December Special Thirteen: Cuddling in Front of the Fire

A/N: How are you doing my brilliant Greekies! (I am running out of adjectives oh my gods xD) I hope you're doing wonderfully! Not much to say about this chapter other than it's 1.5k words long and filled to the brim with fluff! Also, sorry for it being late, I was trying to post last night, but my laptop died 😅. The aesthetic above was created by -starsandshadows- and I'm so excited to finally use it!

Lily smiled contently as Elorie ran her fingers through Lily's hair. Elorie had already made practically a million remarks about Lily's hair being the same colour as the fire, and that her hair was utterly gorgeous, but Lily just laughed at them.

Lily had her head on Eloire's chest and Eloire had her fingers running through her hair. The two were just staring at the fire, and Lily was thinking. Personally, she was thinking about what was going to happen on holiday break, of course, she was going to the Potter's for Christmas, but her sister would refuse to go, she just knew it. Tuney didn't love her anymore, it was a sad truth she had to face. As for Elorie, she barely ever knew what was going on in her girlfriend's brain, never.

That's right, they were girlfriends, and Lily couldn't help but smile at the thought. They had gotten together right at the end of their trip to Asgard, and had managed to keep it a secret from everyone else for a while. How one went from being arch enemies to friends, then to lovers, Lily had no idea, but she loved it, and she loved Elorie.

Knowing Eloire's loud mouth and her tendency to want to talk and vent to her friends, Lily knew they wouldn't be a secret for long, she just hoped that the first person who figured it out wasn't a blabbermouth. Like James or Sirius for example, Lily didn't think they could keep such tea like hers secret for long.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Eloire said as she gently curled Lily's hair in her fingers.

"Oh you know, the fact that we're in a secret relationship that I love," Lily said in a slightly ditsy voice, it just happened when she was tired. She was an early bird, not a night owl, the fact that she was able to stay up past eleven on this particular night was a miracle in itself. As much a miracle as Lily waking Eloire up before seven.

Eloire just chuckled before pressing a tiny kiss to Lily's head, just a brush of the lips. Lily smiled and looked back into the fire, she did love their relationship, she hoped nothing would get in the way of it. Whether that be homophobes, the Dark Ones, the freaking Wizarding War that was basically against people like Lily and Elorie -- she wasn't oblivious -- or scariest of all, their very protective friends who wanted the best or them. Lily just wanted to be happy and in love with Elorie forever, she hoped that wasn't too much to ask for. Was it? Hopefully, the fates or the gods or God or whoever was watching them at the moment would let them be in peace for at least a while.

She loved her relationship, and Eloire, she hoped that was clear enough. She always thought she hated the YOLO thing, but maybe she just hated the idea of Elorie getting hurt form her reckless tendencies. But she did love how excited Elorie looked while trying a stunt, and the look of pure joy on her face from successfully doing something. Lily loved Eloire from her smile that lit up a room whenever she walked in it, to the dark brown eyes that reflected flames perfectly. Nevermind how crazy Lily's bright green eyes must've looked, Eloire's dark brown ones outshined hers in Lily's opinion.

Eloire grinned as she moved her hand from Lily's hair to her shoulder, pulling her closer to Eloire. She sure got lucky when she got Lily as her soulmate didn't she? Elorie thought that it was horrid when she heard her name from the sorting hat, but, it turned out, the hat was right, Lily really was her soulmate, and damn she'd fallen in love. So deep she wouldn't be able to get out, and she didn't want to.

She thought having Lil as her soulmate would be a nightmare, but, so far, the only "bad things" Lily's done to her, were wake her up early in the morning -- usually by accident while Lily herself is getting ready -- and stopping her from killing herself by doing stupid shit. Like backflip off the balcony and land precautiously on the edge of the balcony below (which was Miranda and Regulus' and she was clearly not welcome there). Lily got frustrated and tied a bunch of blankets together to make a makeshift harness and tied Eloire to the bed's headboard while she did homework. Unfortunately, it was very effective.

But Eloire loved Lily to bits, she loved how Lily always looked out for others, and maybe her goody-two-shoes attitude was just her being nice and caring. Eloire loved how Lily would speak he mind while being careful, and loved her bright green eyes that held a beautiful spark Eloire loved to see and wished would never go away. She loved her fiery red hair that always seemed to stay silky and looked just perfect with green clothes that Eloire loved to dress Lily up in, and loved how very contagious Lily's smile was and how it lit up her face to make it even more beautiful than it already was -- something Eloire didn't know could happen to such a gorgeous face.

"I love you ya know," Eloire said as she listened to Lily's soft breathing and watched as her head rose and fell in time with Elorie's own breathing.

"I love you too," Lily said, and Elorie saw her bright smile as she cuddled closer to Elorie.

Elorie smiled, she could stay up all night and to tomorrow if she wanted but Lily always had a harder time staying up late, unless she was hella drunk of course (Elorie had only witnessed a drunk Lily twice, and both times were engraved in her mind they were so hilarious). Judging on how groggily Lily was talking, and how her breathing was starting to even out, Elorie assumed her girlfriend was falling asleep.

Of course, they had class the next day, but hey, if they fell asleep cuddling by the fire and just so happened to be late for class, Elorie wouldn't mind. Lily might've minded, but they had herbology first in the morning, surely Professor Sprout wouldn't've minded if they showed up a tad bit late to her class.

Elorie heard Lily's breathing even out and figured she was asleep. Elorie pressed a kiss to Lily's forehead and, as the rule goes whenever someone fell asleep on you, tried to stay as still as possible. Which, for Elorie, wasn't that still, but she tried.

"Remus, are you there?" A certain voice called out, and Elorie froze in terror for a moment as her mind raced to figure out the voice, the fact that she even had to think about it for a moment was insane.

Lily abruptly pulled her head up and her eyes widened, "Shoot," she whispered as she looked over Elorie.

Coming through the staircase was Pandora, who, Elorie guessed was looking for Remus.

"Are you in the library?" Pandora asked, seemingly to herself, then saw Elorie and Lily cuddling by the fire, "Oh--" she said as her eyes widened, but then her smile widened, "Oh I knew it!" she whisper-shouted, "You two are dating aren't you?"

Lily sighed, "At least Pan's the one to figure out," she muttered then put on a sweet smile, "Yeah. we are, but it's supposed to be a secret."

"Yup, a big secret ya know?" Elorie said, and Pandora just chuckled.

"Understood lovebirds, just be careful, the Dark Ones are still out there, and you two are their ideal meals. Also, have you seen Remus?" Pandora asked.

Elorie thought back to when she saw Remus sneak off somewhere, judging on the bag of books in his hands, he was probably going to the library.

"The library," Elorie said a tad bit louder than she intended.

"Thanks, but you'd better get to bed, we have classes tomorrow," Pandora said smiling before leaving.

"She's right you know," Lily said as she got up, she held out her hand for Elorie to take, "Let's go."

Elorie smiled as she took Lily's hand, "Fine," she said as she got up and kissed Lily, "Let's go."
