December Special Fifteen: Christmas Fair

A/N: Hullo my magnificent Greekies! How are you? I hope you're perfectly perfect! (If you've seen my feed, you know that I accidentally came out to my cousin, thankfully, we're good, but I came out in the worst way ever in my opinion, so if you want a story, I can tell you). There is no aesthetic, but my dumbarse forgot that most people don't just have a 1977 calendar laying around, so that's the calendar I'm using! The new red circle is for the New Moons, that'll be important a little later on. This chapter is 6.9k words long and is styled more like the normal chapters with a bit of a plot kind of feel to it, I hope you enjoy!

Elorie's Point of View:

Elorie muttered some random, incoherent words under her breath as she woke up and poked one eye open. The sun was barely even up and Lily accidentally woke up Elorie by dropping her books on the floor.

Elorie saw Lily's wide eyes and Lily nervously chuckled, "Sorry love, go back to sleep, classes don't start for another two hours," she said as she put the book in her bag, coming over to press a kiss to Elorie's forehead.

"No, stay," Elorie said, only about a fourth of the way awake as she yanked on Lily's arm, causing the book bag to fall to the floor with a loud thump (probably waking up Miranda and Regulus in the process, whoops, sorry) as Lily landed in bed beside her.

Lily just yelped softly and her fiery red hair landed on both her and Elorie's faces. Elorie chuckled, she blew the hair from out of her face and Lily gathered her hair all to one side.

"Elorie, I've got to get to breakfast," Lily whispered, brushing her hair out of her face.

Elorie noticed she missed a few strands, and tucked those behind her ear for her, "No, stay," she said as she started fiercely cuddling Lily, stuffed her face in Lily's chest.

Lily laughed and brushed her fingers through Elorie's wild hair, "Okay fine, ten more minutes, but then I have to go," she said as she pressed a kiss on top of Elorie's head.

"An hour," Elorie whined, her voice muffled by the fabric of Lily's shirt.

"An hour, no longer," Lily agreed as she ran her arms up and down Elorie's back.

Elorie noted that Lily smelled like lilies and honey, probably because the body wash she used was scented lilies and honey, but still, it was a nice and comforting scent you'd want to come home to every day. Elorie wrapped her arms around Lily's waist and practically fell back asleep in her arms.

Elorie felt Lily pet her head, and she had an idea as she changed into her animagus form, an Asian Fox. Elorie happily curled up next to Lily's stomach as Lily smiled and pet the top of Elorie's head all the way down to the tip of her very fluffy tail.

Elorie was content and was about to fall asleep before Lily seemed to have a brilliant idea since she leapt out of bed. Elorie poked her little fox head up with a frown on her face, but then she saw Lily bring out a comb.

Elorie yelped and hid under the covers, she could hear Lily walking towards her.

"Cmon Elorie, I'm going to make your coat nice and shiny," Lily said teasingly and Elorie just knew that she had a metal grooming comb in her hand.

Elorie howled as she leapt out of bed and started doing zoomies across the room so Lily couldn't catch her. Lily just laughed and, managed to corner Elorie as she swiped her up in her arms. Elorie made a fox noise of defeat and succumbed to Lily gently brushing out her coat.

𝕸𝖆𝖊𝖑𝖞𝖓'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Maelyn bounced into the Great Hall, sucking on a candy cane she found under her bed. She never questioned it, there was always candy under her bed, she didn't know how, or why, but there always was.

It was breakfast time according to her stomach clock, which means her stomach needed nourishment! A nice stack of pancakes would be made waffles or anything really.

Maelyn went over to the Slytherin table and finished her candy cane with a crunch as she started putting food on her plate at an excessive rate, it didn't matter, she always finished it. She just munched as everyone started trickling in, a few minutes later everyone was in the Great Hall, eating food.

Maelyn scrunched her pretty pale nose before looking up at the podium, where Headmaster Dumbledore just put himself.

"Hello, students! I'm honouring the holiday season, and the Christmas Fair going on over at Hogsmeade, we have decided to cancel all classes!" Dumbledore announces.

Everyone cheered and Maelyn heard banging on the tables, she smiled a bit though, no class was fine with her, she hated classes. Maelyn looked up and realized Dumbledore had more, to say, so she kept her mouth shut. Something she was quite good at, it was easier to freak people out that way.

