Part 7: One More Time...
[THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL CHAPTER 7! I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH HOW IT WAS PERFORMING SO I TOOK IT DOWN AND COMPLETELY RECONSTRUCTED THE STORY. THE START IS THE SAME, BUT THAT IS IT. MY ENTIRE REASON FOR WRITING STORIES IS TO DELIVER SOMETHING YOU CAN ENJOY, AND I FEEL THE LAST CHAPTER WAS A STEP AWAY FROM THAT PURPOSE. IT WAS TOO DIFFERENT TO THE BOOK AND IT SHOWCASED THAT. SO I HAVE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS AFTER WRITING THE ORIGINAL TO DELIVER THIS VERSION. I hope you can enjoy...]

[3rd Person POV]
"And the winner is..." [Mumbles] "By a long margin..." [Out Loud] "(Y/N) (L/N)!"
With the release of the name, the crowd of onlooking students exploded in an uproar of cheers. Well, most of them. Those that stood nearby the carnage were left shocked and unable to pick up their jaws. Then again, what would expect when you see Enji Todoroki, one of the strongest students in all of U.A., lying amongst the rubble of a broken wall? A look of pure grief resting on his face as steam rises from his body. What was surprising, however, was the fact that steam wasn't only coming from Enji's body...But another.
Not far away, resting in a battle stance, steam fiercely rose from (Y/n)'s body. His head remained lowered as a grin spread across his lips. It felt like nothing happened. It was so fast that no one was sure of what they saw. All they knew now was that Enji was unconscious, surrounded by rubble, and (Y/n) was left the victor. But as the cheers continued to rise from those around the pair, (Y/n) lifted his head to showcase no cocky nature whatsoever. Even after such a flawless victory, (Y/n) kept his charismatic nature as he scratched the back of his head.
(Y/n): "Haha! Sorry about that, Enji. Guess I didn't hold myself back enough with that punch, huh?"
"Punch?"
"One punch?"
"He did all that damn with...a single punch?"
The sound of pure awe filled their voices. They could hardly believe that (Y/n) was able to beat Enji, but the fact he referenced only using a single punch...It made them even more flabbergasted and left (Y/n) in a stoic manner for those around him. As for Enji, he wasn't completely humiliated. A simple, though fragile, thumbs-up was given by the redhead. As soon as (Y/n) saw that he offered one in return before turning to walk off the field.
(Y/n): "Alright! Now that that's over with..." [Sighs] "I'm hungry." [Calls out] "Hey! Toshi! Hizashi! Aizawa! Grab Enji and let's go get food!!!"
Hizashi: "R-Right! Come on, Aizawa, help me out."
Aizawa: [Sighs] "Sometimes I forget (Y/n) is that powerful."
Toshinori: "Oh! I hope Enji is okay!" [Calls out] "Don't worry, Best Friend! I'm coming!"
Enji: [Groans through pain] "L-Let me die in peace...a-asshole..."
Toshinori: "Ha! Don't make me laugh, best friend!"
Enji: "I'm not...Your friend..."
But Toshinori didn't seem to care for Enji's ridiculously funny jokes. He remained smiling as he dashed to help the others in pulling Enji from the rubble. As for (Y/n), he walked off the field and started heading for the Cafeteria. However, as the crowd parted, both out of shock and new-found respect for the male, amongst them were a few familiar faces. Out of everyone in the room, both Kayama and Rumi were left in disbelief.
This was the first proper time they had seen (Y/n)'s Quirk in action, and after witnessing it they found him even more unbelievable. Not because he looked hot as fuck when fighting, as Rumi's brain wanted to completely remind her. The way his muscles flexed in such a way that made them even more impressive than her own...It left the future Rabbit Hero unable to think properly.
Or the matter in which Kayama struggled to see the friendly, good-natured, (Y/n) in the same body as the person who just fought. It wasn't like (Y/n) had lost that good side to him. Of course not. It's merely the fact that Kayama couldn't believe someone so friendly could cause so much damage and remain down to earth. They couldn't even say anything to him as he walked passed them and out of the gym.
Kayama: "...There's no way that was (Y/n), right?"
Rumi: "...No wonder I am attracted to him."
They said, barely unable to hear the other. But both females were suddenly reminded of where they were when out of nowhere the voice of Kaina formed between them.
Kaina: "And that's (Y/n) on a good day."
Kayama/Rumi: "Huh?"
Kaina: "When (Y/n) was younger, he could barely win a fight. But after everyone turned against him when he was a kid, (Y/n) put all his efforts into being a hero. But not out of some kind of way to put his anger into a good purpose. But because he only wanted to help people more now. That's the person (Y/n) is. And that's the person I will protect from people who may want to hurt him more."
Kayama: "But we told you! We don't want to hurt, (Y/n)!"
Rumi: "Well, I cannot say the same for Kimino next to me--But I do not want to hurt (Y/n)..." [Mutters] "Especially after seeing him fight just now..."
The words of Kayama and Rumi remained in the air momentarily as Kaina thought over them. But yet again, both girls were left disappointed. Kaina scoffing them off as she stared back at them.
Kaina: "You think you two are the only girls to fall for (Y/n)?"
Kayama: "Well, I mean, his charm isn't exactly what normal girls would look for--"
Kaina: "Then you'd be wrong. Every time me and (Y/n) go out we have girls come up to us asking for his number. They'd come up so often that the only way I could get them to stop is by holding his arm. They thought I was his girlfriend then so they backed off..."
