"Sonakshi today was your last day"

"It was my second last day Dev"

Dev had called Sonakshi at 11:30 in the same night when the Dixits had given Sonakshi a farewell party.

"No it was your last day... No need to come from tomorrow"

Sona was taken aback.

"W... Why? I know that coming for another day wouldn't affect Aunty ji's health a lot but I thought our relation is not just limited to professionalism 😕😢"

"Oh... Hold on... You don't have to come to work tomorrow because... "

"Because? "

"We are going on a trip tomorrow just you & me"

Sona literally shouted YIPPEEE & jumped in her room. Krystle thought something has happened to her & she knocked the door of her room & shouted "You're okay Sonakshi?"

"Ha ... Yes I am" Sona was still squealing

"Itni Khushi Ms. Bose? Are you jumping in the room? Like a Kharghosh?"

"Kharghosh?"

"Rabbit. The one who has 2 teeth in front... The cute little rabbit"

"Kind of! "

"Get yourself some sleep I'll pick you up at 9 tomorrow"

"Ok"

"Good bye... Ms Kharghosh"

Sona disconnected the phone & jumped on her bed shouting

"So where are we going today?" Sonakshi asked Dev. She was dressed in a simple blue shirt & white pants. While Dev was wearing an orange shirt & black trousers.

"Doodhsagar falls😊"

"Doodhsagar falls? It's 60km from Goa... It will take almost the entire day to make this trip!" Sonakshi wasn't expecting Dev to take her for such a long trip.

"That's why your Boss has given you an off!" Dev smiled proudly.

"Ok. Boss ji"

"Sona I hate that name! Your Jattu Bhaiya is enough to irritate me" Dev said. He was completely annoyed. "We are getting late anyways let's move now!!! "

He held her by her shoulders & dragged her to his car. When both of them settled down Dev asked,"All set Ms. Bose? "

"Yes Mr. Dixit"

They headed towards the Doodhsagar falls. One of the most visited tourist attraction.Doodhsagar is a complete beauty to watch. 4 tiers of waterfalls join & cascade down to form this fall.

Breath taking isn't it? The best part is you can find plenty of water in any season of the year.

After a long drive DevAkshi reached their destination.

"This is it? " Sona asked "Water to kya yaha mujhe aadmi bhi fall karta hua nahi dikh raha hai"

"That was a lame one! " Dev remarked

Dev had stopped his car at a place where there were small shops lined up on the road. Along with them there were open jeeps aligned one after the other.

"We'll take a car from here & then reach the point from where we'll have to trek for about 15 minutes" Dev told Sona

Sona wasn't paying attention to him she was busy reading a board which said Mar gaye to humari zimedaari nahi hai-Goa Tourism. Well not actually what it meant was you'll have to take care of your belongings & yourself if god forbid anything happens to anyone the person will himself be responsible.

"Sonakshi are you even listening? Chalo... We've got to buy tickets & hire a jeep"

Sonakshi was frozen in her seat she didn't want to die so soon! She dramatically cupped her head in her hands. "Ouch!Ouch! My legs are paining" She began shouting

"Legs are paining!" Dev raised his eyebrows "Then why are you holding your head!"

"My legs are having a headache!" Sona said confidently.

"Okay" Dev got down from his car & went towards Sona's side. He opened the gate of her side & picked her up in his arms. "Now your legs' headache won't be an issue!"

Sonakshi was shocked at first but then her senses relaxed. A soothing calmness spread over her completely. Dev was giggling as he took her to the ticket counter but Sona was busy admiring him. How she wished she could confess all about her life to him. She didn't want to make a decision about their lives, she wanted Dev to decide it for them. It was clearly plastered on Dev's face that he was madly in love with Sonakshi & Sona could sense it too but the situation was so delicate that she found the best option to keep mum about her feelings. She didn't want him to let him go too so she tightened her grip over his neck.

They reached the ticket counter & when Dev realised that people except the two of them existed in this planet & such people were staring at them with open mouths & popping eyes he dropped Sonakshi. She fell down with a thud!

"Ouch! " Sonakshi cried

"Sorry I'm so sorry" Dev helped her in getting up

"Uncle apni wife ko naraz nahi karte" A kid said "Jab Papa mummy ko naraz karte hain to mummy unko ghar se nikal deti hai"

His mom covered his mouth with her hands. Dev really didn't care about what the child's parents did he was gushing over the fact that he called Sona his wife. Mrs. Sonakshi Dev Dixit.