"You all will be allowed or go to Hogsmeade, though, you must be careful, the Unnamed are still out there, preying on soulmates, other than that, have a splendid day! Have a butterbeer on me!" Dumbledore said before sitting down.

Maelyn still couldn't figure out why Dumbledore called the Dark Ones, the Unnamed. Hel said something about them not having a lot of research, and that she didn't want to bother the Headmaster. But Maelyn saw how confused she was back in October when Dumbledore talked about those things.

Maelyn hoped she could be the one to "discover" the Dark Ones you know, write a book about them and become a famous zoologist! Wouldn't that be fun? Just studying animals for a living, having her book about some Ancient Being trying to suck out the lives of soulmates being sold everywhere? That was Maelyn's dream, and she hoped she could live it.

Maelyn happily bounced over to Hel, who was just getting up away for, the Richie Riches, and heading to the exit.

"Hullo, my dear, what are you up to?" Hel asked as she put a book in her very expensive-looking leather satchel.

"Are you going to Hogsmeade?" Maelyn asked, not feeling the small talk.

"Of course I am. I might participate in the fair things, or perhaps I'll ditch the other purebloods and snog Sirius senseless in a back alleyway, or perhaps I'll just get some last-minute gifts, you?" Hel asked.

"Do you need someone to eat your extra candy?" Maelyn asked.

Hel just chuckled, "Sure, come on, I'm sure the other purebloods would be delighted, as even if they're not, I can hex them into being frightened. First I have to go change, do you wanna go along first? I'll shadow travel to the entrance of Hogwarts in a moment."

Maelyn happily bounced along, then she realized maybe she should change and bounced in the direction Hel was going. Yes, she bounced. Walking for normal people.

𝕳𝖆𝖗𝖑𝖊𝖞'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Harley shrugged on a black leather jacket as Severus brushed his fingers through his hair. Harley wondered why he started doing that, it happened since October, strange, but Harley didn't mind, he looked kind of cute.

Severus brought his hand back to his book — Harley wasn't sure if they should be jealous of it or not, even if they and Severus were just friends — as they walked to Hogsmeade. Harley's black combat boots crunched on the snow as she walked by Severus, who had much shorter and lighter strides.

"Why are we going to fucking Hogsmeade anyway?" Harley asked, throwing an arm around Severus.

"You said you wanted some Christmas food and maybe get into a fight with, well, some homophobic bitch I think is what you said," Severus said, and Harley swore they could feel his heart beat faster or something like that.

"Damn, That makes sense," Harley said as they saw the entrance in the distance, and ew, colourful Christmas lights.

You know, black and white Christmas lights wouldn't hurt you, neither would just plain old white ones, or heck, silver! Not those, disgusting, red blue green and yellow ones, they were so bright and in your face — like James Potter.

"Yeah, we can go back to the castle in about thirty minutes," Severus said, and Harley looked at him a little confused.

"And why the fuck would we do that?" They asked.

"Because I know you can't stand large crowds for over a half an hour," Severus mumbled, and Harley raised their eyebrows in surprise.

That was a fact about them that most people didn't know, well, Severus knew of course. Severus knew the weird little things about Harley that no one knew about, like their snow globe collection that they keep by their bed because staring at the globes clams them. Also, the fact that they can't stand large crowds.

"Alright, where to first?" Harley asked as they looked around, they didn't really want to buy anything, but at the same time didn't want to be wandering around like some idiot.

"Well, you could get in a bar fight with that weirdo who called you a hot girl with a fat ass yesterday at dinner," Severus suggested, "Didn't he also say that being gay wasn't a thing and that Demisexuality was weird and that he wanted to shag your arse?" He asked, and Harley shrugged.

"Yeah the fucker did, nice idea Sev," Harley said before heading to the Three Broomsticks, intending to kick someone's ass so hard, the dude wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

𝕻𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖔𝖗𝖆'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

"Hey! Should we go get some holiday Hershey kiss cookies? I've heard the ones at the fair taste the best," Pandora said smiling.

Remus grinned and wrapped his arm around Pandora's waist, "Why not? Although, I'm sure it doesn't even begin to compare with yours."

Pandora smiled and pressed a kiss to Remus' lips, she had to crane up a tad bit, but Remus leaned down which made kissing him a lot easier. Pandora had noted that Remus seems to be acting a lot more, well, how would she say this, like he was trying to butter her up for something. It was just a little feeling she had, but maybe she could've been wrong and it was just the holiday spirit.