Kayama: "R-Really?"
Rumi: "He was that popular?" [Mutters] "Though, after seeing him fight just now..."
Kaina: "SEE! This is what I'm talking about!"
The sudden snap immediately caused the girls' eyes to burst open.
Kaina: "Here you are saying you like him, yet you doubt other girls like him!" [Turns to Rumi] "And you can't help but keep bringing up how he fights!"
Rumi: "It is what I am attracted to him most...O-Of course. Nothing else..."
A slight blush resonated on Rumi's face, clearly, she was hiding more. But instead of that helping in the matter. Kaina merely sighed as she shook her head softly. Her purple hair moving around like purple rain.
Kaina: "...This is why I will not let either of you come close to (Y/n). You're both nothing but trouble for him. And I refuse to see (Y/n) get hurt again... So the only way you'll get with him is if you beat me."
Kayama: "B-Beat you?"
Rumi: [Grins] "Finally! Something I'm good at!"
Rumi was so eager that she was ready to fight right now. She was suddenly silenced, however, when Kaina raised a hand to stop the girl with rabbit ears in the process.
Kaina: "Not here. This is a matter to be kept between the three of us. And I don't want (Y/n) to get any pain over this. Because, clearly, he has already fallen for you both...Tsk. Silly boy."
And just like that everything shut down for Rumi and Kayama. Did...Did she just say that (Y/n) had already fallen for them? Whether she did or not, the mere thought of that left both girls to shut down. It affected them so much they couldn't move. Couldn't talk. All they could do was just stand there as that one thought rushed through their minds...
"Did (Y/n) like them both?"
That was the question both Rumi and Kayama asked themselves as the seconds built to minutes. In that time they questioned, after everything they had already done, what else could they do to show this boy how they felt? And was it even worth it at this point? That last mark was only left for a brief moment before the girls turned to each other in union and silently agreed, that this was worth it. So, after everything they did. They decided to do this One More Time...And that's exactly what they did...
--2 Days Later: 'Rumi'--
The sound of distant voices filled the air as a fun carnival rolled into the city of Musutafu. Countless rides and events could be seen for all ages. Whether it be tasty foods, carnival games, or even a petting zoo. There was everything for everyone, but for Rumi Usagiyama, it was the perfect location for her time to confess to (Y/n). Prior to this day, both Rumi and Kayama agreed that it would be best to take their own separate moments to confess their feelings to the boy.
After all, they wanted them to be special. Now, a carnival may not be the most thought of place when pinning Rumi next to confessing. But for reasons unknown, Rumi wanted this place to be her moment to tell (Y/n) how she felt. But when Kayama originally asked why. Rumi stated that she simply wanted to crush (Y/n) in all the carnival games to show how superior she was to him.
Followed immediately by a wave of loud, and presumably fake laughter before stomping off. It definitely left Kayama confused. But Rumi's plan seemed to be working so far, as her and (Y/n), were both decked in casual clothes of a loose shirt with pink and white stripes, and jeans, compared to a buttoned-up shirt and some long pants from the pair. (Y/n) currently carrying a plethora of stuffed animals, whilst Rumi walked by his side with a smile and some cotton candy.
Rumi: [Smirks] "Are you enjoying your prizes, (Y/n)?"
(Y/n): "Uh, yeah, Rumi. I, um...I sure am. Thanks for inviting me." [Chuckles nervously] "You know, when Kayama said you wanted me to come to the carnival with you because you were scared. I couldn't believe it. I never thought the great Rumi was afraid of clowns..."
Rumi: [Eyes flinching] "S-She said that, did she?"
Of course Kayama said that. She couldn't just stay back and allowed her and (Y/n) to have a fun time. She had to ruin it with fake stories that totally weren't true.
(Y/n): "But...One question. You do realize you didn't have to win me so many, right?"
Rumi: "Preposterous! It is only natural for you to witness my impeccable abilities in all their glory!" [Smirks] "It is only an amount of time before you submit to my mere inability to fail (Y/n). Then you shall admit you love me."
Rumi stated to her inner thoughts with a grin. That's right. Rumi's plan was to basically make (Y/n) crumble to the point he admits being in love with Rumi, solely based on the fact that he was nowhere near her immaculate structure. Basically, she wanted to crush (Y/n)'s silly boy brain into realizing he was in love with her, and would go about admitting such in a way that would push this process quite a distance.
And if that wouldn't work, she was sure flashing (Y/n) her impressive biceps would do the trick. He seemed to not stop talking about them, as was every other person. For they were clearly jealous of Rumi and she was not merely picturing any of this in her head. Now... Not exactly the way most people would go about having their feelings being confessed. But to Rumi, this was a master plan that would not fail. And she simply wished to further that process when her eyes landed on her next target.
"Step right up! Step right up and test out your strength! Weild the mighty hammer and show your true strength to one and all!"
Is what the man working the carnival game stated, but to Rumi's ears, it went more like this...
"Hurry up and get up here, losers! Grab the hammer and crush this bell like it was your enemies. Also, (Y/n), stop being stupid with your boy brain and TELL ME YOU LOVE ME--"
As soon as Rumi's brain made this up, a large smile sprung to the rabbit hero's lips. It wasn't long before (Y/n) noticed such. He was seconds away from asking about it when out of nowhere Rumi grabbed him by the crop of his shirt and stormed off into the distance. Causing all his stuffed animals to be drop to the ground. The next thing (Y/n) knew, he was waiting in line for the 'Test of Strength' game with Rumi.
