Approaching! The fourth letter!!
"Hehe, she's so damn cute! I hate you Yuri", Natsuki thought while she watched the purple girl read her newest letter with her smooth cheeks turning pink to then look around surprised, probably due to what it said.
"Take some time to think about it Yuri, I'll see you later at the club", Natsuki smiled eagerly and made her way out of the scene without being noticed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yo Yuri, what's up?", Natsuki asked, sitting down next to the purple girl. "Eh? N-Nothing", Yuri replied a little nervous.
"Another letter from your secret admirer?", Natsuki asked and Yuri simply nodded shyly. "What's wrong then? You look kinda anxious about it, unlike other times when you are all dreamy and shit", Natsuki asked trying to sound casual.
"W-Why do you-", Yuri tried to ask but was abruptly interrupted. "IT'S NOT LIKE I WAS PAYING ATTENTION TO YOU OR ANYTHING!", Natsuki quickly exclaimed as she realized.
"A-Anyway, did something happen or what?", Natsuki asked trying to change the topic. "Ummm i-it is not something bad, it is just this time they said something... Intriguing?", Yuri replied nervous.
"How come?", Natsuki asked faking curiosity and surprise. "This time... I-I think they gave hints on w-who they are... L-Like trying to let me know they are c-close or something...", Yuri replied nervous.
"Heh... So you have any idea of who they might be?", Natsuki asked in expectation. "Not sure... B-But the best c-clue I have is that apparently they are someone that has talked to me at some point... M-Maybe someone from my classroom?", Yuri said deep in thought.
"Dammit you're as dense as you're beautiful", Natsuki thought a little disappointed of her crush not even considering the club and thus not her. "Maybe... But there's more people you may have talked to here right? Not just your classmates", Natsuki replied.
"W-Well... There is Monika and Sayori...! D-Do you think they-?!", Yuri asked concerned. "No, I'm pretty sure they are not doing that, Monika is too straight forward and would tell you that she likes you in your face, and Sayori ain't smart enough to do something so complicated", Natsuki replied with crossed arms, frowning.
"T-Then... Maybe someone from last y-years class...", Yuri muttered reflectively. "Good luck with that", Natsuki sighed disappointed and went back to her usual corner, while the purple girl kept thinking about all the people she has talked to during her time in high school.
"I need to approach her more, otherwise she just won't realize... Dammit", Natsuki sighed and buried her face on her knees for the time being.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey!", a dark blue haired girl cheerfully said, appearing out of nowhere in front of the pink girl's desk. "Eh? Ah... Sup...", Natsuki replied realizing the presence of the short haired girl after snapping out of her train of thoughts.
"Emm, do you wanna eat lunch with me?", Ryona asked shyly with her hands behind her back. "I-I don't know... I didn't bring any lunch today and...", Natsuki tried to excuse herself with something that was actually true.
"No problem! You can eat half of mine! It's a lot of food anyway", Ryona grinned. "No... I don't wanna steal your food", Natsuki replied with am awkward smile.
"It's not stealing if I'm giving it to you!", Ryona exclaimed and pulled an empty chair nearby, sitting next to the pink haired one. "I really am not-", Natsuki was about to say when a loud growl coming from her empty stomach cut her off at the sight and smell of food.
"Eat up!", Ryona said with a sweet smile. "Dammit...", Natsuki muttered and blushed profusely. "Alright, thanks", Natsuki sighed and gave in, knowing that would probably be her only meal today.
And so the days passed and the dark blue haired would continue trying to approach the pink haired one.
Natsuki would sometimes hide, sometimes her stomach would betray her and make her stay, but nonetheless she kept feeling bad for the athletic girl who kept trying to be around her and get to know her.
The pink girl was not used to get so much attention on her and it made her nervous, besides she already had someone her mind just couldn't let go off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Monika...", the red bow girl said with a soft voice. "Um? Yeah, what's up Sayori? I thought you'd be all quiet today as well", the brunette replied with a sweet smile.
"Hehe, sorry about that... Ummm can I ask for some advice?", Sayori asked shyly. "Ho-ho-ho! Go ahead!", Monika smirked widely as she rested her chin on her hands.
"Don't do that!", Sayori pouted. "Hahaha sorry, sorry, what is it then?", Monika asked with a sweet smile.
"Well... First of all, you can't tell this to anyone! Okay? It's... T-There's someone I like and... Stop doing that!", Sayori exclaimed as she noticed Monika's smug smirk. "Hahaha, sorry, it's hard to hold back, but I'll do my best now!", Monika smiled and erased her wide smirk off her face.
"As I was saying, there's this person I like but... Well, they apparently like someone else, although they're not anything yet I think... I really haven't talked much to this person but... What do you think I should do? Should I just let them be or... Do you think... I could have a chance with them?", Sayori asked with her index fingertips pressed against each other and of course, blushing as hell.
"Sayori! Of course you have a chance! You're a sweet girl and I'm pretty sure all you need to do is go for that person and their heart will be yours in no time! Try talking to them more, become friends, also don't mention anything about whoever this person likes, just focus on being you around them and conquer!", Monika said enthusiastically.
