Alves:ah Mirabel such a wonderful treat it is to see you today, and I see you've brought some of my sheep with you today

*Father Alves said, seeing the small group of people leaving the encanto, And again, Dolores was hiding behind her 15 year old cousin/fiancee, scared of father alves creepy smile. Mirabel just smiled back, knowing that was just his normal smile*

Mirabel: hello father Alves, I'm here for the monthly letters

Alves:ah yes yes, of course. And here I thought you were finally rejoining my flock

*Alves said with a small smirk, Mirabel snorted softly, ignoring the look her sisters were giving her*

Mirabel: I'm good, got a big pile today?

Alves:yes yes of course. One moment please.

*Alves said turning around and walking to his office, Mirabel just hummed and waited for Luisa or Isabela, probably Isabela to say something*

Isabela:what did he mean by that? You go to church

Mirabel:whenever Father Alves needs some help, or for the letters sure. But I haven't gone to church on Sunday in years.

*Mirabel said casually, Isabela looked shocked at her little sister, and she shot her an angry look*

Isabela:Mirabel what's the matter with you?!

Mirabel:keep your voice down, your at the house of the Lord

*Mirabel scolded with a firm tone, Isabela scoffed, crossing her arms and glaring at her. In the background Mariano was unsure on what to do*

Isabela:oh! So now you care

Mirabel:Isabela again, lower your voice

*Mirabel said, talking down at Isabela as if she was a child. Isabela was livid, Luisa and Mariano were nervous, and Dolores? She was loving seeing Isabela's face so red*

Alves:yes please. This is the Lord's house

Dolores:eep! D... don't do that!

*Dolores yelled but of course, her yell is about the same as being a soft spoken voice, Since father Alves came out of nowhere like he usually does, it freaked Dolores out. Father Alves just smiled at her, with the backpack full of letters on his back. Isabela snapped her head at the father of the church*

Isabela:but father Alves Mirabel hasn't gone to Sunday church in years! How can you be so calm?!

Alves:because she doesn't need to be here, you can't force someone to come to church

*Alves said calmly, Mirabel took the backpack and looked at the father with concern, the bag was more heavy than it normally is, but Alves didn't show any discomfort*

Mirabel:thank you father Alves

Isabela:but you have to come to Sunday every Sunday!

*Isabela yelled, feeling like she was going insane, also the fact that this just gives her an excuse to just, yell at anything, to get her frustrations out. Alves just moved his head to the side, looking puzzled*

Alves:why?

Isabela:why?! Because Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Or have you forgotten about it?!

*Isabela yelled, feeling a headache coming on, Mariano finally acted, putting his hands on Isabela's shoulders, giving her a small massage to help her calm down, but it didn't help, seeing as Isabela didn't want him touching her. Father Alves didn't speak for a moment, letting Isabela calm down*

Alves:no I haven't, but Isabela. Nobody is perfect, it's a worse sin to pretend to be perfect, since only god is perfect.

*Alves said, that little statement made Isabela flinch, that's when it dawned on her, that she was spewing scripture to a holy man, who's been studying his religion all his life*

Alves: all of you have sins, sins God forgives you for, as long as you accepts him in your heart. And accept him as your Savior

Mirabel:and I believe and accept God in my heart, I know he's my savior. I just don't believe in organized religion

*Mirabel explained, and she got a pat on the head for it from father Alves. Father Alves chuckled when Dolores pulled her back from him. Alves looked at the younger members of his flock*

Alves:and that's completely ok. We all sin, 'Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales' that's a Bible verse but I still eat a good lobster or fried soft shell crabs with a little salt and lemon, every now and again.

Mirabel"note to self, bring some soft shell crabs for Father Alves, for putting Isabela in her place"

*Mirabel thought with a small smirk. Alves looked at Isabela with a stern finger point, but a loving smile looking at a very lost and confused sheep of his flock*

Alves:The point I'm making Isabela, is that God loves us all despite of our sins, we are his children. Even those who don't believe in him, god loves them. So please, don't judge your sister, since only god can judge somebody

Dolores:then alma is gonna have a lot to explain for once she goes and see him

*Dolores said softly to Mirabel's ear, making her giggle a little. But she took the charge again*

Mirabel:thank you for the lecture father Alves, it was very insightful, for all of us. But I'm sure it was especially insightful for Isabela. But we really must get going, it's a long journey to San Jose

Alves:of course, have a safe journey, all of you. Now excuse me, my back is hurting from that bag, I must lay down

*Alves said, waving them off as they walked away, with Isabela staying quiet, feeling embarrassed by her outburst, and being called out like that, Mariano was next to her smiling and trying to console her. Luisa walked next to Dolores and Mirabel*

Luisa:so....that was something. You want me to carry the backpack? If it hurts Alves back, it must be heavy for you

Mirabel:not really, it's like holding a couple of grapes, father Alves is just a very frail man.