The way in which Rumi eagerly smiled as she waited her turn was enough to make (Y/n) smile to himself. He really did love seeing this side of her. It was the true self Rumi didn't like bringing out in public, and (Y/n) knew that. So he never pushed Rumi. But when it did come out. He loved the moment even more. And clearly, Rumi loved this moment. For when it was finally her turn to test her strength, she was more than eager to get it going.
Male Worker: "Well, well, what do we have here? A lovely young couple? Haha. Boy do I--"
Rumi: "Yeah! Whatever! Can I hit it already?!"
Male Worker: "Oh...Haha! Quiet eager. Haha! And here I thought the young man was going to go. But, I guess the little lady can--"
It was at that exact moment that the eager look on Rumi's face dropped. In its place, her eyes narrowed, and mouth sealed shut. Seconds before she turned to look at the once happy worker, who was now fearing for his life.
Rumi: "...What did you just call me?"
Male Worker: "U-Um...I was just--"
Rumi: "I'M NOT SOME 'LITTLE LADY'?!"
She screamed as she launched forward and grabbed the man by the crop of his shirt. Shocking (Y/n) and the few others behind him.
Male Worker: "L-Look, I'm sorry, I was just--"
Rumi: "Was just what?! WASTING MY TIME?! SPITTING AROUND FALSE FACTS!" [Leans in closer] "Tell me, 'tiny man', do I look like a 'little lady' to you 'tiny man?'. Do you know how much I bench? Tiny Man! Do you know how long I spent to make my body this ripped?! TINY MAN?! TINY MAN, I SPENT YEARS MAKING MYSELF THE BEST I CAN BE IN ALL POSSIBLE WAYS JUST NOT TO BE CALLED LITTLE LADY...TINY MAN?!!!!"
A few seconds of complete death from the worker later and finally the future rabbit hero let go and stepped back. Enough to give the man some breathing room. Without another word, he cautiously reached for the large hammer as (Y/n) looked over at the frightened people behind him and smiled.
(Y/n): "Sorry...She's kinda enthusiastic about this."
The people did not dare question anything. As for Rumi, she kept her arms crossed and eyes narrowed in on the male worker. Who slowly proceeded to offer the hammer to Rumi.
Male Worker: "H-Here you are, miss..."
Rumi turned her gaze to the hammer, all before suddenly screwing her head back toward the worker with a look matched only by the look of death itself.
Rumi: "What's this?!"
Male Worker: "T-The hammer y-you need to--"
Rumi: "Hammer? Are you saying I can't crush this game without a hammer because I'm weak? I'M NOT WEAK! I'M THE STRONGEST HERO EVER!!!"
It was with that thunderous cry that Rumi lifted her leg into the air. Out of nowhere, she brought it storming down to the ground, where it smashed into a soft pad below that caused a ball within the frame of the game to begin climbing passed countless scores with ease. All before coming narrowly close to reaching the final limit, 1000 points. Despite not reaching the limit, Rumi's was still the best of the day. With this victory, Rumi suddenly spun around and offered a cheerful smile to (Y/n), as if she didn't just almost kill a man.
Rumi: "Did you see that, (Y/n)? I'm strong! I'm the strongest!!"
It was clear to (Y/n) that Rumi was very proud of this achievement. But after everything he just saw, all he could do was slowly offer her a thumbs up. This seemed to be more than enough for Rumi, who giggled victoriously before pouncing forward and crushing (Y/n) in a hug. It didn't take long for both to realize the sudden action. Though with both carrying different reactions. For (Y/n), he was awestruck how a girl could go to full of anger to suddenly becoming a soft, giggling girl who wanted a hug to celebrate her victory. It was honestly adorable and reminded (Y/n) more of the side he loved to see from her.
As for Rumi, she couldn't believe that her first reaction after getting excited was hugging the boy she liked. It seemed so weak and submissive for her to do something like that. But as she looked down to see (Y/n)'s arms wrapped around her, holding her close, she couldn't help but enjoy the feeling. It was as both took in these reactions that Rumi slowly lifted her head, showcasing (Y/n) was already looking down at her. Their faces were so close, it wasn't long before Rumi's gaze dropped to his lips. When that happened, she couldn't help what happened next.
With not a single word, the pair slowly began to inch closer, as if forgetting where they even were. But even if they did, they didn't care. It was this rare fire inside of them that pushed them to slowly near each other. It seemed like a kiss was destined to happen. After all, why wouldn't it be? The more Rumi thought about it, the more excited she got. So much so the skip of her heart started getting longer and longer until finally it seemed they were about to kiss...Only for a sudden voice to interrupt them.
"May I have a go?"
And just like that Rumi and (Y/n) turned their heads in union to look to their left, where out of nowhere, Kiana stood. With her hand stretched out, she accepted the hammer from the male worker. Without even glancing at either (Y/n) or Rumi, the girl with purple hair did not waste a second as she pulled the hammer back over her head...Before letting it go. A thunderous bang cut through the air as it collided with the mat below. As it did, the small ball in the frame of the machine launched upward. Her eyes following it, soon followed by Rumi's and (Y/n)'s.