"Hey, have you guys seen Declan?" James asked.

"Your boyfriend?" Sirius and Pandora both teased good-naturedly.

"Oh hush," James said, his face bright red.

Everyone laughed and Pandora spotted Declan window shopping for, well, she couldn't really tell from her view.

"Over there! Your boyfriend's over there James!" Pandora said, and James just stuck his tongue out at her before running off.

"Don't forget to snog him senseless in an alleyway!" Sirius yelled before wrapping one arm around Remus' neck and one around Peter's. Pandora saw there was quite a bit of leaning happened when Sirius did that but decided to just keep walking. Elorie then jumped on Sirius' back, and Sirius yelped in surprise before steadying himself and Elorie. Pandora laughed at the two being crazy, there was a reason she loved both of them.

They came up to a small shop and Pandora went in, getting a small batch of cookies and paying before coming out to see a black dog gnawing on a bench, a rat on Remus' shoulder and an Asian fox in Remus' lap.

Pandora sighed and laughed in disbelief, "I left you alone for five minutes!"

Remus raised his hands in surrender, "In my defence, we were left without adult supervision."

Pandora shook her head, "You are all adults!"

"And we were left without adult supervision!"

Pandora just sighed again before sitting down on the bench beside Sirius' head, Remus scooted beside her with Peter on his shoulder and Elorie in his lap. Pandora smiled as she pet Padfoot's head, gently stroking back his fur from his eyes and scratching behind his ear, which led to a very happy little brother. Granted, he was older than her, but that didn't mean he still acted like the younger brother.

"You all are lucky that I love you," Pandora said with a smile on her face before giving a cookie to Remus, "But dogs can't eat chocolate, and I don't think rats can either, or foxes for that matter."

Padfoot whined, Wormtail squeaked, and Coaleye howled. Peter scurried over to Sirius and grabbed into his fur with his tiny little paws, Elorie leapt off of Remus' lap and the three disappeared somewhere to turn back into their human forms so that they could have chocolate cookies.

Pandora smiled and watched them as far as she could, hoping they didn't get into trouble. Once they were out of sight, Pandora turned back to Remus. She smiled and opened the bag of cookies, practically moaning at the scent of them. The bakery always made them fresh, and especially during the Christmas Fair, they made sure they came straight from the oven.

Pandora took one out of the bag and turned to Remus, "Say ahh," Pandora said.

"Ahh," Remus said with a grin and Pandora gave him a bite of the cookie, taking a bit herself. Remus moaned at the taste, and swallowed, "I still think yours are better," he said.

Pandora rolled her eyes with a smile on her face, "Of course you do love."

"COOKIEEEEEEEESSSSSS!" Sirius screeched as Pandora saw him running for the cookies.

"Did he lose his hat?" Pandora asked, "Mum's going to be disappointed."

"You left him without supervision," Remus said in Sirius' defence, shrugging and Pandora just laughed.

𝕯𝖊𝖈𝖑𝖆𝖓'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Declan mumbled about half a million curses under his breath as he put his hands in his pockets and looked around the Christmas fair. Why did he decide that coming out of his dorm room was a good idea? No clue, other than the fact that James was at the fair of course.

Declan just looked around at the different booths and wondered if James was looking for him, he probably was. Declan just blended in with the crowd, good luck to James if he wanted to find Declan, he wasn't that easy to find if-

"Boo!" a loud voice said behind him and Declan groaned turning around. Seriously, if James thought that he could scare Declan by yelling boo, he was going to have to think of something a tad bit more creative with that mind if his. Perhaps Sirius has his brain cell at the moment, or maybe there was a real good reason that Remus was the mastermind behind almost all of the Marauder pranks.

"Seriously James, boo is so childish," Declan said, turning around, but saw no one.

Declan furrowed his eyebrows together then rolled his eyes, he walked over to an alleyway and bent over to pick up some snow. He gathered a ton of snow in his arms and then threw it behind him.

A surprised yelp came out from what seemed like thin air as the shape of what looked like a ghost appeared. The "ghost" shook off the snow and took off the cloak, revealing a pouting James Potter.

"Aww, man! I was supposed to scare you!" James pouted as he folded up his invisibility cloak and stuffed it in a pocket. His glasses were a little crooked from taking off the cloak, so James adjusted them with a push of the finger.