"Easier said that done...", Sayori mumbled nervous. "I know but that's the only way, now I expect to hear more about you and your crush tomorrow, I want advances, got it?", Monika asked fired up.
"Okay, okay! I'll try...", Sayori sighed with a somewhat relieved smile, thanks to her taking that out her chest. "Just be the bubbly and sweet Sayori we all love and they'll fall for you, trust me!", Monika smiled sweetly, messing Sayori's hair playfully.
"Purple and dense... Purple and dense... Ugh...", Natsuki mumbled as she prepared to head out of the school, putting some stuff in he locker she doesn't need to take home. "Hey, Natsu!", A familiar voice called from nearby.
"Eh? Oh, it's you", Natsuki said bluntly as she closed her locker, which revealed the dark blue haired girl behind the door. "Almost sounds like you're not very happy to see me hehe...", Ryona smiled awkwardly.
"Sorry, it's not that, I was just thinking about stuff", Natsuki replied. "I understand. Emmm, do you wanna walk home with me?", Ryona asked expectantly.
"A-Ah... Well... I-I... I actually just remembered I have to get home fast! Sorry, I don't wanna make you run with me haha... Gotta go!", Natsuki said adjusting her backpack and ready to dash out of the scene, however the dark blue haired girl grabbed her by the arm gently.
"I have my bicycle around, I could give you a ride and...", Ryona said awkwardly. "No, no, I don't wanna be a bother! See you tomorrow or something, bye!", Natsuki said as she freed herself from the taller girl and ran away like the flash.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What's wrong with Natsuki? That girl just...???", Monika muttered to her red bow friend, immediately noticing the look in her blue eyes, while both were hidden behind some lockers watching the scene.
"Eh? I don't know, she just wants to be friends right?", Sayori said smiling nervous. "Yeah... Anyways let's go Sayori, I need to get home, got a lot of homework to do.
Sayori nodded as both started walking, passing next to the dark blue haired girl who was still immersed in her thoughts. The peach haired girl tried to walk as far as possible from her crush, but Monika already had a plan.
"Ou! Sorry, SORRY!!", Sayori bowed her head in shame repeatedly after hitting the taller girl with her body. "It's fine, don't worry", Ryona replied with a polite smile.
"I'm really sorry! It's just my friend pushed me for some... Reason...", Sayori tried to excuse herself turning around to look at her brunette friend, however, Monika had vanished without leaving even a trace of her presence.
"You okay?", Ryona asked giggling. "Eh?! Yeah! I just.... Ugh... I'm so sorry!", Sayori said with her head low in shame.
"Don't worry, really, how have you been by the way emmm Sa... Sayori, right?", Ryona asked with a happy smile. "You... Remember me...?", Sayori asked dumbfounded.
"Of course I do! You're the girl that draws cool stuff, we met almost two months ago... Although we haven't really talked since then", Ryona said with her finger on her cheer, reflectively as Sayori's cheeks turned a dark pink color.
"So how's it going?", Ryona asked sweetly. "G-Going good, how about you?", Sayori asked shyly.
"Going fine, emm do you wanna continue this conversation while we walk home?", Ryona asked. "Eh? Me? With you?", Sayori asked nervous.
"Ah... Sorry, I got carried away again... If you don't want to i-", Ryona said scratching her cheek nervous. "No! I want to go!", Sayori exclaimed almost panicking, cutting the taller girl off.
"Okay! Then let's get going!", Ryona exclaimed happily as both headed out of the school.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Is that...? I didn't know she lived this way...", The pink girl said, now walking home after her successful escape, noticing a purple figure in the distance, who was standing and apparently looking at something.
"I said I needed to approach her more... If this isn't a divine sign I don't know what the hell it is", Natsuki mumbled to herself and after a long sigh she started walking faster to catch up with her purple haired clubmate.
"Boo!", Natsuki said poking Yuri's side, making the taller girl jump and squeak startled. "Fuck she's so adorable!!", Natsuki thought immediately trying to calm her fangirl heart.
"N-Natsuki? What are you doing here?", Yuri asked as she regained her composure. "I live around here, well not like here here, but in this direction... Agh, whatever, what are you doing here?", Natsuki asked with crossed arms feisty as ever.
"I-I live nearby too...", Yuri replied shyly. "Duh, I figured, I mean here, what are you looking at there?", Natsuki said pointing at the door Yuri was looking at a moment ago, which had written 'Fortune teller' in fancy purple letters.
"Umm I-I do not really believe in this... B-But maybe they could help me with the letter thing... I-I mean, it would not hurt to try, right?", Yuri explained, running her fingers across a strand of her purple hair. "Wha- no! I-I mean that's cheating you dummy! You gotta find out by yourself! Follow me, I have a better idea", the pink one said turning around with the purple one following her a bit confused.
Around 5 minutes later they arrived at a not so big but not so small place full of flashy machines and mostly middle schoolers.
"An arcade?", Yuri asked confused. "Yeah, you maybe aren't able to figure out who your secret admirer is because you're thinking too much about it. Getting your mind off things usually helps to get your ideas straight and that kind of shit", Natsuki explained.
