After dinner

*Mirabel was walking back Dolores' room when she felt Antonio grab to her dress. Mirabel looked down and smiled to him*

Mirabel:hey toñito what's wrong?

Antonio:Mira, can you read to me tonight, please

*Antonio said using his secret weapon, his puppy eyes. Mirabel instantly melted. Before she could say yes, Pepa appeared to have overhead what Antonio just said: "

Pepa:oh Toñito, you want a goodnight story? Me and felix can read to you

Felix:Of course mijo, what story would you like?

Antonio;w..well, I kinda wanted Mami to read to me

*A rainbow appeared on top of pepa's head, felix had a big grin on his face as well both thinking Antonio was talking about Pepa, Antonio looked up at her real Mami who just shrugged taking a step back. Antonio frowned slightly. He knew he couldn't call Mirabel mami in front of the family since it would just cause her trouble. So he had to force a smile*

Mirabel:Well, if that's what you want, then ok, I'll read to you next time Toñito

*Mirabel kneeled down and gave him her pinky, Antonio smiled a little, his smile becoming more genuine as he gave her his making a pinky promise*

Mirabel:That's a promise that can't be broken

*Mirabel got up and started walking to her room while Felix grabbed Antonio and lifted him*

Félix: Come on Toñito let's read you that story

*Felix and Pepa walked up to their son's room, and neither saw Antonio looking at Mirabel sadly. That sadness quickly became angry as Mirabel was having small talk with Dolores*

Antonio"I just wanted to spend time with my Mami"

*Antonio thought in a silent huff as they walked inside Antonio's jungle of a room and closed the door*

With Mirabel

Mirabel:So, think abuela will make you be with me again tomorrow?

*Mirabel asked Dolores as they walked into Dolores room, Well there room now. Dolores grabbed her own hands and hummed as she looked at Mirabel*

Dolores:Probably, all I do is just listen in for gossip so abuela can use it against people, I can do that while I'm with you. So she'll probably just have me do that. I'm gonna take a shower before bed

Mirabel:ok, I'll take one after you

*Dolores and Mirabel went their separate ways, Mirabel saw Julieta and Agustín walk inside Isabela room. A small part of Mirabel felt a bit of joy that señorita perfecta was gonna get it tonight. She's slightly sad that she won't be able to see it*

Mirabel:I wonder if Dolores can tell me what they talked about

*Mirabel thought out loud with a hum at the end while in the shower Dolores kept and eared out to listen to Isabela and her parents*

In isabela's room

Julieta:cariño we need to talk. Can you please come down from there

Isabela:Of course, Mami

*Isabela came down with her vines, flower petals falling down along her. Julieta couldn't help but feel a little annoyed as flower petals fall from her head*

Julieta: "Does she always come down like this?"

Isabela:What can I do for the two of you?

Agustin:How about telling us about why you've been skipping school so much to the point that you got held back multiple times?

Isabela:Oh, that?

*Isabela waved her hand dismissively. If it was abuela, Isabela would be scared but with her parents? Getting them to see it her way*

Isabela:I didn't see the point of it, I would rather do my chores to the encanto since that's more important than knowing when some island like puerto Rico was discovered

Julieta:Isabela, does this look like a joke to you?

*Julieta said coldly with her arm crossed, Isabela was gonna say something, but Julieta beat her to the punch*

Julieta:You lied, you told us that you graduated top of your class but you just didn't want to celebrate it, for how long has this been going on, huh? What makes you think the encanto is more important then you're education?

Isabela:abuela, i mean she's the one that gives us all our chores and none of them are school related so obviously she doesn't care either, heck she'll love that I placed the encanto before myself and my studies

Julieta:Isabela!

Isabela;come on, Mami, it's just a stupid school who cares

Agustín:i would say you're grandmother since she helped build the school for the children of the encanto when the encanto was first founded

Isabela: Oh please, Papa, you're making a big deal out of nothing. That school is a waste of time and shouldn't have been built in the first place

Alma:Is that how you see it?

*Isabela flinched as alma appeared from behind the door, having heard everything*

Julieta:mami, i said we would take care of this

Alma:Julieta mi vida, i love you, but you're no Pepa when it comes to giving out punishments

*Julieta scoffed even with such an important situation Julieta's sisterly rivalry with pepa lives on*

Julieta: I'll have you know I can give out punishments as good or better than her and her ugly yellow dress

*Julieta muttered bitterly as a way a sister can only do*

With pepa

Félix:problema mi amor?

