Chapter the First: New adjustments

Anna's POV

Oh my goodness, they all looked different... How could I have not noticed how hot girls were from the start? Oh shit, I think one caught me staring.

Walking down the isle of my new school, I was in search for the principal's office. I asked some random person for directions and I don't think they helped my cause one bit. My mind constantly drifted away on shameless thoughts as I walked aimlessly down this never ending hallway.

I must commend Angelica's High School of Comprehension on their organization and tidiness. My past school was filthy to the brim! Well I guess, maybe because this is an expensive private school that's why it's in perfect shape.

Not minding where I was going, I felt my body bump into something. Stopping in my tracks and shaking my head to stable my thoughts, I looked at the site in front of me.

"Oh hey, I'm sorry; I didn't see you when you were coming. I-Uh was fixing some stuff in my bag and I didn't move out of the way. Erm... Is that your book, let me get it for you," The individual said, scrambling on the ground for the text book which was once in my hand.

She was so cute and my hormones began ragging. What's with this school and having extremely hot and cute girls?

"Thanks," I say, accepting my book. She just nods and blushes at me. Hmm, someone's embarrassed about something, ha-ha.

Her hair was a curly golden brown and fell below her shoulders. She wore those huge glasses over her bright blue eyes. In this case, I assume she's a nerd. Her face was round and she wasn't skinny nor was she fat. You can say she was kind of in between.

This girl, who I didn't know the name of as yet, began walking away with her head down. She didn't spare me another word. Acting on instinct, I grabbed hold of her wrist and then asked, "Um, could you show me the way to the principal's office?"

Turning to face me, her eyes sparkled and a soft smile was formed on those plum pink lips of hers. Her eyes then dart to where my hand was on her wrist and I quickly let go. Talk about awkward! I hope she doesn't think I'm a freak for holding on to her for a little too long.

"You're the new student everyone was talking about huh?" She asks and then shakes her head while chuckling. What was that supposed to mean? She then continues by saying. "I'll show you around. My name's Chelsea Adams by the way."

"Mine's Anna Jefferson."

That was the last thing we said to each other as we walked to the principal's office together. This girl seemed scared of something. Her eyes would constantly snap to the direction of certain groups of students and her head would then fall immediately afterwards. It wasn't any of my business but she seemed troubled.

I shrugged off the thought though, because I didn't want to assume anything right now. Because, let's face it... Today is my first day here.

The walk consisted of two left turns and one right. Chelsea then told me that there was a shortcut from the entrance to the here but I missed it. How the hell could a lazy person like me miss a shortcut?!

Opening the office's door for me, we entered without a knock. The principal was seated behind her desk with a folder in her hand. Looking up towards us, her face beamed. "How has my number one student been doing?" She questions Chelsea and they then get into small talk.

I was right; this chick was a nerd for real. Which normal student could have a one-on-one conversation with the principal like that? They were so deep in the conversation that they forgot that I was standing in the room.

Clearing my throat, I began speaking, "Um... Excuse me Miss..." I trail off, trying to read the fancy handwriting on the name thingy on her desk. I couldn't read it at all! What was that...Greek? Then I remembered our school's name. "... Angelica... I came for my timetable, locker combination and dorm keys."

The principal smiles at me and then searches the cabinets of her desk. I realized that she was a little too young to be a principal at a high school but...who was I to question that logic?

"Blond hair, green eyes, tall, supermodel body and a C cup bra size... You must be Anna Jefferson," She says, handing me what I came here for. This principal is a little too casual with her students, I must say. "Yes I am Miss, thank you."

I was already making my way out because I heard the warning bell for class ring. My back was already turned towards the principal and Chelsea but I was stopped in my tracks the moment I heard my name. "Anna, you should have Chelsea show you around. Here are your day passes girls. You guys can just go to class tomorrow."

Lifting one eye brow at my new principal, I wondered if her brain was functioning right. It didn't matter though, because I think I love her already.

"Thank you so much!"

"B-But I have to attend class!"

Chelsea and I said in unison. Was this chick for real? Who in their right mind wouldn't want an opportunity like this?

"Stop being a nerd for once and take the slips. Anna over there is waiting for you. Come on!" Oh my God, I love this lady! One point for teacher Angie! "Yeah Chelsea, I'm waiting. Hurry girl, take them. I want to explore this place already!"

She hesitated a bit but then took the slips out of the principal's hand. Their hands stayed together a few seconds too long and I knew something was up. They seemed to share a mental note just before switching possession of the day passes. I didn't really care because I had no class for the day! How great could this day get?