Declan just rolled his eyes, "You're going to have to do better than boo just to scare me," he said before crossing his arms and looking James in the eye as if challenging him, and, in a way, Declan kind of was challenging him.

James just pouted before the little light in his eyes shone brighter and he threw the invisibility cloak over to him and Declan, causing Declan to be startled a bit and cringe away, but James adjusted the cloak so that it covered both of them comfortably.

"Fine, if I can't scare you, can I kiss you?" James asked, "And I've already taken care of your parents spying minions so.." he added quickly.

Declan scoffed, "Oh no, it isn't like we're completely invisible to the outside eyes and can do practically whatever we want under this cloak!" He said sarcastically.

"Is that a yes?" James asked, and Declan replied by pulling James down to press a kiss to his lips.

Declan could feel James smile against his lips as he opened his mouth slowly, effectively snogging James. Declan felt James' hands make their way to his waist and Declan wrapped his arms around James' neck.

Declan pulled away and had a thought, "Don't you have a potions essay due at the end of the day that you haven't started yet?" He asked and James frowned.

"I can do that in an hour, my dad and grandfather are literally potion masters, I think I got this. Plus I have you, you're a genius," James said in a matter of faculty tone.

Declan just chuckled a little honoured that James had called him a genius. He had kept James up late more than one night by the weird explosion noises coming from his side of the room, "Thank you for the compliment, but I'm not going to do the essay for you."

James just shrugged clearly he knew that "Never said you would, can we go back to snogging please?"

Declan just rolled his eyes, "How about we take this back to the castle? You stay under the cloak, and no ones going to question me walking alone back to the castle."

James agreed a tad bit too eagerly, which made Declan shake his head as he got out from under the invisibility cloak. He happily welcomed the cold winter air as he walked back to Hogwarts. Declan heard the crunching of the snow beneath his feet as they got away from the crowds, but also heard a second pair of feet disrupting the snow as well, when he looked down though, there were no footprints. He smirked, at least James knew how to cover his tracks.

𝕺𝖑𝖎𝖛𝖎𝖆'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Olivia giggled as she, Lily, Marlene, Frank and Alice all got peppermint candy floss. Marlene quickly excused herself when she saw her soulmate and ran over there to go share her big fluff of candy floss with her.

"So, what do you guys want for Christmas?" Alice asked, probably trying to figure out what to get her friends.

Olivia shrugged as she peeled a bit of candy floss from her stick, "Dunno, probably just dresses and jewellery or that sort of thing."

"And a good snog from Rosier," Alice teased and Olivia blushed slightly.

"Oh hush Allie," Olivia said rolling her eyes, "What about you?"

"I kind of want bows, maybe some cute outfits? I haven't a clue, I'll be happy to get anything really, " she said with her signature Alice smile, then Lily chimed in.

"I think I want flowers, vases, jewellery, that sort of thing, maybe some books? I dunno, what about you Frank?" She asked.

Frank looked up from where he was bubbling on a piece of candy floss. The small crew had just found a little table by an ice cream shop and decided to sit there for the time being.

"I don't know, I kind of want a frog," Frank said, shrugging.

Olivia smiled then looked around, hoping to maybe spot a certain someone. Unfortunately, she didn't find him, not that she expected to, they were in the happy area of Hogsmeade, the heart of the Christmas fair. Not where Evan and his friend usually hung out, but Olivia had her own friends, her life didn't revolve around Evan.

Olivia just plucked off some more candy floss as she heard the conversations around her. Most of them were about Christmas, the typical fun holiday talk about plans, presents, family, the whole lot.

Olivia herself was going back home to her dads, she missed them a ton and just couldn't wait to be able to come home to them again. Maybe she'd sneak out to go and see Evan -- if he could even sneak out -- but she'd probably just spend her Christmas with her family.

Olivia made a weird noise as she realized that her parents hadn't met Evan yet. Of course, Olivia knew that they'd love him since she's never thought home a boy before, but there was just that tiny fact that Evan was probably going to be a Death Eater because that's what his parents wanted him to be. Yeah, that'd be a bit awkward to explain.

Olivia herself, obviously, did not want to be a Death Eater, rather, she wanted to help fight against You-Know-Who. She had heard rumours around school about the Order of the Phoenix, a secret organization that fought against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, and hoped she could join.

