Dolores:Mirabel....can I tell you something about Bruno?

Late at night

*We see the madrigal family eating, well all but two of them. Camilo looked at the empty chairs, and smirked a little*

Camilo:looks like, somebody doesn't appreciate eating, at a appropriate time

Alma:Mirabel, already told me they would be late, stop trying to get her in trouble, your in enough trouble, yourself as it is

*Alma said with a small frown on her face, looking at Camilo, at the back of her mind, thinking of a way, to make the punishment stick, Camilo rolled his eyes and kept eating*

Antonio:they? But, Mirabel goes cave exploring alone on Fridays

Alma:well, she took Dolores with her, make sense, there to be engaged, so it's best if they spend a lot of time to....wait, there doing what?

*Alma said surprised, and she wasn't the only one, multiple family members looked at Antonio, for knowledge, on what the youngest female madrigal is doing*

Antonio:on Friday, she likes to explore. she told me, that somebody gave her a map, of a cave with treasure inside of it

Isabela:she actually fell for that? Honestly, Mirabel. What's the matter with you

*Isabela muttered to herself, alma was about to scold her, but since she kept it to herself, unlike Camilo, she let slide this time*

Alma:well, I'm sure they'll have a wonderful story, to tell us, when they come back

Antonio:she said she was going alone

*Antonio said softly to himself, becoming angry, since in his point of view, mirabel ditched him for Dolores. When the reality was that Antonio was too young, and spelunking was far too dangerous for him. The family made through half the meal, before they heard the door opening*

Mirabel: let's take a shower, I'm pretty sure, everyone else already ate, so I'll cook us something my little fanihi

Dolores:that sounds lovely, thank you

*The family heard the two girls talk, Julieta got up and walked to them, extremely worried for her daughter's safety, after what Antonio told them, what she was doing*

Julieta:Mirabel! Are you ok?

Mirabel: mom, please. Lower your voice, you'll hurt Dolores's ears like that

*Mirabel said sternly, since sadly, Dolores had to take them off, both Mirabel and Dolores feared, what would happen, if the family found out, that Mirabel found a way to take away Dolores's gift, Dolores on a much greater scale, since she finally has some relief, she can hear normally and not have a consistent headache for a few hours at least, she's not going back there again, she can't go back there again. Julieta stopped talking for a moment, but then looked at Mirabel, giving her a stern look, her tone did become softer though*

Julieta:I'm sorry Dolores, and as for you Mirabel, where have you been?

Mirabel: I've been on a lot of places today, the church, the bakery, to visit serñora Rodriguez, you know her family doesn't visit her anymore? It's simply awful, but yeah, I've been to a lot of places

*Mirabel said with a finger on her chin, acting innocent, Julieta crossed her arm, not amused*

Julieta: where was the last place you and Dolores went

Mirabel:the last place we went? Well here of course, Casita is the last place Dolores and myself went to, and are currently in

*Mirabel said innocently, Dolores had to bite her cheek, to hide the smirk that wanted to appear. Julieta started to grow annoyed*

Julieta:what were you and Dolores doing, before coming to Casita, the last thing you did before coming over here, and don't you dare say, walking

Mirabel:fine, the last thing we did before coming here? Was hold hands

*Mirabel said smiling brightly, Julieta's eye started to twitch quite a bit*

Julieta:what did you and Dolores do a few hours ago, your last activity together

Mirabel:huh? I showed Dolores one of my many interest, it was quite an eye opener for her. I mean, it was abuela, who said we should spend more time together, and what better way to do just that, then doing hobbies together

Dolores:you can say that again

*Dolores muttered to herself, getting a stronger grip to the bag she was holding, Julieta took a hot breath, tapping her foot on the ground, with a very annoyed smile on her face*

Julieta:and what is this hobby young lady?