Saying our goodbyes to the principal, we made our way out of the office and down the hallway towards the other building on campus. The senior dorms were located to the right of the main school building. I was more than excited to see where my room was.

"Do we get individual rooms?" I question, staring at the keys in my hand. There was a washroom key and the key to my room.

"Yeah but in your case I think you'll need to share..." She says, trailing off and looking confused. "Oh come on! Why do I need to share?" I complained like a little kid. Chelsea just turned towards me and smiled while shaking her head.

We were half way down the hall and one corner away from exiting the main school building when suddenly something happened. A group of girls appeared out of nowhere and stood in front of us. Chelsea and I ceased our walking. I looked these three girls up and down and wondered what their problem was.

"Hmm what do we have here?" The one in the middle questioned. Her natural red hair was in a high ponytail. She had very light grey eyes which went well with her face. Her face on the other hand looked really fake. To make my point clearer, everything about her looked manufactured.

"Could you give us room to pass Kara?" Chelsea asked, fixing her bag to the side, not daring to look Kara, the bitch of the school I suppose, in the eye.

One of Kara's minions, stepped forward, "What are you going to do about it, huh Chelsea? Are you going to turn the new girl into a lesbian just like you? We came to warn her about you and your other homosexual friends."

I have a feeling that me being out of the closet is a pretty bad idea at this school. And here I thought that I being a lesbian wasn't so bad. I guess Chelsea has a hard time being gay at this school. Well in some sense, knowing that there are girls and maybe guys like me here isn't so bad after all.

"You don't need to worry about me. I already know which gender I prefer," I say, speaking up for myself.

All four girls, Chelsea included, stared up at me as if I was speaking Greek. I assume that they forgot that I was standing here. The one who was speaking earlier then flipped her dark brown hair over her shoulder and extended a hand towards me.

"If that's the case, I'm Mia, that's Kara and she's Logan. Welcome to our school," She says, her blue eyes piercing into my green ones. So they thought they ruled this place it seems. Reluctantly, I shook her hand, "Thanks, I'm Anna," I said.

"Bye Anna! See you around too, bitch!" They say in rhythm, staring down at Chelsea before they left us.

The moment the replicas of 'Mean Girls' were gone, Chelsea turned to face me. Her face was blank but she started talking. "I might find you really attractive and all but I swear I'll not force you to do anything you don't want to. I don't think I have the strength or courage to do so anyways. If you don't want to be seen with me and some of my friends, I understand. We're the students the other students make fun of and bully so it's all right if you-"

"Shut up Chelsea!" I say forcefully and rolling my eyes.

"Huh?" She says, staring at me in confusion.

"I'm a lesbian too so no need to worry. I'm pretty much out of the closet but at this school I think I'll go back in that closet until senior year ends. I don't want so much attention as yet."

Her mouth quickly forms an 'o' and then a bright smile forms on her face. Me... being interested in girls wasn't something new to me. I've been a lesbian for as long as I can remember. I wasn't the stud kind of girl; I was a lipstick lesbian to be precise... I was the girl in the relationship. I always went for the studs.

"Well if that's the case... Where were we headed again?" She asks, the moment we began walking again. For a nerd, she sure does have a short memory span.

"To my dorm Chels," I say, faking annoyance and snickering. Chelsea turned, started walking backwards then said, "Pfft, I knew that. I was just testing and see if you remembered."

Sure you were Chelsea... Sure you were.

"Whatever you say nerdy..."

"Thanks for the compliment. By the way, what dorm are you in, I hope it's near mine!" She exclaims.

"Um, let me see," I say, taking a look at my key chain. "I'm in dorm room 210. What's yours?"

Immediately she stopped in her tracks and I bumped into her for the second time for the day. Just to say, this time nothing fell to the floor. "Room 210... Are you sure?" She asks again, giving me this weird but intimidating look. "Yeah, I'm sure. See for yourself," I say, showing her the tag I had as a key chain.

"That's on the top floor. It's the only room on that floor. I hear it's pretty large and luxurious. The only bad thing... You're sharing a room with Alex because that's the largest room on campus. Alex is the principal's child."

"What is this Alex person like?" I question, wondering if I should be afraid or not. I hope it wasn't some bad boy or something of that sort. But wait... Girls and guys can share dorms? Oh yeah, Chelsea said that every other person had their own room. Dang, why couldn't they make a room for me?