Olivia hoped she could steer Evan away from the Dark Magic, hopefully, bring him to the side of good, but, based on his family and all, there was a slim chance of that happening. Olivia just wished that she didn't have to fight against him.

"Olivia," Alice sang, "Are you there Liv?"

Olivia blinked rapidly, there she went with her problems again, she really had to stop that, "I'm here!" She said.

"Great! They're ice skating over there, and I wanna go, do you?" Alice asked excitedly, and Olivia just smiled.

"Sure, c'mon!" She yelled excitedly as she threw her candy floss stick away in a nearby rubbish bin and headed over to the rink.

𝕿𝖍𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖆'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Thalia smiled as she walked around Hogsmeade with her friends, she had intended to stay back and maybe read a good book, but Kaitlyn had managed to drag her to Hogsmeade at the promise of special Christmas sales for holiday books due to the fair. Plus Madam Rosmerta probably had her special Christmas booth set up.

Thalia held on closely to her new bag that had a few books in it already. Rabastan had decided that since Thalia was now his girlfriend, he had permission to bury Thalia in presents, which meant that she got about a bookshelf amount of new books, a new bookbag, about a million different fancy bookmarks, jewellery, practically anything that Rabstan thought fit to give her. She was completely and utterly embarrassed the day before, but she thought it was sweet, so she just smiled and blushed through it.

Thalia played around with her new necklace, a simple silver chain with an owl pendant on it, she loved it, but it was even better because Rabstan got it for her.

She walked over to where Madam Rosmerta's Christmas Fair booth was and saw the usuals to the coffeeshop were already in a line. Thalia looked over to Kaitlyn and her soulmate (Thalia was sure that Kaitlyn had basically latched onto her soulmate at this point) and nodded over to the line. Kaitlyn smiled and went over to the line, and Thalia popped open one of her new books (a book called Stepsister) and started reading.

"Hey Thals, where's your soulmate, Rabastan?" Kaitlyn asked.

"Hmm?" Thalia asked, "Oh, he's presumably off amidst his Death Eater friends, you know, because he's interested in Dark Magic and all," she said, and it was probably true. Rabastan probably was with Oliva's soulmate, Evan, in their little Dark Magic group at the not-so-Christmassy part of town.

"Oh, that's sad, isn't he dating some pureblood girl?" Kaitlyn asked.

Thalia managed to keep a straight face, "Yeah, he is."

"Aw, that's sad, I thought you fancied him," Kaitlyn said as they got closer to the front.

"Of course I did," Thalia said, "Yet you don't fancy someone endlessly if they don't fancy you back right?"

Kaitlyn shrugged, "I guess," they were almost to the front, "What do you want? I'll pay."

Thalia looked at the front menu, there was a surprise fruity Christmas drink that looked interesting, "Third one on the Christmas menu," she said.

"Brilliant," Kaitlyn said as she pulled out her money bag, "Hey after you graduate Hogwarts, have you heard of the rumour going around?"

Thalia raised an eyebrow, "Oh yes, I, of course, know about the exact rumour you're talking about because there aren't over a million rumours floating throughout Hogwarts," she said sarcastically.

Kaitlyn pouted, "The one about the," she looked from side to side and her voice dropped to a low whisper, "The Order of the Phoenix."

Thalia blinked rapidly, "I beg your pardon?" she asked. She hadn't heard of something like that, maybe she was just too stuck in her own little book and study world.

Kaitlyn was about to answer, but then it was their turn to order their drinks. Kaitlyn looked to Madam Rosermta and got their drinks, then they went over to a quaint little bench to sit and sip on their drinks.

"The Order of the Phoenix, Thals, you really need to get out more," Kaitlyn said as she blew on her hot cocoa.

"Oh no, it isn't like I worry about my grades and that I have higher things on my list of priorities than my social life," Thalia said sarcastically as she swirled her drink around. She laid her book in her lap as her eyes quickly read through the words.

"Well, it's like a secret organization against the Death Eaters and You-Know-Who, with Aurors and stuff, they're super powerful and I hear they're going to win the war for our side," Kaitlyn whispered.

Thalia thought about it, that did seem good, fighting so that everyone wouldn't live in a You-Know-Who ruled place. If You-Know-Who did rule, people like Thalia would be executed on the spot and she quite liked being alive you know? The only downside? She'd have to fight against Rabastan, she knew she couldn't possibly do that.