*Pepa was rubbing her ear, feeling as if it was tingling*

Pepa:No, I just suddenly feel the need to slap Julieta for some reason

Back to Julieta

Alma:Uhu, now isabela, would you like to repeat what you said to me ?

Isabela;I...I... W...well, it is just a school

*Isabela said her tone much less confident than before. Alma hummed her cold gaze, never leaving Isabela*

Alma:You're absolutely right. It's just a school. A school my friend Kevin had built with my help so that the children could have an education, a school he ran for 60 long years before he passed away in his sleep. You insulting that school is insulting Kevin Kaarl and his legacy. So go ahead and say it again

*Isabela heart was racing as she wanted to look away but knew she would get even more punishment if she did. Alma sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose*

Alma:Isabela, if you were having trouble with classes, you could've told us about it. You could've told me, and I would've lessened your duties so that you could have time to study,

Agustín:that reminds me we have to talk to Luisa about that too

*Alma nodded in agreement, but her eyes never left Isabela's person much to her displeasure*

Alma;we will tomorrow make sure to wake up earlier than normally. but she's not in trouble. Isabela is. The education is one thing but bullying your own little sister?

Isabela; I've never done that, I swear!

*Isabela flinched since now Alma wasn't disappointed. No, she was angry.

Alma;and on top of that, lying to my face? Since your teacher said the opposite

Isabela:abuela, you have to believe me. Gabriela has always hated me!

Alma:enough, I've heard enough.

*Alma said coldly, her voice devoid a emotion, Julieta trembled a little since she remembered that tone from when she was a little girl*

Alma:you lied about how much I don't know and I'm terrified to know but I will find out how much You've lied to me over the years, you're position as the next matriarch is gone, you're free time gone, you're chores gone I shall give you new ones that will give you a chance to reflect on you're actions, you will be supervised to make sure you don't runaway, your lucky you're wedding 3 months away because before all that you are grounded and not to leave this house without my permission.

Isabela;but abuelita...!

Alma: Silence!! And If I hear from Dolores or anyone that You're still bullying your little sister I will grab a stick and hit you with it, don't think you're not to old for me not to put you over my knee And wack your bottom with the stick. I'll figure out who will tutor you tomorrow,

Isabela:Mama Papa, you can't make her do this! Everything I did I did for the encanto!!

*Isabela missed it, but alma took a step back, and her cold expression changed for a moment to one of shame and regret since that was word for word what alma has said multiple times. Alma grabbed her heart, feeling an emotional pain as she shook her head and kept a hard gaze*

Julieta:i agree completely what my mother said,

Agustín:in fact, I think she went light on you, so be grateful. Alma, I'll be the one that keeps an eye on her she's my daughter her failures are our failures

*Alma nodded and snapped her fingers, Isabela flinched and looked at her abuela she was horrified with the face. Alma was giving her*

Alma:That will work. Isabela Angelina madrigal, know that I have never been more disappointed in anyone than I am with you right now

*Isabela started to spill tears from her face, all the work she did, everything she had sacrificed to be perfect for her abuela down the drain, and it's all Mirabel's fault. As Alma and Isabela's parents turned around, they didn't see Isabela change from sadness to anger quickly*

Isabela, "That stupid giftless is gonna pay for this!!"

With alma

*She closed the door to her room and sat down on her bed. She looked at the burning candle as her lip started to quiver*

"Everything I did I did for the encanto!!"

*Alma covered her face with her trembling hands and started to weep silently*

Alma:When did I become so blind Pedro? God, what have I been doing all this years, how many things have I been wrong about?!

*Alma said her tone full of sorrow. Alma didn't see it, but Casita's cracks became a little smaller, since yes what happened was sad, but the first step to recovery is admitting the problem. After a long time crying, Alma went to sleep, her body too old to for all the stress and surprises of the last few days*

Alma: I'll fix things, I have to fix things....