"You'll have to find out on your own. My opinion might not be yours. Anyways, your bags and stuff are still in the storage room at the school?" She asks and I simply nod. "Then we'll go collect them on our way," Was all she said. Her face still looked dark as if something bad was going to occur.

*

I can't believe what a sly trick Chelsea played on me. After collecting my bags, we exchanged numbers and added each other to our social Medias. We then went to the senior dorm building to register for my room and to show our passes. Chelsea told me to go place the bags in the elevator and she'll be right there.

She claimed to be going to the washroom but I saw her running out of the building. Before I could stop it, the elevator's doors closed and my journey to the top floor began.

To be honest with myself I was scared. If a girl who was at this school longer than me could run away from going up to my room with me, something was definitely a problem here. But, it can't be helped, I need to pack my stuff anyways.

The dinging sound snapped me away from my thoughts and the doors then open, revealing nothing but a short walk through and a door at the end. Chelsea was right, this is the only room on this floor.

Trying my best, I pulled my bags out of the elevator before the door closed and went to the ground floor or something. I had five rolling traveling bags, two huge side bags and four jockey bags. Someone would think that I was moving out but I left most of my stuff at my house.

It was quite a hustle to bring all my stuff to the door but due to a miracle, I made it. Earlier on, I placed the time table, locker combination and my keys in the bag for safe keeping. Searching my bag I took the keys to unlock the door. To my surprise the door was opened.

I was a little confused because I predicted that everyone were to be in class or something. Dragging all my bags inside, I placed them in the center of what appeared to be a living room.

This dorm room wasn't simply a room. It was a freaking apartment! So far, I could spot a living room, the laundry compartment, a medium kitchen, a balcony and three doors. I figured that one of these doors were to be the bathroom and the two others to be bedrooms of such.

Taking in a deep breath, I then froze the moment I felt something cold on my neck.

"I think you're in the wrong place sweetheart," The person whispers in my ear. I gulp loudly because I was scared. You know what, scared was an understatement. I didn't know how to deal with situations like these! OMG I might fucking die!

"I-I-I am! Yes, I am! I am so sorry for barging in! Oops, I might have read the number on my key wrong. Yes, that's exactly what occurred. This is all an incident-"

"Could you shut your trap? You're giving me a fucking head ache," The person says, removing the knife from my neck.

Slowly, I turned to face this individual. My mouth hangs open at the site of this person. The only thought which circled my mind was, 'Oh damn, you're so hot! Hot can't compare to what you are!'

"Checking me out already?" A smirk was spread across Alex's lips. Well I do think that this person is Alex. If not, then I'm really screwed. A slight blush appears on my cheeks because I was caught red handed.

"I was not!" I say, well, more like shouted in defense.

The funny thing was... I didn't know if Alex was a guy or a girl. Alex appeared like a boy, sounded like a boy... Everything thing about Alex was boy like but something was telling me otherwise. I've never been attracted to a guy before so Alex must be a girl.

"Hmm, Anna Jefferson the new transfer student. We have same classes, great plus we're sharing a dorm and our lockers are next to each other. Screw my mom and her dirty tricks!" Alex exclaims, handing me my locker combination, time table and keys.

"When did you-"

"You were too distracted to notice me taking that stuff from your bag? You must be joking," He/She said, shaking her/his head at me with an amused expression on his/her face. This 'his/her' thing was beginning to confuse the crap out of me...

"I don't mean to be rude but-"

"The moment someone starts off what they are about to say with those words, they mean to be rude. But, continue nonetheless."

"-are you a girl or a boy? The name Alex can be used for both genders so I'm really confused."

"What exactly do I look like Anna?" Alex questions me, taking a step closer. I didn't realize how short I was before but I only met Alex's shoulder. His/Her cologne or whatever he /she used traveled up my nostrils. The smell was so natural and weakening!

"L-Looks may be deceiving...?" I reply, trying to take a step back but stopped by my bags. Alex then walks up towards me until there was close to no space between us. His/Her hazel eyes bored into mine and the air from his/her nostrils heated my face.

My heart was beating ferociously in my chest and the palms of my hands were sweating nonstop. What was Alex going to do? Alex leaned forward causing my eyes to close automatically. Feeling the hot breath on my ear drove me off the limit.

"I'm a girl Anna. A girl who wants to escape from this feminine world," She whispers into my ear and then vanished to another room of this apartment by the time I opened my eyes. I knew she was a girl, I could just sense it but... What did she mean by escaping this feminine world?
