Early that morning, while it was still dark out, Audrey woke up covered in sweat with Zuri hanging over her with a concerned face. “Audrey? Are you okay? You were thrashing and crying, nightmare?”

“Yeah.. nightmare..” Audrey muttered.

“It usually helps to talk about them. What did you dream?” Zuri sat down in front of Audrey and rubbed her hand.

“There were sirens.. police cars and an ambulance.. there was flashing and it was blurry, and there were a lot of people. I pushed past them but woke up before I could see who was hurt.”

“It's okay, it was a dream,” Zuri hugged her.

“Yeah, I know. Just a dream..” Audrey rubbed her eyes.

“Go back to sleep, it's four in the morning,” Zuri smiled and rubbed her back.

“Thanks Zuri, you're the best,” Audrey have her a hug then they both laid back down.

“I know I am, what would you do without me?” Zuri chuckled.

“Have more space on the bed, make room!” Audrey pushed Zuri to the side.

“Aw, so mean.”

“Go to sleep, silly.”

Zuri hit Audrey with a pillow then closed her eyes.

Audrey looked over at the clock, 4:13 am it read. “Why can't I just have a full night of sleep?” She muttered.

“Because you stay up late too much. Now shut up so I can sleep,” Zuri said, her voice muffled by the pillow.

Audrey tried to go back to sleep, but found herself restless and still jumpy after the nightmare. She got up, as to not disturb Zuri, and snuck downstairs. Audrey grabbed her book from her desk behind the counter and sat down in one of the comfy chairs to read until opening time.

(I'm so sorry for the short and long awaited chapter my loyal readers, it's been a stressful time and I've been focused on school and dealing with some personal problems. I will try to keep writing chapter 8