At first, no reaction came from Rumi. After all, she had already achieved the highest points for the day. So as Kiana's attempt flew passed the 200, 300, 400 mark, Rumi wasn't phased. However, as it kept climbing. 600...700...800... Rumi's eyes began to flick slightly as did one of her ears. It wasn't until the sound of a bell rung, indicating that Kiana's attempt had reached the 1000-point mark, did Rumi's inner brain exploded. Kiana had...had beat her. Rumi lost...In front of (Y/n). That was Rumi could think about as Kiana finally turned to face the pair.
Kiana: "Oh, (Y/n), I didn't see you there. How are you?"
The pair spoke for what felt like an eternity, whilst in reality, it was just a few minutes. All the while Rumi couldn't get over the fact she lost. Not because Kiana was talking to (Y/n). But because she lost...In front of him. Eventually, she did snap out of her daze, but the fragments of that nightmare were still present. It was from this point that somehow Kiana talked herself into following (Y/n) and Rumi around the carnival. Even if Rumi didn't want her too. But she didn't say anything, she didn't want to upset (Y/n) in anyway.
So Rumi silent walked by (Y/n)'s side, holding his arm as she narrowed her gaze toward Kiana. No matter what it was. Getting food? Rumi was glaring. Playing games? Rumi was glaring. Petting rabbits at the petting zoo? Rumi was glaring...and then glaring at the rabbit when (Y/n) picked it up and started petting it. It was only when (Y/n) placed the rabbit down seconds after being tugged away by Kiana that Rumi momentarily stopped chasing after the pair to turn her angered gaze back to the rabbit.
Rumi: "(Y/n) doesn't like you! You're not cute! You're ugly and stupid...HE ONLY LIKES ME!"
It was with that that Rumi once more chased after (Y/n). All in the hopes of claiming his attention...One More Time...
--1 Day Later: Kayama--
Just like with Rumi, (Y/n) found himself alongside Kayama in a very packed area. Also like with his time with Rumi, (Y/n) found his arms filled with various items. However, whereas an innocent smile rested on his face last time. This time around, a nervous smile mixed with a slight blush on his face was all that could be seen. Meanwhile, Kayama seemed to feel no such emotions as she continued to scan through the rows of products before her.
Then again, I guess it was normal for girls to be found in the lingerie/underwear department in stores. As for guys, well, they more so weren't exactly fond of it. You know, it's actually quite a natural for thing for every boy to feel. That as soon as they enter the underwear department at any store, it is immediately made their number one goal to get out of there as quick as possible. No one knew why, but boys just felt unnatural being in such an area for too long.
Whether it be the fear of people thinking they were weird, or whether they believed some twisted game was at play. These were just a few thoughts that plagued (Y/n)'s mind as he nervously looked around whilst slowly following after Kayama. His arms filled with countless 'outfits' for her to try on later. Just a simple glance down at the items in his hands caused his mouth to go dry and his face to scrunch slightly. It was what caused Kayama to unknowingly lick her lips whilst picking out the best outfits to make (Y/n)'s little boy brain go crazy.
(Y/n): "Uh...Kayama?"
Kayama: "Yes, (Y/n)?"
She stated with a bright smile as she spun around to face the boy. Kayama made sure to bring her face a slightly bit too close to (Y/n)'s own. So when the blush on his face brightened further, it was a beautiful sight to see. Fueled even more by the way he nervously swallowed and looked around as he tried not to make too much eye contact.
(Y/n): "You know...W-When Rumi said you needed help carrying your shopping because your arms were too weak."
Kayama: [Eye flickering] "S-She said that, did she?"
(Y/n): "Well...I was expecting the things you'd be buying would be a whole lot...Um...Heavier?"
And not unnatural for a boy to be holding. (Y/n) swore, as he waywardly happened to glance down at the very thin and very s-see through clothing, a mother walking by with her child glared him. But (Y/n) more so felt the pain of the child, knowing he was going through the exact same thing as he was now. Before (Y/n) could think more on this, his focus was suddenly directed back to Kayama. Who offered him a girlfriend smile as she brought her combined hands to her chest.
Kayama: "Well, I was originally going to get some stuff for school. But than I thought, seeing as you were coming. We might as well make it a full on shopping trip!"
(Y/n): "A-And you brought me into this section because..."
Kayama: "Well, duh! I wanna try these clothes on. Oh! Like this one!"
Reaching up high on her tippy toes Kayama proceeded to grab this silver and blue fabric top. It wasn't exactly counted as lingerie, but it was close enough. It was as (Y/n) watched Kayama do this that his eyes betrayed him and happened to be drawn to the first bit of sudden movement. And that came in the form of her chest bouncing from the impact of her feet returning to the ground.
There was only a few seconds in between Kayama turning back to him for (Y/n) to immediately advert his gaze elsewhere. By the time Kayama turned back to him, (Y/n) was practically stretching his face as far to the left as he possibly could. Only turning back ever so slightly when Kayama brought the top up to her chest.
Kayama: "Wouldn't this one look nice on me, (Y/n)?
(Y/n): "Uh...Um..."
It was like so many words were fighting to escape his mouth at once. But all (Y/n) could do was imagine Kayama in the top she currently had held up in front of her. Now, the right idea to think about her in such an outfit was only natural here. After all, she was asking his opinion. But (Y/n)'s brain was quick to betray him. Leading the normal scene into a different direction as he imagined Kayama in the outfit, in a room, with him, alone. It all led from one thing to the next. In the end, (Y/n) couldn't respond. But that's exactly what Kayama wanted.