"S-So you brought me here for...", Yuri said confused. "Duh! To get you distracted from your stuff, you need to have some fun sometimes geez... I'm sure you'll be able to find out who has a crush on you later when you are not so damn tense", Natsuki sighed.
"I-I see... Well... I have not really been in a place like this before", Yuri replied as she looked around and glanced at the various games there. "Well, I'll show you how to have fun you Miss bookworm, there's fighting games here, racing games, they even have a driver seat like a real car and...", Natsuki started saying when she suddenly noticed the purple girl wasn't listening and instead had her eyes fixated on something.
"No. No, no, no. Nonononononono!", Natsuki said panicking when she realized Yuri was staring with sparkly violet eyes at a machine with two guns attached that it read 'House of the dead II'. "T-That one looks interesting...", Yuri said shyly.
"NO! Look there's more...", Natsuki began saying when Yuri unconsciously made a sad puppy expression that pierced through the pink girl's heart. "Okay, okay, fine! Let's go, but if I die from a heart attack it's your fault", Natsuki sighed defeated as Yuri smiled cutely in response, causing the pink girl's fast pounding heart to go off limits.
"I'm gonna regret this I know it", Natsuki mumbled nervous as she took the 2nd player gun and braced herself for what was about to come while Yuri looked focused on the screen.
"Kyah! God damnit where did that fucker came from!", Natsuki exclaimed after 1 minute into the game when a zombie suddenly popped up on her side of the screen.
"Fucking dammit! Shoot him!!", Natsuki shouted a moment later when a fat zombie tried to grab her out of nowhere.
"Eek! Dammit why do they just keep popping up on my side of the screen?!", Natsuki shouted after another zombie appeared out of nowhere, shooting around the screen, aiming everywhere but at him.
"Fucking gross!! Get them off me!!", Natsuki shouted as multiple larvas stuck on her side of the screen.
...
"Phew... At least he's dead now, that was tough but we did it now we can go to other game", Natsuki said after both defeated the first boss, a headless zombie in a knight armor with a big axe.
"That is just the first one though... We still have some more...", Yuri began saying but the pink girl's heart wouldn't be able to handle more so she dragged her friend away from that game. "This is much more fun, come on I'll beat you up", Natsuki said confident now both about to play a game called Tekken.
...
"Ha! You're no match for me!", Natsuki grinned victorious after her third win in a row. "I-I did better this last round though...", Yuri said smiling.
"Yeah, but not enough!", Natsuki said with crossed arms and a proud smile. "If I could do those moves that do a lot of damage maybe I could win", Yuri replied reflectively.
"You wish, but fine, I'll teach you how to do them", Natsuki said as she inserted another coin for Yuri to continue. "Pay attention, you move the stick like this and press this two buttons at the same time...", Natsuki explained, pulling out a special move for her character.
"L-Like this...?", Yuri said and tried a few times but the move just wouldn't happen. "It is harder than it looks like", Yuri said.
"Bullshit, here let me show you, you move it like this. Press those two buttons, the yellow and red ones at the same time, keep pressing them repeatedly", Natsuki explained, putting her hand on top of Yuri's to guide her on how to move the stick gently.
"It worked!", Yuri said excited. "See? Just keep pressing and...!!", Natsuki said and finally realized her hand was still on top of Yuri's. The pink girl quickly pulled her hand and looked away to hide her madly blushing face, while Yuri blushed as hard when she realized what just happened.
"L-Let's just get back at it, I'll beat your ass again", Natsuki said after an awkward silence, to which Yuri nodded as both resumed their game.
========================
The pink and purple girls played a few more games after that and eventually, Natsuki realized it was getting a bit late so she, much to her regret, had to called it a day.
Now knowing both lived in the same direction, the two girls walked back home, chatting about the games they just played and everyday stuff until they finally reached the point where both had to part ways.
"I-I stop here", Yuri said interrupting their friendly chat. "Ah, okay, I still have another 10 minutes of walk, see you tomorrow", Natsuki said waving a hand.
And then with the sun almost setting, shining behind the pink girl, the image of Natsuki's cute smile as she waved her small hand goodbye to her, engraved on Yuri's mind for a reason she didn't understand.
"I-I had fun, thank you very much f-for hanging out with me", Yuri said feeling a bit funny. "Yeah, no problem, it's nice to be around you... I MEAN IT'S NOT LIKE I LIKE TO BE AROUND YOU OR ANYTHING", Natsuki yelled with her face burning red, quickly realizing her subconscious had betrayed her.
"S-See you tomorrow then", Yuri said blushing lightly, waving a hand in return to then turn around and walk away, still feeling a bit nervous but somehow refreshed and with her mind much clearer.
"Please realize...", Natsuki mumbled as she watched the purple one walk away, her long beautiful hair gracefully waving thanks to the light late spring breeze blowing.
A/N: sorry if this chapter ain't that good but I've been a bit sick these days and kind of facing a writer's block again, but I had to pull this one out so I could get back on track, which thankfully seemed to work, now I feel the ideas for my other stories flowing again!!
That is all!!
