Chapter 14

Fireworks lit up the night sky while the Pop trolls' cheers and merriment filled the air. The glowbugs that came in many different colours flew around the DJ,a grown up CJ Suki, as she dropped the beat. The dance floor was lively with trolls dancing their hearts were content. There was karaoke,a couple alcoholic drinks, Pippy's top ten must have party foods, Harmony's favourite party games and more. The whole village was invited too!

The party celebrating Harmony's future was being hosted by none other than Aiden and Pippy. The two trolls were like a team when it came to parties. Their mother had helped them with the planning this time but, she had also willingly gave them the power to make the final decisions, therefore putting them in the position of co-hosts. The two younger Royals may had added couple things their mother would never use at a party but, she didn't need to know. It's not like a couple extra special drinks or a drinking game would hurt anyone.

Pippy walked through the crowd checking up on some of her guests. She passed a two trolls flirtting as an random troll spun out of control in front of her. The spinning troll crashed into a tree overgrown root causing the host to stop in her tracks and cringe. Seeing it happen made the princess feel like it had happened to her, despite the fact it wasn't reality. Pippy quickly stepped closer to the tree crasher and helped pull them back on their feet.

" Are you okay?" Pip asked concerned.

" That was... Awesome!"

Aiden walked over to one of the tables on the sidelines of the dance area. He had two drinks with him, one white cup of regular punch in each hand. Harmony was sitting at one table watching over her friends' drinks, Minnie and Jackson. Jinx had left to grab them a snack leaving the special guest all by herself.

" Want one?" Aiden offered.

" Is it punch or spicy juice?" Harmony asked unsure.

" Punch. "

The host sat down at the table and slid the cup across it. Harmony caught the drink before it could reach the edge of table. She smelled tne drink first before actually taking a sip. It was indeed regular punch.

" Thanks. "

" No problem. Where's everyone else?" Aiden asked curious.

" Oh. Minnie went to help Ronnie and Donnie get their hair untangled, Jackson didn't say and Jinx went for a snack. " Harmony explained.

" I might had set Jackson up with Lyric earlier so... He won't be for a while... " Aiden admitted.

" As long as he is safe and is having fun? Fine by me. " Harmony said supportively.

That was the most chill mother of the group thing Aiden ever heard Harmony say. Of course even at parties celebrating her, she would choose to care for somebody else in some way. From future Queen to Drink babysitter. Aiden took a sip of his punch while his sister looked around for Jinx. She hoped that he was okay and especially that he didn't have another accident. An hour ago, he tripped over another troll when he was trying bring drinka for the whole table. In all fairness to Jinx, he didn't know somebody was sitting on the grass to begin with.

" So you and Jinx? Are you two together now or still friends after your date?"

" What? It wasn't an actual date date. We were just hanging out. " Harmony corrected.

" Why were you two almost kissing during the last dance?" Aiden asked confused.

" Somebody bumped into us, Aiden. If I didn't catch him he would had hit the ground. " Harmony explained honestly and calmly.

" If you say so..." Aiden said accepting her answer.

Then Jinx returned still in one piece with a basket of chips. He seemed proud of himself as he walked with it over not having any accidents during the short trip. The male didn't even notice his crush's brother being only one with her. Until he reached their table and opened his eyes again to find Aiden in his seat.

" Aiden?" Jinx said surprised.

" Sup. " Aiden greeted chill.

" Wait! If your here then who's preparing the fireworks with Pip?" Jinx asked confused.

The younger troll looked up at Jinx like he had said total nonsense. Was he making this up? Why would Pippy be setting up fireworks when it was her turn to tend to guests? Jinx has to be messing with him. Aiden might had been a little stupid enough to mess with fireworks sometimes but, Pippy? He was the wild sparkler runner while she was gentle sparkler waver.

" What are you talking -"

The biggiest firework display of the night exploded up in the sky creating the loudest bang Aiden had ever heard! Aiden and Harmony's eyes widen and their hearts dropped as they heard a faint scream from distance. It was a scream with female vocal tones! Both siblings shot up worried but, one of them wasn't willing to let the other be involved.

" Oh Shit! No! Harmony, you stay here! I'll handle this! " Aiden ran abandoning his drink. " YOU BETTER NOT BE FUCKING DEAD,PIPPY!"

Meanwhile Pippy wasn't actually with fireworks display setup. She was with Rosie hiding from her crush or should she say her three current crushes? And her crushes were talking to each other too! The green skined troll breathed into a paper bag like she was having an panic attack. Rosie forced Melody to sit down on a small mushroom while doing her best to give her friend a pep talk.

