Chanyeol wakes up by the giggles of the smaller entering the room after being asleep all night.

" Hey good morning you too" He sits up tossing his hair as Kyungsoo and Kai jump on the sofa beside him.

" Morning " Baekhyun enters the room looking embarrassed as he too fixes his bed head

" Mommy you're ok" Kyungsoo rushes towards his mom hugging him around his waist as Baekhyun leans down and kisses the smaller on his head

" I am ok and wow you had a sleep over" Baekhyun tosses his hair before looking at Chanyeol who is smiling at him while hugging his son Kai

" I would offer to make breakfast, but I don't have any food in yet so how about I take us all out for breakfast" Chanyeol says as the kids get excited and start jumping around

" No need to do that, I have plenty at my place. I can cook something for us all" Baekhyun says still not moving from when he entered the room.

" Please let me buy us all some food " Chanyeol says while moving closer to the smaller who seems rather off this morning.

" Please please please can we?" The kids say together making Baekhyun and Chanyeol smile

" Ok ok but we need to get cleaned up and changed" Baekhyun says as the kids scream with excitement

" Ok ok calm. Kyungsoo, you head home and get changed with your mom and Kai and I will get changed and we will all meet at the tree in the garden in 15minutes" Chanyeol says as Kyungsoo grabs Baekhyun's hand and drags him out the door back to their bungalow

" Daddy why did Kyungsoo stay here with his mommy?"

" There was something wrong in their bungalow so Baekhyun needed to stay here" Chanyeol hopes that will stop his son asking questions

" Ok then, I hope he ok now because he was crying in the room last night" Kai says making Chanyeol pick him up and carry him to get changed

" He was upset over his daddy but its none of our business Kai ok "

" Ok daddy, can I bring brown nose with us to get some yummy food?"

" Of course you can, now off you go pick out some clothes and I will race you to get dressed" Chanyeol puts him down on his feet as Kai rushes off to his bedroom picking out his clothes. Chanyeol takes his time and slowly gets dressed so his son can win.

" Daddy, I can't find my other shoe" He hears Kai shout from another room as he stares into the full-length mirror checking himself over.

" Daddy, I called you" Kai appears in the doorway of his dad's room as Chanyeol pulls on a hoodie over his t-shirt.

"I heard you sweetheart, and did you win me getting dressed?" Chanyeol rushes to his son and picks him up before dropping him onto the bed and tickling him the same way Luhan used to do

" Daddy, stop it stop it " Kai giggles as he tries his best to push his giant daddy off him.

" Come on let's find your other shoe or we will be late for Baekhyun and Kyungsoo" Both race into Kai's room in search for the shoe.

Next door

"Mom are you ok?" Kyungsoo asks his mom with a whisper after what he saw last night.

"Yes, sweetheart I am fine see" Baekhyun smiles as he helps his son put on his shoes.

" I didn't like daddy doing that" Kyungsoo whispers again with his head low as Baekhyun tries to hold back his anger after what Kris did in front of their son.

" I know sweetheart, but I am ok, Now let's get going because we are late for Chanyeol and Kai.

Outside

Everyone rushes outside and meet at the tree all excited and ready for the day.

" Hey since I have the kid's car seats still in my car how about we take my car to get food" Chanyeol says as he unlocks the car door.

" Yeah, sounds perfect plus it will save time" Baekhyun smiles as he rushes after the excited kids and help them get in the back of the car.

" Ok is everyone in yet?" Chanyeol says as he and Baekhyun climb into the car after safely putting the boys in their car seats.

" Yes, daddy we are in" Kai shouts making Chanyeol click his seatbelt on.

" Wait I can't get my belt to move" Baekhyun giggles as he tries to pull the seat belt, but it just won't budge.

" Ok hang on " Chanyeol leans over the smaller and pulls the seatbelt slowly as it comes free before he clicks and secures Baekhyun to the seat while the kids laugh in the back.

" Thank you" Baekhyun looks into Chanyeol's eyes as Chanyeol remembers what happened last night and kinda liked it.

