I don’t particularly like this chapter, so don’t be surprised if I decide to change it.

Chapter Fourteen: Kakashi’s Wrath

Kakashi gave me a hard look before rushing to Sakura. He lazily helped her out of the river. I don’t know why he even bothered, he could’ve just left her there. Maybe she wouldn’t have bothered to come out. Then everyone would peacefully lead happy lives. I don’t know of one person that would actually miss her.

“So, today we are going to start your missions. Report to the Hokage tower at once!” Kakashi ordered. He didn’t seem very pleased this morning. What ever could be wrong with the village pervert? I pondered hilarious scenarios while Sakura complained.

“Kakashi-sensei! Could I please go home and change? If it was for her I wouldn’t be so wet.” Her being me. When talking about me, disgust was distinct in her voice, but when talking about Kakashi, there was nothing but utmost respect.

“That’s what she said.” Murmured Kakashi.

“What?” Sakura was obviously confused, whereas everyone--except Sasuke-- giggled like school children. “Sakura,” Kakashi started, taking a upon a serious tone. “You’re just going to have to tough it out. Now report to the Hokage.” Everyone took their leave, before Kakashi even finished speaking.

“Except for you, Hitomi.” He added. Great. So now I was the one being punished? What about Sakura? She had hit me first, I was only defending myself. “Bye, Bye Hitomi.” Sakura waved. It almost as if she had planned the whole thing. Now, I was stuck with the old man. I was going to miss out on our very first mission, to listen to him lecture me. That also meant no money for me. When I starve to death, I’ll make sure to haunt the hell out of Kakashi.

“Explain to me why you were fixing to pummel Sakura into the ground.” Kakashi didn’t even sound interested. He acted as if it should just be said, and left alone. “Sparring?” I asked, hopefully. Maybe if I told him we were so bored because we were waiting so long on him, that we decided to train, he’d let me off easy. Then, I wouldn’t have to miss out on our first mission. I’d be fashionably late, though.

“Either Sakura is a really sore loser, or Sasuke was on the side lines, cheering for you.”

“Both,” I nodded. He was buying it! Score for Hitomi! I could’ve fist pumped the air, if that wouldn’t blow my cover.

He nodded. “You’re lying,” My shoulders slumped. How in the world did he know? Unless he was bluffing and I just blew my lie. Dammit. I did a face palm. Did I have to be so stupid? “No, no I’m not.” Even if it was totally obvious that I was, I wasn’t about to give into him. He sighed, knowing where this was going. “Just tell the truth, and I won’t give you a harsh punishment.” Fair enough.

“I kissed Sasuke, she slapped me. So….I slapped her back. She got pretty pissed, and I was only defending myself.” He rubbed his masked chin in a thoughtful manor. “How much do you like Sasuke, Hitomi?” He asked. Where was he going with this? Shouldn’t he be worrying about my punishment? Not my emotional feelings for another human being.

Lying was definitely out of the picture. It was obvious he could pick up on my lies, easily. And I always thought I was a good actor, shows what I know. “He’s not the best. In fact, I still have this very strong feeling of dislike towards him. It’s not as bad as it used to be, though.” He looked at me in a curious manor. “But, you kissed him?” Why was the team leader interested in my love life? More importantly, why was he trying to mix my love life with my feelings towards Sasuke?

“Sure, but it’s not like it meant anything.”

“Then, why did you kiss him?”

“For Sakura’s benefit.”

“I’m not sure Sakura was actually benefiting from that kiss, Hitomi. You were trying to make her angry, were you not?”

I nodded. What did this have to do with anything? “Oh, and to get revenge on Naruto.” Kakashi seemed amused. Yeah, I have that effect on people. I nodded my head with approval. He then gave me a look that stated, ‘You are clearly mentally unstable and need some serious help.’ I shrugged, not really caring.

“Okay, you can go. I shall notify the Hokage on why you were late. You will be doing your missions by yourself today.”

“Is that my punishment? This is going to be a breeze.” Pfft, if that was it, then I will be doing stuff like this more often. It wasn’t that bad. The perverted man will ask me why I tried to kill Sakura, as me personal questions about Sasuke, analyze, and give me missions by myself. Piece of cake.

He shook his head. “Not even close.” There was an awful sinking feeling in my chest. He put his hand on my shoulder. “ I have to arrange things with the Hokage, first. Now, let’s get going.” I so wasn’t looking forward to this day.

The sun was starting to set as I went to the Hokage tower. I was reporting in my last mission for the day. They were rather bland. Baby sit a few kids, find a ferocious cat, help a lady with her groceries, and pull a few weeds. I thought I was a ninja, shouldn’t I be doing ninja task? I wasn’t a freaking charity worker. Money was money, I guess. I sighed, besides this morning, today was rather uneventful. Now I could go home, and rest. I knocked on the Hokage’s door. “Come in,”

“Ah, Hitomi. It’s nice that you were finally able to join us.” Everyone from team 7 was here, and looked as dirty and tired as I felt. Kakashi looked quite clean. Lazy bum. “Kakashi has informed me of the incident that was held this morning. And you shall receive your punishment. But first, I assume your mission was a success?”

I nodded, eager to get this punishment out of the way. The Hokage seemed pleased, handing me a small amount of cash. I looked over to Kakashi and noticed he was reading one of his perverted books. There was also suitcases at his feet. One labeled ‘Taki Hitomi’ the other ‘Haruno Sakura’. Why were there suitcases with mine and the devil’s names on them? What exactly did that have planned?

“Your sensei and I have both agreed on a decision. What Hitomi and Sakura did will affect you all. We have made it to be a displeasure for both girls. I’m sorry for Sasuke and Naruto to be punished as well. But--” Naruto interrupted his long speech. Not that anyone was complaining.

“Why do I have to be punished?! I didn’t do anything! Believe it!” he yelled. Sasuke nodded in agreement.

“You are all a team. Consequences will be handed out as a team, and you will all act as a team. Neither of you tried to intervene in the brawl that was being held before your eyes. Making you as worthy as them to be given a punishment.” Kakashi said, not bothering to look up from his book.

“Well said. Seeing how my speech was completely ruined, I’m just going to hand out your consequence. Naruto, you are to house Sakura, and Sasuke, you will do the same for Hitomi. You are to roof these girls until Kakashi decides otherwise. Hitomi, Sakura, you are to abide by their rules, as you are going to be living with them for a while. You are still paying the rent for your own apartment, as well as a quarter of their rent. You will also help pay for the food. You are dismissed.”

Everyone’s jaws were on the floor, except for Sakura. She was, yet again, crying. She was like a toddler throwing a fit because she didn’t get the toy she wanted. That was almost the case. “Why does she get to be with my Sasuke?!”

Ehh, I’m not so sure about this chapter. So tell me what you think. As you all know, TODAY IS MY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY ON WATTPAD! AH! I’m so happy(: I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Because of my anniversary, I will try to upload a second chapter to this TONIGHT!

Amazed? Yeah, me too. I don’t know when I got so nice. I would just like to say I love all 49* of my fans. You guys are truly a blessing<3 Without you, I would have never thought about updating, much less having 3 stories.(Although I haven’t worked on my other two in such a long time…..oops…..I’m so irresponsible)
