Part 5

I walked inside the mansion nervously, I don't know why I got so nervous anytime I came here, everyone here was actually so nice and welcoming yet for some reason, I was always nervous.

Sonali called me just when I left from the florist, she wanted to meet me and discuss something so she told me to come here, it was like she lived here and she wasn't even married yet, I mean not that it's a bad thing, I just felt so nervous coming here.

Today, there were three ladies in the hall, she had of course met the other two, Samar and Sonali's mom but today they were accompanied by another lady too, as I walked closer I noticed something, the new lady had a flower bouquet placed on her lap.

These were the flowers Arnav had just bought earlier today from the florist, so they were for this woman? Who was she to him? Was she someone special? She had to be if he had to be buying her flowers every month, right?

"Khushi." Mrs. Raizada smiled at me.

"Hello ma'am." I smiled back at her, knowing she was Arnav's mother kind of made me more nervous in front of her than it should.

"Why do you look so scared, I am a normal human being, I wont harm you." She laughed.

"I know, I'm just nervous." I tried to relax.

"Don't worry, no one here hates you or anything, you don't have to be nervous, in fact you should feel at home, I'm sure you'll be visiting every now and then as Sonali is always here most of the times so you should stop being nervous." She smiled at me.

"Okay ma'am." I smiled.

"Barkha, who is this beautiful girl, introduce her to me also." The new lady said.

"She is Khushi, she's the wedding planner for Samar and Sonali's wedding. Khushi, this is Asha Bose, a very old friend of mine, she just shifted back here from London recently, she is like Arnav's second mother, he even buys her flowers, he's never bought me flowers." Barkha pouted making me smile, she was cute.

"Stop being jealous Barkha, he loves me more than he loves you just accept it." Asha said to her and then turned to look at me, she looked at me like she was really admiring me.

"Khushi, you are such a pretty girl." She smiled at me.

"Thank you, ma'am." I smiled.

"And very polite too, your parents really raised you well dear." Neelam said.

Okay these ladies were so sweet and they were making me smile stupidly by continuously complimenting me, I was kind of awkward now, I wasn't good with taking compliments, like what was I supposed to do or say? I just kept on saying Thanks until I felt like I had over used the word.

"Anyway, Sonali is upstairs, you can go." She said, I nodded as I headed upstairs straight away, this time I was going to make sure not to enter Arnav's room and make myself awkward so I passed by his room trying not to even look as the door was open, I passed by quickly heading to Samar's room.

"Miss. Khushi." I stopped when I heard his voice. Why are you home Arnav? Aren't you supposed to be at the office or something? Okay, I was kind of hoping he was home so I'd get to see him, but then seeing him gave me all kinds of feelings and I dint know what to make out of them.

"Mr. Raizada. I thought you must be at work." I turned around smiling, okay Khushi stop smiling to much.

"No, I stayed back to help Sonali, she's here in my room, come on." He said as he walked back inside his room and I followed him, Sonali was seated there with Samar, they had some photographs placed out on Arnav's bed.

I looked around the huge bedroom, it dint have much, no wall hangings or decorations or anything, just a simple white room with a bed in the middle and a couch on one corner and a stand on the right side of the bed, where a jug of water was placed and beside it some keys.

"We were thinking of displaying some of these pictures at the wedding, you can help us choose and also with an idea how they can be displayed or something." Sonali said.

"Sure." I smiled as I walked closer and took a look at the pictures, there were so many pictures of Samar and Sonali together, Samar picked up one picture in which he was staring at his phone and Sonali was looking at him with a pout, it was such a cute picture.

"This one is my favorite." Samar smiled.

"Yeah it shows you don't give me any attention at all." Sonali said.

"Oh babe, you have all my attention." Samar smiled at her as he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer, aww these two, they were so cute together and so much in love, it was beautiful.

I turned to look at Arnav immediately, I don't know why I did that, maybe I wanted to see how he reacted to this or whatever, when I looked at him, he looked away immediately blinking his eyes so that I wouldn't notice the tears that had formed up in his eyes but I already noticed them.

Maybe they were just tears of happiness, these two we so cute and perfect together it would make anyone happy.

"How about we print them on a fabric and put the fabric on the aisle towards the altar? It will look perfect." I suggested as I looked back at Samar and Sonali.

"I love that idea." Samar said excitedly.

"Yeah, it actually sounds so great, it will be like walking down the memory while walking to our wedding." Sonali looked at Samar in excitement.

"Thank you Khushi, you are the perfect wedding planner ever." Sonali said as she hugged me happily.

After my discussion with Sonali and Samar was over, I decided to leave as I still had to pass by the Jade garden to make sure everything was going on well.