" No problem" He whispers as he moves back to his seat and starts the car.

" Ok so you need to tell me where to go " Chanyeol says as the car pulls away from the bungalows.

"Just go straight down this road and take a right "Baekhyun smiles a nervous smile as he looks out the window remembering what he did last night.

" Ok now if you just take the next left there is a beautiful café, we can get something nice to eat" Baekhyun turns a little and glances at Chanyeol looking so hot driving. His mind flashes back to when he first started dating Kris and how he would try hold Kris thigh when he drove, but Kris would give out.

" Baekhyun?" Chanyeol calls waking Baekhyun from his daydream.

" Sorry what?"

" Is this the place you were talking about?"

" Oh sorry yes this is the place" they all quickly get out of the car as the kids wait for their parents on the sidewalk.

"Is everything ok?" Chanyeol moves closer to Baekhyun as the smaller just nods " I will tell you later" and with that said they both head into the café with the kids' holding hands.

After the café

"Can we go to the park please mummy" Kyungsoo grabs Baekhyun's hand as he looks down at his excited son.

" Yeah, dad can we" Kai joins in begging Chanyeol as both parents look at each other and shrug their shoulders.

" I have no problem if Chanyeol and Kai don't mind"

" Please daddy Mr Baekhyun said they can go if we go" Kai looks up at his father with his big puppy dog eyes hoping his daddy says yes.

" Ok that's ok with me" Chanyeol says making the kids jump into the car and wait for their parents.

" I am so sorry about this you probably wanted to spend time alone with Kai " Baekhyun waits by the car after putting Kyungsoo into his car seat.

" To be honest with you Kai needs to play with people his own age not an old man like me" Chanyeol closes the door after putting Kai into his seat.

" You're not old " Baekhyun giggles as he steps around the car to get in.

" Wait can you tell me what you were going to say when we pulled up here" Chanyeol pushes as Baekhyun looks down at his feet.

" Kyungsoo asked me why his dad did what he did last night"

" Baekhyun I'm so sorry. I'm sorry Kyungsoo saw it too" Chanyeol reaches his hand across and touches Baekhyun's arm in comfort.

" We will be ok " Baekhyun looks up at Chanyeol wanting to be held and tries to send a message to him with just his eyes.

" I know you will be, and I will be right next door if you need anything ok now let's get these too excited kids to the park and ill buy you another coffee" Chanyeol lets Baekhyun's arm go as Baekhyun looks down at his arm haven't not felt affection in so long.

" Ok let's go to the park" Baekhyun says with excited as he climbs into the car not letting Kris get to him or upset his day out.

"Ok what the directions to this place" Chanyeol smirks as Baekhyun watches him start the car again as he smiles and tells him where to go.

At the park

" Love you mommy" Kyungsoo hugs Baekhyun before he grabs Kai away from Chanyeol as they rush over to the climbing frame in the park.

" Oh wow where do they get their energy from?" Baekhyun sits on the park bench one side of a table as Chanyeol sits on the other side.

" This is what I mean by feeling old" Chanyeol laughs as he knows he would never be able to do what the kids are doing now.

" Fancy a coffee" Baekhyun askes as he stands up from the bench.

" Hey, I'll get them" Chanyeol stops him but Baekhyun puts up a fight.

" Let me you got breakfast " Baekhyun says as he heads over to the coffee truck.

Taking a seat Chanyeol looks out towards the kids playing so happy in the park together and can't help but smile seeing his son so happy.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Baekhyun takes his seat passing a cup towards Chanyeol

"Oh just looking at Kai being so happy" Chanyeol says while mixing some sugar into his coffee.

" Yeah, it's nice seeing your kids smile and be happy and just be kids" Baekhyun sips his coffee as he too watches the kids playing.

They sit quietly for a while before Baekhyun breaks the silence.

" I cant get over this morning when Kyungsoo said he didn't like his daddy doing that last night " Baekhyun lets out a sigh after saying it again.

