{A/N:} This chapter is going to be a lot shorter than the others because it's basically just a filler. Chapter twenty is where it the plot continues but I thought about Alya and Nino and how they haven't been included that much

While Marinette rushed to Lucas', Adrien sat in the living room, watching his son run around. The blonde smiled sweetly as Hugo climbed up onto the couch next to him. Even though Marinette was still very confused over him and Cole, Adrien realized how much he had missed out on. The pictures of Hugo and Marinette scattered the wall, leaving an adorable collage of the two. A smaller picture of himself was hung by the window. Adrien stood up and walked over to it. The picture was taken when they had just entered college. It was weird to think back on that time since what resulted after left most to believe he died.

Adrien left his thoughts momentarily when the door bell rang. He shuffled over to the door and pulled it open, smiling almost instantly. There stood Alya and Nino with Devan wrapped in Alya's arms.

"Hey guys! What brings you by?"

The two glanced at one another before they both grinned. Adrien moved aside so they could enter. "We have great news for you and Mari!" Nino replied.

Alya nodded, setting Devan down. "And by the looks of it, you two have news for us as well?" Alya looked hopeful as she glanced at the blonde.

Adrien looked away and bit his bottom lip. "We really haven't discussed that much, but," he turned back to his friends. "What's your news? You both look really happy."

Nino sat down, Alya sitting next to him. "Well, long story short, we are!" Alya said and patted the seat beside her, Adrien sitting there right after. "But we were going to tell you both. Where's Marinette?"

"Lucas called with an emergency. She should be back later." Alya nodded and turned to Nino to get his approval.

"I don't see why not," he replied with a shrug of his shoulders. Alya squealed with joy and turned back to Adrien.

"Nino and I are having another baby!"

Adrien's eyes lit up. "That's amazing! Congrats!" He pat her shoulder and gave her a toothy grin.

"Granted, Nothing is official as of yet but-"

"But the fun part is about to begin!" Nino cut in and laughed.

Alya rolled her eyes at him. "Technically, we're going to try but fingers crossed!"

Adrien wrapped an arm around Alya and hugged her. "That really is great. Marinette is going to be ecstatic when she finds out."

"Speaking of children," Nino spoke up, raising a brow. "Now that you're back, when are you and Mari going to have another one?"

Alya immediately turned to him, nodding in agreement. "Yeah! She's always told me how she wants another baby, but..." her face turned forlorn. "With you gone, she didn't want to proceed with another guy."

Adrien looked down momentarily. "I dunno..." he admitted. "I've wanted another one, but," Adrien glanced at Hugo. "I'd really like to spend more time with Hugo first and plus, I only just got back. We've got time."

"Not if you disappear again." Nino joked.

Adrien stifled a chuckle. "No but seriously, we'll have another baby once we're ready and plus, Marinette technically didn't choose me. She's still on the fence about things."

Alya nodded and placed a hand over his own. "Well, we're definitely team Adrien."

Adrien smiled. "Thanks."

"Plus, Adrienette for life!" Nino added, making all three laugh.

"Thanks for the enthusiasm, Nino." Alya said and lightly pecked his cheek.

Things were good for all of them finally. No more drama to get in their way and be a hindrance. As long as that could be kept up with, they'd all be fine but a sense of dread ran through each of them, each feeling like something big was about to happen yet the couldn't tell when.