Kayama: "Great! Well, come on, (Y/n), let's go."
(Y/n): "W-We're going? Really?"
He excitedly asked. Finally, he'd be free of this embarrassing torture.
Kayama: "Of course. I mean, what? Was I supposed to try on all these clothes here in public~"
It was those words that caused (Y/n) to gulp loudly. The next thing he knew, Kayama grabbed him by the arm and proceeded to drag him off in a random direction. It was as she did so, that Kayama grinned to herself. Her plan was going according to plan. Way better than Rumi's! Though, Kayama shouldn't really be surprised of that.
At least, that's what she told herself. You see, Kayama's plan was special. It was filled was flirting, heartfelt, and sincere all in one go. For whereas (Y/n) may not remember this store, Kayama certainly did. It was only months ago that in this very store, (Y/n) told Kayama a few words that changed her life instantly. And the impact it had on her from there on out.
"You look really nice."
Despite them only being simple words. They were more than enough for Kayama. For a girl who was quite popular, it wasn't surprising that a lot of boys remarked her beauty. Whether that be calling her 'hot', 'sexy' or anywhere in between. But at the end of the day, Kayama knew those words weren't sincere. But when (Y/n), a boy who was rather dense, told her how she looked nice. There was something about ti that showed he was being truthful. Maybe it was because he didn't bring up her boobs or ass that made her think that way.
But, instead, he just complimented her whole body. And the way he said it caused her to fall down quite the rabbit hole. Now, she was eagerly pulling him along to that exact same changing room where she planned to finally reveal her feelings to the boy. She couldn't help but get excited thinking about all the happy memories. As for (Y/n), he was growing even less nervous. Mainly due to being away from the very revealing part of the store. Little did he know of the moments that were just awaiting him a little further down the road.
******
A silent breath of relief came from (Y/n)'s lips as he fluidly relaxed into the white leather chair he currently found himself in. The nerves of being in such an unorthodox area was now long gone. All he had to do now was just sit here and let Kayama walk out every five or so minutes with an outfit on and tell her she looked great. Because, honestly, she looked great in everything.
So (Y/n) didn't even need to be here. But he enjoyed hanging out with Kayama. So he didn't mind. Now, sure, some of these outfits were definitely 'appealing' when placed on her body. And it sometimes made (Y/n) a little nervous seeing someone he had feelings for dress up in such a way. But it was nothing (Y/n) couldn't handle. As long as he was just sitting here, he'd be--
"Shit."
(Y/n): "Huh?"
The sudden sound that came from the behind the white curtains that Kayama was currently in was enough to perk (Y/n)'s attention. Immediately he grew worried. Sitting up in his chair, he was seconds away from asking if everything was alright before out of nowhere Kayama poked her head from between the curtains to offer him a nervous smile.
Kayama: "Uh, hey?"
(Y/n): "H-Hey? Is, um...Is everything okay?"
Kayama: "Uh, yeah, everything is, um...everything is fine."
The way in which she momentarily looked behind her back into the changing room before the pause gave (Y/n) some other ideas. Then when she nervously looked over toward the front desk to see if any of the workers were looking her way set off even more ideas. It was only when she turned back to (Y/n) with a nervous smile that she finally admitted the truth.
Kayama: "...Okay, maybe everything isn't fine. Um, I was getting ready to put on this dress and the, um...The zipper is stuck."
(Y/n): [Blushes] "O-Oh..."
Kayama: "Yeah. It won't go up all the way, and I'm worried if I try and budge it anymore I might break it. And--" [Giggles nervously] "I don't exactly have enough money for this dress if it breaks. So...Would..."
"Would you go get help?"
"Would you call a girl?"
"Would you find some oil for me to slip out of this dress?"
All outcomes (Y/n) thought Kayama would say to him. But when he finally heard the real ending, he was left silent and shocked.
"...Would you come in here with me and fix the dress, please?"
As soon as (Y/n) heard that, his body went stiff. K-Kayama wanted him to be in the same changing room as her. Now, sure, she was already wearing something...at least, that's what (Y/n) presumed she was like behind the curtains. But even so! It was still a little odd to think about being in the same room as a girl who was changing. So much so (Y/n) was more than hesitant to get up from his seat. That was, until, he spotted the pleading gaze in Kayama's eyes.
It was clear she was in a struggle, and she was asking for his help. (Y/n) loved his friends, and would always be there to help them. Even if it was a little embarrassing for him. Nevertheless, Kayama was someone he cared about. So, after taking a deep breath, he got to his feet and started walking toward the white curtain before him. When Kayama saw (Y/n) was coming to help, she quickly smiled and thanked the boy. All before pulling her head back in and turning around.
For reasons unknown the prospect of no longer seeing Kayama in front of him caused (Y/n)'s nerves to double rapidly. Nevertheless, there was nothing he could do now. Before he knew it, his hands had reached the curtain. Pulling them apart (Y/n) had already closed his eyes just in case Kayama wasn't ready. Even so, once he was in there and the curtains were shut, (Y/n) still had his eyes closed. Soon, the sound of silence was joined by Kayama's voice.
"Thanks for the help, (Y/n). Who knows how much trouble I would have been in if you didn't come to my rescue."
(Y/n): "Oh..." [Chuckles] "I'm sure you would have been fine. T-This was only a mistake, after all."
