Chapter Six
Jordon's POV.
"JORDON! GET YOUR FAT ASS DOWN HERE NOW!!"
I groaned and rolled out of my bed. Now what the hell does she want?
I pulled on the first shirt that I'd found and made my way downstairs. When I reached the living room I saw Ran standing with her arms crossed over her chest glaring at me. I sighed and leaned on the door frame.
Well this should be fun, I thought and flashed her a cheesy grin.
She huffed and turned away from me. "Jordon not everything is all fun and games, sooner or later you're going to have to grow the fuck up!"
"Okay." I said dragging out the word as I followed behind her. "I'm not sure that I'm following entirely."
"I'm tired of you constantly hanging out with the guys and not taking things seriously! Like when I wanted to talk to you last night all you did was ask me if I wanted to go to the clubs." She sighed and hung her head in her hands, I sat down next to her and pulled her into my lap.
She curled up against my chest. I felt hot tears soak my shirt. I sighed and rested my cheek on her head.
This wasn't the first time that she's complained about my behaviors. I'd say that within the last two years she's been whining a whole hell of a lot more about me hanging out with the guys.
I've tried to ask her why she's been acting like this but every time I do she yells at me and leaves to go live with her parents for a couple months. Honestly this was really starting to take a toll on me.
I do try and make time for her but we've been working on the album and we just got a break from tour so really this isn't my fault.
I don't really see why she's complaining so much. Just last week I surprised her with a romantic dinner that Brooke had helped me put together. Damn I swear there was no making this woman happy! All she ever wants is more, more, more!!
She pulled back from my chest to look at me. At first she still looked upset and had tears running down her face, but within the next five seconds it switched to a death glare.
And here comes the yelling.
I sighed and let myself fall back against the couch. Ran pushed herself up from my lap, she crossed her arms over her chest again and began to pace.
"Jordon I think that we should get a divorce." She stated oh so ever nonchalantly.
I stared at her with utter disbelief. Where the hell did this come from? She was crying less than three minutes ago. When did she come to this conclusion?!
"Ran what made you feel this way?" She averted her gaze from me, my heart sank rapidly to the bottom of my stomach the longer she didn't look at me.
She took a deep breath. "Jordon I've been seeing someone else for a while now and I just-"
I held up my hand to cut her off. I've heard more than enough for the moment. Yes I was curious as to who she's been seeing and how long "a while" is, but in all honesty I just needed some space.
I got up from the couch, walked over to the front door and held it open for her. She got the hint and walked out to her car.
I felt my body slump against the door as soon as I closed it.
"This can't be happening.."
The love of my life just literally walked out of my life without so much as a second glance back. How the hell did everything come down to this? Ever since I first saw her I had felt that she was the one for me, and she proved that every time that I'd mess up.
There was never a day that had passed that I would ever dream of cheating on her or ever leaving her...now she's gone. As long as she was there with me I had always felt that I could do anything, be anything.
A soft voice spoke up from behind me, "Jordon? Are you okay?" I turned around to see Brooklyn standing a few feet away with concern etched on her flawless face.
I tried to keep the tears from spilling over, but she saw right through me and held her small arms up for me to hug her.
It felt so weird to have her be the one comforting me and trying to make me feel better, but I would take her seeing me like this over any of the guys any day.
Her small frame fit nicely with my body as I hugged her. I almost laughed at how her arms could barely wrap around my waist.
"Are you gonna be okay?" She asked again, I nodded my head and hugged her tighter.
"As long as I have you to talk to then I'll be just fine." She pulled away from me and dug her phone out from her back pocket.
"How about some pizza? That always seems to work."
"Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" I chanted over and over while she dialed the number for the local Pizza Parlor. She laughed and tried to shove my shoulder.
After she placed an order for two large pies me and her ended up playing Call Of Duty until the food arrived.
"No no no....YOU ASS HOLE!!" She cried and threw her controller on the ground. I laughed and tossed a pillow at her head. She frowned and launched it back across the room at me.
"Clearly someone's a sore loser." I said chuckling.
"Whatever bitch." She rolled her eyes and sunk down in the couch. I sighed and walked over to her and threw her over my shoulder.
"Yo! Not cool bro!" She yelled and wrapped her arms, as best as she could, around me. I just laughed and smacked her ass. In return she kicked me in the stomach.
"Do that again and watch what happens Terell!!"
"Ooh I'm so scared of you Brooke.."
"Put. Me. Down!!"
I shrugged, "Okay then." I grabbed her waist and pushed her down on couch that I had been previously sitting on. She glared up at me before jumping up and punching me in my shoulder.
"Damn Brooke! Fuck!"
She smirked and sauntered out of the living room, grabbed her car keys then flipped me off before walking out of the house. "Pizza's here!" She called before she let the door shut.
Matt and the rest of the guys all came into the living room with beer and plates in their hands. Jorel paid for the pizza and laughed at me as he came back inside.
"Dude never test Brooklyn. She will hurt you."
"I can see that." I said rubbing the spot that she'd just hit me.
George came into the room looking as pissed as ever.
How did I know? He gave me the worlds best I'm-Going-To-Kill-You look I'd ever seen. The other guys noticed too, but didn't say anything about it.
I just shrugged it off and ate the pizza that Brooklyn had ordered for us.
About three hours later Brooklyn finally came back home with Ava following behind her.
Both of them had their nails freshly painted, and had their hair curled. I smiled over at Brooklyn and asked, "What's the occasion?"
Ava shot me a look that read, 'Really?' I held my hands up in defense. How the hell was I supposed to know what was going on lately?
Brooke patted Ava's shoulder and whispered something in her ear. Ava ran straight for George and threw her arms around his neck. I smiled to myself.
Jorel shot Brooklyn a questioning look, Brooklyn just smiled and sat down next to Vanessa. "So Ava, do you wanna tell your dad what's going on?" Ava nodded her head and ran back over to Brooklyn; she handed Ava a handmade card.
George took the cats from Ava and read it aloud;
"You are hereby formally invited to the fifth annual father daughter ball on the twenty-second of July two thousand and fifteen at six o'clock in the evening." He paused to smile over at Brooklyn. "Please RSVP with Princess Ava no later than eight o'clock this evening."
We all looked over at Ava then back over at George. She was smiling from ear to ear with excitement, looking expectantly at George.
"So? You wanna go daddy?!" Ava cried, I laughed at her and shook my head. Ava was looking at George expectantly and tapping her foot impatiently.
He smiled and nodded his head, "I'll take you to the ball Ava." He looked over at Aron who was paying more attention to his phone. "And I believe that Uncle Aron will take you to find a pair of shoes."
Aron's head shot up, "Who am I taking to get what?"
Brooklyn smirked at Aron and then pointed to Ava. "She needs a new pair of shoes for the father-daughter ball and you are being volunteered to take her shoe shopping."
"Whatever." He mumbled irritated.
I looked over at Brooklyn and asked, "How did you know about the father-daughter dance thing?" She shrugged and pointed at Ava.
Of course Ava would ask Brooklyn to help her plan this. "She wanted to do something special for George so I googled upcoming events and I managed to pull together enough money for the reservation fee."
"Well it seems like Ava really like you." I said and dropped my arm around her shoulders.
Her body stiffened when I pulled her closer to me. "What's wrong?" She shook her head and moved out from under my arm.
Huh that was odd, I thought as I watched her walk upstairs.