"Sounds so good" Dev thought aloud

"What sounds so good?" Sona asked

"Mrs Sonakshi Dev Dixit" Dev said dreamily.

"Huh? " Sona asked

"Uuh... Our turn has come Ms. Sonakshi & Dev Dixit's turn has come... What did you hear?... Mrs. Sonakshi Dev Dixit? Naah... I never said that" Dev said all of this in one go

"I never said that you said anything of this kind!!" Sona kept her finger on her lips in attempt to control her laughter

"Ho gaya aap dono ka ya kuch baaki hai? There are others in the queue please pay & leave" The man at the ticket counter affirmed.

Dev hurriedly paid for the tickets & dragged Sona out of the counter. They got inside an open jeep & were ready for their ride. It was literally a jhatko wala SAFAR but despite the bumpy ride they didn't suffer in the safar. As the jeep moved on the rocky terrain and flowing water,Sona fell on Dev again & again. Everytime she fell over him she would get lost in the depth of his eyes.

"Don't check me out so openly Ms. Bose" Dev chuckled

Sona straightened up after falling over him the umpteenth time. She was not only loosing physical control over herself even her brain was loosing control over her heart. If the ride didn't end in a minute or so she would end up confessing everything.

Much to Sona's relief & Dev's dismay, the ride came to an end. It was time for the deadly trek. As they paced through the dense forest Sona's fears regarding the warning sign resurfaced. She clutched Dev's hands tightly & he led the way towards the water fall.

They reached the waterfall finally but awkward situations didn't seem to leave them.

The waterfall descended down & formed a pool where the tourists swam or lazily sat down & enjoyed the aura of the place but all of this happened while wearing a bath suit! There were seperate shaky changing rooms for men & women but neither Dev nor Sonakshi wanted to wear a bath suit in front of each other for some reason. Although their hearts screamed to get inside the water & splash just like other couples.

"Ummm... So? " Dev spoke breaking the awkward silence between the two.

"So?"

"I think the idea of going in the water water is so-so"

"So?"

"Let's get back"

"No" Sona screamed scaring a few tourists. "I have a plan". The kind of life Sona lived had a few advantages. She could handle any situation & live in the most primitive of conditions too! Along with Dev she climbed a little higher on the terrain. They settled down in a clearing & watched the rest of the tourists from the top. They were quite close to Doodhsagar & its water created a lot of noise when it fell from those great heights. From the place where DevAkshi were, they were hardly audible to each other. Dev still made an effort to speak.

"Mogambo tumhare idea se khush hua. Maango! What do you want?"

You! Sona's heart screamed on the top of its voice!

"I'm content in this moment... I wish for nothing more" Sona said.

After spending a lot of quality time together, they came back to the spot where the jeeps were waiting for them. It was a long & satisfying day! (& a happy chappy too).

DevAkshi settled in Dev's car.

"Thank you so much for this outing Dev" Sona chimed

"It's not the end! I have another plan for you" Dev smiled to himself.

He refused to answer all her queries just like I refuse to reveal all the secrets of this book 😁. Some surprises & mysteries are meant to be opened slowly.

Dev stoped his car in Panaji & woke Sona up who was sleeping with her mouth open.

"Makhi ki factory na kholni ho apne muh me to muh band kar ke chalo Sonakshi"

Sona instantly shut her jaw. It took time for her eyes to adjust to the bright lights but when they did her jaw dropped again. Dev had booked a Yatch just for the two of them.

"Dinner time!" He said

Sonakshi turned to look at him but something else caught her attention. A figure draped in black was hiding behind a tree & was aiming his gun... At Dev. In reflex she pushed him back just in time to save him from the bullet that missed the two of them by an inch. Even before Dev could register what had happened Sonakshi was running after the hooded figure.

Sonakshi was sprinting towards the person. By her agility she was surprising her own self. She streched her hand to remove the hood of the person & the person tripped revealing her long black hair. The hood had a number 271!

271 got up & covered her face with her hands. She pushed Sonakshi with her elbow & ran away. Sona fell down but she had managed to see the face of agent 271.

Dev caught up with her & bent down besides Sonakshi. He was bombarding her with questions but Sona was numb after the revelation of the true identity of 271.
