Chapter 1
The next day far away in Pop Village...
There were trolls were putting on or wearing their best suits and dresses. The rest of villagers walking about buzzing with excitement weren't dressed as nice but, still wore an noticeable improvement from their every day clothes. In the village's main square, most villagers pulled their weight in helping the hired staff to set up for one of the two parties scheduled. The two most grand parties of the decade!
A handful of villagers adjusted the hanging fairy lights around the smaller and largest mushrooms. Another two swung from the trees carrying baskets of Flower bouquets with the colours of pink, white, red and yellow too. Some members of the working staff thankfully took the flowers running off to the largest mushroom to decorate the natrually turned stage platform. The Party planner clapped their hands calling on everyone to keep on moving. He was making sure that everything was as perfect as possible.
" Your Doing Great, Everyone! Let's Keep Going To Make Princess Harmony's Day Feel Even More Special! " The Party Planner encouraged.
Why was today so special you may wonder? Today was the day of a wedding but, just any wedding! The Royal wedding of Princess Harmony Timberlake and her soon-to-be husband, River Roland Brand. One the best soldiers from King Branch's army. Most trolls were absolutely thrilled and couldn't wait to see the newly wed couple tonight and soon take their place as the new King and Queen.
Except for King Branch... He wasn't exactly fond of his eldest daughter's partner. The father didn't know why but, River seemed rather too good to be true. He could never shake off that gut feeling, despite having had met his Harmony's fiancé many times.
The current rulers were in the currently being setup wedding earlier than everyone else in the Royal Family. The area was closed off to the public since it was a private event but, the After Party scheduled for that night was for the rest of the village to celebrate the new union. The staff were just adding the final touches while the couple kept an eye on things.
" Oh Harmony is going to love it!" Queen Poppy rejoiced.
The Queen's elegant teal dress just barely went passed her knees. Her dark hot pink hair was tied in it's usual ponytail. The glittery freckles on her light pink skin sparkled under the sunlight shining on them. Her nose, which matched her hair in colour, appeared lighter due to the sunlight as well. Her pink eyes were filled with pure joy as her smile became bigger.
"Yeah. Sure..." King Branch replied lowly.
The Queen of Pop noted the not happy but, not upset tone within her husband's voice. She sigh turning around while the working trolls moved the wedding cake to it's own table. Branch looked around at of the flowery decorations hanging around and from the large white tent. His gaze moved down towards the welcome sign near the entrance.
" Branch... "
" I'm fine, Poppy. Just thinking... "
" Honey, Harmony is 24. You and me both knew that this was going to happen at some point. "
" That's not what I'm worried about."
" Then what is?"
Branch sighed heavily to himself before turning around to face his wife. His navy suit was somewhat similar to his Royal Sapphire hair in shade. His skin was a little less bright than yesterday, appearing to be an faint sky blue. His purplish blue nose seemed little more purple than usual. His blue eyes ,filled with concern, locked with Poppy's pink eyes.
" Don't you think Harmomy and River moving little too fast? Like she only knew and dated him for three years then came to us freaking out when he proposed going on about how she wasn't ready. "
" Okay. I see your point but, maybe she just had cold feet? I doubt she would had said 'Yes' in the first place if she didn't want this. "
" And River. He's just -? Look. I don't know how to explain this but, something about him gives off an werid vibe. I don't hate or dislike him but, he sounds a little too good to be true. You know? Even you thought that too when we first met him. "
" Branch... Yeah but, now he proved that he makes her happy. Isn't that important?"
"I know. It's just I can't shake it... "
Meanwhile with the Bride...
Princess Harmony twirled before the mirror in her gorgeous wedding dress. It had a high mermaid tail with flowers and leafs made out of lace. The bodice had a sweetheart neckline and simliar lace pattern from her mermaid tail on her skirt while her top remained plain. The dress complimented her figure but, it didn't allow as much movement as the bride would had liked it to be. Her brushed down Royal Sapphire hair was tied into a lovely braid. Her hair was longer than usual since her fiancé had told her before repeatedly that he favoured it that way, whenever it grew passed her prefered length.
Harmony couldn't believe it that today was the day that would change her life forever. She hummed to herself trying her best to take her mind off her nervousness. Sure, she didn't orginally wanted to get married this soon in life but, she trusted River. He was so confident and sure about how getting married now instead of later would be the best way to move their relationship forward. Why would that not be a good sign for their relationship?
" I hope River will like this dress. Afterall he did pick it for me... " Harmony commented.
