TONY JACKSON-The Longest, Strangest Week
This had to be the strangest week of his life. If you would have told him his father was white, he'd laughed at you. He was half white? Nothing in him felt like he was not all Black through and through.
Ethan Van Russell had blond hair and blue eyes. He looked whiter than white. He looked a lot like Chrissy, nothing like Ejay. Nothing like him.
But he sat there and listened to how his mother and uh...father were in a relationship that they could not tell anyone. How his mother left Ethan and moved away. How she did everything she could to make sure Ethan never knew.
She knew when she saw him and Chrissy getting close it would be hard.
"Just seeing you with her...your sister...I knew I should tell both of you."
"Chrissy won't talk to me anymore."
"We all need some adjusting," Ethan said. "Matter of fact, I need to go talk to Chrissy and Ejay about this. I want both of you to come."
"Why me?" his mother asked.
"You're part of me now, babe. Let's get this over with."
Ethan did not seem like this horrible creep Chrissy always told him about. He seemed to care about his mother, so that was good. He did not know if Chrissy would like to share her father when she rarely got to spend time with him, but Tony knew he wanted a relationship with him. Whatever he could get.
When they pulled up to the Van Russell Estates, Tony was in awe. He never was close to the infamous Van Russell mansion. It was more than he imagined it would be. He knew the Van Russells were rich, but they were rich-rich. His family had lots of money, but this was insanely rich.
"This crib is dope," Tony said, fascinated as they drove around the massive driveway.
"I can't believe this is the same house, sorry, mansion, I remember running the hall," his mother said.
"Yeah, and me chasing you," Ethan said, kissing her neck.
"Uh, excuse me?" Tony said.
Ugh! He had to get used to that. His mom never even dated, so seeing her with a guy, even his biological father was too much.
"Come on, let's see who is here."
Ethan started to take them on a tour around the place. They ran into a few of the staff and he introduced them. Damn! They had a slew of help to run that big place. Then he called out for Chrissy and Ejay.
"Like they can hear in this place," Tony mumbled under his breath.
Ejay came in first.
"Dad! You're home!" He looked him over. "What happened to you?"
"Just a scuffle."
"You were in a fight?"
"Nothing serious."
"It looks bad!" Ejay turned to Tony. "Hey, Tony."
"What's up E," Tony said, giving him a fist bump. Damn! That was his little brother.
He barely knew Ejay, but sometimes when he hung with Chrissy, Ejay would tag along, the bothersome little brother.
"Where's Chrissy?" Ethan asked.
"Still mad at you. She wouldn't tell me why."
"Chrissy!" Ethan yelled angrily.
"Dad seriously, what's going on?" Ejay said.
"Wait right here."
Ethan went off. Tony turned to his mother who shrugged, then look to Ejay, he also shrugged.
CHRISSY VAN RUSSELL-From Big Sister to Middle Child
She heard her father call her, but whatever. What could he do to her? He was never much of a father, now he had three kids to be a deadbeat too.
Her father pushed open the door.
"Young lady, when I call you, you come."
"I don't want to talk to you."
"Oh yeah? You don't have to talk, but you have to listen. Tony and Donna are here, we need to talk."
Tony was here? And his mom? All week long she tried to avoid Tony. She did not know what to say to him. What could she say?
But she knew one thing. She missed him.
She jumped off her bed and followed her father. Donna Jackson sat on the sofa, Tony sat beside her. Ejay stood, hand in his pockets, looking like a dork.
"Tony, let me sit by your mom, okay," her father said.
Tony got up, sat on the other sofa. Chrissy stood there. She watched her father sit beside Donna and hold her hand. That almost brought a smile to her face. Seeing her father's sign of affection. He did have a heart.
"Chrissy, I know you already know and haven't told Ejay."
"Wasn't for me to tell."
"Good."
"Tell me what?" Ejay asked.
"About me and Donna. A long time ago, before I married your mother, I was deeply in love with someone else. This sweet lady here," he said and kissed her hand. "But things didn't work out, we parted ways, I didn't know she had my son."
"Your son?" Ejay said, hands jumping out of his pockets.
"Ejay, Tony's my son."
"No way!"
"Which means he's your brother."
Chrissy looked at Tony in a new light. Sure, she thought she was attracted to him and maybe she was, but it wasn't the kind of attraction she felt for any other boy. It was proven when she kissed him. She did not feel sparks, she did not feel magic, it was just weird.
She was supposed to feel close to him because they had the same DNA flowing through them.
"I've had some time to think on all this," Chrissy said. "And I'm cool with it."
"This bites! No way! I'm your son, dad," Ejay said.
"I know Ejay. Now Tony is too."
"But that's not fair! I barely get half a dad and now I have to get less than a third?"
"It's not a competition, I care about all of you the same," her father said.
"No, you don't. You don't care about any of us," Ejay said. "So now you have another son, big fucking deal! I hate you!"