"But still...You're kinda like my own personal hero~"
It was those final words that caused (Y/n)'s eyes to snap open. As they did, he was greeted by the sight before him. The sight of Kayama's back facing him, a good amount of skin on display due to the stuck zipper. But despite the problem being right in front of him, (Y/n) was forced to stand there momentarily and admit the sight before him. It appeared Kayama had chosen to wear a silver dress that sparkled, even with the little amount of light in the room. The fabrics easily glued to her skin. Her curvy hips enough to support all that the dress had to offer. (Y/n) could only imagine what the front looked like.
"It's just the zipper. At the back. Do you see it?"
(Y/n): "Huh? Oh! Y-Yeah, I see it."
(Y/n) was forced to shake the thoughts from his mind abruptly, and refocused his faze on the situation at hand. Slowly he stepped forward, careful not to take a big enough step that he'd outright push his body against Kayama's own. Eventually, he reached her. Her body only a few inches away from his own as his fingers tendered to the stuck zipper.
Thankfully, it didn't take much more than a proper tug from behind to fix it up and cause the zipper to travel the rest of the way. The sound of it running against the metal tracks brought a smile to his lips. Though, mainly because he got to see how the finished product looked on Kayama's body.
(Y/n) was given even more to look at when Kayama abruptly turned around to face him. The smaller girl wasted no time to look up at him with a bountiful smile. That, mixed in with the way this dress only made her front look even better caused (Y/n)'s mouth to once again go dry. If it wasn't for the darkly lit room, Kayama would have definitely had seen the blush on his face.
Kayama: "Thanks for helping, (Y/n). You're a lifesaver."
(Y/n): "O-Oh, that's fine...Y-You, um...You don't need to thank me."
Kayama: "Well, I feel I do. I mean, coming to my rescue like this." [Grins] "I guess you are my hero after all."
Again, as soon as Kayama said that, (Y/n)'s heart picked up. It also wasn't helped that Kayama's face was extremely close to his own. It caused his vision to grow slightly blurry as his eyes got stuck in her own. But whilst (Y/n)'s mind was going crazy, Kayama's mind was lighting up with excitement. She finally had the moment she was looking for. This was perfect!
Kayama: [Grins] "So, what do you think of my outfit? Do you like it?"
(Y/n): "H-Huh? Oh, uh...I-I can't really see it. It...It's really dark in here."
Something (Y/n) hadn't fully noticed before now. Now, it wasn't like the pair couldn't see each other. They could. But it was only thanks to the brief pieces of light that snuck through the gaps of the curtain to their side. Either way, there was enough light for (Y/n) to see what Kayama did next.
Kayama: "Well, than. Maybe I should get a little closer~"
Before (Y/n) could even fully process the words she had said, Kayama had already started her journey into getting closer to (Y/n). With tender hands she placed them on his chest, all the while his hung waywardly by his side. Before long Kayama's hands began to slowly travel up (Y/n)'s body and flopped around his neck. The next thing he knew, her chest was pressing up right against his body.
Everything was going so fast. It came out of nowhere. What was going to happen next? Should he push forward with it? He liked Kayama, but he also liked Rumi. He didn't want to do one thing and hurt the other without thinking it over. However, it seemed fate had other ideas. For it was just as Kayama's lips seemed to reach (Y/n)'s own that the curtains tot he change room suddenly snapped open.
FLAP!
Within a second the pair broke apart, their heads twisting in shock and horror. Something that only grew when they saw who was standing there. It was Kiana, who, for some reason, despite not being in a change room, had already disrobed. Now she wore a matching pair of purple underwear. One's that weren't exactly see through, but...Definitely did not leave much to the mind of anyone who happened to be looking. Of course, in classic Kiana fashion. She was not phased when seeing (Y/n) and Kayama.
Kiana: "Oh...Hello, (Y/n). I didn't know you were in here."
(Y/n): "Kiana?! What are you--" [Realizes] "P-Put some clothes on!"
Kiana: "Why? You've already seen me naked."
(Y/n): "I'M TALKING ABOUT THE FACT YOU'RE IN PUBLIC!"
It was as (Y/n) screamed that, that a simple look over her shoulder was all it took for Kiana to see a bunch of worried workers. Of course, Kiana wasn't phased one bit. Before she knew it, (Y/n) raced out of the changing room to over up the body of his childhood friend with a nearby robe. This caused Kayama to be left alone in the changing room. An angry and agitated look continuing to grow on her face as she glared at Kiana. Her perfect moment was ruined by Kiana. It made her annoyed and pissed.
All she wanted was to have a good time with (Y/n), but it was ruined. But Kayama wasn't just going to stand there. She was quick to close the curtain, change back to normal clothes, and take (Y/n) as far away from Kiana as possible. All in the hopes of showing (Y/n) how she felt. And so she did that...One More Time... And she wasn't alone. It seemed as the days continued to go by, both Rumi and Kayama kept trying to get (Y/n)'s attention. One More Time. The phrase had become something of a mantra for them.
Every time Kiana would appear to ruin the moment. One More Time. They'd try one more time to show (Y/n) how they felt. And they tried in so many ways. Whether it be at the schools swimming pool. Where they'd show (Y/n) themselves in swimsuits, ruined by Kiana who decided to go skinning dipping when no one else was around! They'd go to the movies together, of course, Kiana was there, and just so happened did something that caused (Y/n) to race off and help.
