Dolores:i hate this, I hate all of this

Mirabel: you've said that before honey

*Mirabel said used to her complaining, we see them inside a cave, Mirabel had a lantern in her hand as they walked deeper in to the cave. Dolores was taking out of her worry, when she looked at Mirabel with a raised eyebrow*

Dolores:honey? Where did that come from?

Mirabel:I don't know, I mean, by the end of the year we'll be married, I just...well I just thought we could take baby steps to be more comfortable do that ending

*Mirabel said with a shrug, Dolores hummed in agreement, she walked a bit faster to be next to Mirabel, instead of behind her, and held her free hand*

Dolores:ok...sugar lump....wow, that was awful

Mirabel:you won't hear me disagreeing

*Mirabel said with a small smirk, Dolores scoffed and pushed her playfully*

Dolores:hey, you already used honey, that's the easiest one there is

Mirabel:whatever you say, my little fanihi

*Mirabel said with a small smirk, throwing out another nickname as smooth as butter, Dolores grew annoyed, with a smile on her face, crossing her arms*

Dolores:ok, nos your making up things, what the hell is a fanihi?

Mirabel: a species of fruit bat, very big, with black fur, and the most adorable eyes of any creatures

*Mirabel said with a sigh, since she wanted one as a pet, since she first saw them in picture books, but with time came Wisdom, the wisdom to know that keeping a bat as a pet would only harm the animal. Dolores didn't see it that way, and she looked at Mirabel annoyed*

Dolores:so, I'm a flying rat?

Mirabel;have you ever seen a fruit bat? Those things are absolutely adorable, like you, and you have as cute of eyes as them too

*Mirabel said winking at her, Dolores blushed, not knowing how to react, she wasn't used to people giving her compliments like that*

Dolores:you think I have pretty eyes?

Mirabel: we're really having this conversation again?

*Mirabel asked, as she looked around, then back at the map she got from one of the workers, Dolores looked at her confused*

Dolores:what are you talking about?

Mirabel:when we were in San Jose? You know...oh right, you got blackout drunk when I said that

*Mirabel mumbled to herself, but since Dolores didn't have her earmuffs, she heard it quite clear, and her blush returned, this time of embarrassment*

Mirabel:I told your drunk self, that your beautiful, honestly, I think your the most beautiful person in the madrigal family

Dolores:you... You do?

*Dolores asked surprised, she was having flashes of that night, but it was gone just as fast, Mirabel just nodded and kept talking*

Mirabel:of course I do, abuela only made Isabela the "flower" of madrigal, was because she looks exactly like she used to look like, when she was her age, it was decided because of narcism

Dolores:god I'm corrupting you, 3 months ago, you wouldn't have said that

*Dolores said with a small smirk, Mirabel rolled her eyes and scoffed*

Mirabel: please, I've talked like this long before you came along, I just don't talk like that to the family. Mom taught me to keep all those...little negative emotions inside, and slap on a fake smile, conceal don't feel

Dolores:.....god our family is messed up

Mirabel:we really are

*Mirabel said, as they both sighed in defeat, over there family mental problems. It's a miracle that they live so long, since all that stress would've caused at least one, person in the family to have a heart attack*

Mirabel:anyways, back to you, you have perfect skin from all those creams, you have a fantastic body, that you hide in those clothes, I swear, if you would let me make clothes for you, people would see how beautiful you are, then there's your hair, that always smells like strawberries, so...yeah, your the most beautiful. That's just a fact, it's criminal that people don't see it

*Mirabel said it plainly, like it was a fact, the sun will set and rise everyday, and Dolores is the most beautiful girl in the village. Dolores felt light headed, from all the blood rushing to her cheeks, she was so red that they didn't need a lantern, to see.*

Mirabel: alright, now comes the fun part

Dolores:huh?