Ejay stormed out.
"Oh Ethan, you need to go talk to him," Donna said.
Chrissy watched her father take a deep sigh and sit back on the couch then grabbed his side.
"There's only so much I can say."
"It's okay dad. He'll come around like I did," Chrissy said. She walked over to Tony. "Friends again? I mean, big brother."
Tony grinned at her and stood to hug her.
"Friends, little sister."
DONNA JACKSON-Rekindled Flame
That brought a tear to her eye. She loved that they were already so close.
"You did good Ethan," Donna whispered and kissed his cheek.
"Babe, I don't feel so good."
He held his side, a strained look on his face.
"What's wrong? Do you need to go back to the doctor? Come on, let's go."
"No, I just need to lay down."
"What's wrong dad?" Chrissy rushed to his side. "Who did this to you?"
"Don't worry your pretty little head, okay," Ethan replied and hugged her. "Thanks for being a good daughter. I want to be a better father to you."
"I know daddy, I know you'll try."
"Come on Ethan, let me take you to your room."
"Will you stay the night with me?"
Donna hesitated. In the Van Russell mansion? She looked at Chrissy.
"Oh, it's okay. You need to take care of my dad."
"Tony can stay too. We have plenty of room."
"Yay!" Chrissy cheered.
"No. I have to get home. School tomorrow."
"Aaw!"
"Okay son, be safe," she told him, helping Ethan up. "Point me in the right direction, I don't remember this place so well."
"We've done updates since you were last here. I'm down in the north wing," he kissed her neck. "I get to have a sleepover now."
"No sir, nothing going on tonight. You sleep, that's it."
But once they were undressed, Donna could not resist Ethan when his hands were all over her. He swallowed some pain meds, she climbed on board and rocked him to sleep.
********************
When she woke up, Ethan lay beside her snoring loudly. She rolled out of the bed and headed to the shower. Ethan had more beauty products in his shower than she did. She washed her hair and stood under the warm water longer than she needed. She pulled her kinky-curly mass of hair in a braid then wrapped a towel around herself.
As she left the bathroom, Ethan stood there naked, causing her to scream and jump. Her towel dropped to the floor.
"You scared me!"
"Sorry."
He grabbed her and pulled her back to the shower.
"I need you to wash me."
Donna giggled.
"What are you going to do when you're not so helpless?"
"I guess go back to see your brothers, let them use me as a punching bag, and then get my nurse Donna."
Donna playfully punched his shoulder.
"Not funny."
"When you get all feisty, I want you even more."
They made love in the shower and Donna could not take much more of that insatiable man. He got her all flustered. She had work to do. She had a job. She still had to raise her son and she felt like she was neglecting him.
"Ethan, I think I should go to work today."
They dried off and Donna put on one of his shirts.
"Why?"
"Because I have a job...it doesn't stop when I'm gone. I'll be pulling overtime for the next few weeks."
"So you're going to leave me?"
"You're fine. You're home. Just rest. I need coffee, can I-"
"Make yourself at home, sweetie."
Donna went off toward the massive kitchen. The coffee pot was already brewing. She grabbed a mug and waited. One of the many maids must have gotten it going.
She was bending over the counter waiting for her morning fix of caffeine when she heard someone behind her clear their throat. She turned. It was an older but attractive woman. She was dressed in dark slacks and a very pretty print shirt. Designer. Like a $500 shirt. This was no maid.
"Uh...hello."
"I'm guessing Ethan's home."
"Um yeah. I'm his friend...."
"Oh, I know who you are." She walked over and grabbed a mug. "Donna Jackson, correct."
"Yes. How'd you--"
"Ethan told me about you."
"Sorry, I--"
"I'm Doreen Van Russell, Ethan's stepmother."
"Oh! Hi!" Donna said, then gasped. She was in nothing but Ethan's shirt. "Let me go get dressed."
"Nonsense dear, stay and have your coffee," She grabbed the pot. "I know how I am if I don't get mine soon as I wake up."
She poured herself a cup and then tilted the pot toward Donna and poured hers.
Donna was still stunned. Ethan told his stepmother about her. She was curious about what, but she kept quiet.
Ethan walked in, thankfully all dressed.
"Great! My two favorite ladies." He grabbed Doreen and kissed her cheek, then he grabbed Donna, and passionately kissed her, his hand climbing up the shirt and holding her butt.
"Ethan," she said with a blush.
"Oh don't worry dear, Ethan's just showing off. If his father was here, well, you couldn't keep the two of us off each other."
"Did you hear the news?" Ethan asked.
"Ummm, what news?"
"We're having a baby!"
"Ethan!" Donna yelped.
"Come again?" Doreen raised an eyebrow.
"Well no, see what actually happened, she already had the baby. A boy! Eighteen years ago."
"Oh, I see."
"And we've rekindled our flame," Ethan informed, kissing her. "I love you, baby."
"I love you too Ethan."