"How intriguing, perhaps I will join," Thalia said as she took a sip of her drink, "Perhaps."

𝕸𝖎𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖆'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Miranda smiled as she led the Eagles, her flock, around. Regulus was off doing Death Eater things with the other pureblood boys, which left Miranda with the Eagles, looking at fashion.

"Ew! Andie! Do you see that? So last year," One girl said and Miranda snickered.

"You are so right! I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that!" Miranda exclaimed with a swish of her brand new robes she had gotten in September, but saved for winter. That was the latest and most gorgeous fashion; her fashion.

One of the girls noticed a little French boutique which Miranda knew about, it always had the newest, latest, and most beautiful wizarding fashion. The French really knew what they were doing when it came to cloth! Just gorgeous! Much like herself.

"Andie! Should we go in? They have a new style of robes!" The girl said and Miranda smirked.

"Why of course, we want to be beautiful, do we not? Not that it takes much for me to look stunning of course," Miranda said in typical rich bitch fashion. She giggled as she put a gloved hand to her neck to show off her expensive jewellery to everyone who would notice.

The girls went in and Miranda looked around, mostly just waiting for the other girls to ask for her fashion advice, and lo and behold, they did. Miranda smirked as she pointed out what looked good and what didn't. They came to her because followers always went to their leaders, and what was Miranda? That's right, she was the leader, and oh did she love being the head bitch.

𝕳𝖊𝖑'𝖘 𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖁𝖎𝖊𝖜:

Hel managed to sneak away from the rest of the purebloods (not that it was hard, all she had to do was find a nicely placed shadow and bam, she was gone). She had managed to stray away from the Christmas fair, and to the outskirts of town, where most of the Death Eaters Just happened to meet up.

As for her and Maelyn, Maelyn left ages ago for lunch and never came back, Hel assumed she was happily swinging off a chandelier, eating a burger or something without worrying about dropping sauce all over the person below her. (Although Hel was sure she didn't care regardless.)

Hel sighed, she didn't know what she should do about the whole Death Eater thing — or just life after Hogwarts for that matter. Little ten-year-old Hel never thought she would make such good friends, much less find her soulmate, she never thought she'd have dysphoria about going back to home to Asgard and continuing her studies there or even being queen. She always thought that she'd love to be queen for the rest of her life right after Hogwarts, but, after meeting people like Lily, Pandora, Sirius, and heck, even dear Maelyn, she was having second thoughts.

Hel wondered if she could help with the Wizarding War, hopefully, she could. She wouldn't be able to do much, seeing as she was a goddess and there were now rules against the gods meddling with the mortals (Hel mostly blamed the Trojan War), but since she was technically still a fledgeling, maybe she could bend the rules a bit? She really hoped so.

Hel walked around and came across a little group of future Death Eaters, she sighed and pulled out her wand, ready for anything.

"Hey! Your highness!" One of the boys called out. Hel couldn't tell if he was catcalling her, or just using her title, "Could you come over here and show us some real magic."

Hel internally groaned, but kept a regal look on her face, "Dark magic I presume?" she asked in an unimpressed tone, "Or can I just shadow travel away from you mortals and that would be called real magic."

The boy grinned, "Dark magic."

Hel spoke a few curses in her head without showing it on her face. Necromancy then she'd raise a rat or something like that.

Obviously, everyone said that Necromancy didn't work, in Hel's opinion, you just had to pray to the right god -- or goddess in her case. Or you could just practise it for a long time without the ministry knowing. Luckily for Hel, she was a Death Goddess, which means death magic came easy to her.

Hel tried to channel her godly magic through the wand as she mumbled a few spell words under her breath, she aimed her wand at the ground and smiled when a dead rat came back.

The Death Eaters practically oohed and awed with their curious eyes. Hel just held back the urge to roll her eyes and put her wand back in its pocket.

"Dark enough for you?" She asked but didn't wait for an answer, she started striding back to the main village, and, out of a tiny habit she recently developed, started rubbing both Sirius and Loki's necklaces.

Hel rubbed the necklace in thought, could she somehow become a spy for the good guys? She's seen the Dark Mark on people's inner arms, she knew she couldn't possibly get one because, well, no matter how much mortal magic went into it, it would always heal up. As long as the Death Eaters thought she was on their side, she would be fine, right? Well obviously, she was a bloody Death Goddess! They had to believe she was on their side.