*Mirabel said, and Dolores couldn't help but give Mirabel a side eye, giving all the heavy things she's seen Mirabel carry, she really was a secret powerhouse. Mirabel on the other hand, looked at Luisa with a stern look, that Luisa found adorable*

Mirabel:besides, you already have everyone's backpack, the bags of jewels, the  camping gear, need i go on?

Luisa:....but it's only a mail bag, what's one more thing

*Luisa said with a nervous smile, now Mirabel was starting to scare Luisa, since she didn't have and adorable smile, but an serious frown, as she crossed her arms*

Mirabel:say it.

Luisa:what...Mirabel but, here? I...In public?

*Luisa whispered nervously, but Mirabel's expression didn't change, in fact it got worse when she raised an eyebrow, Isabela was more than just surprised that Mirabel could have such a reaction on Luisa, unlike with her where Luisa just gives short responses*

Isabela"of course she has a reaction. Those two spend to much time together, they actually love each other. When was the last time you spend time with Luisa?"

*The Little voice inside of Isabela's head was heard, but as always Isabela ignored it, and plastered that plastic smile on her face as they walked, mirabel was walking backwards, not breaking her gaze from a nervous Luisa, who was growing more and more nervous, since Mirabel wasn't blinking. As for Dolores, she was holding Mirabel's hand to make sure she didn't trip on something. The gaze was too much for Luisa so she sighed*

Luisa: I'm....I'm not a mule, I'm a person who has limits.

Mirabel: terrific, that's why we're going to Osvaldo's farm, he already has a big cart for us, and a donkey he'll let us borrow for the trip. And I swear if I hear one peep out of you, that we don't need a donkey, that you can pull the cart yourself, you will feel these hands

*Mirabel said turning around and walking normally, like nothing happened. Isabela froze for a second, the thought of having to journey a couple of days with that demon spiked her panic button in her brain, but since the perfect flower doesn't panic, she just smiled like she was ok with it*

Scene change

*We see our small group ready to leave, they were at the outskirts of the encanto, for Isabela and luisa, it was a big step and they were nervous to take the first step. For Dolores she was excited to leave the encanto again, and finally for Mariano and Mirabel? They were more calm on the subject, seeing as it wasn't even the 100th time for them. Mirabel's smile became a little smaller when she saw her parents there, she was still very much angry that they tried to take this job away from her, but unlike Dolores who just gives a cold shoulder to her parents, Mirabel remained civil*

Mirabel:Mami, papi, so nice of you to see us off

Julieta:of course, please be careful, all of you the outside...

*Julieta tried to say, tried to add some guilt to make Mirabel second guess this decision, was it a bad way to do things? Yes. But Julieta just wanted her children to be safe. But unfortunately for her, Mirabel didn't buy it, she raised her hand before she could start*

Mirabel:it's a dangerous place if you don't what your doing. I know, but me and Mariano know what we're doing, and we'll keep an eye out on everybody.

Mariano:very true, so please say your goodbyes, since the journey will be long, seeing as we'll have to take the longer way to San Jose.....you heard me Mirabel right?

*Mariano said giving her the biggest side eye, Mirabel just rolled her eyes at the big baby*

Mirabel:oh don't be such a baby, my way is perfectly safe. But fine we'll do it your way. We'll go the slow way

Mariano:safe, you meant the safe way

*Mariano said with a tired look on his eyes, but Mirabel just looked at her nails, in the background Agustin and Julieta said goodbye to Luisa and Isabela, with kissing and hugging*

Mirabel:I know what I said. Well let's head off!

*Mirabel said, giving the donkey a little tap, the donkey made a noise of agreement and started walking, everyone started leaving, and then Mirabel did someone that hurt her parents deeply, she dodged then hugging or kissing her. It hurts them, but Dolores was loving seeing Mirabel so petty*

Mirabel:I'll see you, when I see you

*Was all Mirabel said to them before walking next to Luisa and Dolores. Julieta and agustin watched them go with sad eyes"
