❝𝑳𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑩𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒐𝒗, 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆.❞ Daphne grumbled at the Promised Guardian that was standing between the Nurse and the curtain that prevented her from leaving the cubicle she was in in the Infirmary.

"You should've come to the Nurse straight after training." Dimitri countered her words, a strong, demanding tone covering his words, making Nurse Kaida share a small smirk with the Novice.

Truth be told, had it been any other Novice, Dimitri wouldn't be checking if they had indeed gone to the Nurse and gotten checked out, but he knew himself and he knew that he would ignore his injuries until he could no longer stand and had to be dragged in. And he knew, from the same spark in Daphne's eyes that she was just like him.

Moroi come first, above love, above family, above ambition, above health. Dhampir are meant to live by those words, he lived by those words and he knew that the Seong Family definately did as well.

"I was going to." Daphne scoffed, hissing slightly in pain when the Nurse applied pressure on her shoulder to secure the sling.

Daphne's dark, nearly black eyes, caught the sight of Dimitri raising his brow questioningly, challenging her silently for an answer. One that she didn't really want to provide, but she would have to none the less. "I swear to Vlad that I was, after the last training of the day before I went to bed." Daphne insisted, flashing Dimitri her dangerous pearly smile.

"Well, you should thank Guardian Belikov. Whatever you did to injure yourself was really something, you could've broken your clavicle and shoulder if you trained anymore with this arm tonight." Kaida remarked, flashing a thankful smile at the new Guardian before turning to Daphne with an angry look.

"I know you hate the Infirmary, but you cannot push your body to the limits." Kaida started berating her in an angry tone. "You will end up with a lot more than a broken clavicle if you aren't careful when you train, and I would very much like to see you alive until you reach the age of 25."

The Novice leaned back on the bed that she'd been forced to lay in and stared at the ceiling without saying a word, annoying the Nurse tremendously.

"It's my fault, her injury I mean." Dimitry started to explain, like he'd explained to Alberta before he pulled Daphne out of training cursing and punching, "We were training and while attacking I attacked her right side and caused her to fall, she did and fell on her right side off the mattress."

He was feeling guilty.

Undeniably so as it had only been their first training session and she got hurt.

Kaida slowly turned her head to the Guardian, watching him closely, watching his reaction. She returned her attention to the annoyed Novice on the bed, wearing black trousers instead of the long skirt that had been provided for the female student body.

"It's not your fault Guardian Belikov. Daphne here, no doubt baited you during the training session, making you attack harsher than before and more concentrated and brutally." Kaida acknowledged, hitting the Novice's leg with a small amount of strength to make her curse in Korean.

"She's done that before, she does that quite frequently. Although her oponents are usually the ones who end up here, wounded, wearing slings or limping for days and with bruises. She doesn't want soft trainings, she wants the brutalilty of the Strigoi."

Dimitri frowned at hearing Kaida's words, he could tell that Daphne was not a gentle fighter, her personality and attittude told him so, but her fighting skills, now that he thought back on them, did show slight knowledge of the real world. They showed the thirst for brutal and deadly, uncoordenated violence that the Strigoi were known for.

"If we are all done here." Daphne interrupted, sitting back up and slinging her body to the side in which Kaida wasn't on. "I have classes to attend and things to learn so that I can protect my Moroi."

The ever present mention of Christian in her life, something that Dimitri could relate to, had once related to even more.

𝑯𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒊.

"Daphne, I do reccomend you take it easy, you bruised your clavicle, deslocated your shoulder. Literally popped it out of place, had Guardian Belikov pop it into place and didn't secure against your body to prevent anymore damage." Kaida warned, her soft and soothing Nurse voice disappering and a concerned and demanding tone taking over.

Kaida was many things, pacient, kind and motherly, but she was also someone who didn't take kindly to people she knew, she cared for, not taking care of themselves.

"I'm fine, you forget, I'm ambitexterous. I'll train with my left arm, strentghen it considering I haven't used it a lot recently and allow my right arm to rest." Daphne soothed, flashing the 27 year old Nurse her dazzling smile that convinced almost anyone.

The two adult could only watch as Daphne picked up her back and swung it over her left shoulder carelessly.

"Relax, I know both Infirmary's codes and numbers by heart if I need anything." The careless Novice told the Nurse before walking to her side and leaning to the side of her head and planting a kiss on it. "Tell the kids I send kisses and love."

Before Kaida could say anything else, Daphne was already out the curtain and down the corridor as if there was a Strigoi on her ass faster than anyone could say Academy.

Dimitri stood where he'd been, looking at the feeling girl with slightly confused eyes.

He understood many things about Daphne, mainly because they applied just as equally to him, but he didn't have a problem in being in an Infirmary like the Seong Novice appeared to have.

"Thank you for bringing her in, I don't think that I would've seen her or heard of her being hurt unless Christian appeared with her feverish and almost passed out cold in his arms." Kaida told Dimitri with an honest thankful look on her face, standing up slowly from her rolling seat.

"Is she always like this?" Dimitri dared ask the Nurse, even though he already knew the answer.

"Ignorant to her health and injuries?" Kaida assumed, gently collecting everything that she'd used to diregard them in the bin. "Always, all Seong's are, annoyingly and painfully so. But adamant about not setting foot in the Infirmary, just since Sonya Karp willingly turned into a Strigoi about a month or two after the Princess and Hathaway escaped."

Kaida sighed, taking off her gloves and chucking them in the bin as well.

"She was here that day with Sonya, she was in the room when Sonya attacked one of the Doctor's doing tests on her. I believe that in a way, Daphne blames herself for not having been able to help Sonya nor put her down once she was a Strigoi." Kaida's words were soft and kind, almost sentimental, almost telling Dimitri that she'd been there that day as well.

"You seem close with her." Dimitri claimed, his tone slightly awkward as he noted that Kaida had ghost tears in her eyes.

His attempt to distract the woman functioned, because a strangled laugh escaped her lips, she nodded and her dyed dark ginger hair moved in front of her face slightly, away from the bun.

"I'm an Ozera by birth, married a non-Royal Moroi, but the Seong's still protect me and my family." Kaida explained, allowing a still sorrowful smile to settle on her lips. "I had twins three years ago, Senja and Idalia, and her Cousin, Eun-Ji, had another boy, essencially giving my girls a Guardian of their own. Ho-Seok, the eldest by 11 months, and Seok-Jin, same age as my girls."

Dimitri nodded slowly, he knew that the Seong were a Noble Dhampir Family, and that they were consistent with giving birth to children around the same time as the Moroi they protected so that they would be the same age, but it still shocked him as no other Dhampir Family was that dedicated.

"Are they here in the Academy?" Dimitri questioned, slightly curious to see if the young Seong's resembled Daphne in personality.

"Not yet, they live at Court with my wife. But as soon as they are of age to start school officially, they will come here." Kaida replied, now more calm as talking about her family always soothed her.

Dimitri nodded at Kaida with a small smile before nodding at her and turning to leave the Infirmary.