But then again, she would have to abandon her duties on Asgard, and Helheim for that matter. She would have to learn on Asgard, learn how to be a Queen, if she got caught in the Wizarding War, then it might be years before she could be taught the queenly ways on Asgard.

Hel mumbled random words under her breath, maybe she'd have a schedule where every other day she would go to Midgard and Asgard? Or maybe weeks? What was she going to do?

Hel heard a tiny crack, the sound of someone apparating, and immediately whipped out her wand, she felt her hand leave the necklace involuntarily as she gently cupped it as if waiting for a pool of godly energy to form there if she had to.

"It's just me," someone said, and Hel sighed half in relief, half because she had been holding a breath in.

"Sorry," Hel said as she walked to Sirius, "I didn't expect you to actually come here, especially to this part of town," she explained as she started walking back to Hogsmeade, Sirius following her.

"Well, I mean, I felt you were stressed and I thought you were in trouble," Sirius admitted shrugging, and Hel smiled.

"Well, I can assure you that I am safe and sound," Hel said, and she wasn't lying. No one around there dared to harm her, one look at the dead side of her face and most of them didn't even dare look at her. She quite liked the feeling though, the power, was that bad?

Sirius just grinned and then a film seemed to go over his eyes. Hel furrowed her brows in confusion as Sirius slowly turned around, facing the direction they came.

"Sirius? Sirius?" Hel said urgently, she had only seen Sirius like this with the Dark Ones, but those creatures were at Hogwarts in the forest, right?

"Hush child, open your eyes you are not alone we are your Dark Ones holding you close," The enchanting song of the Dark Ones faintly sang, and Hel's eyes widened. They were getting more powerful.

Hel looked around quickly and saw that only a few people were affected, and judging on how soft the song was, the Dark Ones weren't that close. Hel quickly grabbed Sirius' arm and shadow-travelled away. She wanted to find somewhere where he could be at least a bit safe and decided the best idea would be to leave him with the Marauders. Hel shadow-travelled to the first bakery she thought of and when she arrived she looked around, hoping to spot about four idiots and Pandora.

Hel mumbled, "Thank goodness," When she saw Pandora and quickly dragged Sirius over to her, who had snapped out of the trance since the song couldn't be heard from the heart of town.

"Pandora," Hel said, then realized that they were short one idiot, she wouldn't've had meant much though, except for the fact it was one of the idiots not affected by the Dark Ones, "The Dark Ones are getting more powerful, you can hear them at the edge of town," Hel said in an urgent tone.

Pandora's eyes widened, "I thought they weren't that powerful yet," she whispered then grabbed Sirius and made him sit down by Remus, "Sirius, you still have the mirror right?"

Sirius scrunched his eyebrows together, "Yeah, why?" he asked.

"Get the mirror out," Pandora said sternly.

Sirius brought a small mirror out from his robes and handed it to Pandora, "I really don't see why you need it, but," Sirius started rambling, then stopped when he realized, "Oh," he muttered.

Pandora just looked into the mirror, "JAMES POTTER!" She yelled and Hel heard what sounded like someone falling out of a bed, Pandora just smirked. She turned to face the others, "Stay here," she said in a much softer tone, "you all are affected, and, personally, I'd like your happiness, souls, and bodies to stay intact," she explained before turning to Hel.

Hel got the idea and grabbed onto Pandora's wrist, shadow-travelling them to the edge of town. Hel saw Pandora gasp a little bit when they arrived and scoffed in good nature. Such a person like Pandora would probably never get used to shadow-travelling.

"What Panda!" James whined from the other side of the mirror.

"The Dark Ones," Pandora said, and Hel heard silence from the other side of the mirror.

"Alright fine, the stuff is in Sirius' room right?" James said and Hel grabbed the mirror.

"Yes, it's in my jewellery box, get only one or I will hurt you. Also, I think Maelyn's in the common room. BRING. HER," Hel said sternly, and then gave the mirror to Pandora.

Hel would really curse James if he didn't bring Maelyn, Hel knew good and well that Maelyn wanted to be the one to "discover" the Dark Ones, and Hel had every intention of letting her. She could probably make a career out of it if she wanted, and Hel was good with that, she thought it was kind of sweet in a way.

"We're at the edge of town," Pandora said before putting the mirror in her bag, "I can't hear it," she said softly, and as if on cue the Dark Ones started singing again.