"What did you tell him though?"

" I told him I was ok now and that we were to get ready to meet you guys" Baekhyun finishes off his coffee.

"Do you want to get back with him?" Chanyeol asks the question he heard Kris ask Baekhyun last night.

" No way in hell he made his bed he can lie in it now. He cheated so many times on me. He lost Kyungsoo all over woman . He hurt me mentally and physically I don't want that . All I ever wanted was to be loved and do cheesy things you know"

"Cheesy things ?" Chanyeol looks confused as Baekhyun laughs.

" Yeah, like you know when you first get together with someone and if you're going on a drive you want to hold their thigh or hand as they drive, things like that I love . I love romance I thought I found it with Kris, but I was so so wrong . I didn't notice the big red flags with him because I was so blinded by love"

" Holding hands while driving I like that and it's not cheesy Luhan and I used to do it all the time. He would place his hand on my thigh as we drove anywhere. Even if we had a disagreement about something he would always touch my leg as kind of like an apology without saying any words" Chanyeol smiles thinking of those good days.

" Yeah, see that's what I want in life someone to do that stuff with. Even fall asleep on the sofa and be carried to bed small little things" Baekhyun eyes light up thinking of all the cute ways he wants in a relationship.

"Oh I hear you but I'm better off staying asleep on the couch like have you seen the size of me I can't be lifted just leave me there with a blanket " Chanyeol laughs making Baekhyun laugh too

"I'm sorry about Kris Baekhyun"

"I will be fine I just need to hold my own with him and not let him upset Kyungsoo" Baekhyun gives a soft smile before looking down at his empty cup.

" Chanyeol about last night "

"Don't mention it we sorted it"

"I just feel so bad"

" Hey, its ok honestly " Chanyeol touches Baekhyun hand showing him comfort as they both look into each other's eyes before being shouted at by their kids.

"Ok ok I hear you" Baekhyun stands up and rushes over to the kids who seem to have climbed something higher than they would have liked and are now scared.

"Daddy" Kai shouts as Chanyeol rushes over to them.

" Oh wow look at you too what shall we ever do to get you down" Chanyeol says playfully as Kai gives him a pouty face.

"I can't reach them" Baekhyun says while trying to figure out a way to get the kids down.

"Daddy reach up" Kai says as both kids are holding hands waiting.

"I don't need to reach up look if you walk across the bridge, you can slide down the slide" Chanyeol points the way as both kids walk along the bridge with their parents close by.

" Now come down the slide" Baekhyun waits at the end as Chanyeol stays near the top.

"Wheeeee" Kyungsoo says as he slides down the slide into Baekhyun's arms.

" See you did it, good job" Baekhyun kisses his son's cheeks before they move out of the way for Kai.

" Go sweetheart" Chanyeol rushes to the bottom and catches Kai as he slides down into the arms of his daddy all happy.

"I don't like being that high but that was fun" Kai says as he and Kyungsoo hug each other.

" Ok maybe we should head back now we have somewhere to be later" Chanyeol say as the kids look confused at each other than back to their parents.

"Where are we going daddy "Kai asks as Kyungsoo looks up at Baekhyun.

"We are going back to the fair but this time I will be able to enjoy it with you " Baekhyun says making Kyungsoo delighted that he finally gets to be with his mom at the fair.

" Right well everyone in the car then " Chanyeol's says as he smiles and starts to walk towards the car.

"I'm gonna race you all " Baekhyun shouts as he runs quickly over to the car with the kids following him making Chanyeol smile at just how cute Baekhyun is.

"Oh baby what am I gonna do" Chanyeol whispers looking at Baekhyun running with the kids and just how beautiful he really is.

"Luhan I am so confused I know you told me to move on, but I'm scared "Chanyeol thinks to himself as he gets closer to the car.

"Ok everyone in now" Chanyeol helps Kai into the car and closes the door as he climbs in with Baekhyun.

"Ok I think I need a nap" Baekhyun say as he yawns before looking back at the kids seeing they need a nap also.

