Chapter 11

The next day, Rosie was back at the Primrose border. She was back in her regular clothes but, this time there was a pair of headphones around her neck connected plunged into the ipod in her hand. The Match Maker sat a mushroom with her back facing the flowers.

" Hey Charlotte. Howz it going? No. Hi Charlie. How was the fall from heaven? Seriously? A pickup line from my Okay List! What's up, Babygirl. NO! She hates that pet name! What am I doing?" Rosie rehearsed.

Rosie was just about to physically hit herself from the pressure she had put herself under but, instead placed her headphones over her ears and searched for litteraly any slow and calming song. Once she found the playlist,Rosie hit play and breathed. Just like she had advised Jinx yesterday.

When the Match Maker finally relaxed herself, she paused her current song and brought her headphones back on her shoulders. Rosie let out one last deep breath with her eyes shut as she hugged herself. This stress wasn't good for her mind.

" Okay. If I take my own advice I should be fine..." Rosie reminded herself. " Chill out, be yourself, be polite, be honest and most importantly respect her boundaries and feelings. I can do this."

The female troll put her headphones back on and decided to contuine playing her current song while she waited. Charlotte should arrive any moment now. Rosie truly didn't want to ruin her chances by treating her crush like how Charlotte was treated by her ex. Charlotte didn't deserve that disrespect from anyone, especially since she did nothing wrong.

'Okay. Don't compare yourself to her ex. Your either gonna cause issues or sound werid like your more interested in her ex-girlfriend. Just be me.' Rosie thought.

The Gem troll turned herself around to look at the lovely flowers, she enjoyed visiting. Primroses were Rosie's favourite flowers and this border of them was simply a magnificent sight. Why wouldn't she come here during her off time? Rosie also found these Primroses enchanting but, never could figure out why for that specfic thought. That was just how she felt.

Unknowingly to the flower admirer, two certain male trolls had decided to pay her a visit. River and Sage needed help to win over their unwilling love interests, who pretty much had every right not to like them back. However that didn't matter to the two men. The everyday clothes River wore were a pair of long dark green leaf pants and black dahlias petal vest with a folded collar.

River lightly tapped Rosie's shoulder causing her to straighten her back as her body perked up. Thinking that it was her crush,Charlotte, Rosie smiled and brought her natural confidence. With a simple press she turned off her ipod until her ears were opened to other sounds.

" Hey Lotte. I didn't hear you com -" Rosie greeted happily turning herself around. "Your not Charlotte..."

In those single first few seconds of actually seeing who was behind her,Rosie's excitement was rapidly replaced with disappointment. Her heart sank in her chest slowing down it's beating pace while her facial expression dropped as well. It displayed her actual emotions but,she quickly picked it back up despite not particular liking one of male trolls before.

" Oh I'm sorry. I was expecting someone else. How can I help you? " Rosie said very professionally.

The Match Maker removed her headphones and placed them, along with her ipod, in her hair. Her hands rested on her lap while she politely smiled at her two new clients. Sage pulls out an envelope of money that him and River had put together to pay for Rosie's services. There was extra money in there to help win her over on their side of their current love stories of unrequited feelings. The glitter troll quietly handed over the money to the Match Maker while Roland did most of the talking with his charming voice.

" Miss Rosie, me and my friend are kinda caught between a rock and a hard place you know. I'm sure that your probably aware of my love life but, I hear you pride yourself on fixing relationships so what do you say? Are up for the challenge?" Roland said smoothly.

Rosie looked at the unopened envelope then back up at Sage and Roland. Something about them were giving off an werid vibe but, she couldn't pin point exactly where she was getting it from. Maybe for River's case it's from recently finding out that he cheated on Princess Harmony. River was a red flag but, Sage? She didn't know much about him.

" Depends... Who are you now as in right at this very moment are after exactly?" Rosie asked suspicious.

" My Harmony..."

" Prince Aiden..."

Those answers were exactly the answers the Match Maker did not and was afraid to hear from him. The blood in her veins ran cold. If Rosie remembered correctly Harmony had not just moved on with her life but, wanted nothing to do with River for obvious reason.

