lake 192
The travel to the private lake house was smoother than Roséanne had expected.
She and Jimin did meet up in front of his family manor, and without words needed, he sped off with his Mercedes as soon as he caught sight of her Tesla. The trip lasted for less than a couple of hours (thankfully, the traffic wasn't heavy or else they'd be extremely late) but Roséanne was grateful that they at least arrived during the sunset, just right on time.
Now, she's standing at the small distance from the supposed guest house and the lake house itself, quietly observing the latter on her left. The place looks cozy, especially with the minimalistic exterior and floor to ceiling windows. It's quiet here, she realizes, the sounds of insects and the water being the only things she could hear. It's just perfect.
"You like it?" She hears Jimin's voice from behind. His footsteps gets nearer until he stops right next to her. "It's owned by one of my friends, I think you know him... Jongin?"
Roséanne has heard of the name before, so she nods. "The name's familiar." She turns her head to the side to see Jimin gazing at the lake, surprisingly calm and quiet. "Are we just gonna stand here?"
He chuckles and looks at her. "If you want to."
"No, thanks," she refuses and turns back to the lake house. This time, she sees a woman exiting the house and walking towards them with a smile. "She must be the agent."
She feels him nod.
"Good evening, Mr. and Ms. Park!" the woman starts in a chirpy voice. "I'm glad to see you take interest in Lake 192. My name is Seulgi and I'll be touring you today."
The agent--Seulgi--gives a knowing look at Jimin. By this time, Roséanne knows what it means, judging by the way Jimin avoids her look.

The tour starts off right away. Seulgi begins by touring them in the lake house itself, talking about how the location is usually where advertisements were filmed and how it won the Korean architecture award. Roséanne makes a mental note in her head about the interior (two rooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room) and the size of the yard outside.
Jimin and Seulgi engages themsleves in short exchanges sometimes, but most of the time, it's Roséanne that asks Seulgi questions (she doesn't really have to, but it's fairly obvious that Jimin's uncomfortable with the agent around, so she takes initiative.)
When she catches Jimin's gaze, he gives her a thankful nod. She rolls her eyes in response.
By the time the tour is over, it's already past 8 o'clock. Roséanne's phone gallery is already filled with the pictures she'd taken a while ago, mainly shots of the yard and the terraces for references.
"So, what do you think?" Seulgi finally pops the question as she looks expectantly at the both of them.
Jimin stares at her, too, waiting for her decision.
She grins. "I think it's perfect."
Seulgi's shoulders relaxed. "That's great! I would like to give you-" she says as she fishes out something from her pocket, "-our business card, so that we can give you constant updates on your payment method, the number of nights you'll be here and the likes." She hands her a small card. "Do you have any questions?"
Roséanne shames her head. "Jimin?"
He replies in half a second. "I don't."
"That wraps it up," Seulgi announces. "Thank you so much for taking an interest in Lake 192, we'll keep in touch."
They exchange a few words before Seulgi walks back to the house and Jimin finally releases a breath that he's been holding.
"You're so dramatic," Roséanne says under her breath as she goes to her car.
"Not the same as you," Jimin retorts before getting in his. She hears the muffled roar of the engine, and she carefully picks up the business card that Seulgi gave her. She types into her phone the number and sets it in her contact, all while hearing Jimin's car speed off.
His ass couldn't really wait for me, huh.
Huffing, she turns on her car, the engine coming to life for a good five seconds, before it turns off again.
"What..." she whispers and attempts to turn it on once more. It whines, then stops.
Roséanne's mind blanks out. She tries again and again, only to receive the same results. Her car wouldn't turn on.
"Shit," she curses as she looks outside of her car. There are no other vehicles passing through this area as it is a private property, and night has consumed the skies so she couldn't walk towards the nearest bus stop.
That means she has no other choice.
Gritting her teeth, she takes her phone from the front seat and dials Jimin, who picks up after two rings.
"What?" His voice says through the device.
"I'm having trouble here," Roséanne immediately tells him. "My car won't turn on."
"Ride a bus."
"Does it look like I'm familiar to the area, you idiot?"
She hears a few shuffles before Jimin speaks again. "Wait there."
The call ends with a beep.
Great.