"Yeah, I think I need one myself " Chanyeol starts the car as they head off home.

"What time shall I pick you up at later?" Chanyeol asks breaking Baekhyun out of his daydream of wanting to touch Chanyeol's hand while he drives.

"Oh sorry eh maybe 5 it starts earlier tonight" Baekhyun says while he checks on the kids who have gone out cold in the back.

"Ok 5 it is then may as well let me drive since I have the car seats " Chanyeol says as he slows the car a little.

" Is everything ok?" Baekhyun looks around to see if something has happened outside or there are police up ahead.

" Yeah, I just thought why rush home they are asleep I can keep driving that way they won't wake up" Chanyeol looks back at the road ahead before looking back at Baekhyun.

" Yeah, I like that idea" Baekhyun says while getting more comfortable in his seat.

"Do you think you will ever love again?" Baekhyun closes his mouth regretting he asked that aloud.

" I don't know. I will one day nobody knows what the future will bring. It's just if I met someone now it wouldn't be fair on them as I still wear my wedding ring and still miss Luhan after 2 years"

"Hey, I get that I would be the same . I haven't dated anyone since Kris, and he isn't dead. I just feel more cautious now I'm kind of scared to be honest " Baekhyun says while turning to see Chanyeol nodding his head as he looks at the road ahead.

"I'm scared to its like if I dated anyone it would be bad towards Luhan. He told me to move on but it's not that easy and imagine trying to explain to someone why you still wear your wedding ring they would run a mile"

"Not all would run" Baekhyun says softly before looking out the window beside him making Chanyeol turn to look at him.

"Would you run?" Chanyeol says making Baekhyun turn to face him better.

" My honest opinion no I wouldn't run everyone has a past and once I knew where I stood in the relationship then it wouldn't bother me" Baekhyun says his piece and turns to look out the window again.

"Once a relationship I was in wasn't like what Kris and I had then I'd be very lucky" Baekhyun smiles making Chanyeol smile knowing that if he met someone like Baekhyun he wouldn't lay a hand on him to hurt him in any way.

" It's beautiful here" Chanyeol slows a little as he parks the car near a lake.

" Yeah, I love it here when Kyungsoo goes off with his father for the weekend I come up here " Baekhyun climbs out of the car, moves to the front of it, and leans against the bonnet.

" It's so beautiful I can see why you would come here" Chanyeol joins him as they both look out at the lake and some beautiful swans at the fair end.

" Thank you for this morning and just listening" Baekhyun says so shyly as Chanyeol smirks as little " No need for thanks but you are welcome "

"So can I ask you something since you kinda asked me"

" Yeah, sure what is it"

"Would you date a guy like me when you were ready to date ?"

"|A guy like you?"

"Yeah, one who has a drunk of an ex you hurt me and punches me and kicks me in front of my son" Baekhyun covers his face trying to hide his tears.

" He kicks you?" Chanyeol moves so he is standing in front of the smaller.

Baekhyun just nods his head still covering his eyes.

"Come here" Chanyeol says making Baekhyun look at him.

" Yes, you heard me come here" Chanyeol says as Baekhyun stands up and moves closer as Chanyeol pulls the smaller in closer to him and hugs him.

" I'm so sorry " Baekhyun starts to cry as he snuggles and sobs into Chanyeol's chest.

" Hey, it will be ok" Chanyeol holds him for a few minutes and his mind thinks of Luhan but then stops and thinks of Baekhyun and how good it feels to have someone so warm in his arms again.

"I'm sorry for blurting it out but I haven't been able to tell anyone and with you it just blurts out" Baekhyun says making Chanyeol smile.

" Yeah, it's the charm I have " Chanyeol laughs a little making Baekhyun pull away and wipe his eyes.

" Oh this place just makes you relax" Baekhyun leans back against the car as Chanyeol returns to his spot.

" Yeah, and blurt out things" Chanyeol says with a teasing tone making Baekhyun blush.

