Chapter 33

A/N: So I've been getting a lot of questions about having a social media for you to follow outside of Wattpad and decided that it might actually be a fun idea to make one just for my writing. I figured it would be an easier way to actually interact with you guys as a whole instead of posting things as A/Ns or on my conversations tab. I figured I could do Q&A's with my characters, me, or just writing in general, I could post sneak peeks of my next chapters and any fanart that you guys submit. IDK I just figured it might be fun. Is this something that you guys would be interested in?

Khloe's POV:

Nico faced away from me, yet stood shorter than me as I ran the conditioner that gave off just the slightest smell of eucalyptus through his hair.

He had spent a good 10 minutes washing and conditioning my hair earlier, his steady hands taking their time to massage my scalp in the process.

Although some of that time was from the couple quick kisses we'd grab from each other every time Nico got 'distracted'.

Either way, It made me look forward to the massage I was promised even more, and made me want to reciprocate the best I could.

The bath managed to maintain its temperature as time went on and the water filtered through, making sure that the warm, relaxing atmosphere never disappeared.

I drew my fingers from behind his ears towards me, collecting the strands of hair that nearly reached the bottom of his neck when wet, deciding to let my hands continue their way down his neck and shoulders.

Much to the satisfaction of the vampire in front of me, a short purr rumbling with his exhale.

A smile peaked on my lips as I lightly drew my fingertips over his shoulder blades, continuing to train down his back into the water.

I squinted as an idea came to my mind.

"You have a really nice back," I spoke in a matter-of-fact way.

Well, it really was a fact.

Nico breathed out a laugh, turning his head just enough to see me.

"Oh yeah?" he responded, the eyebrow I could see quirking up in amusement.

"Yeah," I repeated his words, the idea growing in my head as I continued to look over the visible parts of him through the dark blue water.

I blushed a bit before speaking my next words.

"Can I um," I paused for only a moment, "Paint on it one day?"

I remember seeing a couple of my sister's friends paint each other's backs way back when.

The thought to try it had never occurred to me until now.

His eyes widened as he turned fully to face me.

Luckily he looked like he actually liked the idea.

"Absolutely yes," He spoke with full seriousness, "I would love that."

"Wait, really?" I questioned.

For some reason, I wasn't expecting it to be that easy.

"Of course. You know I love your art."

My blush grew deeper in color.

"W-well yeah, but I didn't think that meant you'd be okay with being the canvas." I countered.

"I'll be whatever you want, sweetheart," he quipped, adding a playful wink.

I involuntarily took a small step back, fully prepared to blame the ever-deepening color of my face on the temperature in the room.

Before I could even begin to form words, his smooth, oddly perfect laugh cut in.

He still found victory in flustering me, as did I whenever I managed to do the same to him.

His arms wrapped lightly around me, his head setting under my chin.

"I'm more than happy to be your canvas, Khloe." He spoke, his arms now holding the middle of my back, "What are you going to paint?"

That I did know but didn't want to share quite yet.

I relaxed a bit at this question, cupping my hands under the water and pouring it onto the top of his head as I began to rinse his hair.

"Its a surprise," I said, the words being ironic despite him not knowing why.

I felt his shoulders slump.

"Do you want to do it today? We can make time for it." He offered, his eagerness to know what it was going to be being more than evident.

I shook my head as I ran my hands down his hair, trying to aid the water in doing its job.

"Nah," I replied, "I don't really want to cover your back in paint the same day that we spent a decent amount of time in a bath. We can just do it the next time you get done with your work early."

"So what I'm hearing is that I have to take another day off?" He questioned wittily.

"That is absolutely not what I said." I rebuked, "I'm keeping you to your 'Just this once' remark. If you get in trouble we'll see each other even less."

And that was the last thing that I wanted.

He chuckled lightly, burying his face into the crook of my neck as he pulled me tighter.

"I know I know. I won't let that happen."

"Good," I responded, running my hands through his hair to make sure I got all of the conditioner out.

Concluding that I did, I just continued my actions, knowing how much he liked it.

I smirked in victory once I felt his purr, followed by the placement of a couple soft kisses against my neck.

I'm sure he rejoiced in the goose-bumps that rose on my skin and the soft gasp I let out whenever he was near my neck.

We continued like that for a few blissful moments, cherishing the feeling of having the other one so close in such a relaxing setting.

No doubts, no worries, just me and him.

These were the moments I craved whenever he was gone all day and most of the night.

I tried to remember moments like this whenever I missed him, but this real feeling was irreplaceable.

My blissful thoughts came to an end when his purrs ceased.

My concern grew as Nico slowly pulled away, a slightly uncomfortable look on his face.

He met my eye for barely a second before speaking.

"Do you still want me to feed from you whenever I get those... cravings?"

I blinked at him, slightly relieved at the fact that this was the what made him suddenly act like that.

"Is this because of the blood moon or just weird timing?" I asked, not that it really affected what my answer was going to be.

"Weird timing I swear. The first sign of craving just hit me out of nowhere and I figured if I just feed as soon as I feel it, it'll be easier." He spoke like he was trying to comfort me, but he was panicking a lot more than I was right now.

Which was... different.

I knew he wasn't too fond of the idea of using my blood to sate his craving from a live source, despite the fact that his instincts were telling him to now that we were together.