Later

Pastor:Do you Mariano take Dolores to be your lawfully wedded wife, to hold her in sickness and in health, to be with her in richer or poorer till death do you part

*We see a small wedding. There were no guests, just Dolores, Mariano, and the pastor. Dolores was wearing a simple wedding dress as she looked at Mariano lovingly with tears in her eyes*

Mariano:i do

Pastor:And you Dolores to you take Mariano to be you're lawfully wedded husband, to hold him in sickness and in health, to be with him in richer or poorer till death do you part?

Dolores:I do....

Pastor:And anybody has any objections, speak now or forever hold your peace

*The door to the church slammed opened, revealing Isabela*

Isabela;i object! Mariano is gonna marry me, Dolores's cousin!

*The room full of people gasped as Isabella walked up to Mariano, Isabela wearing a full wedding dress twice as beautiful as Dolores*

Isabela:Mariano, you and me are the perfect couple we are meant to be. Come be with me

*Mariano looked at the two and sighed, looking out the window*

Mariano: I'm sorry but I can't be with either of you. For i love another

*Dramatic background music started to play as the audience started to mutter wonder just who this mystery woman could be.

Real world

*Dolores woke up in a jump, looking all around her room*

Mirabel:mh....

*She looked down at Mirabel, who flipped herself, almost waking up thanks to Dolores. Dolores sighed and laid back down in a foul mood*

Dolores"stupid tio bruno and his stupid tele novelas ruining my dreams, it was a mistake giving him that mini keyboard piano for his birthday...."

*Dolores thought with a pout as she went back to sleep sadly for her she won't be having the same dream she's been having*

Morning

With alma

*Alma woke up earlier than normal to speak to Luisa before she goes to do her chores. She got up and walked to her picture of Pedro, giving it a small kiss before walking out. Alma eyes widened a little when she saw Mirabel knocking on camilo's door and then going for another. Alma walked up to her*

Alma:Good morning Mirabel, what are you doing

*Mirabel jumped and looked at Alma, surprised*

Mirabel:Oh, abuela, good morning. You gave me a fright. Normally, I wake you up last

Alma:Yes, I needed to...   .       .     .I'm sorry I'm sorry, did you just say you woke me up?

Mirabel:Uh, yeah? I would knock on your door and wake you up, wake every one of you up. I've been doing that since I was...six...

*Alma saw Mirabel's eye start to twitch, and she was forcing herself to keep smiling even if it was an annoyed smile*

Mirabel:Let me guess, you also thought Casita was the one who woke everybody up?

Mirabel: Seriously, did no one make the connection that I did this every day since I was 6?

*Mirabel said in a huff, miffed as she walked to the next door and knocked on it. Alma couldn't do anything except awkwardly walk downstairs and wait for julieta and Agustín*

With Mirabel

*Mirabel opened the door to Antonio's room and walked inside. Parce lifted his head and looked at who woke him up. On e, he saw it was Mirabel he just gave her a slow blink and went back to his nap*

Mirabel:lazy bum

*Mirabel said with an amused smile as parce just moved his tail a little in response, Mirabel walked to Antonio and shook him away*

Mirabel:Wake up Toñito Time to start the day

Antonio:MH...

*Antonio opened his eyes and smiled, seeing his mother there to greet him*

Antonio:morning mommy...

Mirabel:morning Mijo, you're Lucky Dolores still sleeping. Come on, let's go down and have breakfast

*At the sound of food, the park stretched and started walking down, making the mother/son chuckle at the leopard*

Mirabel:Go on without me. I'll be down after I wake everyone else

*Antonio nodded and left, Mirabel saw Antonio leave, not moving until he was out of sight. Mirabel walked back to her new room and shook Dolores awake. Dolores groaned and flipped herself*

Mirabel: Dolores, come on, everyone else is up

Dolores:Tell them I'm sick...

Mirabel:You know that doesn't work in our family when my mom can just heal you

*Dolores threw the blankets out of her body and lazily got up and walked to her side of the room to change out of her pajamas in private, Mirabel sat down on the bed and waited for her*

Dolores:You can go ahead without me, mira

Mirabel:i don't mind waiting for you. Besides, I'm miffed at abuela right now, and I would rather not see her for as long as possible

Dolores:what did the bitch do now?

