December Special Twelve: Watching the Sunrise

A/N: Hey my amazing Greekies! Sorry for this one being late, I've been trying to focus a little bit more on school and my health and such, I hope you love it! It's pretty much entirely fluff, and I know you guys haven't been seeing much of Miranda, so here you go! The word count is 1.1k words, and the aesthetic above was created by -starsandshadows- and I love it.

ALSO, I AM SCREAMING BECUASE THEY'RE GIVING OUT INFORMATION ABOUT CASTING FOR THE PJO SERIES AND I AM SO SCARED BECAUSE AS SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BE AN ACTRESS SO BAD, THIS WILL BE THE PERFECT HEAD-START INTO MY CAREER, AND I'M SO EXCITED OMGS!

(Also, here's my dog to make up for the wait:)

Regulus groaned into his pillow as Miranda gently shook him awake. They had slept in the same bed that night -- his bed (his parents would've been shocked, they believed to wait until marriage to even sleep in the same bed, no doubt Miranda's parents thought so too) -- and Miranda was beside him.

Knowing Miranda though, she was probably all dressed and had her hair and makeup done. She was such an early bird who liked to look presentable all day, any day, whatever time of the day, (Regulus thought she looked presentable no matter what). While Regulus preferred late nights in, just practising magic or watching Miranda do something more interesting than whatever he was doing if she was still awake. Regulus opened up an eye and saw Miranda's face with that beautiful smile of hers.

Regulus couldn't help but smile at Miranda's happy face, but his smile became a little more strained when he heard what she had to say afterwards.

"Let's watch the sunrise together Reggie," Miranda whispered brightly, her wide eyes having an exciting shine in them.

Regulus just blinked quickly, "But, Andie, today's Monday, it's a school day, shouldn't we do that on the weekend?" He asked.

Miranda smirked, "Yes, but, if I woke you up this early on a weekend, you'd insist weekends are meant for sleeping in. If I'm using your logic, you'll never wake up to see the sunrise," she said knowingly.

Regulus sighed, "Fine, only because I love you," he said, and Miranda pressed a kiss to his cheek with a bright smile.

"Lovely, let's go," Miranda said, handing Regulus one of his many black coats and boots, and dragging him out of bed and to the balcony.

Regulus let himself be led by Miranda putting on his coat as he went. He noticed that she was already ready for class -- or anything for that matter. Not that he was surprised at all, but she had her Ravenclaw robes on (the latest and most fashionable edition is what she claimed. Regulus thought she looked nice in anything though) and a white fur coat that matched the scenery outside.

Miranda drew the pale pink blinds and opened the window, stepping out in the snow. Regulus heard the soft crunches as her feet landed on the black and pale pink marble balcony.

"Just wait," Miranda whispered as she leaned on the railing, Regulus copied her movements before he had an idea.

"Wait here," He said before running inside to get something.

"I'm not going anywhere!" Miranda called out after him.

Regulus rummaged around his things, looking for something. He looked through his trunk and found exactly what he was looking for. Regulus smiled in victory as he carefully held the object in his hands and quickly went out, carefully not to drop it or break it.

"Look," Regulus said happily as she showed Miranda the object.

"A victrola?" Miranda asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah," Regulus said, "I got it from Sirius as a gift about four years ago," Regulus' face fell in a sad smile as he thought about his brother. He had gotten it for his birthday, it had mysteriously shown up on his bed in the evening and had a little note with it that said, "Love ya - S.O.B," -- Sirius' initials. Regulus has been careful to hide it for his parents and quite liked playing with it. He had written a note back, a simple one; "It's nice. I love you. - R.A.B."

Of course, he wanted to say more than that, but he just couldn't. He stuck to playing sad music at night once Miranda's gone to sleep.

𝕸𝖎𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖆'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Miranda saw how Regulus' face fell when he mentioned Sirius. Miranda knew that Regulus still loved Sirius, no matter how much he claimed his brother was a blood traitor and didn't deserve his love, but Miranda knew he didn't care. Sirius was still his brother after all.

"Hey, play a song," Miranda said, pointing to the victrola, it might've slipped out of her mouth sounding more like an order (she was so used to sounding like that it must've been a habit form bossing around the Eagles too much). She realized the mistake about a millisecond after she said it, and was about to correct herself to sound nicer, but Regulus had already replied.

"Oh, yeah," Regulus said, gently placing the victrola in the corner of the balcony, the one closest to the entrance. He gently put the needle down, as if afraid to break it with one wrong move, then soft ballroom music started playing.

"What a lovely choice," Miranda said with a smile on her face as Regulus held out his hand.

"Will you dance with me?" Regulus asked, and Miranda chuckled.

"Of course," she said, taking Regulus' hand as he gently led her in a ballroom dance that they had done what seemed like a million times at various pure-blood balls.

Regulus led Miranda around in the snow, the only sounds being the crunching of the snow when they moved, and the soft music coming from the victrola. Miranda found it beautiful, and she saw how happy Regulus looked when dancing.

"Look at the sun," Miranda whispered, and Regulus looked over to where the sun was rising.

They still danced while looking at the gorgeous phenomenon that was the sunrise. It was pink at first -- the colour reflected off of the snow, then made way for orange and red tones. But seeing the sunrise wasn't the best part for Miranda, it was seeing how amazed Regulus was and how he looked like a child discovering something new.

Miranda smiled and pressed a soft kiss to Regulus' cheek as they danced -- albeit they were getting slower as the music slowly started to stop and as the sun started getting higher in the sky. But it was still graceful and beautiful in Miranda's opinion.

"Thank you," Regulus whispered, looking at Miranda in the eyes, "That was just amazing, thank you."

"I love you," Miranda said with a bright smile, "And you're welcome."

Regulus smiled, he gently tipped Miranda's chin up and pressed a kiss to her lips. Miranda smiled into the kiss, waking him up early was so worth it.

Question For Your OC: What's the first thing they'll do when they get to Asgard? (After Hel shows them around, of course, wouldn't want for them to get lost.)

Hel herself is going to take (drag) Sirius to the baths, she missed those lovely warm baths a ton. Sure she could go to the prefect bathroom, but it does not compare to the mythical feel of the Asgardian baths.

Characters Used in This Chapter:

Miranda Clark

Regulus Black
