Chapter Fourteen
"To my best friends in the world,
This letter may come to a shock for you, it certainly has for me. But writing it all out may help ease my mind out of the insanity its been through.
First off, Eileen has left. She packed a bag earlier and told me she wasn't coming home. It came as a surprise... I thought we were happy... I thought she was happy, but looking back on everything now, I knew she really wasn't mine to begin with. When we first started dating, she would bring up this other guy who she thought was amazing in every way. I'm not going to lie, I was jealous in the beginning but after I found out who this guy was, i relaxed. He was famous, it was common for him to have fans the only thing that was different with Eileen was that she thought of him in a different way. She would tell me sometimes about meeting him, getting his number which would lead to their first date. At this point, I had heard her stories a million times and could recite them in my sleep. While I knew she wouldn't pursue anything, Eileen went behind my back our senior year. We were supposed to attend a community college in England and have our own apartment but things changed when she came to me with the idea of attending a fashion school in Paris. While I loved my home in London where my family and old friends were, I thought that Eileen was the love of my life then. I really thought we would get married after graduating, which did happen, but once we arrived, I realized she was only there to get the attention of another guy. The same guy she's had a crush on since... well, I don't really know when. They became friends pretty quick although didn't try to go any further since we were dating and he was trying to get the attention of another girl.
Now I'll give you a clue on who this guy is; he's a good friend of mine, someone I would even consider family. He has always been there for me and I know he'll be there when all this mess is let out. Eileen didn't know a thing about fashion until she came across an ad of his. She then began to read up on sewing and designing, only doing it because she knew his father was a designer. In her mind, if she became a some-what famous designer, his father would notice her and invite her over to discuss her techniques, ultimately meeting her dream guy... or something like that. She was so fixated on this plan that she applied for a fashion school where he lived, after researching where he was from. Sounds a lot like a stalker, I know but Eileen was determined to meet him that she would do anything.
Fast forward to when they met, she was jumping with glee before he came in, she couldn't sit still. It broke my heart to see her gush about him, but I knew she was fan... the only thing I didn't know was that she was in love with him. Technically speaking, she was obsessed with him but made it seem like she only wanted to be his friend. Speaking of his friend, the girl he was in love with was Eileen's roommate, a request made by Eileen. She knew that the girl was friends with her crush, so if she got the girl to be her roommate then maybe she would introduce the guy to Eileen.
Everything seemed to fall into place as Eileen and this guy became close until he disappeared. Now I won't go into detail but long story short, Eileen was in communication with him the entire time and tried to get the love of his life married to some other guy. The wedding was called off when her crush ran through the door to stop it. In return, the two were married by the end of the day, putting Eileen's dream on hold. For the next five years, she planned out his death, where he would live, and their wedding. I rummaged through her belongings one day when she left everything out by accident. I found the plan in a notebook and confronted her about it the next day. She made an excuse and said it was for a book she was writing... she was wrong because not two years later, the guy was in a presumably fatal car accident. Turns out, she had it all planned so she could... make him hers... but in order to do so, his wife needed a substitute. Eileen had almost gotten her married off to some guy but it ended in Eileen's own heart breaking when her crush and friend were married hours later. So this time, would end differently.
Eileen would marry him first then get his wife involved with some other guy. She hired a guy to be her friend's new lover, giving him a script for every time they talked. The two grew close in the short amount of time that they knew each other. No one knows for sure what will happen between them now that her husband has returned. The truth will be exposed... if not by me, then hopefully by him because he knows what Eileen did was wrong. He didn't want to marry Eileen, but she made it seem like it was his only option to see his wife.
Eileen isn't who everyone thinks she is... she's a manipulator, only doing things that will aid her stupid plan. She's betrayed her friends countless times without them even knowing and I won't let it go on any longer. Eileen and I are over... she will never see Elliot as long as I'm alive. Hell, she might just kill me so she can... she's capable of it... it would seem like an accident... just like Adrien Agreste.
Adrien, Marinette, Hugo, Elliot, Alya, Nino, and Devan.... I am so sorry for everything Eileen has ever done. She'll no longer be a problem, we won't have to worry about the next time Adrien goes missing or some sleazy guy coming in to steal Marinette away.
There's one thing I have to do before she leaves for good. I have to get her to confess to everything... it's the only thing that makes sense to me, since my entire life with her never has. I'm ashamed of myself for tagging along on her crazy ride. If I could turn back time, I would've ended things the first time I seen a red flag in our relationship... I would've done things differently. But I am grateful for one thing out of this entire thing; Elliot. Even though Eileen is his mother, she's making the mistake of leaving him. He'll never have a normal life with two loving parents but then again, every one of our lives have never been "normal" have they?
I don't have long before I need to leave for the airport... I am so happy to finally get this all off of my chest. I'm sorry for her actions, none of you deserved it. I know I should apologize for what she did, but I know she won't so I hope this is compensation.
Love, Lucas."