*Mirabel snorted as Dolores made her distain for alma madrigal quite known*

Mirabel:the same thing as you, she thought that Casita was the one waking everybody up instead of me

*Mirabel said in a foul mood, while she waited for Dolores, Mirabel grabbed some things from her nightstand and started needlepoint embroidery of a leopard like parce*

Dolores:yeah, we should talk about that at breakfast, not really fair that you don't get any of the credit for that

Mirabel;no it's fine, I don't want to be a bother

Mirabel "besides Antonio calls me Mami that more then makes up for it"

*Mirabel thought of her son, doesn't matter what pepa thinks, Mirabel was the one that changed Antonio's diapers*

Flashback

Mirabel;ew ew ew Gross Gross Gross Gross!!

*little Mirabel said as she holds the diaper away from her with a pair of tongs. Casita brings the garbage can and Mirabel placed it in*

Present

*Mirabel was the one that was there when Antonio learned to walk*

Flashback

Mirabel:come on Toñito you can do it

*Mirabel said with excitement, she let's go of Antonio and takes a few steps back, Antonio looks at her the way a 1 year old does to it's mother, she slowly wobbly walked up to her, he almost fell but Mirabel caught him*

Mirabel:you did it Toñito I'm so proud of you!

*Mirabel said in a happy tone, Antonio couldn't understand her yet he just knew his mother was happy by her tone*

Present

*Mirabel was the one that was there every sleepless night when Antonio couldn't sleep*

Back to the past

*We see a crying Antonio in the arms of Mirabel, Mirabel was moving back and forth while she kept Antonio's head on her chest where her heart is*

Mirabel:shhh it's ok, it's ok... the monster gone, he's on the run and your Mommy's here....

*Mirabel started singing to him making Antonio start to calm down*

Mirabel: beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy...

Present

*Mirabel was the one that was there when Antonio said his first words for heavens sake*

Flashback

Mirabel:alright Antonio do you want to play with you're blocks or maybe you want some stuff animals?

*Mirabel said looking at the toy chest while Antonio was seated behind him*

Antonio:m...m..mama p..p..play

Mirabel:yes that's right we're gonna....

*Mirabel froze and snapped her whole body around so fast it gave her whiplash as she looked down at Antonio her eyes trembling*

Mirabel:w...what did you say? Antonio did you just speak?! Say it again come on Antonio say it again!

*Mirabel said extremely exited as she sat down next to antonio, Antonio seeing his mother so happy his lip trembled as he tried to get the words out*

Antonio:m..m..mama p...p..play

Present

Mirabel"I might not have given birth to him like pepa did, but I'm the mother who stepped up"

*Mirabel thought as a smile crept in to her face not being able to think about anything else while she waited but memories of her and her son*

Dolores;my god she was his long lost cousin's fiance?!

*Mirabel jumped so caught up in her own little world that she forgot where she was for a second*

Mirabel:who is? Must be important if you scream like that

*Dolores blushed and scratched her cheek with a nervous smile*

Dolores:o..oh nothing nothing sorry forgot we now share a room um l.. let's go down to eat

*Dolores said quickly with a blush of embarrassment as she dashed to the door faster then mirabel has ever seen Dolores walk, Mirabel shrugged and walked down*

With Bruno

Ratatin:but maria u don't love him you know this, you love me how can you deny our love?!

Maria:I'm sorry ratatin but while you'll always have my heart I want more then the simple life of poor rat, I need the money hernesto has

*Bruno plays dramatic piano music with his feet, as the rats act out what Bruno is saying*

Back to Dolores

Dolores"I knew Maria was a bitch oh ratatin you were always too good for her!"

*Dolores thought as she sat down. Mirabel sat down next to her and smiled at Antonio who light up seeing Mirabel. both Mirabel and Dolores were surprised that there still people not in there seats yet*

Mirabel:I know I woke everybody up where are they?

Antonio;oh abuela said something about needing to talk to Luisa with aunty and uncle. Mama is gonna make us breakfast

*Antonio said in a nervous tone, Dolores and Mirabel's eyes widen since they know what happens when pepa cooks. Mirabel snapped her head to Felix praying that it wasn't True sadly he just looked down*

Mirabel:I...I...I just remembered I promised the fisherman I would help them gut there fishes!

*Mirabel said quickly as she tried to escape sadly pepa walked out of the kitchen with a proud smile on her face*

Pepa: alright who's hungry?!