"Come dance with us, dance in the darkness, we've been waiting for you," they sang, and Hel had to admit that their singing got better.

"I do now," Pandora said then turned to Hel, "The gifts from Hestia, they're supposed to repel them for at least an hour right?"

Hel nodded, on their trip to Asgard, the little group who knew about the Dark Ones (Herself, Sirius, Pandora, Remus, Peter, James, Declan, Maelyn, Harley and Severus. Hel was sure Thalia and Rabstan caught them mulling over books in the library, but the two had never asked about it) visited Hestia, and she told them the backstory she knows and gave them gifts. Three rock cases used to repel the Dark Ones and silence them for at least an hour.

Hel heard a crack and whipped around to find a bouncing redhead, an idiot, and a genius, how lovely. Hel looked for the rock case and found it clutched in James' hand. Hel made sure no one was looking at them before snatching the rock out of James' hand and looking at it.

"Okay, here's the deal, they're getting more powerful right?" Hel said and everyone agreed, then Hel heard the crunching of snow behind them and whispered around. She sighed in relief when she saw Harley and Severus, "And now you're here, lovely," she mumbled before going back to the leadership role she was born for.

"Here's the plan, they don't like us, but they'll still devour us if they have to. We'll lead them deep in the forest, and then crack the rock near them, it'll make them weak for a while, so it'll take a bit for them to get back, good plan?" Hel asked, though, she wasn't asking more directing, "Now do you mind holding onto each other? I'll shadow travel you all there."

Everyone agreed (albeit a few reluctant) and Hel shadow-travelled them to the Forbidden Forest, closer to the sound of the creatures. Hel held the rock in her hand and examined it for a moment as they walked closer to the voices. The rock had the symbol of Elpis, the greek hope, on it, and Hel knew she'd have to speak an ancient language to open it up. Ideally, it would be Ancient Greek, but Hestia told Hel it would settle for Ancient Norse if she tried it.

"That world doesn't want you like we do, we see you, for, in the night, fire shines bright," they sang, and Hel could see the faint outline of three old hags in tattered robes.

"Damn they're so ugly," Harley mumbled under their breath.

"No kidding," James added.

"I'll slit your fucking throat, don't try me you little bitch," Harley replied -- clearly till angry about the little bet yesterday -- which shut James up pretty quick.

"Just remember as much as you can about them, we can add it to the notes Maelyn has later," Hel said before walking towards the Dark Ones, their focus went to Hel and Hel motioned for the others to lead the Dark Ones deeper in the forest as Hel started unlocking the rock using Ancient Nordic words.

"Why fight the night when the night is endless? Why cling to the light when the light always diminishes?" The Dark Ones sang out, and Hel found it was like an earworm, honestly, the song was pretty catchy.

The incantation was quite long, after all, it needed to be so that only someone fluent in an ancient language could unlock the rock, which made sense to Hel. They got deep enough in the forest that Hel couldn't tell where the trees stopped or where the sky began, or even if the sun was still out. She whispered the last few words and rolled the rock to the Dark Ones, luckily, they were too busy with the others to see, and a blinding yellow light spurted out of the rock and surrounded the Dark Ones.

"Come let's leave this world behind, dance with the dark ones in your mind, come let's leave them all behind. Dance with the dark ones. Dance with the dark ones," they sang, but then they started clutching their throats, the enchanting song stopped and the Dark Ones fell to their knees, hissing and sputtering at everyone.

Hel made a face at them, "Let's get out of here," she said, she was tempted to put a please at the end because the Dark Ones looked like they might just rip Hel to pieces with their bare hands and Hel shadow-travelled everyone away.

They got back to the small little bakery, and the boys (plus Elorie, though Hel was sure she wouldn't mind being called one of the boys) came over.

"So?" Remus asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We're fine for now, but we really need to start working on a way to stop them, they're getting more powerful," Hel explained, but then everyone gave her sad looks, "After the holidays," she sighed.

Question For Your OC: How do they act around the gods?

Well, obviously, Hel treats the Norse Pantheon like family except for Odin, he's an arse to her). As for the Greeks, most of them she respects and loves, especially goddesses like Persephone, Athena, Artemis and Hestia, and some she does not, like Zeus. As for God himself, Hel thinks he's a narcissist little biatch. For the Romans, the same as the Greeks, and the others she doesn't know good enough.