Taking one last look in the mirror, the princess breathed in deeply and released. Marrying the love of her life shouldn't be as scary now as it was when he first springed it on her out of nowhere. She prepared for months for this day. Harmony could do it. Or at least she hoped so...
The Bride grabbed the big and white rose clip sitting on her dresser. She clipped it into her hair on the right side of her head. Harmony smiled at her reflection regaining her confidence to face the day ahead of before walking out of her pod while lifting up her own skirt with her hands.
The sunlight delicately highlighted her light pink skin and her glittery freckles as the Royal Bride stood outside her pod. Her beautiful blue eyes searched for something or rather someone. Then a large critter flew down with a familiar face driving it and another who was enjoying the ride. Harmony's smile grew ten times bigger when her saw her friend, Jinx, in both his best black suit and in the driver's seat. She hadn't been able to see or talk to him much since she had gotten engaged. The man's awestruck gaze went unnoticed by the young woman as she moved with grace over to her ride.
" Wow... Your - "
" Harmony, You look Gorgeous!" Princess Pip goshed cutting off Jinx.
The younger princess of Pop leaped off the critter, excited to see and hugged her big sister. Her royal purple dress luckily didn't take too much air from the quick landing. The ruffled layers of the skirt still managed to only lifted up by the length of a troll's finger before regaining it's orginal position.
Pip and Jinx actually looked more alike than Harmony and Pippy but, Pippy was not blood related to either of them. The similar physical trait Jinx and Pippy shared was the shade of light green of their skin. Besides that Pippy had dark purple hair, lavender nose, dark green mole spots and two different coloured eyes. One pink and the other blue. Jinx however had red hair, hazel eyes and a darker green nose.
" You really think so? " Harmony questioned surprised.
" Yes! When River sees you he's gonna fall in love with you all over again! " Pip exclaimed excited. " Also what happened your orginal dress? Are you saving it for the reception?"
" Oh... Well no... I had to return it so I could swap it for this one... Besides River never like it anyway." Harmony admited calmly.
" First... He saw it?! And second... But, you said that you loved it when dress shopping and at your fitting... " Pip exclaimed shifting from shock to confusion.
Jinx carefully climbed down the flying critter joining the two sisters. Hearing about the whole dress the conversation going on awoke a couple bitter thoughts Jinx had but, never vocalized due to his respect for his best friend and her relationship. The critter sat down on it's own accord behind the three trolls, before the male leaned his back against it.
" Pippy, it's just a dress... And it's not like I hate this one. Sure it's not exactly my preferred style but, that doesn't mean it's bad. As long as I have River, everything is all good. " Harmony calmly explained.
Pippy wasn't sure if her sister was trying to convince her or herself about the last minute changes being fine but, who was she to judge? If Harmony was happy then she should be happy for her. After all it was Harmony and River's day. The shorter Princess shrugged everything off accepting her sister's words as is.
" Now enough about me. Royal purple looks so lovely on you. " Harmony complimented adoringly.
" Aww... Thanks. " Pippy said flattered.
" And Jinx, you look amazing. It's a shame that you don't get to dress up like this a lot. " Harmony added with her most genuinely kind tone.
Jinx turned his face away from Harmony's view shyly, attempting to hide the blush forming on his face. Something about the way Harmony would say sweet things to him always brighten up his mood and sometimes even made his heart flutter. He could never pin point how she gained this power over him but, that didn't matter much to him. Jinx valued every word she had for him that would leave her mouth regardless of what they were.
" Oh just stop. " Jinx joked.
The older Princess smiled at his palyful bashfulness as her gaze soften. Then Harmony's eyes widen when a random thought reminded her of something important that she had almost completely forgotten about! The female troll redirected herself to Pippy, who was simply waiting for the next hug time to come around. She needed to know if Pippy had it.
" Did you get the gift?" Harmony asked worried and quietly.
" You Know It!" Pip chimed.
Pippy dramatically pulled out a light wooden box from her ponytailed hair. She opened revealed a hand crafted boutonnière. You could tell that it was expertly made by how the yellow petals were position and shaped into a rose with two small red and white hearts within the center. Jinx couldn't see the gift well from where he stood but, judging off how Harmony's eyes lit up he could tell that she loved it. The bride eagerly took the box after it was closed from her little sister.
" It's Perfect! Oh Thankyou! "
" I know. I'm an angel. " Pippy joked lightheartedly. " Tell River that he can thank me later. "
" Thank you for what?" A sudden and familiar voice interrupted.