"Come on let's go home" Chanyeol waits as Baekhyun takes one last look back out at the lake before getting back into the car.

Evening time

Thank you for taking us to the fair it was really good to see it from a visitor's point of view" Baekhyun says as he holds Kyungsoo hand.

"Thank you we had a great time too " Chanyeol smiles softly knowing he had the best time he has had in a very long time.

" Well we better head inside then" Baekhyun says but doesn't move.

" Yeah, I guess so " Chanyeol says watching Baekhyun hug the plushie he won for him at the fair and how he had to then win two more for the boys.

" Well goodnight" Baekhyun says before starting to move away till Kyungsoo stops him.

" Mommy can we have a sleep over again please"

" Oh sweetie don't you want to sleep in your own bed tonight ?" Baekhyun look down at his son who uses the puppy dogs' eyes too on him.

" I don't mind we can sit and talk if you like" Chanyeol says as Kyungsoo keeps pulling Baekhyun's hand.

" Ok if you're sure but we do need to get you some Pj and have a wash " Baekhyun says as Chanyeol agrees.

" Ok then we will see you in about an hour" Chanyeol says as he heads to his bungalow with an excited kid but not before looking back at Baekhyun who is smiling at his son before looking at him

" Daddy, I really love you" Kai says making Chanyeol look back at his son.

" I love you too sweetheart " Chanyeol gets down on his hunkers to speak with Kai

" What's wrong ?"

" I am having so much fun with you daddy and its been ages" Kai says with his head low and Chanyeol knows he has done this to his son.

" I know sweetheart and I am sorry for not being there for you after mom went but I was scared I wouldn't do a good job like mom did with you"

" Daddy you're doing a great job" Kai says and wraps his arms around his daddy's neck hugging him tight.

" I needed to hear that sweetheart now how about we go out and get some goodies for your sleep over " Chanyeol kisses his sons head as they both rush back to the car and head to the shop Chanyeol seen on the way home.

" Shall we call uncle Lay? " Chanyeol says as they both get into the car and start to head to the shop.

" Yes, please and uncle Sehun " Kai says as Chanyeol dials Lays number first

"Uncle Lay we missed you" Kai shouts making Lay laugh at the other end of the phone as his voice comes through the speakers.

"we miss you here too little guy how is your holiday?"

"oh it is the best me and daddy have new friends and we have been out to the park and are having a sleep over again"

"Oh wow you have been really busy and is your daddy behaving himself?"

"Yes, daddy has a new friend too called Mr Baekhyun he lives next door and has straw pips"

"oh wow seems like you are having a wonderful time"

"yes, Lay we are thanks again for doing this"

"no problem I'm glad we could push you and you finally gave in chanyeol"

"yes, I am too kai is really enjoying it"

"yes, I'm liking it too look we have to call Sehun kai wants to talk to him"

"no need he is here, hey Sehun your shadow is on the phone"

Hanging up the phone they finally arrive at the shop and rush in to buy some sweets before they head home.

Knock knock

"Daddy, can I get the door its Mr Baekhyun and Kyungsoo?"

" Ok " Chanyeol shouts from the bathroom as he just stepped out of the shower.

" Hello Kai, wow look at you in your pj's" Baekhyun says as he steps into the bungalow carrying a bag while wearing a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie looking so comfortable"

" Hey sorry please make yourself at home we went to the shop to get a few things that's how I'm not dressed yet" Chanyeol stands in the sitting room as Baekhyun tries not to drool seeing Chanyeol with just a towel around his waist and still wet from the shower.

"Su....sure n... no problem. Come here kai I will dry your hair while your daddy gets dressed" Baekhyun takes a seat and turns on the hair drying that was sitting on the sofa.

" Thank you I won't be a second" Chanyeol rushes off to his bedroom as Baekhyun watches before biting his lip with want.

" I still like your pink hair" Kai says as he waits for Baekhyun to turn on the hair dryer.