" You can do this,Melody. Any one of those guys would be lucky to have you as their girlfriend! Your a total catch! If you were into girls and we weren't friends I would totally date you -... That last part sounds like I'm implying that your more attractive when they don't know you to you. "

Melody nodded her head confirmingly still breathing in and out of her paper bag. Rosie sighed heavily hanging her head low. She ran an hand through her hair trying to come up with a different tactic. If she sang a song Daniel, Dawn and Dusk would hear her. The Princess wasn't showing any signs of calming down, despite following Rosie's breathing technique. Then the gem troll suddenly grabbed the nervous troll's shoulders and shook her once or twice to get her attention. That single action frighten Melody but, it did succeed in making focus on the Match Maker.

" Okay. Just forget that I said that! Melody, you are beautiful. Your sweet as cotten candy. Be you and friendly. I know a trick we can use to see who is the most interested. It's subtle and simple. Do you understand?"

The host nodded her head again. She had stopped breathing into the bag so rapidly and deeply but,it was still held tightly around her mouth. Rosie gently removed the paper bag from Melody trying to not trigger another panic attack. Melody's fingers had dugged right into the mushroom she sat on to the point there were tiny holes forming. The Match Maker carefully helped Pip detach her grip, freeing her hands and arms from their locked position.

Aiden ran up to the two women out of breath and worried sick. Rosie turned around to see her friend's brother looking like he was about to pass out. He had his hands on his knees while he crouched down. His eyes was directed at the ground.

' Oh My God! Please... I can't handle two right now. ' Rosie thought.

" Pip - Pippy... Please tell me you weren't messing with the fireworks like I would do... " Aiden begged.

" Fireworks? She was with me when the last one took off. "

" Then who that looked like Pippy was preparing fireworks? " Aiden said with disbelief.

Pip stared at her brother still unable to talk. She did go to check on the trolls setting up their biggiest firework but, she didn't stay there long enough to mess with it. Not to mention, the Princess did help the trolls they hired for working the firework flower blasters by handing them the powder but, that was it. She wasn't actually preparing the flowers to fire away.

" I don't know. Go find out. I have this situation to deal with. " Rosie gestured to Melody. " I mean that in a nice way. I like helping you."

Melody rolled her eyes at both Rosie and Aiden. She stood up deciding that it would be better if she just talked to her mom for a couple a minutes. The short lady walked off into the dancing crowd ignoring her brother and friend's voices. Soon Pip found both her mother and father only now taking a break from danving. Poppy placed herself down at the table while Branch decided to grab them a drink. Before he left he kissed her on the cheek.

" I love you." Branch confessed.

" I love you too. " Poppy confessed too.

The blue troll walked away searching for a punch bowl. Pip sighed to herself while she laced her fingers together. She slowly and nervously approached her adopter mother. Poppy smiled warmly when she caught sight of her second daughter. The pink troll patted down on the seat next to her inviting   Pip to join her.

" Good job on the party, Pippy. You and Aiden did great. " Poppy complimented.

" Yeah... Thanks. "

Poppy sensed the tone in Pippy's voice to not be as happy as it usually was. Normally for parties, Pip would be so excited and would take part in most activities but, not now she seemed disengaged from the actual party. That made the mother worried.

" Is there something wrong?" Poppy asked concerned.

" How did you and dad get together?" Pippy asked suddenly.

" Well that's actually a really long story..." Poppy said surprised.

" Can I hear short moment version?"

" Hm... I told him that I loved that me and him were so different from each other and then your dad told me that he loved me. Then we high fived and had our first kiss. " Poppy told fondly.

Then before the Queen was just about to ask why Pip would want to rehear the story, Pippy noticed sometimes shiny in her hair. It seemed to be sticking an tiny corner. The Princess pointed to the book, shifting from somewhat upset to curious.

" What's that?"

Poppy looked up to see the hint of the mysterious scrapbook she found yesterday. She softly smiled reaching up inside her hair and pulled out the enchanting book. Pippy was equally blown away by the cover getting stuck in a trace, just like Poppy did. The pink woman placed the scratch on the table and delicately pushed it towards her daughter.

" I found it in the libary. I don't know what exactly the scrapbook is for but, it talks a lot about Trairies and potions. Even our Primrose border. Turns out the Primroses had always been magical!" Poppy explained fascinated.

" Can I borrow it? " Pippy asked still in awe by the detailed cover.

Pippy returned her gaze back to her mother's eyes. Poppy didn't even think twice about her choice. She nodded her giving her daughter permission without a single word. Pip's eyes lit up as she gasped happy about her mom's decision. Pippy's lips formed her usual sweet smile as she grabbed the book pulling it towards her flat chest.

" Thanks, Mom. What else is magical around our village?" Pippy said reverting back to her former child like wonder.