Now, it wasn't like the girls were mad that (Y/n) did that. Kiana was still his childhood friend. But the fact that this girl kept getting in their way, it made them start getting sick and tired of saying One More Time. And that very sickness of saying the words could be seen on their faces right now, the pair seated in the cafeteria together, at a table alone, lazily munching on their food as they reflected on the past few days.
Kayama: [Sighs] "I'm sick of doing this one more time. Argh! Why can't we just tell (Y/n) how we feel."
Rumi: "Because we know Lady Nagant would not allow us to get enough time to do so."
Kayama: "Boy do I wish she would just leave the school already."
Rumi: "I agree. Ever since she has been here I was lost my credit as the toughest girl. Now people are even saying 'Hi' to me. It's disgusting."
"Hi, Rumi!"
A nerdy boy said as he walked passed. Without hesitation Rumi spun toward him with a raised fist.
Rumi: "KEEP WALKING NERD BEFORE I PUNCH YOUR THROAT!"
The nerd quickly sped up in fear, but it left Rumi annoyed.
Rumi: "See? I'm practically the most popular person in school now."
Whilst that was something Kayama would argue with, even she had to admit, things felt different since all this happened. Before a few months ago, she hardly had any problems with boys. She didn't necessarily like any, but she didn't have any problems that kept her up at night. Yet, here she was, having trouble over a boy she couldn't quite stop thinking about no matter how hard she tried.
Kayama: [Sighs] "What are we going to do? It feels like everything we do, Kiana continues to get in the way."
Rumi: "You are right. The magnificent Lady Nagant is not only beautiful but quite the fierce opponent...Dammit, I hate that I love her so much."
Kayama could only offer her friend a raised eyebrow. Wait...Friend? Did she really think of Rumi as a friend? You know what? Probably. I mean, sure. Rumi was still weird. But she and Kayama had been through a lot, to the point they were somewhat friends. Though the pair would never admit it. It was as this thought coursed through her mind that Kayama smiled. Something Rumi soon noticed when she glanced at the girl.
Rumi: "...Do not smile like that, it makes you look weird."
Kayama: "Huh? Oh..." [Chuckles] "I'm just thinking that before this we didn't even know each other--"
Rumi: "Yes. How better those times were. I agree."
Kayama: "No! I'm...I'm talking about how things can change so quickly, you know? I mean, sure, we don't exactly like everything about each other. But still...As weird as it may sound, I don't see myself having done all this with anyone else."
That statement was enough to catch Rumi off guard. The urge to bark back at Kayama was sudden. But Rumi held it back. Instead, she simply looked away before speaking.
Rumi: "I...Suppose that there could have been far more annoying people to be partnered up with in this war. So, I guess it isn't so bad that you and I were to do this."
Kayama: "Wait. Was that...A compliment?"
Rumi: "What? No...Shut up!"
Kayama: [Chuckles] "It was! Aw~ You really are sweet!"
Kayama went to place her hands on Rumi's shoulders, but a sharp glare from the future rabbit hero was enough to silence her. But Kayama didn't fight against it. She simply shook her head and smiled down at herself as she returned to eating her food. As she did so, however, she couldn't help but think about (Y/n). She just wished he would come up to her and tell her how she felt. It would only be that easy. It was as she thought this, however, that an unknown hand belonging to a male slowly reached for her from behind. Elsewhere in the cafeteria, (Y/n) and his friends could be seen holding trays of food as they searched for a table to sit at. The voices of the others filled the air as the latest topic entered the air.
Toshinori: "I can't believe it! My best friend is getting married! Oh, I'm so happy, I could cry!"
Enji: "Shut up! And we're not friends!"
The forehead screamed at Toshinori, who just laughed. All before Enji pulled his head away and sighed.
Enji: "And I'm not getting married. I'm just talking to my parents about an arranged marriage for later in my life."
Hizashi: "Enji! Come on! Why don't you just come out partying with me and Aizawa? You'll totally get a normal girl that way! And, it's tons of fun!"
Aizawa: [Sighs] "It really isn't."
Toshinori: "Oh, yes! Come out dancing with us, Enji! Oh! You and me can make some fun dance moves together! It'll be so fun!"
Enji: "I'd rather die in the snow than dance with you, Toshinori."
Toshinori: "Oh...HAHA! You're so funny. best friend! Isn't he funny, (Y/n)...(Y/n)?"
It didn't take long for the four boys to turn their combined gazes toward the front of the group where (Y/n) could be seen with his head hanging low. It was clear he was stuck in thought, something that perplexed the others.
Enji: "What's the matter with him?"
Toshinori: "(Y/n) is in love, but he's too afraid to tell them."
Enji: "Them?"
Hizashi: "Kayama and Rumi."
Enji: "Really? He's liked them? Since when?"
That notion immediately caused the boys to turn to him in confusion.
Hizashi: "Seriously? We've, like, been there five times when its all happened. It's obvious how they all feel."
Aizawa: [Sighs] "Clearly (Y/n) is struggling with what to do."
Toshinori: "Oh! I just want to give him a hug. But because he is clearly upset, I shall hug you, best friend, instead!"
Immediately Toshinori goes to hug Enji, however, before he could, he was instantly stopped with a single finger pressed to his forehead.
Enji: "Touch me, and I'll turn you into a burnt chicken."
Toshinori: "Oh, I love chicken! Haha! You really are my best friend!"