" I like yours too but let's dry it so you don't get a cold " Baekhyun starts to dry the smallest hair as Kyungsoo waits for his friend to be ready.

" There we go" Chanyeol joins them in a hoodie and sweats just as Baekhyun is finished drying Kai's hair.

" Daddy your turn" Kai says taking both Baekhyun and Chanyeol by surprise.

" I'm ok I don't need my hair dried" Chanyeol says the first thing that comes to his mind.

" You will get a cold that's what Baekhyun told me" Kai says as Kyungsoo giggles and joins in.

"I... I don't mind it might stop them going on about it" Baekhyun says softly as he waits to see what Chanyeol will do.

" Ok " Chanyeol moves and sits on the floor to the excitement of the kids with his back facing Baekhyun as the smaller moves so he has his legs either side of Chanyeol's body.

Turning on the hair dryer Baekhyun starts to dry Chanyeol's brown locks by running his fingers through it knowing it doesn't need to be styled.

Chanyeol closes his eyes at the warmth on his head and the touch of Baekhyun fingers through his hair. Baekhyun seems to be in a daze and enjoying himself tossing Chanyeol's hair . The kids have run off leaving the adults alone enjoying the simple moment.

" Your hair is so soft" Baekhyun says over the noise of the hair dryer making Chanyeol nod his head.

Chanyeol can feel the difference in the touch from when Baekhyun first started, and he knows it too well. He can feel his heart race a little, so he moves his arm to his side and touches Baekhyun's foot. Baekhyun happy he took his shoes off finds his heart racing as he feels the warmth of Chanyeol's hand on his foot. He keeps drying the taller's hair till Chanyeol lets his head fall back. Baekhyun looks down and moves closer as Chanyeol opens his eyes catching his gaze.

"I'm sorry " Baekhyun says as Chanyeol keeps looking up at him upside down.

" Don't be" Chanyeol says as Baekhyun leans over more.

" Daddy, can we have sweets now?" Kai enters the room with Kyungsoo as both parents move away from each other.

" Ok go sit on the sofa and I will get you some popcorn " Chanyeol climbs up from the floor as Baekhyun turns off the hair drier and unplugs it.

"Can I use your bathroom?" Baekhyun says as Chanyeol nods as he gets the food ready for the kids.

Baekhyun hurries to the bathroom and quickly locks the door before turning on the tap to splash water on his face.

'Baekhyun you idiot he is still grieving get a grip' he groans to himself as he washes his face.

On his way back to the sitting room he bumps into Chanyeol in the hallway outside the bedrooms.

"Hey, are you ok?" Chanyeol asks with concern as Baekhyun shakes his head.

"I can't help but want to kiss you and I know your grieving still, but I can't help how I feel with you around me"

" I know your hurting too Baekhyun"

" Yes, but nothing like yours is"

"It's not a competition I just don't want to hurt you Baekhyun"

" I know I'm sorry"

"Hey, don't be its ok come on the kids are watching a movie so do you fancy a drink?"

" Yeah, I would love one please" Baekhyun lets out a sigh of calm as he follows Chanyeol into the kitchen"

" What you guys watching ?" Baekhyun stands behind them on the sofa looking trying to figure out the movie.

" Big Hero 6 " Chanyeol says making Baekhyun turn so quickly back around to face him.

" You have seen it before right Kai?" Baekhyun asks knowing this movie the kids brother dies in it'

" Yeah, lots of times Mr Baekhyun" Kai says before stuffing his mouth full of popcorn.

ring ring

" Crap I forgot Lay would be ringing I'll be right back" Chanyeol takes the call outside in the back garden but leaves the door open a little and Baekhyun moves a little closer listening to one side of the conversation.

" Yeah, I'm having a great time lay stop worrying please"

" Yeah, I have a friend too"

" Not like that Lay it wouldn't be fair on him and I wouldn't do that too him he is amazing"

Baekhyun nearly chokes on his drink, so he rushes to the sitting room to cough a little better before moving back to the kitchen close to the door again as he pours out some popcorn for him and Chanyeol.

