"Ginny is everything a chicken nugget?" You ask your best friend who was quietly studying in the library while you were to distracted by everything due to your ADHD.

"No, please be quiet in trying to study for a potions exam," She says.

"Hmph... fine," You say. You try focusing on your homework but thoughts kept crawling around in your mind. You stood up abruptly and walked out of the library in a huff.

~Time Skip~
*First Person/Y/N pov*

"I hope Harry is okay..." Ginny says as we watch Victor Crumb emerge from the water with Hermione.

"You totally like hiiiiim!" I tease.

"Isn't it obvious?" She giggles.

"It's like how obvious you like my brother Ron," she adds. I look at her wide eyed. I had zero interest in Ron instead I had a hundred interest in the Slytherin Prince, Draco Malfoy. I know a Hufflepuff (sry if you're not but if you are heyyyyyyy) falling in love with a Slytherin.

"I don't like your brother!" I exclaim

"Sure you do.... sure you do," she says suspicious of me.

The Yule ball was coming up and I was secretly hoping Draco will ask me.... but he's mostly likely to ask Pansy "Pug Face" Parkinson or Daphne Greengrass. He'd never ask a weirdo half-blood Hufflepuff to the dance. I say weirdo because I do and say random and odd things. Like call myself or everything a chicken nugget or the fact I do weird hand gestures when I talk... or make weird noises or talk weirdly. I get made fun of because of this... but he's actually never been one to do so. Ginny and Luna don't really understand why he doesn't make fun of me... because everyone else does except for them and Draco. In fact my weirdness made them want to be my friends.

Soon Harry finally emerged with Ron and a little girl. Fleur Delecour ran up to them and hugged the little girl and then kissed the boys on the cheeks as if it was a thank you.

"Oh thank goodness he's alright!" Ginny cheers.

"Ginny, I believe Y/N likes a guy from another house... someone who's not Ron," Luna says continuing the conversation that ended a couple minutes ago.

"I-I'm a chicken nugget mermaid!" I yell to distract Luna from exposing me. Luna doesn't know I like Draco but she has her suspicions, I don't really care what Luna thinks... but I do care about what Ginny thinks because Draco bullies Harry and we all know she's in love with him.

"You've said that like a million times," Ginny says laughing a little.

"Hey Princess Weirdo of the Hufflepuff Kingdom!" Pansy yells coming over.

"What do you want?" I ask, Princess Weirdo of the Hufflepuff kingdom is the nickname everyone calls me.. they usually just use the Princess Weirdo part though.

"Stay away from my Draco! He's mine okay?!" She yells. My eyes widen in bewilderment. What does she mean? Does she somehow know I like him?

"Well, for starters he isn't yours you don't own him and second what the heck are you talking about?" I stated.

She was about to speak when Draco called her over to him. Oh no... he's probably going to ask her to the dance. Your face falls and you frown at the thought.

"Let's go back to the castle," I say to my friends and we start heading back.

"What did pug face want? What did she mean?" Ginny asked.

"I don't know," I say.

"Maybe it's because Y/N-" Luna starts but I shoot her a glare and she just mutters a never mind.

~Time Skip~
*still Y/N POV*

I was walking around the courtyard minding my own business when I heard

"Oi, PRINCESS!"

I turn around to be faced by Draco. My stomach fills with butterflies and my cheeks go warmer.

"Y-yes?" I ask.

"Will you... will you go to the Yule Ball with me?" He asked. My cheeks get somehow even warmer and my butterflies fly faster. My heart beat quickens and I start to feel sweaty.

"H-how do I know you're just prancing me? No one wants to date 'Princess Weirdo of The Hufflepuff Kingdom' I'm to weird!" I exclaim.

"I think you're weirdness is adorable... I promise this is not a joke," he says smiling a genuine smile. He smiled.... he actually smiled?

"Y-yes.., I'll go with you...." I say. He picked me up and spins me around yelling lots of yeses. He put me down and embraced me tightly.

"I love you," he says.

"I love you too," I say.

Still in his embrace we met our lips lock in a needy and passionate kiss.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Ginny yells.

I get out of Draco's embrace and look over at my best friend.

"Why did I just see you snogging my best friend?!" Ginny yells at Draco.

"And why would you snog the enemy?!" She adds yelling at me.

"It's simple Gin, I fell in love... I know he has hurt Harry and you but he's one of the only people who doesn't make fun of me... please, let me love someone... let me love someone who loves me for me," I say almost in tears.

"Oh Y/N I know how much finding love that loves you for you was one of your dreams and I can't take that away from my best friend... I'm so sorry," Ginny apologizes.

"It's okay Gin," I accept and hug her. She looks up at Draco whilst still in my embrace.

"Hurt her and I'll hex you," she warns.

"Don't plan on doing that," He says.