Nothing but mumbled groans escaped from the redhead's mouth, meanwhile, up ahead, (Y/n) was trapped by his thoughts. So much had happened in a few days that he didn't know what to do. He cared about both Rumi and Kayama. But it seemed that every time they were together, something or someone would happen that made him question everything. Was it a sign from a higher being that he shouldn't go through with this?
But he felt so connected to the girls that he wanted nothing more than to be around them both. Than there was the fact that there wasn't just one girl he was into...He liked them both. That only added more complicated to the matter. However, sometimes all it takes was one moment in a random day for everything to become clear. And for (Y/n) (L/n) and the struggles of his life, that moment came right now, as a familiar voice sounded into the air.
"Argh! Let...Go of me!"
It didn't take more than a few seconds for (Y/n) to register the voice as belonging to Kayama's, and the distress that brought with it. Immediately (Y/n) looked around the cafeteria for where the scream came from. It was only when he spotted a large group of people looking off toward the left that he finally saw the origin of the scream. There, Kayama stood, a look of fear and anger on her face as a tall, muscular guy with blonde hair held her arm tightly. Not letting her move whatsoever.
Kayama: "I said...Let go!"
"And I told you, Kayama, go out with me! Come on!"
Kayama: "Imasuji, stop! I'm not interested in you!"
Imasuji: "You're not? Then who are you into? Because it's not anyone else! You said you loved me!"
Kayama: "That was when I was drunk at a party. I didn't have a single clue who you were back than. But now I know you're nothing but a monster!"
Yes, it appeared a shadow from Kayama's past had come back to haunt her. You see, Imasuji, or as he would be known in the future as the villain 'Muscular' was a student a student at U.A.. He was known for being one of those tough guys that thought he was better than everyone else. Of course, a knucklehead like that soon found his gaze focused toward the prettiest girl in school.
So he would often flirt with Kayama, something she was playfully tease off as she had done a lot before meeting (Y/n) and becoming more humbled. But it seems the mistakes of her past by not correcting Imasuji earlier on had now come back to haunt her. The agitated look on his face growing stronger as he pulled Kayama roughly.
Imasuji: "Listen, bitch, I heard you were going around with some guy all the time. And you know what? No! I won't let you! You're mine!"
Kayama: "Ima--Stop...Arggh...You're hurting me!"
Imasuji: [Grins] "Good~"
The tight embrace Imasuji's muscular arms gave Kayama's smoother ones were definitely enough to hurt her skin and cause her arm to bruise up. It was as this happened that the voice of Rumi suddenly exploded to the side.
Rumi: "Oi! Dick licker! She said stop!"
Imasuji: "Huh? Oh...If it isn't the little fuck bunny! Sorry girl, but I'm not really into animals. Haha!"
Rumi: "WHAT'D YOU JUST SAY LITTLE MAN?!"
Without hesitation Rumi launches into the air and pulls her foot back, ready for an attack. But to her surprise, and everyone else watching, Imasuji was ready. Pulling his free arm back a wave of muscles and tendons suddenly formed from his arm to wrap around it like a set of arm. It caused his arm to grow three sizes bigger, all before sending it crashing forward causing it to smash into Rumi's stomach and sending her flying backward through the air. A shocked gasp and horrified looks immediately came from everywhere as they watched Rumi's body fly faster than anyone had seen happen before. It appeared Rumi was seconds away from smashing into a pile of tables, a painful experience awaited her.
Kayama: "Rumi! Are yo--"
Imasuji: "Quiet, bitch! You only talk when I tell you too!"
That remark was enough for Kayama who immediately went to punch Imasuji's face. But the attack did nothing. Before she could even touch him, Imasuji had caught her arm. Now with both held by tight grips, Kayama was forced to wince in pain as Imasuji pressed his large body against her smaller one, his face inches from her own as his wicked grin ran across his lips.
Imasuji: "You know, Kayama, if you don't want to keep quiet yourself. I can always put that pretty mouth of yours to another use~ Haha~"
Immediately spread spread through her body. Desperately, Kayam tried to activate her quirk. But Imasuji was already prepared. Before Kayama could do anything she was cut off by Imasuji sending his powerful head forward and smashing it into Kayama's own. Such an attack caused the girl to become unconscious, much to the pleasure of the towering bully.
Imasuji: "Don't worry, beautiful. When this is all over. You'll love me more than anyone el--"
"HEY!"
Imasuji: "Huh?"
With a raised eyebrow, Imasuji proceeded to send his gaze toward the direction of the voice. It was in that direction that Rumi could be seen frozen in the air. Though, she was frozen, as was soon revealed by her body slowly being dropped to the roof of a table. It was on that table that the person who caught her could be seen. A wave of steam rising from his body. As a deranged look spawned on (Y/n)'s face. One that only grew more when his gaze landed on the face of the unconscious Kayama.
Imasuji: "And who are you supposed to be?"
Imasuji merely chuckled as he glanced at the smaller boy. But (Y/n) didn't care. He was full of rage, full of energy. The look in his eyes was something Rumi had never seen before, nor anyone else. The fact he didn't smile was also something noticeable. The rabbit hero was left in awe as nothing but a serious expression rested on (Y/n)'s face. So many thoughts ran through this mind as he watched the lifeless face of Kayama being held in the arms of Imasuji. It was that one thing that pissed (Y/n) off the most. So much so, with a look unlike any other, he buried his head low before lifting it seconds later.
(Y/n): "...I'm the guy that's about to break every single bone and muscle in your body. So look out..."
"...Because this is war."