Mirabel:huh? What do you mean? I've told you what it is, so many times. You should know by now what it is, by heart

*Julieta flinched and started to rack her brain, to when Mirabel could've told her that, a memory she will never find, since it never happened. Dolores put her hand over her mouth, she was controlling her breathing, since she couldn't help but find this amusing. The cherry on top, being Mirabel's hurt expression. A fake hurt expression*

Mirabel;let me guess, you don't remember ? What else is new, I bet if it was Isabela you would've remembered

*Mirabel said softly, but it still hit Julieta like a dagger to the heart, Mirabel sighed shaking her head disappointed, she walked past her mother, with Dolores following suit, when Julieta couldn't see them, how they both grow evil smiles on there faces. Did I mention that Mirabel is also a cat person? They made it to the dinning area, and saw the others waiting for them*

Agustin:ah, Mirabel how was spelunking?

Mirabel:oh it was fantastic, the cave we explored was so beautiful

*Mirabel said smiling, admitting what they were doing, without a single complaint, they sat down, and started grabbing what was left of the food on the table*

Camilo:so, where's this treasure you found?

Isabela:honestly, I can't believe you two, wasted all day on some fake treasure hunt

*Isabela said with a scoffed, jealous that they get to have fun, while she's trapped. Dolores gave Isabela a big smirk, as she opened the bag she was holding, and dumped it all on the table, out of it came precious stones, like emeralds, Rubies, sapphires, lapis, peridot, etc. the whole family was gobsmacked, the feeling is shock doubled when Mirabel did the same things, grabbing the biggest ruby in the table, it was the size of her palm*

Mirabel:fake? Oh man, I can't believe someone went to the trouble, to place all this fake jewels, in the walls of the cave. Man don't I have egg on my face huh?

Camilo:.... Holy shit!!

*Camilo yelled, instantly a thunder was heard outside, but Camilo didn't care about him angering his mother, he tried to touch one of the many precious gems, only to get his hand slapped by Dolores*

Dolores:who said you could touch it? This belongs to us. I didn't spend hours mining, to share it, I barely want to share my half to Mirabel

Mirabel:the feeling is mutual, but that's not important, enjoy it while you can, when we go back to San Jose, we'll sell them off

*Mirabel said, putting the gems back in the sack, dolores followed suit, alma shakes her head, going out of the shock, and just looks at her two grandchildren*

Alma:where....how...just how?

Mirabel:to make a long story short, and old man gave me a map for some cash, since he was too old to reach the location of the treasure anymore. So I paid him double what he asked, you know to be nice. And he gave me this map

*Mirabel said shrugging, making a knot do the bag, since he didn't trust the look Pepa and Isabela were giving the bag*

Alma:I see, and you are gonna sell them?

Mirabel:most of them yes. I think I'm gonna keep a ruby, and a lapis, make rings out of them, with the ruby for me and Dolores, the lapis on the other hand, I'm keeping that one, for my collection , since I just love lapides, and there rich blue color

*Mirabel said with a finger on her chin, no one noticed the very slight blush on Dolores's cheeks, thinking of the rings....she was also thinking about Mariano proposing, with set ring, but you know, baby steps*

Alma:....did you just say collection?

Mirabel:indeed I did. I have a small collection, of precious gems. But that's not important, the rest of them I'm gonna sell, which reminds me, I need to talk to Mariano, he's gonna need, to come with me next time I go to San Jose

*Mirabel said thinking out loud, that caused both Isabela and Dolores, to get exited. For two very different reasons. Isabela was the first to act*

Isabela:well! If Mariano is going, I'll have to tag along, he is my fiance after all.

Camilo:wait a minute, that's not fair! That mean I'll have to collect all those donkeys by myself!

*Camilo complained, since the builder, was still not finished making the new fence, one good look from alma, shut Camilo up*

Alma: Mirabel, why do you need Mariano to go with you?

Mirabel:because, I need him to sell the gems, when i sell them, the jerk always gives me an awful deal, since I'm a woman, with Mariano. I can get more money

*Mirabel said, hinting at the bad parts of the outside world, a hint that went unnoticed, alma sighed, and finished her food*

Alma: I'll speak with his grandmother about it, see what she thinks about Mariano, leaving the encanto for a bit

Mirabel: she'll be fine, it's not the first time Mariano left the village, honestly Dolores and myself excluded, the madrigal family is the only one never to leave this village

*Mirabel said with a shrug starting to eat, leaving what she said, to fester inside there minds. All the while Dolores was busy daydreaming, of the month where she'll get  to walk next to Mariano. Speak with him, be able to smell him. Oh it was too much to bare, the wait for it*
