Falkner was outside of Violet city doing some training with his skarmory, pigeotto and noctowl when something came up to mind.

"How come Janine didn't
want to battle with me at the gym leader tournament? " Yep it was that girl at that battle he fought with at the fight ever since that day he never got a chance to win the full battle after  Janine had left her position in battle he didn't care about the win his thought has developed with her in mind.                                 
In fact he wanted to know about her then he mumbled. "I wish I    had a chance to talk to her." "She never had a chance to win in fact she was filled with the thought of her father." Then his pokemon began smirking at his words. "W-wait it's not like I have a thing for her it's just that I am concerned about her!"                      
With that he continued his training with her in mind                 "Do I really have feelings for her or do I love her?"                                Falkner thought about it and trained more.