The guy broke her heart so badly that she couldn't bring herself to her own wedding then had locked herself away in her own pod for two months. According to the rumors, the princess had turned grey and was a threat to herself. When she came out during the third month; it for only for her mental health, food and to privately visit her close family and few of her friends. That's it. Only during the fourth month she was becoming active again and stepped back fully into the village's public eye. Melody used be so worried about Harmony and never talked about what was happening in full details to respect her sister's wish for privacy. Imagine what kind of possibly worse damage Harmony could end up if she gave her repaired heart back to the one who broke it? Red Flag!

As for Prince Aiden? Rosie was even more limited in terms of the knowledge she currently had. Apparently Aiden and Sage were having or had some sort of falling out but,he only told a select group of trolls about what had actually happened leading up to fallout and the fallout itself. Whenever the Match Maker would ask her friend's brother about Sage, Aiden's entire mood would shift negatively then he would become uncomfortable. In response he would either refuse to explain his situation with Sage or change the subject. Whatever happened must had been really bad for Aiden to now consider his best friend a stranger.

" No. No. No. I can't help you. Take your money and go!" Rosie denied panicked.

The Match Maker wanted nothing to do with this. No involvement! She knew for a fact that Harmony and Aiden did not share the same feelings as River and Sage did for them. Rosie didn't need to go through the whole hell version of coaching her cilents to know that it was going fail with drama following right behind it. The gem troll threw the money back at Sage, who caught it, and placed her hands up in the air.

" But, you said that you could fix any and every Love life crisis, Miss. " River said.

" I said "Almost every and any love life crisis"! I already know for sure based off you are that you guys are the exception! " Rosie barked.

She pulled out her business card and showed the men what it said as she corrected River. There was generally no way Rosie coukd guarantee that a happy ending waiting for her usual cilents' love stories but, when the red flags came directly she hoped that they didn't succeed in winning back or over their love interests.

" Now please. Just go, leave Harmony and Aiden alone, leave me alone and move on. " Rosie said worried and seriously.

The female troll stood up from where she sat on top of the mushroom but, before she could try to walk away somebody had grabbed her hand. The card in her hand fell out landing at her feet. She looked down to see River with pitiful eyes and facial expression. Sage had backed up and was watching his new ally work the same charms, he used to use on Harmony, on Rosie.

" C'mon Rosie. Give us a chance to fix things. That's all I ask. I'm not the same troll I was before. " Roland begged.

" One. River, you cheated. There nothing you could do to fix that or make Harmony truly trust you again! " Rosie redirected her gaze. "And also two. Sage, I don't know what happened but, Aiden made his feelings for you really clear to me. "

Rosie lanked her hand away from River then proceeded to make her way onto the bigger mushroom. It could help her get and maintain more distance between her and the two unwanted trolls. Folding her arms turned her back to River avoid seeing his tricks. If she didn't have her self control or knew better, he could had easily won her over. Her gut warned her not to look into the dark voids that he had for eyes.

" I have the right to deny my services. Please respect my decision to not want any involvement in your plans and especially respect Harmony and Aiden's wishes. Whether you believe it or not I am not a miracle worker. Please just go. " Rosie said calmly and respectfully.

The purple haired troll sighed heavily as she listened out for footsteps. Her head hung low as the thoughts of possibly harming her  friend's siblings bothered her. She didn't feel guilty about what she had done and truly stood by her decision but,a part of her deep within her heart and soul feared that this wasn't going to be her last meeting with River and Sage. Little did Rosie know how correct that gut feeling was going to be...

" Rosie? Are you okay?" An female voice asked concerned.

A small and sad smile formed from the Match Maker's lips as her ears perked and her eyes subtly lit up. Hearing that voice made her heart flutter like it had turned into a butterfly. Her head lifted up back to it's orginal position. Rosie slowly turned around bringing her arms down to her sides but, despite how happy she was to see the now only troll remaining in her presence, she couldn't fully shake off the growing pit in her stomach.

" Hi Charlotte. I'm fine. I was just dealing with a diffcult situation eariler but, there's no need to worry. I took care of it." Rosie admitted softly. " That's enough about me. How about you?"
