Shraddha

Me and Siddharth were sat in red, comfy chairs just opposite the Commissioner. He had his arms crossed and he was leaning back into his chair.

"So you really want to bail him out?" He asked with a skeptical look on his face.

"Yes," I nod.

"Even after everything which has happened?" He leaned forward, his arms now resting before him.

"Um, yeah"

He regards me and gives me a long, hard look, "why?"

"Because... I still love him,"

I resisted my temptation to look at Siddharth, I knew he was stating at me with those chocolatey eyes burning through my skin, "and when you love someone... you forgive them and I want t clear the misunderstanding between us,"

He nods, very low but heavy nods.

"How much do you have?"

When I heard those words, my heart hit my ribs and I gulped. I slowly began taking off my gold accessories one by one.

Author's POV

"There's no need," someone said in a low, hoarse voice. He coughed a few times and everyone stopped moving, maybe even breathing.

Slowly, Shraddha turned in her chair to see the dreaded look of Varun's face.

"Why don't you just let me rot away in peace!?" Varun fumed, "You have him, your baby!" You could see the anger visible in him and everyone gasped.

"I thought he was tour husband," the commissioner drummed his fingers in the table.

"He is," Shraddha replied.

"Then why are you pregnant with Siddharth's baby!?" Varun joined.

"I-I..." she stuttered and picked up her crutches and instead of answering, she fled out the room and let out a heart-wrenching sob.

Siddharth also started leaving after her but Varun grabbed a good of his collar, "First Alia and no Shraddha!? Why do you hate me so much?" The police behind Varun held a firn hand of Varun to stop him from doing anything dangerous.

"Listen, she isn't pregnant with my baby! I'm all Alia's and Alia is all mine so get out of my way!"
