Prologue/The Bookstore.

Prince Thor and Loki of Asgard.
They may be brothers but they sure are nothing alike.

Prince Thor wanted to go out and explore the world since he was very young, yet Prince Loki has a drive being future king of Asgard.

Once Thor was crowned king Loki went on a rampage. Odin and Frigga parents of the royal brothers hated seeing Loki so upset and Thor not a good king (I'm making Odin not a jerk deal with it lol) they realized they're mistake. But knowing Loki's anger decided that in order for him to be king he must learn how to love.

However....

Odins way of teaching Loki love was.... ridiculous.

Odin turned Loki into a frost giant. He locked Loki up in the castle and fled with the rest of his family leaving Loki and the royal staff.
(Oh who am I kidding? I'm making Odin an arsehole).

The only way to break the spell was if a woman... or man.... or someone else (who knows) was to wander into the castle and make Loki fall in love with them.

(Ik this is kinda a weird backstory but bare with me).

~5 years later - Y/N's POV~

"Mother?!" I called. No answer.

"MOTHER?!" Again no answer.

"IM GOING INTO TOWN!" I yell.

No answer once again so I just assumed she had heard me.

I walked into town books in hand. I could hear people whisper things about me. It was like they hadn't seen a woman read.

"Hello Mr. Barnes, how are the horses?" I ask the long haired farmer as I waked by him.

"Peggy gave birth yesterday thank you for asking!" He exclaimed smiling while walking away.

I finally reach my destination. The book store. The most magical place on Asgard (guess they have book shops while us Midgardians have Disney World/Land.... hahaha.. ha... ha).

"Ms. Maximoff, how are you?" I ask the owner.

"I've been better, sales haven't been the same since the royal family disappeared, it's like they don't need to read now that we don't have a ruler," she exclaims. I chuckle.

"Well you have me!" I reassure she gives a hearty laugh.

"Ah there she is! The most beautiful girl in town!"

"Oh, what a pleasure, it's tony!" I sarcastically exclaim.

"I can pleasure you in other ways," he flirts giving me a wink. I gag and roll my eyes.

"Ever hear of 'take a hint?' Because I'm not interested!" I say.

"Oh please, you're just playing hard to get!" He continues to flirt.

"Ew like I'd ever love a pig like you, go back to the farm where you belong!" I say giving him a smirk this time. Before he could answer I walked out of the bookstore forgetting why I was there in the first place.

"Y/N wait!-" he yells after making me sprint back to my home.

I slam the door shut and run to my room. For Odin's sake, why did tony have to be such an arse!" I exclaim aloud while sitting at my bay window looking at the view of the castle. If only I was a princess living there. I wouldn't have to worry about tony and judgmental people.

"Darling, where have you been?" My mother asked opening my door.

"Mother, I told you I was going to town,"

"Sorry darling, I must've not heard you" she apologizes. No duh.

"That's okay motther, I'm here now so that's all that matters," I give her a weak smile that shows everything.

"Did tony try to seduce you again?" She asked sitting down next to me.

"Yeah, I wish I could be in the castle far away from him and gender norms," I confess.

"Oh honey, I've told you a million times to not give him a single day," She advises.

"I know... he's just such an arsehole!" I whisper yell.

"How about you go on a walk? Maybe a ride if Mr. Barnes lends you a horse? To clear your mind." She suggests.

"That's a good idea! Thank you mom!"