*Dolores looked around, she was so in her head, that she didn't see where Mirabel took her, she looked at Mirabel wrapping rope to a stalagmites, pulling on it hard, do see if it could hold her weight. Dolores was confused, and quickly becoming worried, for why Mirabel needed that rope, she looked in front of her and paled, a big hole was in front of them*

Mirabel:ok, the map, said that the jewels are inside that hole, there should be a underground lake inside the hole too, the worker said, that he's seen some strange animals there, but there edible, so that'll be our source of protein, now I hope you passed P.E. back at school, since if not? Well I'm just gonna have to go in there alone

*Mirabel said, looking at Dolores, giving her a big smug smile, Dolores grew an annoyed smile, her eye twitching, her cheeks? Back to normal after what Mirabel was pulling. She too a breath and grabbed the rope*

Dolores:I hate you so much, I want you to know that, I despise you, from the bottom of my heart

Mirabel:love you too, my little fruit bat. Now do me a favor, put your earmuffs on, since I'm gonna scream

*Mirabel said, making Dolores raise an eyebrow, but she did as she was told, internally happy that she has a way to block the sounds, and a bit appreciate that Mirabel warned her, ahead of time*

Mirabel:perfect, Now I'll see you down there

*Dolores was confused at what Mirabel meant by that, that confusion turned in to a heart attack type fear, since Mirabel ran full sprint to the hole, and jumped inside it, screaming of excitement. Dolores ran to the hole and looked inside, at the corner of her eyes she saw the rope being pulled, but holding firm. She took of her earmuffs, and took the biggest sigh of relief, when she heard Mirabel's laughter. The relief turned to anger, she took her earmuffs back on and screamed from the top of her lungs*

Dolores:MIRABEL YOU ARE SO DEAD WHEN I GET DOWN THERE!!!!!

Mirabel:you mean, if your not scared enough to get down here

*Dolores heard the smugness in Mirabel's tone, it made her take a annoyed breath, as she started to climb down, using the rope to help her*

Dolores: she couldn't just sing for the children again, or keep doing clothes, no no, of course not, she had to go spelunking. I have to be married, to a freaking thrill seeker...

*Dolores kept muttering to herself, all the way, till the end of the rope*

Dolores:Mirabel?!

Mirabel:just jump! The water will break your fall!!

*Dolores heard, she groaned a little and took a leap of faith, she felt the wind of falling, and then the jolt from the ice cold water submerging her, she swam up, and looked around, and the light she got was blue? She looked up and her eyes widen at the roof, of the underground cave. It was being illuminated, by glowing worms*

Mirabel:beautiful huh?

*Dolores heard, she looked and saw Mirabel sitting down, on the dry part of the cave, she swam up to her and got out of the water. She laid down and just kept looking up at the roof of the cave*

Dolores:yeah, it really is....how the fuck are we gonna get out of here?

Mirabel:the same way the workers did, we follow the river, it'll take us to a cave outside the encanto, so you'll have some peace and quiet from all the noise.

*Mirabel said giving Dolores a pair of dry clothes, she pointed to where she could change, Dolores nodded and walked do the spot, feeling relief that she'll get a break, even from all the way down here, she can still hear everything, as if she was right next do her. She concentrated back to Mirabel, feeling some small comfort for her ears, that she was humming a soft tune, while she waited, a tune that helped Dolores concentrate on her, and not the noise of the village. That is until she heard the lyrics*

Mirabel: Every sound you heard but your silence was deafening, Each decibel dismissible to save yourself from meddling
Or maybe you're too scared to make a sound at all?

*Mirabel sang softly, and Dolores couldn't figure out, why she felt guilt crawling up her back, she didn't understand, why she felt that Mirabel, was singing about her*

Mirabel:She'll be a danger to us all
Don't stand and rock the boat or you'll risk going overboard, Let the others down before you reach to pull them back ashore
Well now the boat's sinking and everyone's going down

*Mirabel kept singing, the song she made up a few years ago. In her own mind, thinking of a dark timeline, a thought she had, more then once, what if instead of not caring anymore, she destroyed everything, so her family WOULD pay attention to her*

Mirabel:A constant sign of all that you lack
She's a curse!, She's to blame, So quick, turn your back. Well I'm done playing nice
So maybe think twice when you don't talk about Bruno No, no, no, We don't talk about Bruno

*Dolores got changed quickly, and walked to Mirabel, just so that she stopped singing, she gave her a forced smile*

Dolores:so...your ready, to find those jewls?

Mirabel:yup, let's go

*Mirabel said smiling, as if what she was singing, wasn't creepy at all. She got up grabbing Dolores's wet clothes, and putting them in a bag with her own. She walked ahead of her, opposite the water stream, to where they said it would be. Dolores walked behind her quietly, thinking on if she should tell Mirabel something, something big*

Dolores:Mirabel....can I tell you something about Bruno?
