment, I'd gladly do it again. I want to see you happy okay?"

Tails jumps on him and holds on tightly, Sonic runs his hand on his cranium gently to soothe him, "I love you Sonic"

"I-I love you too" Sonic responds, enjoying the little moment they're having.

As Sonic messages him, he notices some folded blankets and a shelf full of movies in the living area, then Tails gets an idea.

"Hey Sonic"

"What's up?"

Tails rests his chin on Sonics chest, "When's the last time we had movie night with just the two of us..."

"Can't remember to be honest..."

Sonic sees what Tails sees and he looks down directly at the affectionate little fox's eyes, a lazy smile shows on his face as Sonic catches on to his point.

"Ohhhh, I see what your doing"

Tails takes him by the hand and takes him to the couch where he sits Sonic down. Once the two decide on a few movies they watch them to their hearts content. While they watched them they always found themselves holding hands at some point or another, they break out the popcorn and watch until the stars are out, as the credits roll on the film they just finished watching, Sonic leans over towards Tails and kisses him, Tails moans and at that point he can't take it anymore. He pulls Sonic on top of him letting the blue hedgehog kiss his neck and feel his thighs.

"Roll over" Sonic says aggressively.

Tails gives him a lovesick smirk, "About time you finally manned up"

"Shut it"

Sonic wraps his arms around Tails warm body, Tails hasn't felt this good in a long time, he loves how rough Sonic is with him, and he's practically screaming for more. He wants more of this pleasure, the feeling of his insides to be warm like melted butter, he wishes he could feel like this all the time.

Tails is starting to lose it as Sonic continues to go at it with him, he can't think straight. Sonic grabs on to his chest fur and squeezes him tightly, Tails in response shivers after all it's secretly one of his favourite spots to be touched.

Sonic can't take it any more and squeezes Tails tighter as he lets go, an audible moan from Tails lets him know he enjoyed what he just did, he falls on top of him breathless, Tails puts his hand on his face and laughs exhausted by the fun they had together.

"I wanna do that again" Tails moans.

Sonic kisses his cheek, "Maybe tomorrow night, you basically drained my energy for the night"

"Oh... Ha... Sorry"

Sonic rests Tails head on his chest, "Don't sweat it, now get some sleep. We got some more exploring to do"

Tails closes his eyes and starts to falls asleep on him, "Already on it"

Sonic strokes his head gently, he turns the television off and lays down with him so he can sleep too. Sonic can tell the battle in his heart is over and he knows who's won that battle and the victor was love, love for sweet little Tails who would do anything for him, anything to keep him safe. With that thought he closes his eyes too.

The night carries on peacefully, the two boys lay with eachother in their arms. Around 1 AM that night, a chime goes off on Tails phone, when he hears it his eyes immediately open, he gently seperates himself from Sonic and gets up from the couch to go see his phone.

There's a notification for a message on it, Tails' eyes turn blank and frosty when he sees the message. He takes a smaller bag out of his and puts his laser blaster and some other tools in there before closing it. Tails glances over at Sonic and whimpers, he runs over to him and passionately kisses his cheek.

"I'll be back"

He rubs the spot where he kissed his cheek for a moment and then goes on his way to do what he's doing.

Tails travels on the Underground by himself until he reaches a fancy restaurant in Oxford Circus. He walks inside, there's no one there but a man in his late 40s in a dark suit and a few slivers of gray hair, the gentleman waves at him and gestures for him to come over and sit with him. Tails still with the chilly void like expression in his blue eyes walks over to his table and sits across from him.

"I must say, you are a lot shorter then I imagined you'd be"

"Cut the crap, you know why I agreed to meet you here"

"Yes... I suppose we must get to business"

"I have a specimen in mind that I think you and your research pals over in Cambridge will love" Tails says with a smirk.

"And that is?"

"Shadow the hedgehog, the ultimate lifeform. You'll find his DNA very interesting, and his powers and abilities too"

Tails slides the man a file with copies of Shadow's statics, the man reads through them as Tails drinks the water on the table, "I know what you're thinking?"

"What am I thinking?"

"You're thinking about trying to grab me and Sonic"

"...He does have some rather intriguing abilities"

Tails bangs his fist on the table, "If you touch me or him, I will burn your organisation to the ground. Do you understand me?"

The man puts the file down on the table once he's finished reading it, "I'm not the main one in charge, so the decision will be out of my hands"

Tails glares at him, not trusting his word, "We give you his location, you come in grab him and you leave me and Sonic alone. Just reminding you of our deal"

"Yes, yes I'm aware"

"Good, I'll be in touch"

Tails stands up and leaves the restaurant, the man straightens his tie and picks up his phone, dialing a number on it, "Our space friend came after all, you know what I need you to do"

While Tails walks back to the station he takes a moment to admire the bright lights and liveliness of the town, the fox takes a shortcut down an alleyway. Halfway through he stops and reaches in his bag for the laser blaster, priming the weapon.

His persuer, a much younger man in his late 20s, stops walking when he hears Tails no longer moving. He reaches into his coat and whips out a small handgun, loading it. He proceeds forwards and rounds the corner to see Tails isn't there.

"This is Alpha one, I've lost the X-ray"

He turns around so he can walk back, but there's a brief flash of red, he looks down and sees the sizzling hole in his stomach, Tails looks up at him, eyes empty, the end of his blaster pistol smoking. He collapsed to the ground after a few seconds.