He also mentioned once that he hated remembering the first two times he fed from me and hated the idea of a bite ever happening like that again.

Especially after the last blood moon.

He spoke almost like he thought I was scared.

Which, in all honesty, I wasn't.

It was weird because I felt like whether I trusted him or not, there should be some fear in the thought of a vampire drinking your blood.

But there wasn't.

Even if Nico feared losing his ability to control himself, I knew he wouldn't. Not with me.

"Yeah, go for it," I said casually, tucking my hair to the opposite side that he always chose to feed on.

Nico was stunned by my easy answer, to say the least.

"Really?" He questioned, "You're sure?"

I nodded, noting the bit of nervousness in his eyes now that I accepted.

It was an odd look for him, but really showed how he felt about this situation.

I guess after having to perform a blood transfusion on me after the first time he fed from me, and then me just barely getting by after the second was clouding his mind at the moment.

Despite the third time going well.

Maybe the fact that it was a craving instead of a normal circumstance was the reason.

And because of the fact that feeding from your lover was supposed to feel amazing and intimate.

But unlike a vampire, my blood was limited.

He didn't know what was going to happen once he tasted my blood like that for the first time.

"Right here?" He asked, gesturing to the room with his eyes.

I shrugged, "Sure why not. Maybe the water will help us both relaxed," I said with a knowing look.

He let out a short nervous laugh as he glanced down at his hands.

I stepped forwards in the water, taking his hands into mine.

"You're not gonna hurt me, Nico. I confident in that."

He just looked at me for a moment.

"How are you so calm about this?" He asked.

"Because it's you," I answered without missing a beat.

My answer caught him by surprise judging by the look on his face, but apparently eased some of his nerves.

He swallowed hard before nodding and blowing out an exhale.

I turned my head to expose more of my neck as he slowly leaned towards me.

He paused a couple inches away.

"If something goes wrong, or you start to feel weak, shove me off," he spoke in a completely serious tone.

The thought of mentioning that I did that with Layla and ended up with two gashes in my skin crossed my mind, bet decided now probably wasn't the best time.

So instead I nodded with a soft smile that told him I wasn't going to need to.

He accepted and leaned in closer, one handing wrapping around my middle while the other set itself in my hair.

I felt him hesitate with the tension in his body.

So, I wrapped my arms around him as well, lightly rubbing the base of his neck and his shoulders.

It was only a few seconds longer before I felt his fangs bite into my skin.

My entire body tensed on instinct at the piercing pain. Even my eyes squeezed shut, but I dared not make a sound save for the breath I released in an act to get my body to loosen up.

I didn't want to make him feel worse about this.

The actual bite was the worst part of this anyways. After that, the pain only lessened.

I knew by now to stay still.

I felt Nico's involuntary purr start up once he swallowed the first of my blood helping coax me back into relaxation.

A small noise came from the back of his throat before he pulled me fully against him, somehow managing to keep the fangs embedded in my skin still.

Then he let out one of the breathiest moans I had ever heard from him, the tension he held in his shoulders almost completely disappearing.

The sound of it made me blush but in an odd way, made me feel prideful.

In fact, I couldn't help but smile a bit, my body relaxing fully into him.

The small rub of his thumb on my head was enough to tell me that yes, he had this under control.

The pain at this point was at manageable, as long as I didnt move.

I continue rubbing his neck and back as I listened in to his intakes.

They were slow, I could tell he was pacing himself.

I could see his skin gain just a bit of color with each time he swallowed, and I could feel his heart racing.

Eventually, I just closed my eyes, letting the warmth and sound of the water around us fill my senses.

Not long after, he slowly and carefully removed his fangs from me, his tongue taking its place.

The hand in my hair left to join his other one in an embrace.

I opened my eyes as the rest of the tension he held in his body disappeared.

He placed a languid kiss on my neck where he had bit, slowly rising to meet my eye.

I was met with his now deep crimson eyes, the color within them swirling like blood itself.

The look in them was one of discovery.

"So?" I asked.

"Wow," He breathed out with a smile, "That was... wow."

He removed one of his hands from around of me, seeing the different shade in his skin.

"I can feel you," He began, looking amazed at this point, "In a way... Its like through your blood, I can feel your heart beat in my body."

He closed his eyes for a moment, focusing on that feeling for a moment.

I just stared at him with wonder, basking in his excitement.

"How long does it last?" I asked out of curiosity

"I don't know," He admitted, his eyes opening, "I hope for a while because this is just..." I guess he couldn't figure out how to finish because he just shook his head with a chuckle.

This was obviously a big deal for a vampire, and I for one found it interesting.

I wanted to know what was so special about sharing blood with your lover.

I wished to be able to experience what he was feeling for myself but knew that there was no way.

"And the taste," He began again, "Wow..."

He looked at me again, the pure love and admiration in his eyes making me melt.

"Thank you, Khloe. For giving me this." He said.

"Thank you for letting me" I responded.

He held me close, kissing the top of my head before resting his there.

"I love you. More than I ever thought was possible." He spoke slowly, making sure I heard every word.

It honestly made me tear up.

Burying my head into his chest and tightening my grip on him, I spoke through my now quivering voice.

"I love you too."