" Yes, I know I need to move on but ....

" Lay please listen to me I want to I really do but I'm scared and it's so hard for me"

" I know Luhan told me to move on "

Baekhyun keeps himself busy with the food but keep listening.

"I want to kiss him I do he is in my place right now getting food for us and all I want to do is go in there and kiss him after such an amazing day"

"I'm scared lay"

"I will I promise I'll call you in a day or so bye"

Chanyeol hangs up his call and heads back into the kitchen and grabs some glasses.

" I have some soda or alcohol if you fancy a drink?" He asks Baekhyun who is afraid to face him.

" I heard you talking to your friend " Baekhyun whispers as Chanyeol steps closer.

" And what did you hear" Chanyeol stands on Baekhyun's left side as close as he can get.

"I heard you tell him you wanted to kiss someone but was scared to" Baekhyun looks up at Chanyeol who seems to be battling his feelings.

" Can you come help me set up the bedroom for the kids" Chanyeol says aloud making Baekhyun confused but he follows him anyway.

Entering the room Chanyeol closes the door after them and leans his back against it looking at Baekhyun who is so confused right now.

" You are right I do want to kiss you, but I am so scared Baekhyun I haven't felt like this in years, and I feel bad towards you . You are going through so much yourself and I don't want to add to it"

" Its ok I know your scared you told me in the car earlier " Baekhyun touches Chanyeol's arm showing him comfort making Chanyeol look down at it then back up into Baekhyun eyes.

"I'm so sorry Baekhyun "

" Hey, don't be sorry we did nothing wrong I am sure when you are ready you will find an amazing guy "

" I think I already found him" Chanyeol speaks softly making Baekhyun turn his back and cover his mouth in shock.

"It's you Baekhyun " Chanyeol says making Baekhyun turn to face him.

"I kind of worked it out "Baekhyun says with a smile as Chanyeol reaches closer and cups his cheek " You like cheesy things like this "

" I do yes" Baekhyun laughs a little as he feels the warmth of Chanyeol's hand on his cheek.

"Come here" Chanyeol pulls Baekhyun in closer and hugs him before kissing the smaller on the top of the head.

" You deserve someone so much better than a guy who can't get over his dead husband. one that will love you and do all the things you think are cheesy but aren't to me" Chanyeol whispers still holding the smaller in his arms.

"Why say it's me then " Baekhyun looks up at the taller as Chanyeol looks down at him.

" Because it is you Baekhyun I think I just met you at the wrong time. I would go crazy after you if ..."

" If you hadn't lost your husband or was single " Baekhyun finishes the sentence knowing full well what Chanyeol means.

"Yeah, and I keep holding you wanting to kiss you but I'm fighting with my emotions, and it kills me treating you like this "

" Its ok I am understanding you so much better now that we are talking about it . So how about we get the room ready for the kids and we go have a drink and a chat like friends" Baekhyun says as Chanyeol agrees.

As the night goes on and the kids are in bed Chanyeol and Baekhyun are having such a fun time talking about when they were kids and who they dated in school etc till they hear banging coming from Baekhyun's bungalow.

" What was that? " Baekhyun jumps up as Chanyeol rushes to the front door opening it to see Kris drunk again pounding on Baekhyun's door.

"Hey what the hell you are doing over there" Kris shouts seeing Baekhyun coming out of Chanyeol's place

" The kids are having a sleep over what do you want Kris ?" Baekhyun walks closer but Chanyeol can spot Kris clenching his fist and makes a run for him but doesn't get to him on time as Kris punches Baekhyun across the face knocking him to the ground .

" You asshole " Chanyeol reaches and tires to help Baekhyun up off the ground.

"Chanyeol watch out Baekhyun shouts as he sees Kris moves to take a swing at Chanyeol but Chanyeol doesn't move quick enough and gets a punch in the eye.

" Sleeping around on me you whore" Kris shouts as Baekhyun is shaking on the grass outside his bungalow.