"Alpha one, repeat have you regained target visual! Alpha one! Come in!"

Tails takes his gun from his hand, an eerie grin etching is way into his face.

"P-Please... My wife-"

"Like I'd care" He responds.

Tails raises a small glowing laser knife and raises it high in the air.

"No wait! GAHHHH!"

He stabs him over and over again, in the chest, the neck, the stomach. Blood spraying all over the place, a blood spatter covering some parts of his face.

Once Tails confirms he's dead he makes his way back towards the restaurant. The middle aged man is there dining on a steak when Tails comes through the door, a pair of drones carrying the younger man's body behind him. When he sees the dead agent being dragged in by the drones he drops his fork on the plate and looks at Tails' rage filled eyes.

"It appears you think I'm that naïve. Let me remind you of one thing-"

Tails jumps onto the table and kneels down in front of him, grinning with psychotic joy.

"-I'm smarter then you, faster then you, and I've got the balls to put every one of you in the dirt... Don't let me catch any more of these mosquito's around me or Sonic again or the deals off, and I'll kill every single one of you"

The man is doing his best to conceal his rage and frustration as Tails wipes his blood covered gloves on his face, Tails takes the steak he's eating off of his plate, with his gloves on, and puts the entire thing in his mouth.

"Capiche?"

The man reluctantly nods and Tails stands back up and jumps off the table. The drones drop the blood dripping body of the agent they killed on the ground and Tails leaves the restaurant, the drones following behind him.

"Blasted animal..."

Tails takes the train back to Islington, and arrives back to the house, Sonic is still dead asleep on the couch as Tails goes upstairs to wash himself off. While he's in the shower he begins to wonder if he should makes some adjustments to his plan in case the people he formed a temporary alliance with would try and backstab him again later on, he throws his gloves and shoes in the wash and goes back downstairs so he can snuggle back up with Sonic. He sighs as he wraps his arms around him. For the moment he's happy that he's safe.

Morning eventually comes, Sonic is the first to wake up, Tails shortly after hearing Sonic's loud yawn opens his eyes too.

"Wooo! First full day!" Sonic says excitedly.

Tails smiles at his enthusiasm, to him it never got old seeing Sonic excited for stuff like this, Sonic jumps around excitedly and goes up to take a shower. Tails gets his gloves and shoes from the dryer and puts them on, when Sonic is done using the shower he slides down the railing and jumps landing right next to Tails surprising the fox.

"So what's the plan for today?"

"There are a few museums we can go see around the city. They may have some stuff that can tell us about what life was like for humans in the passed"

"Anything fun you got planned?"

Tails blushes, "I was thinking maybe we could walk by the river bank on our way back to the tube..."

"I'm cool with that..."

"O-Oh great"

Sonic takes Tails by the waist and kisses him, Tails kisses him back, the feeling of Sonic's lips touching him makes his heart beat faster.

"So uh... Does this mean we're a thing now"

"Yeah, we're definitely a thing"

"I can't wait to see where this goes"

"Me too"

Tails grabs onto Sonic, his large fluffy tails swishing around excitedly. Sonic holds onto him tightly and plants a smooch on his forehead.

Eventually they emerge from the house, hands intertwined with one another, ready to explore the city of London.

"Alright! New city! WOOOOOOO!"

Sonic tugs Tails along as the two walk their way to the tube station. Tails stops Sonic when they get there though.

"How about you run this time?" Tails says.

Sonic eyes light up with excitement, "Yes!"

He scoops up Tails and takes off down the street both of them shouting and laughing loudly with each other.

A streak of yellow light can be seen flying above Cornwall, some distance from London. Shadow's just arrived over the UK and he's itching to get his revenge on Tails for what he did to him, to Amy, to Cream, to Lucy. He was in Britain now, the only issue now was finding out where they were. Unbeknownst to him though, there are people watching him.

"When I get my hands on that orange squeaking little eye sore" Shadow says, his red eyes glowing brightly.

In a flash of fury, Shadow punches a tree and it snaps in half. He begins to dash threw the woods, blowing threw trees, boulders and the like, he's an unstoppable force with unstoppable determination, nothing and no one will get in his way.

The night sky of London is full of lights and all sorts of sights as Tails and Sonic walk down by the River Thames as they planned too.

"I learned so much at the natural history museum! I think I filled another note book..."

Sonic yawns, "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself Tails"

"The experience was even more enjoyable with you at my side Sonic. I couldn't be more happier that you're here"

Sonic can feel his heart on the verge of exploding, he pulls him closer and looks away, up at the sky.

"You're too sweet" Sonic says.

"You can be the same way believe it or not"

"Shut up"

Tails giggles and moves back so he can take his hand. Sonic smirks, spins Tails around and kisses him roughly, the fox almost loses his balance, the thrill of having the one you love go at it him like this was enough to make him smile a happy smile, he closes his eyes as Sonic hugs him tightly.

"You're the best" Sonic says.

"Mmm" Tails moans.

As Tails opens his eyes he sees a bright light streak across the night sky, but then it does something peculiar, coming straight towards him and Sonic. It takes him a second for him to realise it is and when he does he shoves Sonic to the side surprising the blue hedgehog. There's an explosion as the flash makes impact on the concrete where Tails is, a cloud of smoke filling the air.

"Tails!" Sonic shouts.