"Okay, I'll leave now, incase of anything call me." I said to Sonali.

"Sure. Thank you for passing by."

"Come, I'll escort you." Arnav said as he moved aside giving me way, I nodded as I started walking while he walked beside me, he was such a gentleman.

We descended the staircase silently, just walking beside each other, I looked at the hall which was empty now, the ladies were gone and no one was around.

"You have such a beautiful house." I said to Arnav.

"Thank you." He smiled slightly, here I was trying to create a conversation with him and he ended it with just a thank you, I was hoping maybe he would tell me something more so I could listen to him talk, with that beautiful voice of his.

We walked out of the mansion and found the three ladies standing in the parking lot busy discussing something.

"You're leaving already? Why don't you have lunch with us?" Barkha asked.

"No, thanks, I have a lot of work to do otherwise your son's wedding won't be as perfect as he wants it to be." I said.

"Oh okay, but do keep visiting." She said.

"Sure ma'am." I smiled as I waved a silent goodbye to Arnav and walked towards my car, I stopped to unlock it when I noticed the flat tire.

"Seriously!" I said it out so loud, I almost forgot everyone was still here, I had a habit of talking so loudly when I was angry or frustrated.

"Is everything okay Miss. Khushi?" Arnav asked as he walked towards my car and looked at me and then at the car also noticing the flat tire.

"I had a lot of work planned for today, now changing this will just waste my time." I pouted.

"Don't worry, I'll tell a driver to drop you wherever you are going with one of the cars." Arnav said.

"Why don't you drop her? We'll tell the driver to change the tire and then bring the car wherever you are?" Asha asked.

"Yeah, you should definitely drop her." Barkha agreed with Asha.

"Looks like you already saw the flat tire before she did, you already have so many ideas." Arnav said as he looked at Asha suspiciously. Why was he looking at her suspiciously? It wasn't like she punctures the tire on purpose. Or did she?

No stop thinking nonsense Khushi, why would a lady I just met puncture the tire of my car for no reason?

"Why are you looking at me like I've committed a crime?" Asha asked.

"You and me, we'll talk. Khushi, I mean Miss. Khushi, let me drop you first, I'm sure by the time you reach your destination, the driver would have changed the tire and caught up with us." Arnav said.

"Yeah, we always talk, go drop her, she's getting late." Asha rolled her eyes, Arnav shrugged as he turned to look at me.

"Come on, I'll drop you." He said as he started walking towards his car and I followed him silently, I could hear the three ladies giggling behind us, and I had no idea why.

He unlocked the car as we both got in, I tried to fasten the seatbelt but it was stuck, no matter how much I pulled it, it wouldn't move.

"Let me help you." Arnav said as he noticed me struggling with it, he moved closer trying to pull it, like he was so close to me at this moment, almost leaning on me, there was like an inch of space only between us and I swear I had never ever felt like this before.

Feeling him so close to me I felt like my heart was racing, I couldn't stop wondering how it would feel if the space was there, it would be basically us hugging, I couldn't stop wondering how hugging Arnav would feel like.

Oh God Khushi, please put a hold on your thoughts, he was just trying to help, why was I thinking about hugging him?

"I am sorry, I don't know what's wrong with it." He apologized as he tried to lean in a bit more, while he did that he almost fell over but I grabbed his hand and held him up, when I held his hand he looked at me in surprise.

He sat back on his seat still looking at me in surprise but he wouldn't pull his hand out of my hold, and me I was just feeling all kind of butterflies while holding his hand. Okay, what was happening to me? Why was I so attracted to him? Everything about him just made me so nervous, so happy and gave me butterflies.

He suddenly pulled off his hand and looked ahead nervously as I grabbed the seatbelt trying to pull it, I pulled it so hard it actually slid down finally.

I clipped it as he turned on the engine and drove off, he kept on driving silently while I kept on looking at him, I was really curious as to why he looked so surprised when I held his hand, didn't he want me to touch him or anything or was it something else?

"Can I ask something?" I asked.

"Sure." He nodded.

"Why did you look so surprised when I grabbed your hand so you wouldn't fall?"

"He looked at me plainly, with no expressions on his face and then looked back ahead and remained silent, maybe he dint want to answer me.

"I don't know if it would make sense but it just felt a familiar kind of touch, I really don't have the words to explain it, I just... it reminded me of something I had forgotten." He said.

No Arnav, it dint make sense, what had you forgotten? Why was my touch reminding you of it? Oh, I had so many questions to ask but I preferred not to ask them, he would think I'm too nosy so I just sat there silently stealing glances at him while he drove and smiled to myself. Something was definitely happening to me.