" He isn't a whore" Chanyeol steps closer and punches Kris and knocks him out on the grass before returning to Baekhyun to help him up.

" Your bleeding " Baekhyun looks at Chanyeol as the taller just pulls Baekhyun to his feet.

" I'm calling the cops is that ok ?" Chanyeol askes as Baekhyun nods his head in agreement

Once the police have been and gone Baekhyun is more relaxed as Kris has been arrested for drink driving and assault.

" You don't need to clean it I will be fine" Chanyeol says over his shoulder as Baekhyun is getting a little bit of water ready in a bowl to clean Chanyeol's wound.

"Oh don't be a big baby now " Baekhyun teases as he sits in a chair close to Chanyeol and dips a cotton ball into the bowl of water. Chanyeol sits back in the chair and opens his legs wider so Baekhyun can get closer.

" How is your eye?" Chanyeol touches the smaller face gently as not to hurt him.

" Its fine after the lumps of ice you put on it" Baekhyun smiles as he continues to clean the taller's cut.

" Are you ok?" Chanyeol says with a deep soft tone making Baekhyun start to cry.

" No" Baekhyun looks down holding the cotton ball in his hand as he feels Chanyeol's hand reach under his chin and pull his face up to look at him.

" No man should hit you like that" Chanyeol says softly as Baekhyun fights himself from wanting to kiss the taller.

" I will be ok just like you" Baekhyun says as Chanyeol keep looking into the smaller's eyes. Baekhyun goes for it and kisses Chanyeol softly on the lips then pulls away again.

" I'm sorry shit" Baekhyun says while standing up ready to move away but Chanyeol grabs his hand and makes him sit again.

"Kiss me " Chanyeol says softly making Baekhyun look confused.

" If you don't kiss me I won't get the courage to kiss you Baek I need you to make the first move again please" Chanyeol says as Baekhyun leans closer and kisses Chanyeol again softly on the lips wanting and enticing him to kiss back. Chanyeol fights it but then finally calms and lets his feelings come out as he cups Baekhyun's cheeks and kisses him back so softly making Baekhyun cry into the kiss.

" Don't cry" Chanyeol pulls away as he too wipes tears from his face.

"You tell me not to cry and you're crying what are we like" Baekhyun says as he laughs a little making Chanyeol smile and laugh too.

" I need to ask you this, but I don't really want to "

" Ask Baekhyun, Please "

" Do you regret it ?"

" I do regret it as being at a horrible time with what just happened that's the only regret, I have Baekhyun" Chanyeol says while taking Baekhyun's hand in his.

"So if I kissed you again you wouldn't mind?" Baekhyun watches as Chanyeol just smirks "no I wouldn't mind it".

" Good to know" Baekhyun says while standing up and moving to the sink to get rid of the water.

" Oh you're a tease" Chanyeol says as he stands behind the smaller who is giggling to himself.

" You're a tease you are half naked most of the time when I see you" Baekhyun turns to face the taller as Chanyeol blushes

" Not my faut you need me at a crazy time"

"true" Baekhyun smiles as he washes his hands.

"Fancy watching a movie?" Chanyeol says making Baekhyun smiles " I'd love too"

As they both sit on the sofa opposite ends to each other they both dig into some food and watch the movie. Baekhyun knows that kiss was probably a once off, but he knows the deal and won't get too involved till Chanyeol is ready.

Chanyeol on the other end of the sofa can't believe he kissed someone after all these years. He doesn't regret it he just needs to get used to the idea Luhan isn't coming back and His husband was right he needs to move on and enjoy his life again . As he twisted his wedding ring on his finger Baekhyun spots him and gives him a tap on the leg with his foot.

" You, ok?"

" Yeah, just thinking that's all"

" About Luhan?"

" Yeah, only just now though and I know I need to move on, and I will in time"

" Yeah, baby steps " Baekhyun smiles he turns back to watch the tv.

" Yeah, just baby steps " Chanyeol agrees and twirls the ring one more time before he too enjoys the movie .
