Chapter 1

Taehyung always loved to write.

He didn't know when exactly it all started, but he assumes it was somewhen in elementary school, when they had a task of writing poems. He liked the idea, letting his inspirational ideas run free.

He kind of happened to always have a way of words that mesmerized the teachers and some of his classmates, only leaving a minority being jealous or unbothered. It truthfully was his biggest, stunning talent.

With all the support he got, he was happy to be able to fulfill his passion and write about anything as he was growing up. Before, it would always be about the nature. The spring, the flowers, the clouds, butterflies. Anything that amazed him.

But as Taehyung reached college and moved to Busan, never did he expect to start writing something completely else. Not about something, but to a someone.

So there he was, sitting on the partly empty tribunes of the football field, wearing a soft rosy jacket as it was a little windy on that sunny, warm day, with his precious notebook and pen in his hands.

"Go Jeongguk!! Gooo! You're doing great!!!" some girls, sitting about ten meters away from him cheered loudly, admiring a certain, muscular, offensive player currently running with the ball to the touchdown. His thighs were moving quickly, body sculptured like the ones of a Greek god with broad shoulders. The girls loved it and squealed loudly to undermine that.

In no time, the player with a 09 on his back ran to the touchdown, gracefully dodging all defensive players and scored another six points. This has been going on since the match started. Literally nothing could stop the Jeon Jeongguk, so of course, he was heavenly idolized by many.

Including Taehyung.

His second college year has only started one or two months ago. Yet since the moment Taehyung saw Jeongguk, a newcomer in the football-team play, he couldn't resist but come to his every match and training, pretending to just find his peace there and write his usual poems, not being noticed by anyone in general, staying in the gray, preferable shadow. Yet actually, he mainly came to secretly watch him play.

But that wasn't all- almost every day, Taehyung would leave a small love letter in Jeongguk's locker room in school. And to make sure he would never find out who he is, it was always at random times. Before school, after school, before lunch time, and so on.

Since he is really shy, this was the only form he could show his love to him and reach out to him. And somehow, it always made him feel free, giggly, lovely. It was just a (big) crush he had, but his heart never failed to pound very loudly at the thought of Jeongguk. He wished he could get to know him more, he really did.

Taehyung smiled to himself when he saw the boy he crushed on putting off his football helmet, flashing a proud bunny grin when he walked to his mates, congratulating them on the good, finished game by high-fiving them, but also getting cheered on by them. He could see a happy aura around him, and it made his heart skip a beat.

Taehyung scribbled some words that came to his mind when seeing Jeongguk smile, always glancing over to him with a blush on his cheeks. But at some point, he stopped writing, and froze in place.

That beautiful, manly human being caught him looking, and stared. As soon as Taehyung realized that these chocolate- brown eyes were directed to him, his breath hitched, his lips went dry.

After a two seconds or three, he panicked, and quickly started packing things into his white, small backpack. In the meantime, for some odd reason, Jeongguk bid his colleagues goodbye, waved at them shortly and made his way to the tribune. The girls that came to see Jeongguk play cheered louder, thinking he's coming to them.

Disappointment was written on their faces, along with sad "Ooh..." 's following when they saw that he didn't even bother to look at them, and instead, just passed them casually. They didn't know Jeongguk had his eyes on someone completely else, until they looked to where he was going.

Taehyung quickly stood up and put on his backpack, only thinking about how to leave the place as quickly as possible. He didn't even realize that Jeon Jeongguk was heading towards him, walking up the stairs. Only did he notice when he turned to the side, because then, a hand was wrapped around his wrist, stopping him from doing so.

Taehyung flinched and gasped, quickly looking back to who it was. And when he did, his pretty puppy eyes widened in disbelief. He was greeted with a warm smile by Jeongguk. Yes, the Jeon Jeongguk.

"Hey! Who are you? " his calm, warm voice resounded, making Taehyung feel entangled in amazement. He was even more handsome up close. At this very moment, he was questioning how that was even possible.

When Taehyung didn't respond (being too shocked to do so) and let the shivers run down his spine, the gorgeous man slowly let go of his hand, tilting his head. Then, the elder realized that this handsome guy was waiting for an answer. Quickly, he cleared his throat.

"I-I-I'm T-Taehyung-" he stuttered out squeakily, wanting to mentally slap himself for not being able to let out an easy sentence coherently like this, making him feel pathetic.

However, the other just smiled again, not minding at all. "I'm Jeongguk... you know, I always see you sitting here, watching the game. But you disappear so quickly.. I never get the chance to talk to you." he laughed quite adorably, and it made Taehyung's cheeks flush in a crimson red, also stunning him.

He knew about it? So he noticed me? WHAT?? He thought, feeling incredibly embarrassed yet shocked at the same time. The muscular boy seemed to notice his increasing shyness, so he decided to make him feel more comfortable again, chuckling.

"Don't worry. I don't find it weird or anything. In fact, I'm happy. It kinda feels nice playing while knowing you're watching," he winked, which made Taehyung's jaw drop a little. Was he- was he flirting??

"I-I.. whah-" he mumbled, blinking his lashes, not really knowing what or how to respond. Seeing his reaction, Jeongguk seemed in fact, amused.

"Do you wanna go and drink a cup of coffee with me? There's a nice cafeteria nearby." he spoke gently, and again, took his wrist which was covered with his soft sweater paw of his jacket. Taehyung was staring at him with his big eyes, quietly whispering a shy "s-sure," before he got dragged softly along, off the tribune. The girls were staring with pouts on their lips and hmph-ing in jealousy.

And as they walked like this, Taehyung couldn't believe his luck. He could only stare at the back of his crush, wondering if all of this was real right now.
